Duracell 813-1500-07 1,500 Watt DC to AC Power Inverter

Duracell 813-1500-07 1,500 Watt DC to AC Power InverterThe Durucell Inverter 1500 watt works just great. I had no problems at all. I saw in reviews that some people had the inverter begin to smoke as soon as they hooked it up. That's what happens when you don't hook possitive terminals to possitive and negative to negative. You need to be real careful and double check before you hook up and turn on. Plus don't use any cables that are smaller than the ones provided. I add a 40 amp fuse link to the possitive cable just to be on the safe side. This will avoid any possible electrical fire.

Purchased this to replace on I already had installed.

It is a great value for the money. It was about half as much as any other comparable brand and type. I got it installed and it's working great.

This is a great product produces enough energy to power

tools and small appliances. I love the fact that it only

requires one set of wires that are included, You cant beat that.

Only improvement needed are one or two more outlets.

Item works as advertised.

I powered a microwave and coffee maker at the same time with no problem or the fans coming on.

You have to follow the instructions and use 4gauge wiring no more than 5 feet long(jumper or welding cables work great). You also have to use some kind of fuse as close to the battery as practical (you can use an inline 100amp from a car stereo shop) and ground the unit with 8 gauge wire from its chassis to that of your RV, car or boat..if you don't, you risk frying the unit. I read those reviews about smoke pouring out and think that a $1.50 fuse could have saved $170 worth of clean, noise free power.People, read the manual!!!

Want Duracell 813-1500-07 1,500 Watt DC to AC Power Inverter Discount?

During hurricane Irene, there were widespread power outages and it was nearly impossible to get any sort of portable generator on Long Island. Instead, I ordered a Duracell inverter and purchased a pair of deep-cycle marine batteries to use as a power source. It was sort of amazing to see the delivery truck show up the next day, even with the streets in my town cluttered with downed trees and power lines major credit to Amazon and their shipper for getting me this thing in under 24 hours.

I used the inverter to power my (oil-fired) hot water heater as well as some lights and a microwave oven (not all at once, of course). There's quite a bit of energy in those marine batteries, and I was able to get about five hot showers out of my water heater with a single battery charge. When the battery ran down, I connected it to my car via jumper cables and recharged it. It was a lot of work, but our power was out for a week, and this at least gave us hot water and some lighting until I could find a suitable generator.

Through the ordeal, the Duracell inverter worked perfectly no complaints whatsoever. It handled the surge current required by my hot water heater when it started, and never even became hot to the touch. I don't think the internal fans ever even snapped on. Otherwise, the rest of the construction quality is very good, and it was easy to setup. You do need to supply your own connecting wire I made mine using an old set of jumper cables. If you need more power, there's even a 3000 watt version of this same inverter.

Highly recommended, especially at this price.

Portable Bluetooth Rechargeable Speaker For Many Cellphones mp3 mp4 iPod iPhone

Portable Bluetooth Rechargeable Speaker For Many Cellphones mp3 mp4 iPod iPhoneThis is by far one of my favorite purchases ever. Connects via bluetooth to your phone or whatever else. I originally bought this so I could listen to my music and podcasts in the shower, without needing my phone in a steamy room to get ruined. Works great! I can keep my phone plugged in elsewhere and just bring the speakers outside or the kitchen. I have even taken it to the beach and kept my phone safely tucked away elsewhere. Also, this is by far the least expensive bt speaker, so I thought the sound would be awful. NOPE! The sound is excellent! Nice bass and clear highs. Think I might buy another!

I bought this speaker from Cell Phone Shop online store and so far I'm pleased with the quality for the price, sure it's no $400 high end speaker like a BOSE (Which is a over priced brand anyway) or maybe Ihome or Logitech Wireless Boombox or the quality you would get from a wired set of Quality speakers but for 25 bucks shipped its a good speaker that has decent volume which is what I wanted it for.

It has decent highs and good mid range and fair Bass for such small speakers you can't expect deep bass but at least it has some Bass.

It gets fairly loud without too much distortion at max volume on both the speaker and the Blue Tooth device if I set the speakers to Max volume and my Tablet it distorts slightly but if I set my tablet volume to less then max but leave the speakers at Max then it will not distort.

One thing I kind of don't like is how the volume on the speakers does not increase and decrease very gradually it kind of jumps in larger steps then other audio devices but that is easily composted by using the volume controls on your device.

I tested it with my Samsung Intensity 3 and it seemed to work ok with voice commands even if I did not hold it like a mike and was back a few feet in front of the speakers and it still understood what I was saying have not tried it on a actual call to a real person yet.

I also I like how it comes with a audio patch cable and a little disk thing for the stand it has a hole in it and I guess that is so you can put it on a string but I don't see where you can tie the other end to the speaker, there is a hole at the top right corner of the speaker but it does not go through to the side of the speaker so the string would have no where to come out and tie to the speaker, maybe the hole so to tie the speaker to something on a table to keep it from being accidentally pushed, pulled or knocked off the table.

The other good thing is the battery is a Nokia Cell Phone battery that is easily replaced and if you have old Nokia Phone laying around you can always have a charged battery handy and use the cell phone to charge one battery while using another one so if one battery runs out of charge you can just swap it out with the one already charged by the phone and charge the discharged one in the phone and not have to wait for the speaker to charge the battery before you can use it without being tied to the AC Outlet or you computers USB Port.

