This was to replace a worn remote on a 2003 Expedition. It programmed easily, and works like new. Very happy.

I bought this fob to replace the one that wore out for my 2001 Explorer. Even though the rear door release doesn't work on the 2001 (the original fob never had this button, and the rear lock isn't set up for this on the 2001), this new fob works flawlessly and programming was a snap.

Good price, fast delivery and easy to program. I had instructions with mine, but according to some reviewers, not everyone did. These are pretty standard directions to all Fords with the keyless remote entry: Cycle the key on/off 8 times and the door locks will lock and then unlock. Press the lock button on your key fob to program it (the fob) to your vehicle.

March 31st, 2012 my car was broken into and my thief/thieves got me for roughly $700.00 worth of electronics.

After searching around and reviewing many alarm models that are on the market, I ended up choosing this alarm because it was the most affordable, packed some great features, and is made by a name I know I can trust. If you are looking for a product that is going to protect your vehicle, this is a great choice. The only feature I have found that it DOESN'T have is REMOTE START, though it supposedly has the option (I haven't been able to find out how it is utilized through my research). I installed this unit myself, therefore I have read all about it.

ABOUT THE ALARM:

Ability to monitor your Dome Light, make it flash (if alarm is triggered), make it stay on for 30 seconds after you leave the vehicle.

Ability to monitor door triggers/Switches. Basically if the door is opened, the alarm is triggered.

Ability to monitor a trunk/hood pin. If the hood/trunk is opened, the alarm is triggered.

Ability to monitor ignition switch position. If the key is turned, the alarm is triggered.

Ability to disable the starter from functioning. If the alarm is armed, the starter is disabled.

Ability to lock/unlock your doors.

Ability to wire TWO of your own functions to the AUX channels. (Turn stereo on, pop trunk as examples)

Ability to detect vibrations. (The Shock sensor is built into the brain)

Ability to be wired into your lights, so they will flash when alarm is armed/unarmed/triggered.

Ability to control a BRIGHT BLUE LED to warn thieves.

-------These are the essentials to protection. There are other useful features, and options where you can program it to your liking.

As a example, if you were to want it to roll your windows up when you step away from the vehicle, this alarm can do it.

I recommend this alarm, unless remote start is something you desire. If not, get this device.

At first, I was skeptical to purchase this online from Amazon. I didn't want to pay anything more than what I had to for installation. The product came with everything I needed for installation. The product is great! The 2-way remote is kind of bulky and takes up space on your keychain but if you're paranoid like me and always wonder if you locked your doors or not, it is the greatest invention ever. It shows you that your car is either locked or not locked. That way you do not have to walk all the way back to your car to check if the car is locked.

I just had this alarm installed recently and I must say I works great. All the features work as advertised and having the two-way remote is great for added security and peace of mind. I haven't tested the range of the remote yet but it works fine from across a large parking lot. I definitely recommend buying this alarm from Amazon and having it installed professionally. You will save probably $100 over buying it from the shop that installs it.

This alarm is pretty good, well worth the price I paid for it, as it was a lot cheaper on Amazon than it was on Viper's actual website. Of course, I had the alarm professionally installed and it works great from across parking lots. The signal doesn't transfer too well through large buildings and walls, but that's expected, as this is the lower grade version of the Viper alarms.

It comes with 2 remotes that are pretty nice and the batteries last fairly long in each remote. Also, a blue LED light comes with this alarm that blinks when the alarm is armed, looks cool at night and is sure to scare away any intruders. Tons of other cool features and add ons for this alarm great buy. Also, the seller shipped item very fast. Great service.

I bought this alarm recently as was about to move to another apartment but still staying at my current place. I bought it having trust issues about my new place. When it arrived I immediately installed it in my 2004 Ford Taurus. But the strangest thing happened on the following day when some character attempted to break into my car with not even 24 hours passing after the installation!! The monitor alerted me that the car was being tampered with so I ran out to see what the issue was. There, I saw a character trying to break in and he bolted when he saw me. Hmm? Just as I installed it someone came to break in? Unbelievable! I still don't know what may have happened but thank God my car is still there in one piece! Thanks to VIPERI STILL HAVE MY CAR!!! Husky Liners Custom Fit Heavy Duty Rubber Front Floor Mat - Pack of 2 (Tan)

I've had these for nearly 5 months. They look and perform well. I think they are overpriced for what they are. Worth $25 for the pair, not $45 plus. My biggest complaint is that they emit a chemical off-gassing smell. I am not sure why (cheap plastic) but they still give my car an off oder after nearly 5 months of use. It is particularly bad on sunny days when parked car heats up.

