Tsunami RT804P Heavt Duty Ring Terminals (Pair)

Tsunami RT804P Heavt Duty Ring Terminals
  • Solid Heavy Duty Ring Terminals
  • 5/16" ring
  • 4 gauge with covers

I originally used a street wires twist connector which looked much nicer but this is way more practical for your average Joe Blow doing an install. The twist connects that Street Wires sells look nice but this is way more secure solution.

After 3 months of very limited use, maybe once a week, it starting only playing out of one car speaker. For a few precious seconds jiggling the wires did the trick but ultimately it never worked properly again. It's $10 for a reason.

First, it's too large. Second, it shuts off if you have it plugged into a cigarette lighter plug and you pause the music. Also there is a background high pitched squeal. Audio quality isn't very good.

Does not work, can't get anything to play on this, a real waste of money. Stop don't buy this crap.

After putting up with badly designed adapters to work with my new nano and the speaker dock I really liked with other devices this transmitter does the job well enough. All I needed was a radio to tune into and I found this unit worked as it should. I can use it in the car and inside. The service was good and it came in the predicted time. Thanks!

Husky Liners Custom Fit Second Seat Floor Liner for Select Toyota Tundra Models (Grey)

Husky Liners Custom Fit Second Seat Floor Liner for Select Toyota Tundra ModelsPretty much exactly like the last ones I bought for an old landcruiser. They keep the dirt and water off your carpet. Enough said.

These floor liners do a wonderful job of protecting the carpet and containing mud, snow etc. and they also look great. Fit and finish is wonderful, and they are easy to clean (just take em out and hose em off). I have had these is several trucks, and will probably have them in my next one too!

HQRP 10 Amp 12V / 24V Solar Charge Power Controller / Regulator 10A 150W with LED Indicator plus HQ

HQRP 10 Amp 12V / 24V Solar Charge Power Controller / Regulator 10A 150W with LED Indicator plus HQRP UV Chain / UV Radiation Health TesterI ordered and received two charge controllers for solar applications. One unit was installed on a 200w BP solar panel to charge a car battery. The second was installed in an automatic gate opener with a small PV panel and a small auto battery. The chargers were robust mechanically, and the cinch connectors for the wires were just right for the size wires required.

Good success.

Uniden BC346XT Handheld TrunkTracker III Analog Police Scanner

Uniden BC346XT Handheld TrunkTracker III Analog Police Scanner
  • Handheld scanner for monitoring police and fire signals, weather transmissions, ham radio bands, and more
  • Store 9,000 total conventional channels, trunked channels, and trunked system frequencies for quick recall
  • TrunkTracker III Digital Scanning lets you monitor Motorola, EDACS and LTR systems in addition to conventional channels
  • GPS Compatible so that the scanner can automatically select and scan nearby agencies
  • Close Call RF Capture detects and tunes to nearby transmissions with no programming needed

This is a great scanner, with very good specs, has a nice, small form-factor, and works reliably.

I concur with the positives in the other, previous reviews.

But I've got a couple of gripes, for which I knocked one star off the rating: (these are not deal-breakers, but just things to be aware of)

1. The included rechargeable batteries are just a bit too large in diameter for the battery cover to fit properly (the cover sort of "bulges" out). More of an annoyance at this point, but I'm concerned that it could possibly break eventually, requiring me to find a replacement cover. (Using AA batteries does not cause this problem, the cover fits just fine with them).

2. The arrangement and organization of the owner's manual is very poor in my view. It's not printed, which may surprise some buyers, personally I'd prefer it printed, but I understand the economics of releasing it only online/on included CD. But sorry, the manual is VERY POORLY arranged. I'm an experienced radio guy, just not with Uniden brand products. But I still am getting frustrated trying to find stuff. I would much prefer a PDF style manual, where typefaces, spacing, white space, etc. can be combined to communicate point much more effectively. Is this a big deal? Well probably not a deal-breaker, once you/I figure out how the various features work, we won't need the manual much, but it's a royal pain until then. You may have friends who can help you out on this, which may make this irritation not too big a deal for you.

3. This scanner does have a LOT OF CAPABILITY, including some really cool features, as a result, most keys have multiple functions, some (again, my personal opinion) are not as well thought out as I would prefer, ie not intuitive.

But overall, it's a good unit. My gripes are probably not deal-breakers, and keeping in mind the price, it's a worthwhile purchase. If you're experienced with Uniden products, you might not have any trouble at all figuring out how to use it, perhaps even not needing the manual, but if you're like me, just be prepared for a learning curve longer than you might otherwise expect.

When I was shopping for a new portable scanner, I was looking at the GRE PSR-300 and this Uniden BC346XT. Both are great scanners as far as reviews and features go, but I ultimately settled on the higher priced BC346XT (obviously) because it had some features that I absolutely wanted which the GRE scanner lacked. The only downside(s) so far is that this scanner is up to $70 more in price than the GRE and that Amazon dropped the price by $18 AFTER I got it shipped to me. Hehe... so frustrating! I could have gotten it for a better price locally, but then the sales tax comes in and Amazon was just cheaper overall.

Anyway, back to the scanner.