I've only had it a day so I can't say anything about the durability or longevity of the product but I hope it lasts many years.

Pros:

Only 25 bucks shipped from

Uses easy to replace Cell Phone battery BL-5C used by many Nokia Cell Phones

Small and portable

Good sound and volume for the price

Uses a Mini USB Cable to charge and power it and it will charge while operating.

Since it uses a mini USB port for the charger it is easy to find a spare charger at just about any store just get one for a crack berry or a older Motorola Cell Phone like the famous Razor.

Has a line in jack and comes with the audio cable so you can use it with a non blue tooth audio device that has a standard 3.5mm head phone jack.

Cons:

No Audio Out Jack to allow hooking to a home stereo but for only 25 bucks you can't expect lots of extra features

Volume control on speaker is jumpy and not very gradual or precise

Does not get real real loud but it's much louder then most if not all built in speaker on tablets and cell phones.

No carrying pouch or case

The power button is a mechanical manual switch as apposed to a electronic button so it may wear out eventually plus when it's plugged into the USB Cable it is slightly blocked making it difficult to slide when charging.

It has no indication when the battery is getting low, no beeps every few minutes or LED changing colour based on the battery level.

The operating instructions are on the box and since most people throw out the boxes their products come most people will lose the instructions, it would be better if the instructions were on a piece of paper or in a instruction manual plus the instructions are very basic and don't have much detail.

So initially when I started looking for speakers for my phone I was surprised to come across this one and through reading the reviews and specs decided to try some in store speakers instead. Once those were a bust I came home and ordered these. Shipping was fast and when I opened the speaker up to try it out I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to pair my phone and how great the sound was. I mean for as tiny as this speaker is it sounds like I'm carrying around a whole stereo. Very happy I decided to go with this one instead and loved the price point!!!!

Actually it's the only $20 blutooth speaker on the market. I bought it to test my appetite for pricer options. It drove me to the Jawbone (good but not $200 good) and eventually the Supertooth Disco (I hope it's $114 good). Based on reviews here and online it should be.

That having been said I kept this one. Good for just having around as a cheap option for the pool, beach or room to room music.

Want Portable Bluetooth Rechargeable Speaker For Many Cellphones mp3 mp4 iPod iPhone Discount?

After deciding to take a chance, I am very impressed with this speaker! Under $25, paired automatically in seconds with my iPad 2, and very respectable sound quality. I agree, the sound buttons are dodgy ( long press for volume change, short press for track change) and it is simply easier to control off the iPad itself, but I can live with that.

This is not for the audiophile, but great function at a low price. Highly recommended.

Kastar B600 Heavy Duty Battery Carrier

Kastar B600 Heavy Duty Battery CarrierWhen it was time to replace the eight motorhome batteries I needed a carrier that I could use to lift the 60-pound batteries out of the tray. This was the perfect tool, it got a good grip and DID NOT SLIP !

I purchased this unit because I lift around 1 1/2 toms of batteries a day. This unit would have been fine for standard car batteries but the heavy duty power supply batteries were just a little too much for this. Especially if it was humid outside. The rubber grips inside the jaws become very slippery when wet.

Buy Kastar B600 Heavy Duty Battery Carrier Now

I needed a tool to make it easier to manage my collection of old cars and batteries. I found this tool on Amazon, ordered it, and am very satisfied with its performance and practicality. It fits all my battery sizes, makes it easy to move batteries with one hand, and is slim enough to drop batteries into small compartments or cramped surroundings. The rubber pads on the arms seem to grip the sides of most batteries if the surface is relatively clean. All in all, I'm glad I made this purchase.

The idea is great. The only problem is, it isn't high enough to clear the battery terminals and tops for the water (marine battery). My father, who I bought it for, had a hard time getting his hand all the way around the handle. If it was about 6 inches taller, it would be perfect.

Want Kastar B600 Heavy Duty Battery Carrier Discount?

Great tool if you have to change batteries. Works even better with hard to get to batteries.

It lifts heavy batteries such as 8 V golf cart batteries. As you may know, these heavy batteries are placed very close to each other and hard to get to unless you have a tool like this. Highly recommend.

Keyless Entry Remote Fob Clicker for 2002 Toyota Avalon With Do-It-Yourself Programming

Keyless Entry Remote Fob Clicker for 2002 Toyota Avalon With Do-It-Yourself ProgrammingI received this remote in very good condition and the price was much better than other offers. I replaced the battery for good measure. After searching the internet for the proper programming procedure, I found the following post which worked for this remote.

Here is some background information from the original poster who used the procedure on a 1998 Toyota Avalon:

FCC ID:HYQ1512Y

CAN: 1551 102578

RSS-210

DENSO

Detailed Procedure:

1. Open driver's door.

2. Insert and remove key from ignition.

3. Lock and unlock power door locks 5 times.

4. Close driver's door and reopen it.

5. Lock and unlock power door locks 5 times.

6. Insert key and turn it on and off 2 times without cranking the engine, then pull the key out.

The locks should lock and unlock automatically, one time.

7. Press both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time.

8. Press the lock button once.

The locks should lock and unlock automatically, one time.

