Rando HD Mini Car DVR Video Camera Recorder 2-inch LCD w/ HDMI Cable built-in Microphone

Rando HD Mini Car DVR Video Camera Recorder 2-inch LCD w/ HDMI Cable built-in MicrophoneJust recieved the camera today. There are 3 resolutions, 1080p, 720p and native(i think thats what its called) i took videos on all 3 but i cant really tell the difference.

Took it for a stroll during the day. I think the reflection of my radar detector & car made most of everything out of focus, i will need to retest this again and hopefully, it would be clearer.

The so called "Night Mode" is BS. They just added 2 super bright LEDs and it doesnt really do much of anything. On well lite roads, it records pretty well, but on dark roads, u can only see what ur headlights are shining, its not bad though. Wide Angle? It doesnt look to wide to me.

As for most ppl ask, i actually saw license plates better at night than day. Need to be at least 1-2 car lengths to read the plates clearly though. Not sure if theres a way to make it clearer.

watching it on screen also shows this pixalated video, but im watching it no a 27" monitor was i cant blame the camera.

Overall, i like it, though i think my iPhone4 with the same megapixel can probably record a lot better...

I received a package with the camera very quickly in less than a week.

For comparison, a colleague of mine got the same camera from another seller about a month.

For its price the camera is very good clear images during day, and night is quite acceptable.

At the highest resolution of the video is approximately 95mb/min.

Mounting the camera on the windshield is very reliable.

The only negative the complexity of placing the camera behind the rearview mirror on a jeep.

PS. Jelly watch to trash!

Buy Rando HD Mini Car DVR Video Camera Recorder 2-inch LCD w/ HDMI Cable built-in Microphone Now

I bought this camera to keep me covered legal wise while I was on the job driving. It works fine but it doesnt want to stay on. Out of no where, it will turn itself off for no reason. It also freezes up and stops recording for no reason. That results in me having to constantly take my eyes off the road and make sure it is still recording. This is a cheap product. I suggest spending a little more money and buying something more reliable.

The camera worked for about two days then the micro video card stopped working so I got another video card and the same thing happened. For some reason the cards will not work at all now. I had to return the camera. Camera was returned and money was refunded.

This car cam works great, even after it slipped from my hand and dove straight into my large cup of orange juice I had in the car. After a good drying off in front of a space heater, I'm completely amazed it still works, 2 months later. Initially it took about a month before it arrived in the mail (coming from Hong Kong) and required a signature, which were not ideal, but I'm thrilled with the product. The camera records in 2-minute segments and saves them as separate files. An 8GB mini SD card (separate purchase) holds about 7 hours' worth of driving, then the camera starts overwriting what's there until it says it's full. You don't want to get stuck with a long commute and a full card, so just buy 2 of them. Also, the cards get lost easily because they're so tiny. I've already captured several near-miss roadway incidents, which are exciting to watch later on.

Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Charger Set

Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Charger Set
  • This kit includes
  • 1 LiPo charger (13,5V/0.9A Output)
  • 4 power plug adapters (for the US, UK, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Japan).

Hey, it's a battery charger. What more can I say. It would of been nice if the AR Drone battery was able to charge on this charger.

Buy Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Charger Set Now

The charger does charge as advertised but I was a little disappointed with the performance. I have used many LiPo chargers and got the feeling it should be a little quicker. I put my amp meter on the charge line and found that even thought its rated at 1 Amp (the recommended current to charge a stock AR.Drone battery) it was a little shy and sometimes dips quite low at about 700mA during the charging process. In the end it does charge as advertised but not the fastest.

That being said I use one of these and found it charges in under an hour, worth a consideration ... note this charger comes with battery clips so you can open the hood of your car and charge from your car battery on location:

Wagan 2402 200W Smart AC USB Inverter

Wagan 2402 200W Smart AC USB InverterThis inverter is compact and does exactly what it is intended to do. The USB slot is a nice feature. I have used it on 8+ hour roadtrips powering cell phones, laptops, DVD players and other items. Never a problem.

Very nice, I use it in my SUV, then hook my notebook up to it, runs a little hot but not too bad, I also charge my cell phone off it, small, and has an on/off switch with a green power light, I like it.

Buy Wagan 2402 200W Smart AC USB Inverter Now

I don't really see how you could get a better product. I took it cross country MA to CA and back, it worked like a charm always for all my charging needs. The USB is really handy for cell phones leaving two ports open for larger plugs like laptops or cameras.

We went through two of the Wagan EL2402s. The first arrived and a piece of solder fell out of one of the vents. May have been extraneous, but better to be safe than sorry, Amazon was great and overnighted a replacement. At best I can only give mixed reviews. The is supposed to be able to handle 200 Watts with a peak of 500 Watts.. Fairly substantial in print. In reality, things like battery chargers, cell phone chargers, etc., all seemed to be fine. Where the problems began were on more "specific" devices. We wanted the device for my wife to run a 35 Watt Chi hair straightener. It would not even turn on. The description says power tools, so I thought I'd given a try to a couple. First a sabre saw, again well under peak and normal wattage to be handled. Nothing, a blip when I pulled the trigger, then nothing. A Dewalt hand drill... well kinda sorta.. If you started out VERY slowly on revolutions and worked your way up, you could get to full speed. I didn't try that under a load, but I assume it would work to a point.