This thing is amazing. I've had it for going on 3 days now (since 5/28/2010) and after a short learning curve (scanners have sure changed), this thing is just wonderful. Its size is great. I honestly thought it would be bigger than it really is judging from the images I have seen online, but it is REALLY compact. The audio is perfect with perfect tone and loud output even when set to low.

I have not played with every feature of this scanner yet, but I am sure it is all as good as what I have toyed with so far. I have been using FreeSCAN to program it and that program has been good to me so far.

Pros:

Clear audio

Comes with rechargeable batteries (I have gotten 11 hours out of them with the backlight on infinity)

Comes with a really sturdy belt clip. I was shocked it was as nice as it is

It is easy to program through your computer with FreeSCAN (no Mac support for this) or through the keypad

The display is informative. Signal strength and 3 different modes are just 2 of the pros of the screen

Rebanding support and upgradeable firmware (obviously) help a lot.

Cons:

Price More expensive than its direct competitor the GRE PSR-300, but you do get slightly better features

Comes with a SERIAL cable instead of USB. Save your money here, folks, I bought the TENDnet TU-S9 Serial-to-USB** (uses same chipset as Uniden USB-1 uses) and it has worked flawlessy for only $15

Does not come with programming software and it probably should for the price

Doesn't make sandwiches for me

You can't go wrong with this scanner. Those of you having a very hard time programming it are probably just over complicating things for yourselves. It really is not hard at all.

I was given this model as a free upgrade due to the one I ordered being out of stock. At first it is a little hard to program since I didnt buy the software, but I read some help forums I got from google searching the model and it was a breeze. Now that I have all my locals programmed I love it. I pick up police units that are 40 miles or more away from me at times. It is kind of funny though when the close call feature pick up drive thru windows and you can hear what everyone around you is ordering. I gave it four stars because the manual is only on disk and is very confusing. Google search for help and your set. Also I use this site to get all the freqs I could ever need and they are very accurate [..]

A very elaborate and capable analog scanner at a great price. If you are a novice (like me) the complexity is a little overwhelming but with persistence you can overcome the complexity. The User Manual is on a CD and Website based so you need to be on your computer while learning how to program and operate the scanner. If you have experience with another scanner, I think you will find this one easy to use and full of features and a vast amount of memory...

As a new and very novice scanner user, this scanner once programmed works very well. Sound quality is excellent and reception is excellent.

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this scanner. I still had no idea how involved scanner programming can be or how complex the systems today are. Decades ago the biggest problem was getting the correct crystals installed into the scanner to hear the local fire and police; today's radio systems are much more complex.

If you're a radio / scanner expert you may be able to program this scanner without a PC, I am not and highly recommend third party software ArcXT Basic and at least a temporary membership to radioreference [dot com]. Reason being this makes programming this system a breeze provided you have a serial port on your PC. If not get a USB to serial converter TRENDnet USB to Serial Converter TU-S9 (Blue) (less expensive option) or the Uniden USB cable Uniden USB-1 Scanner Radio PC Interface Cable. This scanner comes with the Serial connector for the PC. I did not even look at the software included on the CDROM, everything I read regarding the included software led me to believe it was much to complex and incomplete. I can say that using ArcXT Basic with the radioreference subscription allowed me to get the scanner up and running in less than 30 minutes for all my local fire and police and several other radio systems of interest in the area that never would have occurred to me to look for.

This scanner comes with rechargeable batteries and an AC adapter which will charge the batteries when the unit is plugged in.

I am very satisfied with the purchase and functionality of this scanner and highly recommend this scanner!

Pioneer GEX-INNO2BK Inno 2 Portable XM Satellite Radio with MP3 Capability

Pioneer GEX-INNO2BK Inno 2 Portable XM Satellite Radio with MP3 Capability
  • 1GB storage capacity for up to 50 hours of music
  • Up to 15 hours playback or five hours live XM radio on a single charge
  • 1.7-inch full-color TFT LCD (180 x 180 pixel resolution)
  • Record from live XM Satellite Radio, play back MP3 and WMA audio files
  • One-year limited warranty

I've had XM for four years, and this is the third type of unit I've had, and it is, by far, the best. I owned the portable Delphi unit, which worked fine. I bought this Inno for a friend, and when I saw it, I fell in love and bought one myself.

Why I love it:

Size: It is small, and sleek. It comes with a little leather case to protect it (bravo to Pioneer for not making me spend another $30 on an after-market case!) on the go.

Reception: It has an internal antenna that little stub on the top of it in the picture is the antenna. Unlike the old Delphi, no need for an external wire clipped to clothing for reception; the reception is GREAT and smooth.

Battery: I haven't gone out all day yet, but after three hours yesterday, the battery was still over half charged. The battery indicator is clear as well. BTW, the unit comes with a slight charge, so you can "play" with it right away; no maddening "please wait 8 hours before first use."

Recording: Easy to quickly record a station, a single song, and even schedule a recording in the future. This is good for the talk radio channels.

Menu: Easy to flip through and select menus. The display screen is a great improvement; it isn't just color because it's cool; it's designed to make navigation easier.

