I can not stand stuff in my ears so this was the perfect answer to hands free car phone.

My husband is a long haul truck driver and I bought him one for his truck and he too is very happy.

Easy set up,and easy to connect, disconnect when you get in and out of the car.It has a long battery charge as well.

I know there are more expensive units out there but, this gives you all you need for very little cost, and Amazon has the best price as I shoped other sites for the same product.

Duracell DRINVC130 130W Power Inverter with 2.1 Amp USB Port

Duracell DRINVC130 130W Power Inverter with 2.1 Amp USB PortOverall this is a great little charger. My favorite feature would definitely have to be the DC plug since my car only has 1, and I don't have to buy another splitter to power other devices.

For powering a laptop, the AC plug works great.

The main reason I bought it was to power a HP Touchpad, which apparently the 2.1amp USB plug still has trouble doing.

The only other complaint I would have about it is that the fan makes a quiet ticking noise. It's just loud enough to hear; if it were more like a fan noise I wouldn't have an issue with it.

I initially was looking for an inverter with an extra 12V power outlet because I have a Soundfly Car FM Transmitter for SD card/USB/MP3 in my older car (which lacks an Aux input on the stereo), and the Soundfly occupies the 12V outlet all the time. Finding such an inverter which ALSO has a USB power port, and a 2.1A high-powered one at that, was a huge bonus. And the cup-holder form factor is very convenient. This product is brilliant; absolutely, totally perfect, or it WOULD be... And that brings us to some of the minor drawbacks.

For one thing, there is no On/Off switch on the inverter. My car never turns off its 12V socket, key in the ignition or no key. The Duracell inverter theoretically will disengage if the car battery gets low, but I'd rather not find out. That means remembering to unplug the thing every time so as not to leave the inverter circuits constantly live on the battery, which greatly lessens its convenience.

For another thing, the USB port is supposed to be a high-current 2.1A variety. However, my iPad2 doesn't seem to charge at full speed on it. The iPad SAYS it's charging, and the charge percentage doesn't go down, but then, it doesn't really go up, either.

Another minor complaint, the inverter fan generates a faint ticking buzz. It's enough to be irritating if you're sitting in the parking lot listening to something quiet, but luckily, once you're underway, the fan is easily masked by engine and road noise. I rarely notice it, and honestly, the Duracell is much quieter than the last inverter I owned.

(Also, there is only one of each kind of port. One 12V, one AC, one USB. For me this is perfect, but if you need, say, multiple USB charge ports, you might need to go a different way.)

I have addressed these concerns by: Ignoring the fan noise. Using my iPad on the USB port, and not worrying about whether it's charging at full speed or not. (If my iPad is REALLY low and I need it to definitely charge FAST, I can always plug its own little white charger into the AC outlet on the inverter. Shouldn't have to do that, but it works.) And finally, I installed a heavy duty lamp cord switch on the inverter's 12V power feed wire, so I can leave the unit plugged in in my car but turn it on and off. Thus voiding the product warranty, but for me, the increase in usefulness was worth it.

Overall, this is a highly useful gadget, I use it every day and am glad it's there every day.

Buy Duracell DRINVC130 130W Power Inverter with 2.1 Amp USB Port Now

This is a great little inverter for the money. It doesn't get 5 stars because of one very big problem--if you leave it plugged in, it will run your battery down if your vehicle continues to send power to the cigarette lighter even when the key is turned off. Luckily for me, this happened to me in a nice, heated garage, and I had another vehicle with jumper cables handy. Since then, I have been very careful about unplugging it every time I get out of the car. The cupholder shape fits perfectly into my car's cupholder. I love the fact that it has 3 outlets--(1) 12v outlet, (1) 120v outlet, and (1) usb charger port. I can charge my phone, listen to my mp3 player (powered by 12v), and run my GPS off the wall charger all at the same time. When I was researching to buy this unit, I spent a lot of time looking for one similar to this. There are cheaper and less expensive units out there. Very few had the size, power, and function of this unit. It's been great so far. It's never overheated (yet), and it is so quiet, I can't even hear it running, even with the car turned off. When I bought this, it was about $40.

Road trips these days are a perpetual electronic negotiation. Do we pack the "travel kit" for the phones, or will the batteries last until we get there? Is the USB cable for the player enough? How about the spare battery for the laptop?