If the locks lock and unlock twice, it didn't work. Repeat steps 7 and 8.

If you wait too long between steps, you need to start over.

If you are programming more than one remote, just repeat steps 7 and 8 immediately after you finish steps 7 and 8 with the first remote. This way, they both obtain the same code.

This product is exactly what it was supposed to be. A keyless fob for a 2002 Toyota Avalon. The trouble came in trying to program it. The instructions did not work. I even had a locksmith try to no avail. When I called a Toyota dealer he told me there were four different ways to program this remote depending on when the car was built and that it would cost $60. That was all I needed. I kept looking on the internet to find and try alternate programing methods until I found one that worked. Turns out the programing from a 2000 2001 model year worked for this 2002 Avalon. So have patience if the programing does not work for you at first. Keep looking, you will find what works.

The clicker will not work. We tried the directions sent to us many times without luck. I took the clicker by Toyota to get it reprogramed. No luck. They put it into their computer and it is the wrong one. It looks like it, they said, but it is the wrong one, I think it has to do the trunk part. Our clicker doesn't look like that. Wish it had worked. Have to send back.

Husky Liners Custom Fit Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set for Select Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Si

Husky Liners Custom Fit Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set for Select Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra ModelsThis is the second set of form fitted floor mats for my 2009 Chevrolet Extended cab. They fit 100% better than my previous ones which were more expensive. They clean easily, and are great looking. So far no curling of the mat or any other issues. I expect these will last for a while based on their performance so far.

I will be sticking with Husky liners in all of my vehicles.

the fit in the back sucks honestly and makes it more difficult for my kids to get in and out of the truck. The back part is a complete waste of money. The front is pretty good but also does not fit perfectly

Roadpro 12V Hot Pot, 20 oz.

Roadpro 12V Hot Pot, 20 oz.I bought this hot pot, along with a 4-pack of Melitta Ready, Set Joe kits, for a road trip during which stopping for coffee, tea and hot chocolate was not an option. My executive summary of the product is that it works well (and, for those wondering about product longevity, still works even after multiple uses) and that it can boil water. We're very happy with it.

Read on to find out why I give the product 4 stars instead of 5.

The product description could do a better job of managing customer expectations. While this hot pot will boil water, it does take 35 minutes or so to bring a full 20 ounces of it to a boil. This isn't due to any defect in the product's design. It has everything to do with the fact that a car's 12-volt, direct current electrical system isn't made for high-wattage appliances. My minivan can supply up to 120W per outlet, i.e., up to 10A at 12VDC, which is not very much, and I assume this is fairly standard. In contrast, conventional hot pots draw 3-5 times as much power from household current, which is why they boil water faster.

Other than that, my few gripes about this hot pot are:

1. It comes with a mounting bracket, but no instructions that might give an inkling on how one might use it to attach the hot pot to anything on the inside of your vehicle. We ended up discarding the bracket and placing the hot pot on our center console, which is flat, as well as several other flat surfaces we created. But this requires somebody to watch the hot pot while the vehicle is in motion.

2. The lid and removable drinking cup sit on top of the pot, but don't snap or screw on. So this hot pot is NOT spillproof. See #1 above, and understand that if it tips over while it's in use, somebody might get hurt.

3. The exterior of the pot gets quite hot to the touch during use (although the handle stays nice and cool), so trying to hold it to prevent it from spilling is a bad idea.

4. The inside of the pot quickly builds up scaling from the minerals left behind when water evaporates. There's no way to reach in there with any kind of a brush to clean that out, and the interior surfaces would probably be damaged by such a brush anyway. I recommend filling the pot with white vinegar and soaking it for an hour or so after every trip to keep the scaling under control.

5. Despite what the product description says, don't even think of making soup, hot chocolate or any other prepared food in this hot pot. You will never be able to get the interior clean again if you do. Stick with instant drink and soup mixes, use a mug or bowl and pour the boiling water from the pot into your mug or bowl in order to make these foods.

6. There's no spout, and it's difficult to pour without spilling, so do be careful.

To help put the 20-ounce capacity into perspective:

1 standard mug holds about 10 ounces of liquid.

A typical travel mug holds 12-14 ounces.

A normal size disposable bowl holds 12 ounces.

A large size disposable bowl holds 20 ounces.

A normal size packet of hot chocolate requires 6 ounces of water and gives you about 8 ounces of hot chocolate.

As annoying as these shortcomings may sound, they're minor compared with the comfort and convenience of being able to have real, high-quality coffee (that's what the Ready, Set, Joe kits were for!), tea, cocoa and soup while traveling in places where service stations are few and far between or just nonexistent.

This unit works far better than the Max Burton version. The hardwired plug prevents the unit from shorting out. A cup of water almost boils in about 5 minutes. Would be nice if it were sealable like a thermos, and helpful if the measurements on the side were in cups as well as milliliters. about 250 milliliters to a cup. And like my Max Burton review, Nothing but water in these things. They say soups work in these things but even the protein in milk will burn on the heating elements. ONLY WATER! so instant add water drinks, oatmeal, ramen noodles, mashed potatoes.