I called Wagan, and they assumed some of the failures cames from the fact that AC devices are used to and built for a sine wave output. The Wagan (and I assume some others) don't produce the exact same sine wave (calling it a modified sine wave). So, your own mileage may vary. Some Notebook AC Chargers may be more sensitive than others, so you probably can't be sure. Again, I don't know that Wattage alone is the delimiting factor. It may that your particular device just won't work.

My advice, read the reviews.. If you have a particular device or devices you are thinking about running, perhaps check with the manufacturers of these different inverters. Remember electronics are pretty sensitive devices when it comes to power. While I may be willing to try a Chi hair straightener, I may not be as comfortable with a notebook.. Best bet there is to see if your manufacturer has a DC supply (Car/Airplane) adapter.

Want Wagan 2402 200W Smart AC USB Inverter Discount?

I have an Odyssey deep cycle battery in my car. I ran my power hungry Dell desktop replacement laptop off this charger for 2 weeks, no problems. The laptop has a 90W power brick. I also ran the 90W laptop power brick + a 50W external laptop battery charger at the same time. If your car's wiring is protected by a 20A fuse, then 200W continuous is the most you're going to safely pull through your cigar lighter. I picked this unit because it's 200W continuous. Many of the other available "200W" products are just full of marketing slime and don't give 200W continuous, they give 200W peak power for a few minutes and can only handle ~150W continuous. Small annoyances: the user manual claims it has an airplane plug adapter but it doesn't, and the plug is so long that it's not the best fit for my car's cigar lighter. I have to carefully align the flexible springs on the plug to get it to stay in, but if so aligned they do stay in.

Update July 2012. The unit gave me no problems for 2 years. Then I plugged an ungrounded 2-prong Dekcell universal battery charger with a laptop battery attached to it, and the unit fried. I had used that same Dekcell charger with the unit before, but I hadn't done it for 2 years. I don't know what happened. Maybe has to do with the order in which you plug things in. The unit has a perfectly good 20A fuse inside it, that didn't blow. What's the point of a fuse if it won't protect the unit from trouble? Which direction was that fuse supposed to protect from, I wonder?

So, since it died, I can't rate it as more than average. I'm shopping for something else. One thing positive I will say for the Wagan, it's quiet. Lots of units I'm finding in retail stores have noisy fans. I can't stand that and keep returning them.

Fonus Universal Car Mount Holder with Dual USB Charger and Charging Socket for Samsung Conquer 4G,

Fonus Universal Car Mount Holder with Dual USB Charger and Charging Socket for Samsung Conquer 4G, Galaxy S Aviator, Galaxy Prevail, Galaxy Note, Trender, Repp, Brightside, Gem SCH-i100, Focus i917, Admire Red, Galaxy Indulge R910I bought this to use in my '07 VW GTI it doesn't sit well in charger which is actually completely vertical like the image (which is why I bought it) I'd be very hesitant to buy one for my BMW which has a more horizontal lighter. The arm is nice and stiff and doesn't move, even with my heavy phone. The USB plugs are VERY nice and I like that you can add more adapters to it.

Buy this if you have a good way to secure it otherwise pass.

Yaesu VX-3R VHF/UHF DualBand Handheld Amateur HAM Radio Tranceiver!

Yaesu VX-3R VHF/UHF DualBand Handheld Amateur HAM Radio Tranceiver!I am new to HAM but wanted to see what this little guy could do, and not spend a ton of money.

With all hand held radios the problem is the small antenna. I can get ok reception but I live out in the sticks. I hooked up a roll up Jpole and wow. I cant wait to hook it up to a bigger antenna. You can have 100's memory set ups, several ways to scan. Like I said I am new and was a bit worried about all the different settings etc the book tells you step by step. I dont know how to do everything that this guy can do but you will pick up the regular settings easy enough. So far I have picked everything from police bands, EMS, Wendy's drive up, voice of america, voice of cuba, voices of I cant speak it, HAM chat, about 6 weather chans, regular AM/FM. I got all this from the regular antenna and the roll up J pole. This was in just a few days of messing around.

It is easy to travel with this. Throw it in the car, back pack, just a pocket. You can also order an AA battery pack so its easy to power it up if away from a charger.

Only thing not great are the small buttons, thats not a biggie since this thing is just bigger than a pager.

Don't get me wrong. This is an awesome Ham Radio Transmitter for the size and price. Any radio that can open a repeater 30 miles away on only half a watt has got to be something special.

The problem I have with this radio is it's reception outside of the Amatuer Bands. To put it bluntly, it sucks. It is EXTREMELY susceptible to static, reception range is extremely weak, and you can barely understand the voice carrier wave for all the static.

As A Ham Transmitter, I give it Five Stars. as a reciver, I give it a Raspberry.

UPDATE: SEPT.18th, 2011: Apparently, my apartment has a lot of RFI. I took the rig outdoors, and it opened right up. Reception on the Aircraft Band is absolutely Fantastic! I snagged at least 30 diffrent ATC Frequencies in Scan Mode, some as far away as Las Vegas and Pheonix! Based on this, I'm changing my Reciver Rating to Five Stars. Outdoors, this is one awesome little Reciver. Just do not expect the same results indoors.