This inverter takes out the guesswork. It will accept all three kinds of connection USB, wall outlet (grounded, even), and "cigarette lighter" and let you use and charge electronic devices in your car.

The device is very well designed. The "wall outlet" has enough space around it to accommodate oddly-shaped plugs. The cord is long enough to put a laptop in the back seat, and plug into the dash. And, joy of joys, the thing is designed to fit into the cupholder (with enough clearance around it to let the fan in the bottom of the device have airflow).

As a road test, I charged an iPhone (via the cigarette lighter outlet), a regular cell phone (via the wall-type outlet), and a Sansa MP3 player (via the USB) simultaneously. They all charged about as quickly as I would expect from a normal connection, with no problems. After 40 minutes in a warm car the inverter was very slightly warm to the touch, but not enough for the cooling fan built into the bottom of the device to go on (I expect it will when one is charging a laptop. And I wouldn't attach a washing machine to this, if you should somehow want to run one on the highway).

Our Suburu Forester has another lighter-outlet inside the center armrest, with a small compartment next to it for on-the-road electronics (I also recommend the Forester). This device will be living there.

Want Duracell DRINVC130 130W Power Inverter with 2.1 Amp USB Port Discount?

I've been driving around with this Duracell DRINVC130 130W Power Inverter with 2.1 Amp USB Port in my car for a few days now. So far, so good. I've charged a cell phone using the AC outlet, iPod using the USB port, and GPS using the CD outlet. I had no problems fitting any of the various cords into their respective outlets or with the cords staying in place, including the connection with my vehicle's power outlet.

The cylindrical shape fits into the cupholder as designed, which is a nice convenience and which makes access to the plugs easy. So far, this power inverter is quiet and cool, but none of the other inverters I have tried became warm or made any sound either (though both quit working after about a year).

The plastic seems thin and prone to shattering if dropped on a driveway or garage floor. The thin plastic around the various outlets seems another place that could be prone to splitting or splintering after prolonged use. So far, though, neither has proven a problem, the unit continues working well, and it performs as describes, so I upgraded my original rating to 4 stars (9/27/11).

The packaging is supposedly "green," which I think means we are not supposed to feel guilty for buying something that uses more cardboard than needed and prints instructions on the front of a legal-sized sheet of paper instead of on the front and back of a sheet half this size. (Furthermore, the instructions and warranty information could easily be edited by a third or more just by using the active voice.)

There is a three-year "limited" warranty, but as with most products, having to hold onto a dated sales receipt during that time can prove a challenge.

PowerDrive RPPD2000 2000-Watt DC to AC Power Inverter with USB Port and 3 AC Outlet

PowerDrive RPPD2000 2000-Watt DC to AC Power Inverter with USB Port and 3 AC Outleti too bought this inverter and the fan also started making noise. it now is in the dumpster. in less than a year, it cut off after only a few minutes of operation. it also had signs of overheating on the inside. i only bought it to make coffee. i dug out my cobra 500 watt ( 5 years old ) and it still works. no coffee but everything else works fine with it. i am now looking for a cobra 2000 watt, if they make one. i may just skip the coffee and use the one i already have. sorry i couldnt be technical with nuts and bolts info, but to me its either a good product or it isnt and in my experience with the one i had, i wouldnt buy another one.

Picked one up a year ago, finally using it hard during Hurricane Irene. Hooked up in the garage to three car batteries so when I shut the generator down for the night I run the freezer and refrig off the inverter to keep things frosty. In the morning I swap back to generator and charge the batteries back up. It almost makes it through the night before powering down due to low batteries. Flawless operation so far! Paid too much at a truck stop for the unit, Amazon was $75 cheaper but on the other hand glad I have it now ;-)

Can't say its the best unit, hence 4 stars but hasn't done me wrong yet either. Would be nice if the company sold a remote. Documentaion is vauge as to the wiring pin out.

UPDATEUnit died after a few hours use, I would avoid purchasing this unit.

Buy PowerDrive RPPD2000 2000-Watt DC to AC Power Inverter with USB Port and 3 AC Outlet Now

I had this inverter for nearly a year...I think this product comes from China like so many of the others do, but shortly after usage, the main fan motor started making horrible sounds. Then, without warning the unit burned up its power regulator components when I started the big rig's motor after a ground wire had broken loose from the starter. The truck uses 4 batteries as most of them do and they are wired together parallel in two sets. Since instructions are not specific on where to attach the battery cables, I had one set powering once side, and the other set powering the other side of the inverter. But engaging the starter motor without the one set being grounded caused the load to pass through the power regulator transistors, frying them to a crisp. This was an unforeseeable event by the designer of the circuitry, as only the positive side is fused, and not the negative side. Do not make the mistake of wiring any inverter to two different sets of batteries, as if one cable disconnects, the load will pass through the inverter.

