Priority Start 12-Volt-Pro-SP PriorityStart Automatic Battery Protector
Priority Start as disconnect battery only once I know of and that when car sat for an entire week.
Certainly rugged.
Recommend if you can tackle an installation job that might mean drill, cable, etc.First of all, this electric shut off device worked, but it was poorly designed. On the top of the unit is a metal contact to screw a battery post to. But when I used my fingers to tighten it the post kept turning. I tried to unscrew the battery post but it kept turning and it wouldn't come off.
I ended up using a large screw driver to lift the top metal contact up until I could pry it all the way up. Then I discovered the problem. Below the metal contact plate was a hex nut that wasn't attached to anything. It wasn't welded to the metal plate. It was merely glued down with what looked like epoxy. It is a horrible design and I'm sure everyone who buys this device will eventually fall victim to this serious design flaw, especially if they try to remove it.
I imagine it would have taken another few cents to weld the metal nut to the metal contact plate so the company choose saving a few cents over making the product competently.
I ended up leaving the metal contact pried at a 90° angle so I could tighten the battery post to it. I had to leave it in this position because I couldn't tighten the post without using a wrench to hold the hex nut.
I wrote the company and even sent them photos with ways to properly engineer this device but I never heard from them.
Since I was forced to pry their PriorityStart open I'm sure the company would use this as an excuse to void my warranty, which doesn't last long anyway. And speaking of 'warranties' the buyer has to pay for the return of the unit and THEN the company determines if the unit is bad and from the wording of their warranty information it leads me to believe they will use any reason to avoid honoring their warranty.
Obviously their product is poorly engineered when finger tightening a battery post to it will cause an epoxy-held hex nut to break free. The company obviously doesn't care if customers have to be subjected to what I had to endure. Per their warranty it's obvious they wouldn't replace a unit if the top metal plate had to be pried open just to remove their device from a car even though 100% of the problem was their fault.
Fortunately, their product does work and I can start my car but to have engineered it the way they did reveals a company that doesn't have a quality control department or doesn't care about what happens after a sale is made. After all, their warranty would discourage (intentionally?) almost anyone who tries to get a replacement or a refund.
Lastly, I'm a NASA engineer and no device at NASA would have been made as defective as this device is. I give it 2 stars because it does work but if it was designed properly I would have given it 5 stars. Btw: Any smart and ethical company would take my suggestions and redesign their product and reward a person like myself who told them how to redesign it. It would lead to more sales and more satisfied customers. You'd think a company would have that as their number one priority but sadly most companies don't give a damn about customer satisfaction and only care about making a quick buck. If this company redesigns their product using my suggestions and doesn't compensate me for it then it reveals their total lack of gratitude and appreciation. It also reveals what kind of people are manufacturing & selling this product.

i purchased this for installation on a 96 suburban. i use this vehicle as a member of the local volunteer fire department and police reserves. My hope was that this would allow me to run my emergency led lights and radio equipment on a scene without the need to leave the engine running. It works perfectly. With the fire radio on and receiving, led strobes front and rear and the headlights and hazard signals on the system shut the power down at 1hr 15min. a quick flip of the head light switch and the truck started up just fine. i was a bit concerned if it would work for this purpose but it has performed perfectly.installation can be a little tricky if you have short or tight battery cables but there is nothing "hard" about the install. i was installed in testing in less than 15min.
this product is great. i will be adding one to my daily driver as well.

Update Sept 2012 - The Battery Protector protected my batteryWife tried to open up car, no power, she opened trunk with key, that put current to the battery protector, that put battery back on line, opened car, car started, worked like a champ.
This car has a tendency to not shut off a relay, somewhere in car, the battery protector worked, money well spent.
------------------------------------------
Installed item on car, so far working as advertised.
Have not had a problem with a battery drain yet, so can not say that item has protected the battery yet.
However I am sure it will, this car likes to surprise me every now and again.
Battery on this car is in trunk, and space is limited, was able to make it fit, in my case the cable being a few inches longer would have helped, but it is OK.
Seems to be quality product.

August CR150R FM Transmitter - Wireless MP3 Player for In-Car use with SD/MMC Card Reader / USB Por
Unit does not save the last song played. Every time power is interrupted and reapplied playback starts from track 1. I had about 7GB of music to listen to and starting on track 1 every time I started the vehicle was tedious.
Starting on track 1 wouldn't be so bad if random worked but the random function does not work as expected, most of the time I couldn't tell a difference between the "Random" and the "Play All" setting
The unit supports amplification of the source being sent through the FM transmitter but I found that the transmission was too weak to provide a loud enough FM signal..I had to turn the volume up on my car stereo to half way or more on some of the tracks where normally I never use 1/4 volume for direct line-in type sources.
I tried multiple FM frequencies and it still was not as good as a line in cable or another standalone FM transmitter I've used with the same vehicle in the past.I was initially impressed with the August CR150 Car MP3 Player & FM Transmitter with Card Reader but as time went on became less so. Mainly due to its lack of features. It is not easy to read the display for one thing. And if power is disrupted due to hitting a pothole you have to start from the beginning of the track again. Very annoying when you're listening to an e-book or a lecture. What would be nice is for it to remember where it left off when power is disrupted. A larger display would be nice as well. But it does perform well wrt sending a signal to your radio. Overall, given the price, it serves its purpose pretty well. Just don't hit any potholes while driving.I thought it would have been a device that I could also play music from other devices, such a my phone! Didn't work and the sound quality was poor!