Buy Yaesu VX-3R VHF/UHF DualBand Handheld Amateur HAM Radio Tranceiver! Now

I owned this radio for only a couple of weeks. It has a wide band amplifier that is very susceptible to nearby transmitters. The police were coming in stronger than the frequency I was tuned to. It was a common problem whenever I was within a few miles of a tv or fm transmitter. If you're out in the boonies you may not have this problem, but near a city you may find your signal to noise ratio to be less than 1 a lot of the time. Not for me. I replaced it with an FT60, which works fine.

I am a new ham and wanted a small affordable H/T eto begin with. The AM / FM broadcast bands come in clear as well as the local WX bands. I just passed my Tech test and am eagerly awaiting my call sign so that I can test the TX and RX features. Will updat when I have a chance to do this. 4 stars so far for what I can use.

I got this Terminal for it's top post mount. The space between my battery and fuse block is tight, with this terminal I was able to get power to my amp with out having to remove my battery from its tray. It has different inputs so you can safely add what you need to get power to your equipment. I will recommend this to anyone want to add an amp or other device that requires heavy cable for power.

Want DB LINK BTP2 Positive Battery Terminal Discount?

This one went on ok but the negative terminal is too loose on the post even with the screw all the way in and torqued beyond belief. Their engineers obviously aren't being drug tested. Also the positive terminal has no insulating cover like many other brands do. Always a nice thing having all that exposed metal with a direct line to the positive side of your battery just sitting there waiting to weld itself to your hood or something.

High Grade HTC Evo 4G LTE Robust 360° Adjustable Seat Bolt Car Mount Vehicle Handsfree Holder

High Grade HTC Evo 4G LTE Robust 360° Adjustable Seat Bolt Car Mount Vehicle Handsfree HolderThis item is not flimsy in any way. It is very stiff and sturdy. My HTC evo 4g lte is about as big as a phone you can put in it. Smaller phones will fit a little better. Shipping took about 1 week.

The bottom 'fingers' are spring loaded for a secure fit. I'm a little concerned that the 'fingers' seem flimsy, but so far so good. Installation on the passenger front seat bolt was a piece of cake and took under five minutes. I highly recommend and plan on buying a second one for my wife.

Motorola Installed Handsfree Car Kit

Motorola Installed Handsfree Car KitI've installed two of these kits with no problems. While the instructions are "sketchy", they do have what you need to know in the two pages for your given language. Installation time varies with the vehicle, access under-dash, skill of the installer, but is pretty much "easy". The product itself works well and does what it is supposed to do...free you from headsets while driving and provide good quality sound in both directions.

Exide 75DTORB Orbital Sealed VRLA AGM Automotive Battery

Exide 75DTORB Orbital Sealed VRLA AGM Automotive BatteryI am very happy with this battery. My old battery in the van died and so I bought this one. The van starts right up and it appears to work well. I would buy again.

I bought this AGM battery because I got tired of my old battery and its acid leaks. I was lucky to be able to fix the acid leaks a little early so no real damage was done to my car. This battery is not an exact fit though. I had to use it without the plastic battery tray because the positive cable was too short and would not reach with the tray in place. So the battery is installed but there is tension on the + cable and it sits a little crooked in the engine bay.

Schumacher SE-70MA Fully Automatic Deep-Cycle Charger

Schumacher SE-70MA Fully Automatic Deep-Cycle ChargerFirst of all, a high quality 24V air-cooled charger like this is approx $132+ without S&H. I have Schumacher Chargers and they all operate very well for the price. The weak point on these chargers is "whimpie" wiring that is usually the cause of problems or alleged failures of the unit. If you are not "technically inclined" and have problems, ask a friend or acquaintance who can check the unit. The most common flaw, in my experience, is the connection near the alligator clips, since this area gets the most movement. A continuity check of the wiring can usually locate the fault. Also, since this unit does not have an on/off switch, I simply plug it into a power strip equipped with an on/off switch. A simple fix can save unnecessary replacement of a good unit. In my experience, Schumacher provides a cost effective product considering the price and the service.

It works as advertised. Would be more convenient to use if it had an ON-OFF switch. As it is, On and Off are accomplished by plugging it in and unplugging it.

I have only used this charger a couple of times but so far, so good. I like the fact that you can set it on automatic and forget about it. I would have given it 5 stars if there was an off switch. Would be nicer than having to unplug it, which in time will probably damage the cord. Also, after I purchased it, a mechanical engineer told me that my batteries would last longer and would both get an equal charge by charging them on the 12 volt mode sepeately rather than connecting the charger in series to both batteries and charging them on the 24 volt setting. If that is true, I didn't need a 24 volt charger because I couldn't find a 24 volt baffery, only 2 12 volt batteries connected in series. I still like the unit, thus far.

Car and Home 2 in 1 Combo Charger for the Cradlepoint PHS 300 - uses Gomadic TipExchange Technology

Car and Home 2 in 1 Combo Charger for the Cradlepoint PHS 300 - uses Gomadic TipExchange TechnologyGomadic Combo Charger with "TipExchange Technology" overheats and blinks after a few minutes of use, then the Cradlepoint PHS300 shuts off. The charger does not turn off when it overheats. I do not recommend leaving the thing plugged in unattended if you are already an unfortunate buyer. For me it worked for a few days of limited use while connected to AC power. Didn't use it often enough to realize it was defective from the git go. Total waste of $27. It cost almost as much as the Cradlepoint, too! I would not dare to try the GoMadic power adaptor in my car. Cradlepoint PHS300 works fine with original power adaptor it came with, so I know the router is good. This is my first bad experience with buying on Amazon. The return policy on the device has expired so I'm stuck with it.