Buy Roadpro 12V Hot Pot, 20 oz. Now

In preparation for a weeklong roadtrip with my son, I ordered this hotpot, planning to be able to warm up our coffee as we drove. Well there is a light that comes on when you plug in the pot, to let you know you have power, however the unit we received was defective. After about an hour of waiting for heat, I decided to see if it could be fixed. It is very easy to take apart. The leads for the heating element were loosely wrapped around the connectors, but not soldered. Having no tools with me in the car, I tried to reconnect the wires by hand, but could not get a good enough contact for it to heat. Final result: Cold coffee and 12v hotpot put in trash.

Read Best Reviews of Roadpro 12V Hot Pot, 20 oz. Here

I purchased this to use in an RV while boondocking. I have a solar system installed in my RV, and use a 12 volt system, so I needed something to boil water or to at least get water hot enough to make coffee. Well, this hot pot does the job! It definitely boils water with no problem. It takes a while if you have it to the full mark, but that's not a problem for me, as I'm just happy that it works and I don't have to use my propane stove and can now s ave money by using this 12 volt hot pot on power generated by the sun. Works perfect!

UPDATE: When it worked it worked great, but for some reason it stopped heating, but the light still works. I have since requested a replacement, and will return the defective one. I will update in a few months to let you guys know if the new one is still working.

UPDATE #2: I received the replacement unit, and it works fine, but I truly believe the first one stopped working because I left it on after it reached the boiling point, which I guess you need to unplug it at that point. I changed my 5 star rating to a 3 star because you have to really watch this pot or set a timer to make certain it doesn't overheat.

UPDATE #3: Its been 9 months since I've had the replacement unit, and it is still holding on. I heat it up until the boiling point and turn it off. I use the hot water for instant coffee, French press and the mellita drip cones, and all versions do fine with this Hot Pot. I love the fact I don't have to use my propane to heat up water over a stove. This pot has worked wonders for me, but as I had mentioned before.....just don't leave it plugged up too long and it will work wonders for you too. By the way, I noticed on the side of the hot pot is an "imprinted" messages that actually says to UNPLUG the cord as soon as it starts to boil, so that probably explains the failure of the first one. I will up my rating of this product to 4 stars, but now I just use a timer to keep track of the progress. This could be a 5 star product if it had an internal temperature control and wouldn't overheat.

Want Roadpro 12V Hot Pot, 20 oz. Discount?

The Hot Pot heats the water pretty weel, but the cap do not close tight, and the hot water can spill out very easy. I only use once, because I need to make some teas, while working outside and sometimes is difficult to find hot water, but I will never use it again and if I had the possibility to return I could do it, but I don't have the box and the packing list, anyways is not too expensive.

I would like to know, before I bought it, this trouble with the cap.

TRAVEL LITHIUM BACK UP BATTERY INCLUDES CAR CHARGER 13 POWER TIPS

TRAVEL LITHIUM BACK UP BATTERY INCLUDES CAR CHARGER 13 POWER TIPS
  • CELL PHONE NOT INCLUDED
  • Use as a power source or charger
  • Output voltage automatically adjusts for the electronic device in use

One issue people previously had with this product is that the mini-usb power connector was made of too brittle plastic and would break. This happened to me over the weekend. I sent them an email Sunday night and by Monday morning they had emailed me back asking my address to send replacement. Free of charge they rush shipped me two replacement mini-usb connectors wrapped in a new carry case. Sent Monday, arrived today (Wednesday). Wow!! Also the new mini-usb's sent to me are of the molded, more durable type so they have already updated their product.

This model (2000 mAH) will charge my Creative Zen 2gb mp3 player to full while I'm using it continuously and then still have about 3/4 of a charge leftover. Alternatively, I can get 2 full charges (as advertised) out of it if not using the player while charging. This may not be true of the lower power models. I looked at a lot at units like this before buying and every product seems to have complaints about how much juice it holds or quality of the battery. Obviously mileage may vary according to the device you're charging. This one is very attractive, well featured (has charge indicator, lots of connector tips, attractive carry case, car charger that also works for other devices etc.) and it works great. While it doesn't have a tip for my Samsung cell phone, I can use the standard USB receiver to connect it to my regular charger cord and it does a great job on that too. Only thing it needs is a belt clip or belt clip carry case. It does come with a spiral cord stretchy cable so it can go in your pocket and reach to wherever your player or phone is without sloppy cable to get caught on stuff.

Quality of battery seems excellent this company specializes in electric cars, handicap scooters, atv's etc so I'm confident in the quality of the battery. I highly recommend this product to anyone who's device needs a boost heavy music/audiobook listeners, cell phone talkers, campers & all day adventure sports types.

Husky Liners Classic Style Custom Fit Molded Front Floor Liner for Select Subaru Models (Black)

Husky Liners Classic Style Custom Fit Molded Front Floor Liner for Select Subaru ModelsOrdered for my 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX, Fit was spot on and they are a lot better than the Subaru All Weather mats that came with the car. It requires trimming for the gas door release and to make it work I had to trim a bit more than the mold would suggest. However you can't tell and it did not compromise the liner. I used a utility knife and it was easy. Very pleased with the product overall. It even had special indents to work with the floor mat holding pegs on the driver side which was a nice touch.