Avoid unless you don't mind chemically oder.

Mats were advertised to be custom fit. They have to be cut down to size and do not fit at all. This should have been explained in the product description

I've had several Husky heavy duty floor mats in the past. I prefer the Heavy duty to the Hskey liners in the front as they are less slippery and thicker. Normally they fit great and last forever. I bought this set for my 2004 Tacoma Double cab (1st Gen). The fit leaves something to be desired. Initially the driver's side was terrible, but there are pattern lines for trimming it down. After trimming with a razor, it's a good fit. I'm not sure if this is for multiple models, but I would prefer a fit out of the box. The passenger side needs to be molded differently on the bottom left corner, as it comes up over a bump in the floorboard.

Colour is great match. Materials quality is great, and I'm sure they will last as long as my other Husky's have. Just a bit disappointed in the passenger side fit. It's not terrible by any means, but not perfect as others have been. Driver side is perfect after trimming with a razor blade along the trim lines.

I use this in my camper as my only power supply. It does the job great. They don't tell you that to produce that much power will take several batteries. I use three deep cycle and i can run everything except the power hogs (water heater, heater and air conditioner) for several days before i have to charge the batteries. The only thing i don't like about it is, it beeps when the power consumption is heavy and after 30 seconds it will shut off. The low battery shut off works a little to well. I have to run my charge system to get the amperage that it requires to produce 1500 watts or more for more than 5 minutes. Other than that, I love the fact that i can go camping where ever i want and will always have power. Running the refrigerator, T.V., and other small accesories is easy. And it will do that for days on one battery as long as you don't waste power.

The instructions for a GM Delco alternator system are incomplete making installation almost impossible. NOCO does not answer emails about the incomplete instructions. Battery cables are needed for installation and NOCO will not send their catalog so that cables can be ordered. Forget it if you live in a small town with limited access to cables, etc. Do not buy.

I have been using this for about a month and a half and am very happy with it. I have not experienced any problems with interference at all. The only thing I did discover which is not pointed out in the instructions is, if you connect the wide connector for charging the player will not play. Only connect the ear phone out jack.

Bought this radio after using XM services for years in my cars. First of all the detachable tuner sucksreception drops constantly, even when the attena is facing South as directed. i really expected a key fob that looked like it was a copy of the real one. honestly,it looks just like the one that came with the car. I was also surprised by how easily it probgammed into my car. I know some cars would be difficult and the directions looked scary but once i started i was done in less than five minutes!

Works great for the vehicle I have. Although I only gave it 4 stars because the directions for putting your vehicle into "learn mode" was way to confusing and did not work for me. I had to look up and recall a youtube video that short circuits a path between your OBD port with a paper clip *(port 4 and port 8)* and accomplishes the same task... WAYYYY easier and it is the system I have seen certified GM mechanics use. The instructions tell you to key off this key on hold a button and switch the key on/off three quick times...= GOOFY! Watch the youtube vid on jumping port 4 and 8 or print it off its findable on the web. The horn/locator/panic button doesn't work or my car isn't compatible with it or never had a factory alarm setup no biggie. I just wanted to replace the key fob so I had extra set of keys and such. Has greater distance than my original although I'm writing that off to fresher batteries in the new unit. Fit and finish is OEM.

Great replacement remote. Worked well for my 1998 GMC Yukon. Like others posted, the horn button does not work, but that's expected as the original does not have this button. My previous remote kept falling apart. Used some quick fixes (i.e. aluminum foil on the inside of the buttons) but that only worked temporarily and it was still inconsistent. Finally made the decision to get a new remote and wish I had a while ago! Much greater distance and no more pushing the buttons multiple times to get the key fob to work.

I used the programming method of jumping terminals 8 and 4 in the Data Link Port and it worked like a charm. Less than 2 minutes to program and all you need is a paperclip.

The remote for my 97 Chevy Tahoe stopped transmitting so I needed a replacement. I bought this and so far so good. It arrived on time and was easy to program.