I ordered 3 of these and all 3 died after a few weeks use. I asked for a replacement and the company said sure, glad to help. That was months ago and no replacement. Save your money, these things are junk!

The problem is that if I use it when I am using the WiFi ( not just to charge it) it gets hot. The plastic on one side is shiny and deformed.

I realized it because I could smell it.

If I shut off the WiFi and just charge the Cradlepoint, it is fine.

If ANYONE OF YOU READING this review want to buy this product from Gomadic Corp DONT!!!!! unless you really want it for 1-2 weeks and don't really care for your benjamins. 1-2 is the maximum life of this product. I also bought a car-travel charger once I figured that the battery life of this product doesn't last very long. New BLUEANTWIRELESS BlueAnt Supertooth Buddy Bluetooth Handsfree Speakerphone Car Kit High Quality

New BLUEANTWIRELESS BlueAnt Supertooth Buddy Bluetooth Handsfree Speakerphone Car Kit High Quality
  • Quick clip-on for sun visor
  • Hands-free solution can pair to 2 phones simultaneously
  • Last call redial, reject incoming call
  • Rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery
  • Voice recognition dialling (if phone supports)

This is the second blue tooth device i've owned. It works fine with my iphone...connection is good with clear sound quality. The only improvement it needs is better lighting on the device exterior. The various icons and button markers on the black colored unit need to be illuminated as the little "buddy" disappers on your car visor at night. If the "LED-LIGHTING" issue doesn't bother you, than this supertooth device will be a good "buddy" to you. Did I forget to mention the nice low price?

Long term report with this product and I am very happy. It has just 5 buttons; power, volume up, down, pairing and answer/hang-up. Big icons are hard to miss and answer/hang-up button is away from the others so there is no fat-fingering the power button. It has a strong visor clip that is held to the device by a magnet so the device can be removed for charging. It has a rechargeable internal battery, so it is environmently-friendly. The only downside is when the battery goes dead you can't charge it on the clip, because the charge connector is on the back side of the unit.

I will never go back to an earpiece again.

Long battery life

Want New BLUEANTWIRELESS BlueAnt Supertooth Buddy Bluetooth Handsfree Speakerphone Car Kit High Quality Discount?

Purchased 2 of the Buudy Supertooth Hands free devices. ! for my vehicle and 1 for my wife. They work very well. Are clear and transmit clearly. Easy to operate and almost completely avoid distraction. The only problem we have is our cell phones need to be manually connected every time the bluetooth is activated. Would highly recommend this for everyone, especially in states that require hands free cell phones.

Reviewed many auto Bluetooth (BT) devices on websites and on Consumer Reports. BlueAnt was rated in the top 2 on each site because of send and receive sound quality. I would totally agree!!! Sound is clear on both ends at all levels and the receive volume can be turned up quite loud. It has some great features AND has better sound than my luxury auto.

Why purchased: for my wife and son that never answers their phone while driving.

Likes: Sound quality, volume, no feedback on receiving end, allows 2 phone connection, connects automatically when in range of the car, which is my only dislike. Also, this device is MUCH cheaper than other auto handsfree devices.

Dislikes: BT range is excellent. With car in the garage and when my wife is anywhere in the house she gets frustrated when she makes or receives a call because the BlueAnt connects the call just remember to turn off your phone's BT or the BlueAnt when you're at home

Because of everything mentioned above the product makes an EXCELLENT gift! I see myself purchasing many more for family.

Black & Decker ASI500 12-Volt Cordless Air Station Inflator

Black & Decker ASI500 12-Volt Cordless Air Station InflatorThis compressor/inflator is very attractive. It is also lightweight and all the accessories with the exception of the charger store right on the unit.

I have owned compressors and I have owned high volume inflators. However, I have not owned a unit that includes both functions, and none of my units have ever been cordless.

Mounted on the front of the unit are three connectors for inflatables and balls. The high volume hose has a large connector and there is also a high volume adapter for pushing in the internal flap of some inflatables. On the front is an LED light for working in the dark.

The digital dial is bright and easy to read both in daylight and at night, and it has a sleep mode to save battery life.

Right out of the box, I see nothing but perks.

THE OPERATION

Operating the pump was not intuitive. First, I hooked up the pump to the tire and pushed the power button. That is the logical thing to do, and all my previous compressors have worked that way. Nothing happened.

I read the manual and it said first, I need to press the button to choose the compressor function or high volume function. Then, I need to press the "+" or "-" button until the pressure reading flashed "0," and then press the "+" or "-" button until the pressure reading was what I want.

It was a task to have to keep pushing the "+" button down repeatedly, especially when I need to go from "0" to "80." There was no way to advance the reading by using continuous pressure. It was just push-push-push. Then and only then do I push the power button to start the inflation. Once the desired pressure is reached, the power turns off automatically.

The operation is not difficult once I learned the steps, but it is not intuitive. I recommend storing the manual and the compressor together for others to reference, just in case.

BATTERY LIFE AND CAR ADAPTER

For the first run, I charged the battery as instructed for five hours. With that charge, I was able to inflate 1 truck tire, 4 minivan tires, and 4 children's bike tires over the course of three days before the battery died. (Note that none of these were inflated from a fully deflated state.)