Husky Liners(black)model 34061

08' Subaru Forester SportX with black carpet

I had a very hard time spending this much money on a set of floor mats. I wouldn't call them true liners because they still leave a whole lot of places for water/dirt/etc to get on the carpet and I was hoping for more coverage. I still think they will do the job though, I just have to remember to check for water underneath that will not be able to evaporate otherwise. I took off one star for price/value. I think if they were closer to $30 or even $40 I could understand the plastic/cheap feeling they have. I took off another star because I had to buy them just to see what I was getting. This much money and we get a picture of a tire??? I searched and searched and couldn't find this exact model. Finally I bit the bullet, hoping it would be like some of the pictures I found showing the plastic covering the entire entry. Oh well.

p.s> the label on the box says model 34061(i think the 1 means black) fits Subaru Forester 99'-08'

p.p.s>I posted the pictures above and will track any comments left on this review. If you have a question or think I need to take another picture so you can check something let me know.

I love Husky Liners and put them in every vehicle I buy. I have one set that's over 15 years old and still going strong. They're beginning to wear thin under the pedals, but still keep snow, rain, mud, and debri off the carpets. In fact, the carpets still look almost new underneath after 15 years! The nice thing about Husky Liners is that they hold dirt, mud, and water like a tray. I just push my seat back, carefully pull out the liner without spilling the gunk, dump them out, then hose them off.

I haven't bought a set yet that didn't fit the floorpan of the vehicle almost perfectly.

Schumacher SE-4022 Manual Wheeled Battery Charger and Tester

Schumacher SE-4022 Manual Wheeled Battery Charger and TesterThis charger is a very nice charger. Prospective buyers should be aware (I was) that there is no automatic shut-off when battery is fully charged. There is a timer to regulate the length of charging time. I did not realize by the specs & write up that the "tester" was a simple volt meter. I already own 3 or 4 of those on different testers. Even though there is a convenience factor to the meter being mounted in the charger I would not have paid so much more for it had I realized a voltmeter was all that it is. Also I would have liked to see a sturdier set of wheels & tires that would make it roll better in gravel & dirt. I am certain that the high quality of this charger will give me many years of service. The 3 year manufacturers warranty is great. Shipping time was excellent.

Someone said the tester was just a voltmeter, so I got it because a voltmeter is adequate for a quick test at the car. But it is a voltmeter that only goes up to 12.7 volts!!!! And it has no numbers on it. Despite the fact the meter says "charging system" condition on it, it is only capable of measuring battery voltage. The meter is pegged in the green with 12.7 volts. (resting Voltage for a fully charged battery) Which means if you believed the word "good" on the "charging system" meter, you'd think the alternator was charging, but it may not be. It only tells you if the battery is charged or not (with the car off, and no surface charge on it). The manual explains that is it testing the battery, but it is not labeled well on the charger, and in the advertising.

Good, inexpensive manual charger, but VERY limited "tester".

I bought this charger after my hand held smart charger stopped working. I wanted a charger that had ample boost capability. I have used this charger a couple of times now and has worked flawlessly. I'm very pleased with its performance and very happy with the price. Please be aware that this is NOT a smart charger. I have owned several smart chargers (both high quality, $150 and low quality, $79)in the past and they have all either failed or were not accurate. This unit works very simple. Set the timer select the proper amperage and let it work. If you are unable to operate a manual charger I would recommend searching for good quality smart charger with very good reviews.

This is a great charger. I ordered it and received it three days later with standard shipping charges. Pretty impressive huh!!!

The only bad thing is the plastic, injection molded tires that come with the unit. They are hollow and pretty thin. I can't imagine they would last any length of time if it is moved around frequently. I did not even put them on the unit. I went to Home Depot and bought some hard rubber tires with metal wheels and had to buy some bushings as the axle on the unit is fairly small. It is now a great unit! Schumacher should just spend a little bit more for better tires and charge four or five dollars more.

Want Schumacher SE-4022 Manual Wheeled Battery Charger and Tester Discount?

Fast, free shipping and discounted price made for a great value purchase. Have used to charge dual batteries for diesel trucks. Works great! Did not start truck in start mode until 10 minutes of charge on completely dead batteries, but that may be normal for any charger in 200 amp start mode. Casing very thin, and wheels light duty, which is just fine unless you are in an abusive environment. The wheels work fine because the unit is not very heavy. I am very happy with this unit and would highly recommend it so long as you know how to calculate how long to charge your batteries (although the timer could have a larger time range for charging dual, parallel connected batteries). This is a manual charger that you can set the charge time for up to 2-1/2 hours at user selectable 40 or 2 amps. I don't trust my memory to leave it charge in continuous mode.

Goodyear i7000 12-Volt Direct Drive Heavy-Duty Tire Inflator

Goodyear i7000 12-Volt Direct Drive Heavy-Duty Tire InflatorI've owned two other tire inflators: both Craftsman. Both were as loud as a jackhammer and caused a massive racket when in use. And they were quite slow in inflating my car tires so the racket went on for longer than I desired. The primary features I wanted in a new unit was low noise output and an ability to inflate my 20" SUV tires. Wow! does this unit deliver! I plugged it in one of my car power outlets and turned it on in my enclosed garage. I know the noise was not noticeable to my townhouse neighbors. And the inflation is much faster: with my Craftsman, I would settle in for the wait to inflate 5psi, turn on the radio and check the gauge every few minutes. With this one, I had to watch the gauge closely to ensure I did not over-inflate within 1 minute. (According to the claim on the box, it will inflate a 14" tire from 0-28psi in under 2:30 seconds.)