All these bad reviews would make it seem like this product is horrible. I am writing to say I have had this power inverter for 4+ years and it is still going strong.

I had it hooked up to my truck using very thick power cable , I believe 2 gauge, that cost an extra $50 which is recommended for the amount of power surging through this thing.

Come on people this is a 2000 watts continuous/4000 watts max power inverter. I bet these bad reviews probable hooked it up using 12 gauge or thinner power cables, or only hooked up one set of power connectors (there are two +/each) and then wonder why is not performing as expected.

All I can say is if you can get this for cheaper than amazon sells it then go for it. Make sure to get the correct power cables which are at least 2 gauge.

Want PowerDrive RPPD2000 2000-Watt DC to AC Power Inverter with USB Port and 3 AC Outlet Discount?

I have (had) this inverter as a backup to my Tundra HD 2500 the truck has a TriPac system and I opted for the 4 big bad boy batteries. Power distribution to this inverter and the tundra is 3+ 300 low oxygen power cables (used in car stereo stuff, rated at 600 amps per lead). You don't want to loose power if your trapped up on I-80.

In any case the Tundra ran all my big stuff and this was only turned on to charge my phone, headset and batteries (battery charger for my flashlight). A cooling fan went out on my Tundra so I had to start (trying) to use this for my TV Microwave and Computer; at first it would run any one of them, but not all so no problem, one thing at a time then it stopped running my microwave, then it wouldn't keep my computer and TV (projector) running, then it fell below 275 watts and wouldn't run my computer. (I was stuck on I-80 for 4 days) Thankfully my Kindle had a couple of books I hadn't read.

SO -I sent this in to them to fix, it was under warranty; and that was a nightmare plus the shipping costs. They send it back to my house, I show up two weeks later to pick it up and there is a note inside: No problems found unit returned to customer There was even a snotty note about how I needed to make SURE and connect ALL power leads not just two. At this point I'm steamed and call them, offer to show pics of it wired correctly and not working (video), and the most I got out of them was rude replies and an eventual "send it back in and we will look at it." IE: spend another 35.00 in shipping (Translated: Spend 1/2 what it would cost to just buy another one to fix this one)...

There is simply NOT enough bad things I could say about this product Buy a brick and beat yourself in some sensitive area for a couple of hours a day and you will be better off than if you had bought this product.

iBOLT iProDock ChargingDock Kit for Apple 30pin iPhones - Includes 3 connector housings to fit most

iBOLT iProDock ChargingDock Kit for Apple 30pin iPhones - Includes 3 connector housings to fit most Compatible with most Apple approved car chargers - Cell Phone Car MountI ordered this dock because I wanted something that I could quickly stick my iPhone 4S in to power it while I drive.

It was important to me that it had a windshield suction cup mount. I like to have my phone in my field of vision while I drive so I'm not looking away from the road when I look at maps. I also liked that this one had interchangeable dock connectors, which means I could just pop in a Lightning connector when I upgrade to the latest iPhone. It's constructed as to work with a case as well.

This would have all been great if Amazon hadn't sent me the wrong one. Instead of the iProDock with the 3 different mounting options, I got the iBOLT iProDock Amps Plate Kit which only includes a plate mount. Amazon was unhelpful, only offering to refund me, not send me the correct item.

So I emailed iBOLT, told them what happened, and they happily sent me the mounts, free of charge. That's service.

I'm happy with the mount now that I finally have all the right pieces.

Husky Liners Classic Style Custom Fit Molded Front Floor Liner for Select Ford Edge/Lincoln MKX Mod

Husky Liners Classic Style Custom Fit Molded Front Floor Liner for Select Ford Edge/Lincoln MKX ModelsI ordered these sight unseen for my new 2011 Ford Edge Limited. I was worried I might not like the fit but they fit better than expected. In fact I love how they fit and look. Great for keeping the snow and dirt off my car floors.