Afterwards, I tried using the car adapter. The cord is conveniently wrapped to the bottom of the unit. It was long enough to reach to the back tires of my minivan.

I tried running the unit of off the charger plugged into the outlet, but the unit would not run. If I am not near my car and the unit is out of batteries, I am out of luck.

HIGH PRESSURE

The manual states that for pressures above 100 PSI, the compressor must not be operated for longer than 10 minutes at a time and with 20 minute breaks between usage. I did not find the maximum capacity listed in the manual or on the box.

I did test the unit up to 84 PSI and it functions well. The only problem is it's difficult sometimes to unhook the nozzle from the valve, so I have air escaping. So much air escapes that when I inflate to 84 PSI, by the time the nozzle is unhooked, there is only about 78 PSI left in the tires. To get 36 PSI in my minivan tires, I need to inflate to 38 PSI. The workaround is to over inflate the tires.

The compressor can be used as a pressure gauge. Just hook up the nozzle and the pressure reads on the digital dial.

HIGH VOLUME

I inflated some of my children's inflatables and found high volume inflation to be quick. The inflator also will deflate the toys.

One thing to note is the auto-off feature will not work with the high volume inflation. There is no pressure gauge function when high volume inflation is selected.

LED LIGHT

This is a simple yet useful feature. It is bright enough to help when working in the dark. Its operation, like other functions of this compressor/inflator, is not intuitive. There is no on/off button. I must first select the compressor or high volume mode and then press the power button and then the "+" or "-" button twice.

PROS:

+ convenience of compressor and high volume inflator in one unit

+ cordless

+ has a car adapter with a long cord

+ auto shut-off compressor

+ 4 nozzle adapters included

+ will deflate inflatables

+ LED light

+ easy to read dial

+ unit has a sleep mode

+ can be used as a pressure gauge

CONS:

unintuitive operation

will not operate off of wall outlet

automatic shut-off does not function with high volume setting

short battery life

must overinflate due to loss of pressure when disconnecting nozzle from tire

SUMMARY

This is a great unit. It looks beautiful and performs well. I did not find it any louder than the other compressors I have owned. The only problem is the (lack of) ease of use. The elderly may be easily confused by it -or any young person without a manual for that matter. If you don't mind reading manuals, this unit is wonderful.

UPDATE: Due to a comment on my review, I went back to retry the air station pressure setting. I was incorrect in one of my initial observations. The pressure settings can indeed be set by pressing and holding the "+" or "-" buttons and I do not need to press-press-press my way up to 36 pounds.

UPDATE 3/23/11: Died. Simply won't work anymore. It's been charged, plugged in to the car accessory port, and the thing simply will not turn on. The digital readout just blinks. Very frustrating. So I guess the lesson here is: don't buy! Changed my 3-star review to 1-star to reflect the failure.

Original review 2/2010: For whatever reason, I have amassed several portable air pumps over the years, apparently attempting to get the "best" one. I've decided there simply isn't one. This one is close, but suffers the same problem my other battery-operated pump had: it HAS to be charged for it to work, and for it to be charged, it must be plugged into a wall socket for a number of hours. Adding to this is that the unit comes with a cigarette-adapter plug, which aids in powering the unit while running the unit (the other battery-operated unit need this too.) To fill all four car tires, it's pretty much a necessity to make use of the adapter.

Operation is confused a bit as one must first determine the end pressure, with the unit not connected to whatever you are filling. First you must flip the switch on the right portion of the "U" shape of the unit, push to the right for low pressure items like tires or to the left for high pressure items like soccer balls, etc. Middle is off. Under the digital display in the middle are three buttons, the center one to turn the compressor on, the right one to advance the pressure and the left one to decrease the pressure. I found that once the pressure had been started with either button, holding it down would allow for rapid advancement, making high numbers much faster and easier to reach than pressing the button many times. Once reached, simply let it set a moment, then attach the hose. Only *then* do you hit the power button and it will fill by itself. It seems complicated, but once you've done it a couple times, it's not so bad. (Pro-tip: in dark situations, press one of the pressure buttons and an LED at the front will light up the area a few feet in front of the unit. Handy!)

The unit's biggest downside has been disconnecting the nozzle from tires. I don't know if it's my tires in particular, but the nozzle holds onto the valve stems with a death-grip. It should be simple, just flip the lock up and pull back, but what really happens is you pull the lock up and psssssssshhhhh you've just lost 2-3 pounds of air while fighting with the nozzle. I physically have to brace myself, preparing to flip the lock and pull with all my might to get it off the stem as quickly as possible. Most of the time I find I have to refill my tires a couple of times before I get it off the stem properly. Frustrating, to the say the least.

The digital readout is excellent. The preset pressure is a great way to ensure you get exactly what you want in whatever you're filling. The battery issue is annoying, but livable many other units are just like this. The valve stem problem is just that, however, and it might be a deal breaker if I can't get it worked out. It's really too bad because I like the pump in general.