What you get:

* 16-ft PVC air hose w/ quick connect cabling (much like most Craftsman air compressors);

* 10-ft power cord with a 15 amp fuse (this length, plus that of the air hose, should be plenty long enough for most folks);

* Built-in analog pressure gauge (above 30 psi, it displays 2psi increments up to 150psi);

* 4 LED lights built into the inflator (the lamp has a separate on/off switch from the inflator)

* Four inflation adaptors for toys, balls, rafts, etc.

The box also includes 2 replacement 12v fuses. I can't speak to longevity as I've not put it through any wear-and-tear but since it's a direct drive motor, fewer moving parts would imply that it should last longer than other gear driven models. The whole thing fits nicely in a carrying bag that can easily fit behind any car seat (it's about the size of an adult's soft lunchbox). Time will tell whether Goodyear was wise in allowing its name used on this model but so far, so good. Highly recommend.

I am upgrading from a cheap unit that was slow and noisy. After researching a number of air compressors online, I decided to purchase this unit. Just received it and tried it out. I am really pleased by this unit:

Incredibly quite and stable -it won't jump around like my previous unit;

Quick inflation -I tried to top off on my 31" truck tire. I did not time it, but I can see the needle moving at 33 psi. For bicycle tires, it takes only seconds;

Reasonable power draw -it did not blow the fuse on my 04 4Runner, and I don't have problem starting the truck after testing the unit without engine running to fill 3 bicycles and top off a truck tire;

Accurate gauge -I tested it against my other tire gauge and the readings are practically the same at 33 psi;

Quality construction. The chuck connector works much more reliably than the quick connector in my previous cheap unit. It loses a bit of air upon disconnect but can be easily compensated.

For an upcoming 3-week camping vacation I wanted a reliable compressor so that I could maintain the correct tire pressure for the tires on the pop-up camper. Camper tires will heat and fail (blow) if the pressure is too low. Our camper tires require 50 psi. I chose this compressor because it appeared to be heavier duty than the "cheaper" (below $20) varieties found at the discount stores. After 3 weeks and 5,000 miles, no blow-outs. Plus, we also had a truck tire with a slow leak and I was able to maintain good pressure in that tire without having to rely upon service station inflation vending machines. In summary, I believe this product is a useful tool and a good value.

As many others have said, this compressor uses more current than the average cigarette lighter socket can handle. However, with proper fusing, it works as advertised, is fairy quiet and inflates tires quickly. Unfortunately, after an estimated total of 45 minutes of intermittent use on my sedan, the pump's connecting rod bearing shaft broke away from the counterbalance and the unit is now useless. The failure occured at 32 P.S.I. while inflating a tire.

This is a great little compressor, Small enough to keep in my truck, but powerful enough to top off my tires to 65psi in just a couple minutes.

The flashlight is a bit gimicky, but it could be useful in some situations. The switch for the light is separate from the compressor switch so you don't need to turn it on unless needed.

The power cord and air line are plenty long enough to comfortably reach all 4 tires on my full size, extended cab truck (as long as I came out a door on the side I was inflating), yet short enough to be easily manageable. The air chuck screws onto the tire valve so you don't have to hold it on while inflating, and the auto-coiling air line tucks into the provided carry bag easily.

I was very impressed with both how quiet and cool it ran. Even inflating to 65psi it didn't struggle, or even warm up.

It might be a bit of overkill for passenger car tires (~32psi), but it's great for truck/SUV tires.

You know... I'm rarely disappointed by amazon, but this product does it. It's not actually the product though, it's amazon who failed...

This product is a positive battery terminal clamp... As one of the other reviews states, it won't clamp down on your battery, well, that's because there is nothing in this products description or title that states it is for a positive terminal, I guess I was wrong to assume it was for the negative terminal, and therefor it doesn't fit. I ended up spending 30 minutes weding little pieces of copper around the terminal to get it to tighten down to my negative terminal and have a good connection... What a waist of money.

Power Bright PW1100-12 Power Inverter 1100 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt AC

Power Bright PW1100-12 Power Inverter 1100 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt ACI bought this to handle several AC devices at one time and it has never let me down.

PROS:

durable construction

quiet = fan only comes on when unit gets warm after initial power up

LED display of watts being used or battery volts remaining. Very cool.

CONS:

power cables from battery clamps to unit are stiff and brittle. You can buy upgraded "ultra flexible" ones but IMHO they should ship with that.

Get this...you won't be sorry :-)

We use this inverter in a storm shelter here in West Texas. It is connected to a automotive battery. Have a Battery Tender on the battery to keep it charged. In a tornado the inverter will provide power to the shelter for TV, radio, lights and a fan. Tests of the system have been perfect. The inverter has good connections for plugging it in and for clamping it to the battery. Like the front display showing stats.