INNOVA 3020 Diagnostic Code Reader for OBDII Vehicles
Buy INNOVA 3020 Diagnostic Code Reader for OBDII Vehicles Now
So many of the 'codes' are either minor or 'transient' (they went wrong once, but they've self corrected) that the mechanics are getting lots of money for doing nothing but reading what their code readers will tell YOU. The Ford dealership told me it'd take a minimum of $120 to give me an answer! The AutoZone guy told me that, in CA, they can't offer their code reading service for free any more, so they've discontinued it altogether (CA state law that caters to the greed of the mechanics as of Jan.). So I researched it carefully and bought one. It diagnosed my truck instantly, and my Chrysler 300C in minutes! I'm a happy guy with about $200 more in his pocket. (Both error codes turned out to be minimal)Read Best Reviews of INNOVA 3020 Diagnostic Code Reader for OBDII Vehicles Here

Great value. Simple to use. Great peace of mind to know exactly why the check engine light is on and decide if you want to attempt the repair or schedule a time to take it in for service. I highly recommened you purchase a unit that can clear the check engine light (such as this unit).Thursday, December 12, 2013
Garmin GA26 Remote Vehicle Antenna for StreetPilot II+ and III+

Buy Garmin GA26 Remote Vehicle Antenna for StreetPilot II+ and III+ Now
I had my Garmin III GPS (talking street pilot) mounted on the dash of my Expedition and with its attached antenna I rarely could get (and then frequently would drop) enough satellites to give a good fix. After installing the external unit (10 minutes, no drilling!), I always had a good signal and never dropped it. Without this, the GPS is less than reliable inside your vehicle.Read Best Reviews of Garmin GA26 Remote Vehicle Antenna for StreetPilot II+ and III+ Here
The external antenna is essential for vehicle use. It allows the GPS to acquire more satellites faster and boosts the accuracy and reception in a huge way. It comes with a magnetic mounting, a suction cup mounting, and a screw-on mounting. It's a must have for any serious GPS user.Want Garmin GA26 Remote Vehicle Antenna for StreetPilot II+ and III+ Discount?
I purchased this accessory for My Garmin 376C to use in a RV to drive from California to Minnesota. The RV has a sleeping section over the cab and thus the sky is not visible from the dash. I mounted the remote antenna using the suction cup mount in the upper window over the cab and it worked great for the nearly 2000 mile trip. It also works great on flights to keep track of your location. I ordered it on a Thursday from Amazon and received it on Friday morning for a Saturday morning flight to California. Highly recommended!Wednesday, November 13, 2013

It's small and slim. So is the battery. Battery life is about 10min, so I always have to plug it in. The maps are from 2004, so many new roads and changes don't show. Cannot upgrade the maps. After you use it 2 or 3 times then it deadlocks and need a hard reset, so the included stylus is useful. If you see this gps, I would turn my head the other way and start walking.Read Best Reviews of Nextar SNAP3 3.5-Inch Super Slim Portable GPS Navigator with Bluetooth Here
Ok, so I read a few of the other reviews and was shocked. I love this little GPS, when I am not using it to get somewhere I can use it as an MP3 player, bluetooth in car for phone, and place to store photos. It has so many functions. The only problem I have run across is that my maps are dated 2007 and I need to update it, but you can search online and easily do this yourself.Tuesday, October 15, 2013

Unit failed out-of-the-box: Several inserts in the box state that unit must be charged for 72 hours before using. Pushed battery test button, meter read Full Charge suggesting a good unit. As directed we immediately attached AC power cord to unit/wall outlet and charged unit for 72 hours plus. Green LED indicator was on indicating a "full Charg". Disconnected AC, Battery Test Meter indicated Full Charge. Stored unit in vehicle, one day later, by chance, pushed Battery Test Button and meter read "0". Battery in static condition would not hold charge. Returned to Amazon for credit.Read Best Reviews of PowerStation PS5000R Jump Start with LED Work Light and Compressor Here

I used this to replace the backup battery of my alarm system. My alarm system company wanted $70 for a service visit plus $40 for the battery. This battery is the same brand that they use and is as easy to change as the AA battery in your typical flashlight. It charged quickly and has worked perfectly since installation. As for those who are reporting problems with other sellers, I ordered mine from a company called Cream City Hobbies and the battery was Interstate, exactly as described. I no longer see them listed as an Amazon seller and cant vouch for the other sellers listed.Read Best Reviews of Interstate Batteries 12V 7.2Ah Sealed Batter IBSBSL1075 Here

NPower Powerpack Emergency Power Source with Air Compressor - 500 Amps, 400 Watts
Buy NPower Powerpack Emergency Power Source with Air Compressor - 500 Amps, 400 Watts Now
Seems to be identical to the Cobra brand unit. Blue plastic instead of yellow and at a higher price. Worth considering which one to purchase.I went and bought this powerpack for my father, seeing as though it would be a reliable product.( my sister's car would occasionally need a jump start along with the compressor and usb charger) we bought it in July, only fully charged it once. It was still nearly full but then Hurricane Sandy starts up. We use up all the battery for powering whatever was crucial. Here's the kicker, tried to charge it again once power was restored. left it plugged in for about 6 hours. still reading empty. We went over to the ac adapter. it's uncomfortably warm to the touch and that's never good. tried another couple of hours, still nothing. Extremely dissapointed.Want NPower Powerpack Emergency Power Source with Air Compressor - 500 Amps, 400 Watts Discount?
I originally purchased this for camping and emergency power. While I haven't used it for an emergency yet, I have used it for a weekend camping trip. We were able to charge our cell phones, and laptop (to watch some movies at night), and recently used it to jump start my 4 wheeler. Very well made, the battery is a little small but much bigger would have made it to bulky and heavy to move around. All in all I would recommend this booster/generator to anyone who requires a portable power source simply excellent when camping.I also wanted to mention that the battery is easily replaced in this unit.
