Husky Liners Classic Style Custom Fit Molded Front Floor Liner for Select Ford Edge/Lincoln MKX Mod
I clean cars and these mats definately protect the carpets as well as any and better than most.
The fact that the hole for the OEM pin that holds the drivers mat in place is completely covered by these mats is a plus. Others have an opening that allows water and dirt to get to the carpet. This is another indication of the quality found in these "Made In America" mats.

This is the second time I have been asked to review this transaction for some strange reason. This vendor supposedly offered a "Scosche" brand set of USB chargers at a steeply discounted price. The chargers pictured in the offer clearly bore the Scosche brand name, and they used the Scosche "retail price" from which to show the steep markdown in price.
When I received these items there were in no kind of packaging -just loose inside of a jiffy bag mailer, so it was difficult to tell if they were even new. Though the items looked similar to the ones pictured in the offer, they were NOT Scosche brand products. They were instead some cheap, no-name, made in China, knockoff, of the type you'll find on Ebay selling for a buck apiece.
When I wrote back, the vendor admitted that the items were not Scosche but rather "OEM", but assured me they have sold "thousands without any problem". They further went on to "guarantee" that I would have "no problem" with the units. Their guarantee however, would be of little consequence should one of these cheap chargers fry my daughters expensive Ipod.
I decided to cut my losses as the whole transaction was just a few bucks. The vendor did refund my money, (I think), and the only reason I am responding to this request for a review again, is to warn other buyers.
Look, bottom line is: Amazon is a great resource that I have used in the past, and will surely use again. And this is the first time I have experienced any kind of problem purchasing through Amazon. But vendors who engage in classic "bait and switch" tactics are not worthy of being represented by Amazon.

Car charger works well and so does the home/travel charger. The pins fold back on the home/travel charger which makes it good to travel with. The cords do not come with these items.I bought this for my wife's car, which I usually use on the weekends. She has an iPhone, I have a BlackBerry, so I wanted to minimize charger clutter in the car. While it works fine with her iPhone 3Gs, it does NOT work with my BlackBerry 9800. A message pops up on the BlackBerry saying that the connected charger is insufficient to power the device. So much for the "universal" part, although I have long ago learned not to trust the title descriptions on Amazon.
Oddly enough, the AC outlet charger does work with my BB. But if you are buying this primarily for use in the car, be forewarned: the iPhone, yes; BlackBerry, no.

I was a bit skeptical when I saw this product being shipped from China. But it works. If you do your own oil change or have a difficult time finding a mechanic who can reset your inspection service light, this is a very good buy. It is simple to use and worked as promised. Just remember this is not a diagnostic tool.Husky Liners Custom Fit Heavy Duty Front Floor Mat (Tan)
The floor mats themselves appear to be good quality, and if you are looking for rugged floor mats and do not care about them being a perfect fit/color, then I would recommend these mats, but I would probably suggest buying the black ones rather than the tan.
But if you are looking for a custom mat that matches your vehicle like the factory mats, then you will be disappointed with these.
Also to note, these mats are two individual mats that fit in front of the driver's and passenger's front seat. They do not cover the front of the vehicle the way the factory mat does, and would probably require some trimming for an ideal fit.THE MATS SEEM VERY DURABLE. I WAS EXPECTING THE FIT TO BE BETTER. SEEMS LIKE THEY NEED TO BE TRIMMED TO FIT. IT WAS A GOOD PURCHASE.

New Combo Rapid Car Charger + Home Wall Charger + USB Data Charge Sync Cable for AT&T Samsung Galax
In that regard, they work well enough as extras. I would have given these products five stars for doing what I need them for, but my rating went lower because of the AC charger. To start, it doesn't charge as quickly as an AC charger should. I tested it extensively and it seems to charge at the same rate as plugging your phone into a computer USB port -to get to the gist, it charges slowly. Whereas the original Samsung AC adapter would charge from 5% to almost 100% in two hours or so, this AC charger would take 4-5 hours to do the same (i.e. USB port rate).
Furthermore, and this is what really brought the score down, it appears there is some sort of glitch related to the AC charger. When charging through the AC charger and using the phone at the same time, the responsiveness of my phone (the Galaxy Skyrocket) would go down dramatically. Often, I would be completely unable to enter my lock-screen pattern or I would have to touch the screen several times before my touch registers or simply that my touch would register after a 2-3 second delay. I have to unplug the phone from the charger to make the phone responsive again.
I haven't tested whether this same issue is there on the car/USB charger, but AC charging is my primary method of charging, so this is a big downer. If the above issues I listed are not a problem for you, then these offers a great extras to what you already have. If the above issues do present a problem, I'd suggest buying something of a higher quality to ensure a good experience. This was a sweet deal and I am so glad I purchased it when I did. I can now charge my phone anywhere at home and in my car at anytimeThese are not a bad product for the pri ce, but the car charger and wall outlet have to be just right or they will not charge.First had a problem with car charger It ok now the car charger working but got a replace meant and it work ok nowThis item was great, just as described. would do biz again. Plan to in the near future! I have recommended to friends. Thanks