I really shouldn't complain. I mean with the cost of this thing its hard to be unhappy. The product works. I am sucking 1100w peak at startup and 880-900w @ 10.8-11v continuous. My big issue is @ 75f the inverter shuts down after 6 1/2 minutes. I thought maybe the batteries i have may be faulty, but no, they still pass load tests after shutdown. Problem is, if the inverter is used anywhere near continuous rating, it gets super hot and shuts down. I can let it cool a few minutes and it works again, but only after flipping the switch on and off. The green light comes back on and the thing stops beeping and flashing its red light but wont power the load until the unit is turned off, then back on. This will be annoying at best. I have 350Ah of battery capacity because i need to use my vacuum for 30-45 minutes, @ 80A draw. Now i will have to periodically wait for the inverter to shut down every 6-7 minutes and find something productive to do. Also, the inverter is VERY light. I knew i had a problem as soon as i took it out of the box.

So, case in point; If you need this to run high wattage load for very short periods of time it appears to be the best value inverter in this wattage range. But, if you need to use it to make money like me, it will more then likely lead to some embarrassing outbursts and wasted productivity. I will be re purposing this inverter for another project and replacing it with a commercial unit like i should have purchased in the first place. "You get what you pay for" -once again my grandmothers infinite wisdom lives on.

Nice inverter except the input power terminals are too close together.

Trying to use large cables is a bit scary in a vehicle where vibration may loosen the cable terminals.

It would be very easy for the cables to short out. I guess some shrink wrap would

work? But still an accident waiting to happen. I'm looking for ideas. A design flaw IMHO. The class T fuses are expensive even on amazon16 bucks. And a replacement fuse at a retail store would be 30 bucks. There's also the possibility

that the fuse won't blow.

I was a little worried about a converter because I've heard horror stories about them catching fire, but after having this one run for a while with no issues, no worries. i recommend this converter

Rearview Mirror DVR with Dual Swivel car Camera video recorder with 3.5'' LCD screen DVR35C2

Rearview Mirror DVR with Dual Swivel car Camera video recorder with 3.5'' LCD screen DVR35C2
  • How do you prove to the traffic police what really happened, in case a road accident occurs? No lawyer can help you more effectively than an in-car DVR does. And no DVR is more useful than this one.
  • Combining a Rearview Mirror with a powerful DVR, this product allows you to get a glimpse of what's behind you, and records the road situations both inside and outside the car, at the same time. The two cameras are both 180 degree rotatable so you can record at the best angle you want. You can also switch between single or dual camera display/record. Better yet, the two cameras even come with nightvision for you to record videos at night!
  • Installing this Rearview Mirror DVR couldn't be simpler, as it is designed to easily clip onto your pre-installed rear view mirror. It will start recording from the moment the device is turned on. You can record in two Different Modes, normal continuous recording, or cycled recording for saving data space. With this great little gadget, now everyone from general drivers, police officers, journalists, detectives, lawyers, taxi drivers can have the evidence they need that will hold up in court.

The description for this item says it can handle SD cards up to 32GB and so I was was expecting a product with plenty of recording capacity.

Well it turns out that what you actually get is something can only record up to a maximum of 5 minutes at which point it starts recording again over writing the previous recording.

Now you have an additional source of stress at an incident did my camera capture the incident and is it just about to to delete the recording?

Whilst most incidents are over in just seconds it is entirely unreasonable to market a product that has such a short recording time with no option to save old recordings in the unit itself. If it was making 5 minutes recordings until the card was full that would be OK but as it stands although you can use a 32GB card you can only ever make about about 0.5GB worth of recordings. In the heat of the moment would any of us be sufficiently alert enough to immediately check the camera and press stop before it hits the 5 minute mark or would we be focusing on the more important aspects of any incident?

Customer support were polite but failed to come back with any reply to these concerns even though I asked on 2 separate occasions and they promised to look into it.

I was going to get one of these for my partner but will now be looking elsewhere.

AAA 70 Piece Explorer Road Assistance Kit

AAA 70 Piece Explorer Road Assistance KitI got this kit from amazon because it came with a bunch of stuff I wanted to use -jumper cables, usb powered air pump, reflective triangle etc. While the kit seems comprehensive, the quality of products is very low. The usb powered air pump is completely useless, every time I've tried it, all it does it just rattle around, with no difference whatsoever to my tire pressure. While I've never had to use the reflective triangle; but it seems very unstable; and just a single one won't be any good anyways. I've since bought emergency beacons (or you could buy flares etc.), also from amazon, which use a bunch of AA batteries, are magnetic so you could stick it to the vehicle itself if you want, are much shorter in height, and way brighter and eye-catching (blinking). The only thing I've really used is the jumper cable; they don't seem very high quality; but they've always done the job. I could have used a bit longer cables though; but we've always been able to push the dead car so make it closer to the live one.

Overall, this is what I've bought over time and use -good jumper cables, emergency flares, tire pressure gauge, first aid kit (voodoo tactical is good). I no longer bother with the air pump, you can always just change the tire; and if there's something stuck in the tire, filling air only won't help. I also keep a torque wrench (80 bucks from lowe's), because it makes it trivial to change tires, and ensure the correct pressure on the lug nuts.