Anybody who is reading these reviews for the purpose of buying this product should be aware that a portable satellite radio is not based on the same technology as a Walkman-type radio sold back in 1980s. Satellite radios work by line-of-sight, which requires an unobstructed path between the receiver and its signal source. When properly installed and used, the XMp3i works great for recording and listening to live XM/Sirius broadcasts. However, you must ensure the unit is receiving a strong signal to make it work. If you plan on using it mostly in an automobile (with a live signal), that means purchasing an additional car cradle/antenna. If you wish to use it mostly indoors, you'll need to install the included home dock/antenna properly.

I've had a good experience with the Xmp3i so far. In fact, I was able to listen to live XM/Sirius radio while biking over the weekend with very little interruption. I also used the home dock to record some of my favorite shows for playback later. I believe it is the ability to record programming which is this unit's strong suit. You can record up to five channels at the same time, so getting vast amounts of music/talk on to the device in a timely fashion is easy; provided you have correctly installed the home dock. The playback is flawless and is much more convenient than listening live since you can skip songs, commercials, etc.

The interface seems a little sluggish at times and is not the most intuitive, but it works. Thanks to the microSD slot, you can load up your MP3 library and play your own tunes as well. I was impressed by the overall sound quality from both the satellite feeds and my MP3 files.

The Xmp3i is best-suited for users who will pre-record their music/shows to bring along in the car for playback. It also works well as a standalone device for plugging into your home stereo system. Do not buy this if you want to listen to live XM/Sirius broadcasts when you take the subway to work, or while you're hanging out in mom's basement waiting for some laundry to dry. Though it has a built-in antenna for live reception, the manufacturer clearly intended that to be used in outdoor-only situations.

This is a great little radio. Reception is great. I love the recording of XM stations feature. BUT, as of this writing, the enclosed software DOES NOT work win WIN 7. So if you have WIN 7, you will not be able to copy mp3 recordings on this unit. Why they (XM) have not fixed this is beyond me. I called XM about this, and they are useless. Cutomer Service immediatly claims no responsibility whatsoever. They tell me to call Microsoft! Unbelievable. WIN 7 has been out for almost a year now. Come on guys!

My XpressRC screen went out, and I needed a replacement. While I tried every way under the sun to find a current radio not made my Audiovox, I couldnt, so decided to try this one, since I dont own an MP3 player, I figured it would be a nice backup when I wanted to listen to something different.

First, this is a satellite receiver. Anyone that expects a satellite receiver to work 100% like an FM radio, doesnt understand the concept. While more forgiving than DirecTv or Dish, you really need to be able to see one of the two satellite locations for uninterrupted reception. Im not going to fault the radio because it blanks out inside a house. It needs an outside (or south window) mounted antenna (included) unless you happen to live where there is a terrestrial repeater (I do).

The radio needed two firmware updates when received. They took about 15 minutes. Added several features and fixed several bugs.

XM audio quality on the included ear buds is good. Much better than I expected.

Sound quality through the powerconnect FM transmitter in my work truck is much better than the previous clip on your FM antenna device. No issues at all in driving around out in the country out of repeater range. Usual dropouts going through tunnels, or under gas station awnings I had with the XpressRC.

The MP3 section is great. Audio quality is excellent. Needs a MicroSD card to store more than 7-10 albums at 256K rate.

Havent tried the song or station recording feature yet. 30 Minute buffer works fine.

Easy to navigate. Now if the screen doesnt burn out like my XpressRC did, Ill be very happy with this receiver. I do plan to try to buy an extended warranty for it though.

It claims 4 hours for XM live, and 16 hours for MP3's. Ive been playing MP3s for 6 hours and the battery indicator hasnt moved yet.

The documentation claims you shouldn't have the radio in an environment over 95 degrees as it will limit the lifetime of the battery. Its 5 degrees warmer than that here in the shade, so I figure 120+ in the truck when its parked.

Might need to keep a spare battery in the fridge :)

If the product holds up to daily use, Ill be a happy camper.

EDIT TO ADD: 02/08/2012 Have had the radio running almost 2 years now. Works perfectly. The powerconnect to the vehicle electrical system gives interference free reception. Recording works great, and Ive built up quite a library, as well as put all my mp3s on a SD card. No issues with the radio at all after almost 2 years. Pops out to bring home on weekends, and plugs into the home cradle with an outdoor mounted antenna, although Ive stopped doing that and just use their internet service at home now. Good radio. Highly recommend.