This was the most expensive spotlight at a sporting goods store in Cedar City, Utah so I bought it as I've always believed that you get what you pay for and figured this would be a quality product. Charged it and went spotlighting jackrabbits the following night. Within 15 minutes it started getting dim and within 30 minutes was almost completely dead. Charged again and tried it with the same results. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone unless you need a $40 doorstop.Read Best Reviews of Peak PKC0TM 1 Million Candlepower Spotlight Here
I purchased this light at Pep Boys. Charged it up, per the manual As others have said, it worked for 10 minutes, and that was it. Totally useless. And these are the same people that make Peak antifreeze, as well as other products. Thus, I will not purchase any Peak products in the future. To send this back, and pay for postage and insurance, will be more than I paid for the light. Guess Peak knows this. What a piece of junk!Want Peak PKC0TM 1 Million Candlepower Spotlight Discount?
This Peak Spotlight does not perform as I had hoped. This was on sale at a local store for roughly half the price as it is being sold on Amazon, and it really isn't even worth what we paid. This does have some good features (built in AC charger, good mini-LED light, and a very solid body), but it does not last for much longer than 20 or 30 minutes when fully charged. I have also noticed that it loses it's charge if left unplugged, so it lasts for even a shorter time when you need it. The car charger works to charge the spotlight but it can't directly power the spotlight.
We keep this plugged in at all times now in our shop so it will be ready for use when we need it. I had hoped to keep this in my truck for emergency use but the inability to hold a charge makes it unsuitable for that use.
Not Recommended!

IMPERIAL 5991 BATTERY TEST HYDROMETER

OTC 3184 Professional Battery Charging/Starting System Analyzer Kit
The literature claims the tester will operate with as little as 1 VDC, and there is no need to charge the batteries before testing. When I arrived on the client's boat, the batteries were at 11.85-12.00 V, which should be plenty to test the batteries. Not so. The 3184 responded with "Charge & Retest".
After charging to "Float" with the multistage charger, the batteries were at 12.33-12.46 V (low for fully charged batteries). The 3184 responded with "Good Battery" for each battery, based on the CCA being close to the factory rated value. The only problem is that the batteries are NOT good. They are rated for 198 Amp-hours each, but can only supply about 10% of that before the voltage drops to a useless level (11.7 V).
After much deliberation with OTC tech support, it turns out that the 3184 tester is not capable of testing all lead-acid battery types. My client has AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries, and the 3184 gives erroneous results. There is no mention of this shortcoming in any of the (minimal) literature supplied with the tester, or in OTC's description of the tester on their web site. I actually found the problem in the online OTC catalog on a "compare features" page while waiting on hold, and the OTC tech support people were not even aware of it.
Thankfully, Amazon will accept my return. I am upgrading to the OTC 3167 tester, which claims to be able to test "All" 6-12 V lead-acid batteries, including AGM. Still waiting for delivery.Since not much can be found online about this product I hope to shed some light on this tester.
The OTC 3184 is a conductance battery tester and not a load tester. This technology now seems to be the preferred method of testing the condition of automotive batteries.
Testing a battery on the bench is done by simply selecting the battery rating with the tester and then allowing the tester to run its cycle. The tester will display the batteries voltage, if it is good or bad, and capacity in CCA, a very nice feature.
Charging and starting tests are very simple. The starting test records the lowest voltage from the battery while cranking the engine. The charging tests measure alternator output while at idle, 2000 rpm and 1000 rpm with varying loads turned on or off (headlights, heater, etc). There is also a test for alternator ripple voltage, this is the test that can really save you a lot of headache.
Test results are very repeatable and seem in line with load testing results.
I think the menu system could be a little better, but that's my only complaint.
Overall, a very nice tester to have in your toolbox.