Buy Black & Decker ASI500 12-Volt Cordless Air Station Inflator Now

I have been using Black & Deckers ASI300 Air Station for over a year and can safely say that the ASI500 is a much better product. The one marked area of improvement is that the ASI500 is cordless. No more need to drag an extension cord around the car. After reading through the manual, and using the ASI500's digital pressure gage, I checked the tire pressure on one tire. After some trial and error, I was able to go through setting the recommended shut off pressure on the digital gage and inflated our van's tires. I was able to test the claim Black & Decker make about being able to fill four tires on one charge. Without charging, and using only the out of the box factory charge, this was accomplish leaving very little power to spare. I'm guessing that after a full charge the claim would be easily achieved. The ASI500 air station is very compact and easy to carry around. It has all the accessories for car, truck, bicycle, air mattress and all the sports balls. The unit comes with a charger as well as an attached 10 foot cord with 12 volt plug in adapter. All the accessories are nicely fitted on the unit for ease of use. One very nice feature is the small yet powerful light on the front of the unit that makes for easy night tire checking and inflating. This would make a great gift for anyone to add to the trunk of their car for road side emergencies. There are a few things to keep in mind with the ASI500. The first is that the air hose adapter is made of hard plastic and could break if forced. The second thing is the need to have a separate air pressure gage to check the tire pressure after inflating. I found that the AI500 was around 2 psi over the setting and I needed to release some of the air out of the tires. However these are quite minor issues. It took me around 15 to 20 minutes to fill all four tires to their proper psi. This was a bit faster than my old ASI300. With gas stations charging around a dollar for air, this is highly recommended for the home garage and those camping, biking, or vacation trips.

Got my product today, read the instructions, charged it up, unplugged it, and turned it on. LCD displayed ERR. Went to B&D website for support, it told me that division was sold to Baccus Global.. went to their website, only units with jumper cables are listed.. not this unit or anything close to this unit.

So, I called Black and Decker. They first asked if I turned it on when it was plugged in. I don't think I did, but it would be a rather simple mistake. She acted like I might have killed with such a simple action. I said 'no'. She said that it can't be fixed and I had to take to the local authorized service center for a replacement. That service center was 25 miles out of my way. I called the service center, they told me they would replace my hours old product with a refurb.. and by they way, they don't stock them so it may take 4-8 weeks.

I fiddled with the compressor and re-read both the paper instructions and the instructions at blackanddecker.com. Note: they were different (whatever that means). The on-line version indicates you can inflate a tire without setting a max pressure whereas the printed manual didn't.

Regardless, I actually managed to get a non 'ERR' screen, and actually managed to get it in PSI instead of KpA. I inflated exactly one motorcycle tire, and it worked flawlessly. However, the battery, which did charge for 4-5 hours, was flashing that it was nearly dead after only one motorcycle tire.

I plugged it in (making sure the unit was turned off first so I didn't destroy it) and walked away. Unplugged it, turned it on to see how it was, etc. I got the infamous 'ERR' on the screen. I turned it off and on several times until finally I did not get the 'ERR' display. Cool... that's not that bad. A little inconvenient, but hey, I can turn it off an on 10 times. I hooked it up to a tire to get a reading and it read something like 700 KpA I Don't deal with metric KpA, so I tried to switch to PSI. No luck. I followed the instructions to the letter and hit the + and keys at the same time. I tried hitting them many times, holding them down for a while.... no luck. Seems stuck in KPA forever.

I disconnected from the tire. Turned the unit off, walked away for a while. Unit is charged up, not plugged in, and not connected to a tire at this point. Turn it back on, and it is taking a pressure reading of my garage of 770 KpA.

Bottom line: This unit seems flaky (at best), and I'm at my wits end. There is a 1 year warranty on the product from B&D, but I have decided to return the product and go with a simpler battery inflator with less bells and whistles. I'd hate to think that if I hit the off/on button (not the compressor run button) while plugged in that I might freak this unit out. I just get the feeling that if I got a new unit, and it worked perfectly, that it would flake out after 13 months.

Thanks to Amazon for treating customers better than the manufacturers do. I have purchased hundreds of items at Amazon, and I believe this is my first return. After dealing with B&D, I don't know if I'll ever buy a B&D product again.

One more thing: If the air hose was 6 inches longer (like my old inflator), it would be much more useable (if you get one that's not flaky). To get to a motorcycle tire over exhaust pipes, I had to hold the inflator in the air as the cord would not allow the unit to sit on the ground.

Sorry for such a long and 'sob story' review. This has got to be my longest review yet.

I really love this air inflator/high volume pump. It's cordless and very powerful.

It can be used to inflate pretty much anything including automobile tires, bike tires, beach balls, rafts and so much more. I own another air inflator that you have to plug into the cigarette adapter in your car and it's a pain and it doesn't have the power to inflate automobile tires unlike this air inflator. This air inflator has plenty of power. It quickly inflated my car tires to 35 PSI and the manual claims that it has the ability to inflate up to 100 PSI, which is much more pressure than I will ever need to utilize.

The air inflator will take about 4 hours to fully charge the first time but then it's so convenient to carry around and not worry about pesky wires. The power cord has a light on it that will be red while charging and will turn green once fully charged. It also has sleep mode that it will go into if it's not used within two minutes. This helps to preserve the life of the rechargeable battery. It also has a built-in 12-volt vehicle charging cord that plugs into the cigarette adapter in your automobile. This allows you to recharge the battery while on the road. There is a blue LCD panel on the top of the inflator. First you set the desired PSI and then begin inflating. It will monitor the PSI and automatically stop when you have reached the chosen level. You lose a small amount of pressure while removing the inflator hose so I normally inflate an extra 1 or 2 PSI due to that fact.