I had the other major floor mat product for my Ford Edge. While their fit and material was great, they were constructed with an opening on the driver's side mat where the rention clip fit in to keep the mats from sliding. The problem is water seeps through this hole into the carpeting. I used duct tape to seal this opening. I had purchased these Husky mats for my Mustang and there are no openings the retention clip opening is secure and water does not seep through. The Husky floor mats are now available for the Ford Edge and I ordered them. Getting and installing them, Husky's fit is great with materials that are guaranteed. These liners will hold much water and, with the way they are constructed, I don't have to worry about melting snow and slush with mud getting to the carpet. Inspect the products closely and you will see the difference and save a few dollars with Husky!! Love these mats!!

This product is the best to keep your floors clean. If you spill something it remains inside the contained area.

Want Husky Liners Classic Style Custom Fit Molded Front Floor Liner for Select Ford Edge/Lincoln MKX Mod Discount?

High quality, fit perfectly with no gaps or places where they do not lie flat on the carpet. Very nice mats and cheaper than the competition. The nice thing about the Edge is that the front mat sits down in the floor pan so the lip is below the edge of the door frame. The Husky mat fits snuggly between this lip and the center consol so there is no lip standing up on the mat to trip over.

I clean cars and these mats definately protect the carpets as well as any and better than most.

The fact that the hole for the OEM pin that holds the drivers mat in place is completely covered by these mats is a plus. Others have an opening that allows water and dirt to get to the carpet. This is another indication of the quality found in these "Made In America" mats.

Schumacher XP500 Instant Portable Power Source

Schumacher XP500 Instant Portable Power SourceWe bought this at Walmart a few months ago with little to no research ( which isn't like me at all) so I was very surprised to find the

unit works like a champ. It was bought specifically to start a riding mower whose battery always seems to be dead. Far easier to take this unit to the mower then to try jump starting it with a vehicle.I was delighted it worked so well. I was given the chance to help a stranded motorist with a dead battery as few weeks ago and thought here is a chance to see if it can crank the big trucks not just the mower.

I remember the look on the guys face when I pulled this from the back seat of my truck..He said that little toy isn't going to

start this truck..I simply hooked the terminals red to + and Black to the asked him to turn over the engine..truck started without the slightest

hesitation...the look on his face was well worth the money we paid for this unit.

The operation is simple enough..after the unit is fully charged per the manual..hook the terminals up to the battery posts and turn the knob to the on position

boom ,,done ..There are a row of led lights but they are high up on unit with no real way to aim or focus the light which might be handy changing a tire at night.

There is also usb port for small devices which is cool.

The only thing I didn't like is the way this plugs into the wall (for charging/recharging)..the prongs simply flip up from the back ..this makes it easy for the unit to not make contact..a small cord would have been nice..maybe one can bought ..I don't know.

So all in all it's a excellent unit and I plan to buy at least one for each vehicle for emergencies and we are getting my dad one for Christmas as well.

This is going to be my second battery charger of this brand; I got my first second hand and I have never had an issue with it. This is a great resource for not only jumping car batteries, but for power outages as well; the USB port makes and the 12 volt adapter makes it easy to plug in multiple devices for charging and the built in LED light is surprisingly bright given its size. It's light in weight so transporting is no issue as well and the battery life is great (I haven't yet fully drained the charge after multiple uses and hours). I used this on a camping trip, during Hurricane Irene and a freak Nor'easter this past October and it was a life saver especially going for days without power. I highly recommend this product for your charging and utility needs!

Schumacher SAC-109 Male-to-Male Connector

This is plenty good enough for boosting a compact car battery. My kids have stranded the car a few times by setting off the car alarm and not resetting it until the battery is too low to start the car. After some late night rescues with jumper cables I needed another solution. XP500 was it. I have never tested it with a totally dead car battery, but it works well to help a low battery. I wish it had a needle meter instead of LEDs, and it should come with the male-male 12v connector. I made a 20' one with 2 $.99 male plugs and some heater cord. The XP500 sits in the trunk getting charged up from the automobile charging system.

Read Best Reviews of Schumacher XP500 Instant Portable Power Source Here

This device does what it's supposed to. After a lengthy initial charge, the monthly recharge doesn't take too long if you haven't used it. Has started a small Honda Fit battery that was practically dead and currently sits in the back of that car. Has a LED light which would be useful in a dark situation.

The power on device is a rotary dial for some reason. I'm not sure why it's not just a switch. Clamps are strong, but a little big, I had to work to position the positive in the small space available on the actual battery so it could make contact with the terminal. Be aware of that if you have a modern battery with fuses or other hard plastic around the terminal.