I purchased for work. I maintain diesels that have four batteries each, 12 volts each. It works on 24 volt, but our batteries are 1500 amps each. It has trouble reading the cranking amps of both batteries at the same time. I just remove the jumper between the two and test each one individually. I do wish it tested amp hour rated batteries. It only does CCA and similar.Want OTC 3184 Professional Battery Charging/Starting System Analyzer Kit Discount?
Measures CCA, but not very good at determining if battery is chargeable or sulfated. Still it's much better than using a voltmeter to inspect batteries and it's relatively inexpensive.Friday, August 30, 2013

The first time I inserted a plug into this receptacle it pulled out the inner metal sleeve when I pulled out the plug. This socket is perfect for anyone looking to match this to a motorcycle. It come just as it looks in the picture and I cannot be any happier with the quality and shipping time. Easy to mount with the low profile plastic mount. The spring loaded lip is amazingly tough and tight fitting, I find that if you put it on a motorcycle that vibrates as we all know, the little extra pressure on whatever you plug into it keeps it from backing out and causing a false connection. Uniden Public Safety Receiver (Home Patrol- 1)
As for the hardware itself, the HP-1 is a very solid performer. The receiver has great sensitivity and selectivity. I've listened to APCO-25 digital systems, EDACS, and Motorola analog trunking systems. All of them were configured correctly without any user input. Audio quality is good, but not great. It is about what I expected from a very small speaker. The small SMA duck antenna performs surprisingly well, especially on UHF. The touch screen is bright and easy to use. Battery life with the included 2300mAh batteries is good. I get over 8 hours on a single charge. The scanner is capable of replaying and recording transmissions. A very cool feature. The scanner also comes with a home charger/adapter, car charger/adapter, and home stand. The stand is a nice touch. The HomePatrol-1 is a nice addition to my collection of scanners. People that don't like to program their scanners, or would like to use it in different areas, will probably enjoy it also.
Update: A few months ago, Uniden introduced a new "Extreme Upgrade" firmware update for the Home Patrol-1. They are charging $100 for this upgrade, and it adds some new features to the scanner. So basically in order for you get all the features of the Home Patrol-1, you now have to spend $600, or you'll have a crippled $500 radio. In my opinion, this is a dangerous practice. Many in the Amatuer Radio Community are outraged about this, but everyone has to decide for themselves whether or not they have an issue with this. As a matter of principle, I will not be paying another $100 for a firmware upgrade, and I lowered my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. I will also think twice about purchasing another Uniden radio since I'll never know whether or not Uniden will be charging for future upgrades.Could I be dreaming? Is this really true for this price? All these features with a touch screen? Long and the short of it is this is an amazing breakthrough in digital scanners at this price point! I am a news videographer who has worked in many different markets for various stations and has had a number of different scanners through the years. The Home Patrol 1 beats many of them hands down from both a pro and amateur level. Yes the unit needs some work but I expected that as this is such a new product.
The Pros: Right out of the box you can set it up to work via zipcode, city, GPS(need the proper connection), or area (the HP1 automatically picks up what signals are in the area). These methods work extremely well right out of the box but do have some issues which I'll get to in the Cons section.
For this price it comes with everything, home AND car charger, preloaded frequencies, stand and software all in a touch screen package. Hands down this can't be beat.
The touch screen is brilliant and relatively easy to navigate. Set brightness, auto dim, contrast and power save to your liking and your off.
Having all the frequencies preloaded on a 2gig micro SD card is great also Plus the fact that Uniden updates the list on a regular basis which is taken care of just by plugging the unit into the computer and hitting update in the software.
Squelch, attenuation, range, inputting frequencies, favorites, gps connection and yes even recording are all here.
The In Between: My understanding is that Uniden knows about these problems and are working on fixing them.
While having the ability to set zipcode, range, area etc. is fantastic the unit gets a bit confused and leads to excessive work out of the box. I put my zipcode in and it loaded states that were over two hours away. Same thing with entering range, I set it for 15 miles and it loads frequencies from over forty miles away. So then you have to work on locking out channels left and right.
You can set up what you want to listen to such as fire, police, transportation, rail, etc. but the problem is even with certain departments chosen it will just load everything up. For example all I wanted was police, fire and ems yet it loaded up rail, airports and transportation anyway.
Again Uniden knows about these problems and is working on them.
The Bad or Nitpicky: Being able to save favorites in the unit is a good thing to have but to make an entire list is a giant time consuming pain and your much better off making a list in the software which leads me to the next problem. The software is easy to navigate but has little to no instruction on creating and saving your lists to the unit. I figured it out and once figured out it is a snap but a little instruction would go a long way. In fact entering and saving frequencies in the software is easier than entering them in the unit itself.
The touch screen is a giant step forward but needs some tweeks. I like seeing County, Department, Frequency etc. and be able to one touch lock but to skip a channel requires a three touch process on the tiny bar on the right which while driving can be a pain. This needs to be a one button step like on other handhelds.
The squelch feature is great to have but on the other handheld units you have more finite control with a turn type knob.
Overall a fantastic scanner for the money, it really can't be beat. Yes there are some nitpicky issues but Uniden is working on addressing them and once addressed will make the Home Patrol 1 THE unit to have. Uniden needs to come out with the car mount like they said they were going to three months ago.
Any questions on the software or unit feel free to ask.