The air inflator also has a built-in LED flashlight that comes in handy when working outside in the dark or in a dark garage. It also has built-in nozzles and hoses that are used to inflate other things

I love this air inflator & I would recommend it to all.

Essential Kit for the Garmin Nuvi 760 760T includes a Car and Wall Charger - uses Gomadic TipExchan

Essential Kit for the Garmin Nuvi 760 760T includes a Car and Wall Charger - uses Gomadic TipExchange Technology
  • Kit includes: DC Car Charger and a AC Wall Charger
  • Advanced internal circuitry prevents device from power surges; overcharging and short-circuiting
  • High current output current ( 1000mA ) for faster charging; full lifetime warranty
  • TipExchange Technology protects investment providing means to upgrade charger tips at lower cost (Tips Included)
  • Charging adapter works with both foreign and domestic outlets (100-240 Volts AC)

I bought this cause I needed a new, cheap, charger for my Nuvi. The car charger and wall chargers work as advertised. The one drawback is the plug (or adapter for the plug) that goes in to the Nuvi. It's way too long and, since the port is at the bottom of the Nuvi, it makes the Nuvi hard to properly mount in the car (I have one of the beanbag mounts so it sits on the dashboard rather than hanging from the window). I have to push the Nuvi so it's hanging almost half off the dashboard just so I can tilt the screen down to where I can actually see it since the plug is in the way. If your original Nuvi car charger breaks and you need a cheap one this works but it may be worth it to get an official Garmin charger instead. You get what you pay for.

RoadPro 12-Volt Portable Stove, Black

RoadPro 12-Volt Portable Stove, BlackIt really gets old eating fast food while out on the road.I'm a trucker and thats all they have in most travel centers. On Christmas my girlfriend got me this, and its the best gift I could have gotten. This is a tackle box stove, and its mainly a food warmer. This will get pretty hot also, and after plugged in for only 10 minutes the bottom plate has plenty of heat.I can pull into a rest area, throw some hot pockets or burritos in it.Then head down the road and then pull over and have lunch in about an hour. This stove saves me a whole lot of money as well,as i really don't have a need to eat out when I'm on the road.In the morning i can put some sausage biscuits in it and in 30 min. there piping hot.As for dinner i can warm up leftover pizza, lasagna, soups, or pretty much any frozen food and it comes out great. If theres any negative thing to this stove,I'm not sure what it would be.Its prefect for a someone running solo or a team.So if you want to eat healthier on the road or just to be able to bring some real good food with you, this would be the item to have.

UPDATE 4/11I need to to let people know i am still enjoying my stove.I'm able to pull over put my food in my stove, and about an hour later its done.I was getting burned out on hotpockets,so found other great things to cook.miniature pizzas for 45 min.(butches pizza) work great in this, you might need to trim it though.Chicken wings for 60 min.(walgreens premade)work great in this too,and a nice treat for me.campbells chucky soups for 60-90 min. using loaf pans lined with foil, our great to have as well.I like the clam chowder & chicken gumbo sausage soups.BBQ sandwiches work great in this too,i buy lloyds premade pork for 45 min.,and a package of buns and i'm set for the week.Mozzarella sticks & cheddar poppers for 45 min.our a nice treat as well. This stove really saves me a whole lot of money and being a long distance trucker,it gives me a chance to have something decent when i'm gone.

I want o start by saying the image shown doesn't really look like the Roadpro I got, the one pictured looks cheaply made and flimsy. The one I got looks much better built. Also there are no tins, not a big deal as I had some already (and I recommend getting some they will be handy)

That said this thing is awesome! I pre-made a few breakfast burritos to heat up while we were out in the Mts on a day trip. I got out my little stove to give it a try, grabbed my burrito out of the ice chest and about 10mins later had a hot meal and I do mean hot! This thing definitely lives up to the 300 degrees.

Two things to note:

1. The bottom of the stove gets fairly warm. I only had it on for 15-20mins at a time so I can't say how hot it would get but it was hot enough I took notice.

2. I felt the need to flip my burritos as it heated more on the bottom than the top. Stacking two to three didn't work well either. There was plenty of room but the ones on top didn't get hot, they might have got a little warmer but not much.

I work for the Fire Department Emergency Medical Services and always find it very difficult to have lunch since we are not given a lunch break. So, now I can just heat up my food while working and have a nice hot home made meal as soon as I have a chance instead of waiting for take out fast food. Trust me that now in this difficult times 911 is very busy and sometimes we dont even make it to a fast food restaurant. So its also a very smart way to save money for those of us working on the road.

It was so nice to have a hot meal on the outing. Beware, it draws a little over 12 amps and most car accessories are fused at 6 or 8 amps (at least the ones I've seen). I custom built my Accessory line and made it heavy duty for a 20 amp service so I was OK from the start. The unit says it runs at 144 Watts, and my ammeter agreed (12V X 12A =144W). Definately use the foil trays and consider using extra foil in those trays to cover whatever you have in them to keep it from spilling if the stove gets knocked around at all.

The items in the bottom of the tray were scorched (hot dogs) the first time I used the stove, and they were really hot after about 1/2 hour or so. The second day I added some water into the bottom of the stove (under the tray) and it was perfect...no scorching, and still really hot. I can hardly wait to try it again and come up with different things to heat up.