Want Schumacher XP500 Instant Portable Power Source Discount?

I had TWO: 1st returned after not taking a charge and the led lights not working correctly. (also wouldn't start the car and I ended up calling a wrecker for $30 bucks anyway)

Replacement, I charged and charged... Green light never came ON but did Glow some. After 3 days I unplugged it, let it sit and the indicator when pushed lit the green light (OK).

3 days ago, battery dead again so I hooked it up, let it sit awhile and tried to start the car. turned over poorly a few times then nothing! I tried as long as I could and it went dead very fast, what there was of it.

Luckily, a neighbor came by and I got a jump from him. Drove around awhile and all was well.

I plugged the unit in to re-charge (push button showed nothing lit! red, amber, OR green)! Lit up red as normal and I thought nothing of it.

An hour later, I glanced over and it was GREEN (charged) again! Waaaay too fast.

So, I sent it back for refund. I don't trust it, it wouldn't do the job (it's only a 6 cylinder, not a Peter Built for the love of Mike)!

Any product with a special return sticker on them all OUGHT to tell you something!

I am going to spring for a commercial grade and be done with this nonsense...

Keyless Entry Remote Fob Clicker for 2006 Toyota RAV4 With Do-It-Yourself Programming

Keyless Entry Remote Fob Clicker for 2006 Toyota RAV4 With Do-It-Yourself ProgrammingThis key worked perfectly for me! Great alternative to paying $200+ at the dealership. I tried Home Depot and a couple of other hardware stores to have the key cut, but it was too large to fit into their machines. They recommended trying a locksmith, which I did, and they were able to cut the key in just a couple of minutes for free. After the key is cut, follow the programming directions which I admit, took me a few attempts until I had it memorized, but it really is simple. As a previous poster mentioned, you need to make sure that your car does not require an anti-theft microchip in the key. The computer device inside my key had fallen out and my broken key still started the car, so I knew this wasn't necessary for me.

The keys are good and programming them to open the doors was easy.

Unfortunately the keys WILL NOT start your car until you take your car and the keys to a locksmith ($125) or the dealer ($300) to have the anti-theft chip programmed.

The ad says "Easy programming at home, no dealership hassle!" but it's not true unless you want to open the door, but not drive the car.

This product worried me when I was trying to figure out whether or not it was the correct key. I took it to Ace Hardware, Home Dept, Lowes, two local locksmiths, and none of them had the machine that could fit the key due to it's large push button handle. I finally found a locksmith that had the correct machine and $5 later I was ready to program it. Programming was a piece of cake and took no longer than 5 minutes. Just follow the directions. Key works great! Ordering a second one now for my wife.

I've programmed the open/close remote control and it does not work (I followed the instructions carefully to ensure I wasn't making a mistake). Don't know what to do with the key now.

To make matters worse the key does not start the ignition. It fits the key hole, does start the stater motor, but the main engine doesn't kick in afterwards

JVC KT-SR2000 Plug 'n' Play Sirius Satellite Radio Receiver

JVC KT-SR2000 Plug 'n' Play Sirius Satellite Radio Receiver
  • PDA-shaped Sirius satellite radio receiver lets you listen to over 100 streams of Sirius satellite radio programming
  • Receiver has 18 presets, 20-song memory, and a remote control; features an easy-to-read LCD
  • Can automatically alert you to your favorite songs or switch to a stream at preselected time
  • Sirius radio service subscription and 1 of JVC KS-K6012 or KS-K6013 (car or home docking kits) required for use; each sold separately
  • Measures 2.7 x 4.4 x 1.1 inches (W x H x D)

Chose Sirius for content reasons, after shopping extensively for Sirius PNP receivers, chose the JVC unit for the following reasons:

-small size "PDA style" -can fit in your pocket

-super bright/readable screen -crisp 'red LED' on black background

-wanted a second generation receiver from mfr who had first gen experience (JVC 2000 supersedes 1000)

-reputation for very good antenna

-rumor that soon-to-be release boombox will be superb

I was not disappointed. Installed in car with antenna on dash and experienced very few drop outs despite less than optimal antenna location. Did notice a bit of hiss with the integral FM modulator, so opted for direct connection to my "MP3" Aux input on the car stereo... beautiful sound with the direct connection. Screen indeed readable in bright sunlight. Channel/category switch on the unit a bit clunky (though buttons on remote are fine = "real buttons")... other than this I'm highly satisfied. The 18 presets on the unit more than enough for me and suction cup dash/window mount that comes with the car kit seems bulletproof and very tight (especially vs. double-stick tape approach with other units). Nice thing about the PDA form factor when used in the car is that it's easy to slip in your pocket if leaving the car in a theft-prone area. Unit runs warm but nowhere near as hot as I thought it might given other online comments.