I just purchased this product and was pleasantly surprised by its features, small size, and sound quality. It activated quickly and worked very well with good reception hand-held outside as well as indoors with the accessory antenna (included) in a window. Unfortunately, it is now fairly useless because I made the mistake of upgrading the firmware from v1.29x to v1.31x. This upgrade inactivates the control wheel of the device which means you can't use it -you can't selected items like channels, categories, set-up option, etc. The warrantee says the product should not be returned to the retailer from whom you purchased it (Amazon) -but should contact XM radio. XM radio technical support said they can't help, I should contact Audiovox. Audiovox said to leave an email on their website. I'm waiting for a response. Searching the web, others have had this same problem. I'll wait and see if any fix comes along soon, otherwise I'll return to Amazon. Glad I bought it here. I'll update this when and if I get more info.

Update: Spoke with XM again today. Even though the packaging that came with the unit has an insert that says in capital letters: If you experience problems DO NOT RETURN THIS PRODUCT TO YOUR RETAILER but instead call XM Radio. The XM technician says they now have a solution -"Please return your unit to Amazon, buy another unit, and don't upgrade the firmware." Clearly that will work, but I think I'll wait until I hear back from Audiovox.

Final update: Audiovox's response was:"We don't provide customer or technical support for our XM radios; you must go through XM." So, I used Amazon's wonderful replacement service and was sent a new radio by overnight FedEx with Saturday delivery, printed out the return slip and sent the old one back. The new radio works just as well as the original but with a working control wheel. I love it. Downsides: every time I open XM2GO software to manage books and MP3s on the unit, it tells me my firmware is out of date -but I'm sure not going to update the firmware again. This unit is currently running firmware version 1.29x. If a firmware version appears that is higher than 1.31x, I might consider trying it, although I'd do so with some trepidation. I'm going to change my rating to four stars if Amazon will let me.

Final, final update: Thanks to a comment received to this review (feel free to read), I have now upgraded my new unit to firmware version 1.31x and after following the commenter's advice to remove the battery and wait a while -it works and works just great. Hope this helps others.

Works great as long as you are standing in the middle of an open field and holding the radio over your head. If you live in a big city, XM does appear have the Clear Channel Repeater System backing up their satellite signal. I am guess that is where the good reviews are coming from. I live in a rural area. Took it to the ball park (no trees) for a morning jog. I could only get a signal while jogging in certain directions. It does work OK at the house hooked to the home dock with the external antenna but that is not why I bought a portable radio.I am boxing it up now to return.

This unit replaced a simple but effective charger. Wish I could go back. Often refuses to "engage" because battery voltage is termed "too low to charge". (Jump start of engine is thus req'd to get recharge going) Display is too dim to view in any daylight condition. Controls and error messages are not intuitive, requiring frequent reference to manual. Despite revered brand name, surely there's something better out there.

Almost useless. The B&D Vectors, as many have pointed out, will not charge a dead battery. So you need an old fashioned charger to precharge it before using the B&D. They claim this is to keep you from trying to charge damaged batteries, but this explanation is scant confort on a cold morning when all you want to do is get your car started and get to work and your new charger refuses to! And I have sucessfully charged many batteries that the B&D refuses the charge, and other smart chargers like the Schmachers do not have this problem.

Oh, the plastic clamps tend to break at least, they have on the 3 of these chargers I have personal experience with!

These vector "smart" units are useless. I've had one for 3 yrs now and not ONCE has it charged a battery. I took the initial unit back since all it did was give me "fault errors". Got the new unit, went to use it a month later, same fault error "F03 Open Cell" telling me the battery needed replaced. I have tried to use this garbage unit on at least TEN separate occasions the past couple of years....F03 fault errors every time! Funny thing is, my buddies old "not smart" Schumacher charged the batteries right up. Reading some reviews, i noticed someone figured out these units wont charge a battery if it is under 4 volts. WTH? A battery charger that wont charge dead batteries??? Save yourself the headache, avoid this company at all costs..

In my (current) remote location, a WORKING battery charger is a good device to have.

This space-filler does nothing other than

a) Display "000" (or perhaps "OOO")

or

b) Display the "race track" LED circuit. Fun for 5-10 seconds.

The buttons, other than the "Off"/"Power"/"On"/etc. (I'd have to go outside to confirm that syntax) are "dead".

It does not display the battery voltage on a fully-charged and operational "pila" in my Z71.

Does not do anything with regard to the charge rate button. It's not as if this has a lot of moving parts and perhaps the flyball controller is busted!