I'm in a small city in New Mexico and I'm sure that this scanner works perfectly in Dallas or even Albuquerque but it doesn't work where I am. The advertisements state that when you type in your zip code or city you can begin listening to fire, police, emergency transmissions etc. Unfortunately the transmissions come from a database and if your local police, fire, etc. frequencies aren't in the data base you hear nothing at all. The unit looks like you are scanning Police, railroads, etc. but it never stops.I'd advise contacting Uniden before investing in this expensive unit if you are in a small town or city.

I've owned all types of scanners over my life having to jump to new technologies as radio systems have evolved across this land. This particular uniden isn't geared towards the advanced user, you know who your are,the ones who are at ease with programming in trunked radio systems, modes, attenuations and the like. This scanner is geared toward general novice scanner users.....and it's a breeze to use for the most part...I really like it's ability to record audio unattended...and replay it displaying the agency and talkgroup just like as if it were capturing the transmission in real time. It's fun to use while sleeping in a hotel, then replaying what happened overnight in a town you're unfamiliar with... You tend to get a feeling of the more crime ridden parts of a community, (Ooh better stay off so in so street on my way to that meeting etc.)
Even though it really is intended for Home use...you can use it while mobile and even attach hockey puck style GPS devices(with a whole lot of wiring) so you can tool down our nations roadways listening where legal as you drive, it will track systems as you move from area to area... Please remember it's unlawful to use and even have a scanner in your car in a few states (MN,IN,KY,FL,SD,NY) ..So those of you who intend on tossing the unit on your dashboard like a GPS, while trucking cross country might run afowl of the folks you're listening to, so play nice..and follow the laws. Just cuz it's lawful to scan in your home, doesn't mean it's lawful nationwide to scan while mobile.
The audio of the unit at home is fine, while mobile it's not as loud as it should be...and an external speaker should be considered...and there's no easy way to mount the unit in many cars simply because of where Uniden chose to place the SMA style antenna. (it's a very poor location).
It has some advanced features buried in the advanced menu portion of the unit , if you want to manually program a frequency, or tell it to avoid specific systems or departments with in 20 miles or so of you...and as discussed in other reviews...the manual is just plainly poorly written and the software isn't the best either. But it's uniden's first real attempt at a scanner for the masses, living with advanced radio systems in their midst, using data from Radio reference to find it's way from city to city , department to department.
All in all a 4 out of 5 , NOT too highly recommended for folks who are used to the technological side of scanning, but rather those who live in a city with advanced public service communications systems and really just wish to listen to what's happening when a siren races past your home. Just pop in the zip, block out (avoid) the systems and agencies you don't want the unit to receive and you're off and running.
Enjoy and remember watch those mobile scanner laws....you don't want a Kentucky State Patrol person rolling a Crown Vic rear tire over your $500.00 HP 1 at the side of the road during a traffic stop.

My objective was to find a user friendly scanner that did not require an advanced degree is math and physics coupled with years of programming experience, and a professional electronics background. This scanner is easy to use right out of the box, and meets that criteria. What a novel idea . . . a product easy to use and understand.