Sirius programming seems a bit more oriented to older demographic vs. XM. I liked (1) extensive news including PBS/BBC/PRI/World, (2) reggae/tropical/vacation channels, (3) tighter music genres in general (vs. more thematic on XM)... and in 2006 am looking forward to Howard Stern's move from FM to Sirius. Only programming on XM not on Sirius that I miss is MSNBC. Also note that Sirius traffic/weather is slightly less convenient since they put two cities on each channel, cycling coverage through each.

Looking forward to getting the boombox for the JVC KT-SR2000 soon... this appears to be simple, clean aesthetically (would look ok at home) and has a bass-boost capability... a/c adapter and antenna with 20' cord included.

I have had the JVC KT-SR2000 with Sirius service for about 6 weeks now. It is a lot of fun and provides constant variety while driving on a long commute. But the ideal I had envisioned about satellite radio did not come to fruition.

PLUSES:

Excellent selection of stations, including many sub-genres of Rock, Jazz, Classical, News, etc.

Easy to set up with the car kits

Compact size head unit

MINUSES:

Sound quality through the FM transmitter is terrible. The music stations sound a little better than AM, and the news/talk stations sound worse than AM (I am listening to this through a Lexus OEM stereo). If I compare to my iPod with Belkin FM transmitter, there is no comparison the iPod sounds as good or better than any FM station.

Sound quality through the home kit, with direct connection to home stereo system, is also poor. There is little dynamic range, the music tracks sound compressed, the bass is muddy, and the highs are truncated.

The music stations have annoying DJ's in between songs what for? Everything I need to know (artist, song title) is right there on the screen. Get rid of the DJ's, eliminate their salaries, and instead lower the monthly service charge!

Maybe the in-dash Sirius units sound better? I hope so.

I recently bought this radio, primarily for my car, but also got the home dock. It was easy to set up and install both types of kit. Unfortunately, the sound quality was very poor in both configurations. The FM modulator for the car was pretty close to hopeless. It only has maybe 10 channels. I found one that was free, luckily. But even with a clear channel, the sound had a terrible hiss, that went up and down in volume at apparent random even when everything was stationary. The occupied channels actually worked about as well (still lots of hiss)except when the underlying channel broke through. Even disregarding the hiss, the sound quality on the music was not very good.

I thought the problem was probably with the FM modulator, so I tried it in the home dock, connected to a *very good* home hi-fi system. The hiss was gone, but the sound quality was completely unacceptable. For whatever reason, this particular receiver doesn't like the compression artifacts very much. Satellite radio quality is, AT BEST, about like an average MP3, with highly compressed signals (some channels better than others). This receiver seemed to exacerbate the effect, and it sounded a lot like a tin can and string "telephone" most of the time. It was vert irritating very quickly.

The form factor (about the size of a modern walkie-talkie) was fine, and pretty easy to fit in the car. It also seemed to be pretty solidly built. But all of that is completely moot if it doesn't work properly.

I returned the receiver and both kits the next day.

I chose this model because it came with the only magnetic mounting antenna I could find. It's a breeze to switch to other vehicles. All the other units I looked at had an adhesive mounted antenna (for cars), too permanent for me and I have 3 cars.

The best part about this unit is that when you attach the included FM antenna wire to the thing (like it says in the manual)it can be picked up by every radio on all 3 stories of my house and on my walkman in my backyard.

I was initially worried about getting sat. radio because I like listening to my walkman while out working in the yard. The transmitter reaches all over my yard great and I can even tune in on a radio out in my shed with the unit on in my house. I keep it in an upstairs bedroom on the top floor of my house and it reaches to the tuner in the basement fine.

I love the programming as well and would highly recommend this unit to anyone because of its portability between vehicles with one antenna and its transmitter that whill cover every radio in your house (and yard).

I was told at the store this product has an excellent fm modulator. Very wrong. This was the reason i bought it and am very disappointed. Do not buy unless you have a direct hook up.