Btw, DO practice changing the tire in your garage. Knowing you can change the tire on your own, gives a big relief to mind when you make that big trip. From my own experiences, while road side assistance seems plentiful in the day, at night things are not the same. There're generally only one or two towing agencies working in the night per city (which means lot of calling around to figure out who'd come), and the minimum wait that you'd have to do for one to arrive would be at least 45 minutes; that is if you have cell reception in the area where you're stuck and can call. If you know how to change tire, its more like a 15 minute affair. Practicing the tire change also lets you figure out where is the jack in the car (lot of people don't know that), where to put the jack (most of the people don't know that), and how to use wrench etc. or, if you even have the wrench.. (or the owners manual for that case).

Anyways, bunch of the other stuff in the kit, I've no idea when I'd need them. There're some bandages etc, but even a basic first aid kit is better than what this kit has in terms of tackling injuries. So, this was an okay starter kit when I didn't know what to keep in the car, but now that I do know, I think its a waste of money. However, this is still better than not having anything, a good first step to safety.. so giving it 3 stars.

purchased this when my car battery died in carpool line one day and i didn't have jumper cables. while i feel better about having an emergency kit in the car at all times now, i feel i really could have spent the money on "really good" jumper cables and and put together the rest of the "kit" myself. not the best bang for the buck, but it serves it's purpose and i'm glad i have it.

Buy AAA 70 Piece Explorer Road Assistance Kit Now

I bought this as a gift for my 17 year old nephew who was a new driver (ugh) with a older type car. He was equally amazed how many useful items came within this bag. Add this with a cell phone and an 'emergency-use-only' $20 bill and you'll be able to breath alittle better when he's on the road.

Read Best Reviews of AAA 70 Piece Explorer Road Assistance Kit Here

This road assistance kit is great; comprehensive enough for my needs. I mainly bought it because it has jumper cables and a flashlight that works without batteries pretty sweet considering I probably (hopefully) won't be using it often. It has some first-aid stuff and even a poncho if you get caught in a rainstorm while changing a tire! I feel more prepared for the unexpected having this kit in my trunk.

Want AAA 70 Piece Explorer Road Assistance Kit Discount?

Am a bit disappointed by the AAA 70 Piece Explorer Road Assistance Kit. In the first place, the specific reference to 70 piece is somewhat deceptive. The kit will indeed contain 70 pieces if every single band aid, etc. is counted. There are a few major pieces such as decent jumper cables, a flimsy-looking hand charged flashlight, cheap-looking flat headand Phillips head screwdrivers (one each), etc. One could undoubtedly assemble better quality tools at a similar cost. The carrying bag is of decent quality and is luckily left with sufficient room to add one's own tools and first aid supplies (which inevitably I will. This road assistance kit is at best a decent start, but far from sufficient in even minor road assistance situations.

Picks up stations well, but occasionally the sound will decrease and increase while driving. I don't know if it's an issue with the tuner or the VZ309 stereo itself.

Harley Touring Iphone Ipod Interface Direct Connect 06-12 Harman Kardon Audio

Harley Touring Iphone Ipod Interface Direct Connect 06-12 Harman Kardon Audio
  • Works on the stock Harman Cardon Radio

Easy to install as long as you read the directions. I installed this on my 2013 Electra limited. I ran the iPod plug into the right foot glove box. The cable is the perfect length for placement in that location but is way too short for anywhere rear of the tank. Nice accessory to add at half the cost of the HD brand.

This is one of the favorite things I've bought for my bike.

It was very easy to install and works great. It allows you to plug in an IPod or IPhone and listen through the factory system. It displays on the stereo headunit and allows you to skip songs and playlists with the factory hand controls.

It costs significantly less than the Harley one and it did not require me buying the additional wiring harness that was necessary on the OEM one for my Street Glide.

I definitely reccomend this.

After finally getting it installed......it worked almost to perfection. However, when we turn the bike off, the ipod stays on and when we return, the battery is drained dead....AND it returns to the first song on the first playlist instead of picking up where it left off last. Very frustrating to manually find where you left off! Have some calls into the company purchased from and the manufacturer.

Want Harley Touring Iphone Ipod Interface Direct Connect 06-12 Harman Kardon Audio Discount?

Just installed this on my 2010 Ultra Classic Limited. Mine's loaded with GPS with the NIM module and CB. Works exactly like

Harley's Boom Audio iPod kit, but for much less. The iPod cable is long enough to mount the iPod in the tour pack. A couple

of notes on the install.

1. The connector is huge and bulky. I read articles on the HD forums about tucking it under the radio to get clearance to

mount the fairing back on. Wasn't happening for me. My 35 pin connector was full, so everything was real stiff. The design

also requires you to twist this short harness, or your bikes harness 180 degrees to clip them together. This really stiffens

things up. I did get it under the radio, but not enough I guess. If your 35 pin connector is empty, or just a few wires, you might have

better luck.

2. I used the alternate wiring method I found on the HD forum. There are 5 wires coming from the unit. Note which spaces they are in on the plug.

Cut the wires off at the splice, then splice them into the corresponding wires on the bikes 35 pin wiring harness. I soldered and

shrunk wrapped the connections. The install looks factory, and no huge connector!

Would be much better/ easier if the company could put a male end on their connector so you could just connect the two harnesses

without that connector. Overall a great product that I would recommend.

pros: has red (not charging), yellow (charging), green (charged) light that is fairly big and easy to see.

cons: the coiled cord makes placing your ipod, say on your car seat, anything over 1 foot away difficult. you need to strategically place the ipod near the car charger outlet.