I am unable to throw it far enough ...

the connectors and wire are low grade at best. i had a 2 farad cap that i broke the bolt on and so i bought this kit. there is no way its 3 farad i didnt test it but my dimming is just as bad without it. the little diod thing they give u to charge it didnt work either. i wish i returned it but i ran all the wires and wasnt gonna pull them back out.

There isn't enough information in the description. It just says fits "newer" Sirius models. Well, the SDST5V1 Starmate 5 is a newer Sirius model and this power cord does not fit the SDST5V1's power dock.

Item broke after about 3 months, the cord is made out of cheap plastic and it ripped right at the point where the cord meats the adapter for the cigarette lighter. FYI I thought that this thing might actually light up or something, because of the plastic see through top there, it doesn't. Just in case any of you were wondering about that.

I wasn't getting power to my Sirius sat radio. I determined it was the charger. Shipped fast. Worked, which is always good. Learned that plugging and unplugging from power port is probably the action that ruined my power cord in the first place. So, leave the power cord plugged in if you know that it won't drain your battery...probably wont on newer models.

Had this amp for about 2 years on 2 kicket 12inch cvts, this thing was so loud its starting to rattle my truck apart. Unfortunately one day it just stopped working, no output. The light is on and everything is hooked up properly but I took it in to the professional who installed it and he tested and said it was done.

I ordered another one though because I liked it so much, where else can you get 2000w (probably actually around 1500w) for 230$? I think I got unlucky, hopefully the next one lasts longer! How long have you guys had yours for?

You will not be able to find a better amp than this Epic Beast for the price! I have it powering 2 Powerbass L-104D 10" Subwoofers in a sealed box wired in parallel for an 1 ohm load and the amp barely gets warm. I've heard that it was stable down to .5 ohm (which I don't doubt)!

I would highly suggest an 170amp alternator or better for this power house. With my stock alt. my headlights dim and batt. gauge goes crazy when I push it hard. I got an 220amp alternator on the way.

Anyway, love the look of it, pounds hard, and couldn't be more pleased with it!

The detection capabilities of this Radar detector are very good. It has not failed me thus far and it also filters pretty well. I give it a 3 though because I bought it specifically as I was after a cordless detector.

First issue, you need to charge the batteries first time round through the car lighter charger for 12 hrs (go figure that). Otherwise you would need to invest in a 12V switch power supply to charge outside of the car.

In any case, even after charging it, the battery life is very poor which renders this whole idea of cordless worthless.

So if you are not caught up on the cord vs cordless part, get the corded model and call it quits. You'll be satisfied.

ok, the other guy said this was bad but he doesnt know wat hes talking about, first off the sounds is so loud i have to use the VOLUME button to turn it down, and the only reason it turns off every hour is so that it doesnt drain the battery, people dont read direction, it is all clearly stated in the manual, so next before u write a review read up on the product directions first

I bought two of these, one for me, one for my fiance. These detectors work well for picking up VG2, traffic sensors on the highway, and at the grocery store. BUT, I've had at least 3 times when a cop has been pointing his radar gun right at me, and this detector did NOTHING. I even got a speeding ticket when the cop was viewable 1/4 mile away. His radar gun pointed right at me, and this detector did nothing.

The only thing it's good for is picking up the static radar that the police use, to monitor the speed of oncoming traffic, while they are driving. That will also let you know if a cop is nearby. Other than that, its a big heavy worthless waste of money.

I don't care about the lame screen, it's the audio that will alert you to look at it and check your speed.

The frist couple times that the cops were standing outside their car with their radar/lydar gun and it didn't go off, I figured that they were just trying to slow traffic, But no, this thing just doesn't do what it's supposed to do.

And it's happened with both of the ones I bought. You get what you pay for. And a speeding ticket.

Whistler makes good products, but not this one. They did something different, and it cost me $182 for the ticket plus $300 for a trsffic lawyer. I could have avoided this if I wasn't trying to be cheap.(and didn't speed all the time)But why else would you buy a detector? cause your a speeder, like me.

this no even work connect to the car, batteries are bad, radar had it charge inside, maybe the forgato to intall it, to many false alarms, i but a new set the batteries and he shot him self out for no reason, other words your will have ticket if you trust him

i would never tell any one to buy this. i bought it as a gift and when they went to use it , you could not hear the sound at all it dose not go high at all. and half the time it would shout off for no reason. they had it charged for a day and it would still turn off. this is not a good buy at all