Sunforce 50033 15-Watt Solar Charging Kit

Sunforce 50033 15-Watt Solar Charging KitI am extremely pleased with the performance of this solar panel. We have one installed in a small cabin style 12-volt system intended only to charge personal electronics at a remote location. Just add a deep cycle battery and a DC to AC 120 power inverter, such as the Cobra CPI 480 400-Watt 12-Volt DC to 120-Volt AC Power Inverter with 5-Volt USB Output. It is great!

One WARNING for those new to such systems like we were. The charge controller that comes with this kit is just fine, but it is only for *MAINTAINING* a 12 volt battery. If that is your purpose, buy *this* kit.

But, if you want to add an inverter so that you can have AC, USB (and we even added a 12 volt car socket which is the most efficient), then buy the same panel *without* the charge controller and wiring kit. What you need is a charge controller like the Kintrex SPC0601 7 Amp 100 Watt 12 Volt Solar Power Charge Controller, and various connectors of course. The Sunforce controller only has connections for the solar panel and the battery. The Kintrex adds a load connector for power output which isolates the charge controller and gives you usable power output to your inverter. If you try to parallel the battery connection to your devices like I naively did, you risk overcharging your battery. (I vented a little hydrogen and oxygen, but did not do it long enough to ruin my battery.)

I will definitely be buying more of these panels for other projects. Once you understand the fairly simple wiring you can easily create a great low power system for a cabin. (Next, we will build a 60 or 90 watt system...)

HiI bought this set-up to keep my Motorhome charged when not using it. It is only 15 watts so can barely keep the battery up to charge if I am actually using any lights or other stuff but it will keep up with the draw of the refridgerator and minimal stuff. My only beef is the controller wires could have all been pre-terminated with connectors rather than having me do that. This was bought as a kit so it would have been nice if there was a connector on the input side of the controller that mated witht he connector on teh solar panel and a different style connector on the output that would be compatible with the cigarette-lighter adapter, etc. In other wordsall set up to just plug in and go.

Once I soldered and shrinkwrapped the new connectors on I'm pretty happy with it. Not everyone has the ability to properly terminate the wires.

Thanks

I purchased this combo for off grid minimal lighting needs with high hopes. Package arrived dented, but contents appeared OK. Open circuit voltage on solar panel OK at 22v. However, max power output on sunny day was 1.6w (130mA@ 12.3v). This was on a day that my conventional 2.7kW system was producing 1.8kW. My plan is to return and try again, but purchasers should definitely check output.

This product has worked out well for me.

As I haven't isolated my truck battery its charging both truck and camper.

The vehicle has been unpluged from my 115V house access all summer.

I will say that it is a slow charge.

Update;

I have a 2nd unit installed in a Vanagon camper.

Works great and keeps all my batteries charged up.

You can see this installed at;

I was originally pleased with this purchase until, after about four months of use, the panel simply stopped working. There was no apparent damage and I carefully checked every connection for continuity. When I contacted customer service they replied by asking about the settings on my multimeter. I explained the situation to them but received no further response. I know how difficult it can be to troubleshoot a technical problem over the phone or by email but they didn't even try. It seemed like a good product at first but now it only functions as an overpriced door stop.

Had this amp for about 2 years on 2 kicket 12inch cvts, this thing was so loud its starting to rattle my truck apart. Unfortunately one day it just stopped working, no output. The light is on and everything is hooked up properly but I took it in to the professional who installed it and he tested and said it was done.

I ordered another one though because I liked it so much, where else can you get 2000w (probably actually around 1500w) for 230$? I think I got unlucky, hopefully the next one lasts longer! How long have you guys had yours for?

had a crossfire amp and 12" sub on box and decided to invest in this amp and within a couple of days the crossfire 12" failed switched to a pioneer Ts-W390d4 12" sub and i have to say been running this combination for 6 weeks now and no complaints from me but the neighbours complain constantly

You will not be able to find a better amp than this Epic Beast for the price! I have it powering 2 Powerbass L-104D 10" Subwoofers in a sealed box wired in parallel for an 1 ohm load and the amp barely gets warm. I've heard that it was stable down to .5 ohm (which I don't doubt)!

I would highly suggest an 170amp alternator or better for this power house. With my stock alt. my headlights dim and batt. gauge goes crazy when I push it hard. I got an 220amp alternator on the way.

Anyway, love the look of it, pounds hard, and couldn't be more pleased with it!