Nitecore Sysmax Intellicharge i4 version 2, Four Bays universal home/car battery charger, Two Nitec

Nitecore Sysmax Intellicharge i4 version 2, Four Bays universal home/car battery charger, Two Nitecore 18650 NL183 2300mAh rechargeable batteries, Two Nitecore RCR123 NL166 650mAh rechargeable batteries with Smith & Wesson Carabeamer LED Clip Light packagePurchased this along with the Nitecore MH 40 (nice light). Found the charger to be defective right out of the box. Worked on DC power but not when plugged into AC. Returning was easy and fast thru Amazon. Exchanging wasn't an option available, but am going to try purchasing another one since I can use the included batteries in other devices

So far so good. I am using a Sure Fire E2D LED DEFENDER and an M4 Scirrako Extreme Beam tactical light and this charger and battery say they are the best choice I could have made for a charger plus batteries. These are serving us well.

The CR123As are 3.7v and do not seem to present a problem with either tac light at this point. The larger batteries have a bigger diameter and do not fit in my Sure Fire, unfortunately. However, the larger batteries DO fit my Extreme Beam Scirrako quite comfortably and give well over 3 hours continuous run time. The CR123As fit mu Sure Fire nicely and function well enough with well over 2 hours of run time. These seem to work as well as the normal lithium batteries with no noticeable drawbacks which is unusual for rechargeables.

The other thing is the intelligent charger. It is not a 15 minute rapid charge so expect 3 hrs for a good deep charge. The fact that it is "smart" enough to determine the chemical makeup of the batteries and then choose the best charge "patterns" for optimal charging and longest battery life is a remarkable feature to say the least. It will also charge any AA or AAA batteries in any combination as the slots function independently of each other. I have owned many different hobby and utility chargers and battery types over the duration of many years and this is hands down by far the best charger I have ever owned and even the best price. I just wish we could charge C, D, 9v, etc.

Great quality buy and price!

You cant beat the prices at AMAZON I tried and could not do it so don't waste any time put your order in now and enjoy this great product by Nitecore Sysmax. Remember this is a High Output charger so don't put single AAA or AA Batteries in this unit always put more than one at a time in it to be charged and space them out unless using all 4 charging slots. Admittedly I haven't had the charger or batteries very long, but I have used it with li-ion and NiMh batteries and it did all the ad said it would. Don't know if this will fly, but EdisonBright, the company I bought it from--through Amazon--delivers every bit as good as the charger. Maybe better. Power Bright PW3500-12 Power Inverter 3500 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt AC

Power Bright PW3500-12 Power Inverter 3500 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt ACI use this inverter for powering power tools on construction jobs. It has taken the place of an 1800 watt gas generator. Wish I made the switch years ago. This inverter easily powers large 1/2" electric drills and most any other power tools without any problem at all. Setup quick connects, also available on Amazon, to my truck battery. All the other contractors are also amazed. Never again will I use a heavy smelly generator. The unit is lightweight, easily moved to different trucks with quick connects (non included). Its a little bulky and may not readily fit in a standard pickup truck conveniently. However with the quick connects comming through the grill it can just be placed on the ground and used just like you would a portable generator, although it isn't weather proof so it would have to be protected from rain. Possibly behind the front seat. Mine is mounted in between the front seats of a Ford E-250 work van. Fits nicely there and is also used to charge all the cordless tool batteries. If all you needed was to charge cordless batteries a much smaller unit would be fine. But this 3500 will power anything you can plug into it.

I am a business owner who builds custom wooden crates and skids on site for the moving and shipping industry. Bought this hoping to eliminate the need for a loud exhaust puffing generator that can be hard to start in winter to power saws drills and air compressors in a small van that does smaller jobs throughout the city of Chicago. Plan was to hook it up to the existing battery in van and run all equipment while the vehicle idles.

I must say it generates the power needed to power a 3/4 horsepower air compressor and a 13 amp miter saw individually. When they operate simultaneously it does struggle a little, but still does manage to keep everything running. This isn't that big of a deal for me as normally only one person is working out of this truck at a time. I was worried about it draining the battery of my vehicle but the safety shut off at 10 volts solves that problem. I did, later on, equip my truck with a deep cycling marine battery. Now for most jobs I don't even have to idle van to continually charge the battery.

In my application This is better than an invert-er generator because it is 6x cheaper for same wattage, quieter, and takes up less space in back of truck.

Only thing is that a chart or reference of some type, to guide the purchaser, on the size of cables to use would have been handy. It took me a few hours of research to figure out the safe AWG of cable to use. I used 15 ft of 3/0 cable and it seems to be working fine.

I eventually will equip my other small van with an invert-er also but I may go up in size to a 5000W unit.

I use this in my Ford transit to power a microwave, coffee maker and toaster. This is great. I was even able to run the microwave and coffee maker at the same time. The only issue is the installation. I had to run a 0 gauge cable from my battery to the back of the truck.

This was my second Power Bright PW3500 that I purchased, the first one quit after five years one day it worked then next time nothing. This next new one right out of the box the remote did not work but this was not essential just a nusance, to replace one from Bermuda would cost more than it's worth. The inverters work very well though and can provide good power on a number of projects as we use trucks in sales displays with all kinds of lights and sound playing for promoting soft drinks out in the field also we have power supply for music and lights for trucks in parades around the Island, all told I would get another one if this one lasts over five years.