Power: No need to lug cradle on trips. It comes with an additional more compact charger for travel. Thanks!

Why someone might complain:

Earphones: I've read reviews complaining about the earbuds. Yes, they are cheap, but so what? I've got so many other ones scattered about, it isn't really an issue. I use my ipod buds, my Bose headset, whatever. Who cares about the little earbuds? It's just something so the package is complete, and you can listen right away.

FM Modulator: Not internal to the unit, but must be purchased with the car or other kit. But then again, there are so many of those on the market, I appreciate that they didn't eat up size/functions with the modulator that is easily added on elsewhere. This is a PORTABLE unit. I don't really need a modulator when I'm out walking around...

Memory: Again, I've heard complaints about the storage size for books and recordings. I wouldn't have been surprised if there had been a slot for a card, but I'm okay with that. I've got an ipod; I'll leave my books on there. I'll use this radio as a RADIO.

OVERALL it's great. Reception is good and consistent, screen easy to navigate, solid battery charge, and the accessories in the box are great no need to buy aftermarket anything.

I've had this radio for a few weeks, and I think I can give an accurate review now. This is my first time having satellite radio, and I love it! The station selection is awesome, but I will not go there because I am not reviewing XM.

The Inno is sized about the same as an iPod, and it is really sleek (and slick for that matter.) As this is intended for all around use (car, home, and portable) it is very adaptable. I think it is very neat that when sitting sideways on the dock the Inno automatically switches sideways so you can look at the screen face on. The pad adjusts as well, so everything is very logical.

Some of the main features that are impressive are:

--The recording capability--even if you are almost all the way through the song you can get the whole thing!

--The bookmark capability. You can bookmark an artist or a particular song and anytime that artist or song is playing on any station the Inno will let you know so you can switch over.

--The ability to create a "favorites" list of stations.

--The ability to display the current song/artist on any given station.

--The option to have sports/stock tickers running that shows scores, etc, while listening to the radio.

OK, there's a ton of useful options. Really, I just love being able to listen to what I want on a very cool little "toy." Having never owned a satellite radio before, I am not an "expert" and I'm sure this has flaws, but don't point them out to me. I will likely not hear you because I will be plugged into my radio!

I bought my Inno2 on Monday. It's my first XM radio, and I've never owned Sirius, so understand that this is a first timer's point of view.

What I *love* about this unit: You can record XM radio, and replay it later. Where I work and use the unit mostly is in an office without a way to use the required antenna for reception. Even though this unit claimes to be portable, it still won't work indoors, w/o direct line of sight to the satelite (read see the southern sky.) BUT, you can record up to 50 hours or so of XM radio. You can recored multiple sessions of different stations, which is very cool. I like liquid metal, alt rock and gangsta rap. I recored about 30 hours of music this week, brought the docking bay into my office, and listened away. You can also build custom playlists from the recorded music (from different sessions, channels, etc, mix and match as much as you like.) When you record sessions of radio, it saves the songs like MP3 w/ artist and song and genre info. You can use this to create playlists of a particular genre, or mix and match in any way you like. You can also search for song, artist, genre and play a particular song from whatever you recorded previously.

If you select to listen to a recorded session, it's just like listening live has all the artist info scrolling, etc. If you make a playlist with random songs (or shuffle them) then you do have one small inconvenience the start and end of each song will have fade in and outs of other songs mixed in. This is because when recording something that was live, they cross-faded the songes. When playing a whole recorded session, it sounds perfectly natural of course. Personaly this is rarly even noticeable when playing playlists of random songs.. But if you are a perfectionist get ready for a slight annoyance. One more note XM is perhaps commercial free, but it still has promotional announcements and odd bits of interest (like a 2Min interviwe w/ an artist, etc.) They get saved to memory just like other songs, and you can delete them when you run across them during playback later if you are so inclined.

I would have given this unit 5 stars except that the menu system just plain makes me cry. Perhaps it's because this is my first XM unit, but coming from the MP3 player world, doing simple tasks like adding songs to a playlist are accomplish. For instance, to add music to a playlist, you dont' go to the playlist section go to the recorded music, find the genre, pic an individual song, then select 'add to playlist' from there. If you want to add an entire genre or recorded channel's music, you do it by pretending you want to add just one song from that selection, then when you have the 'add to playlist' selected for that one song, it has an option to add them all. But I'm getting more comfortable with the menu system, and I still am very very glad I got this badboy.

The unit itself feels very solid. The buttons seem like they'll last a LONG time, there's no loose fitting parts. It's fairly well sealed, I suppose it can handle light rain or the occasional light laugh induced soda nose spray. The screen is sweet to say the least. Turn the unit on its side to put it in the docking station, and the whole screen rotates 90Degrees, as do the buttons, so that even on its side the button layout and words are properly orientated. This makes the thing feel realy well developed. The info on the display is easy to read, you can pick small or large fonts, and a stock ticker if you're big into money.

The system comes with an antenna, a docking bay, wall-plug power supply, some headphones and an adapter cord (for using the power plug without the docking bay.) The docking bay is solid, sits at a great angle to display the unit (it is tilted back just a small bit,) and the unit plugs in snug-n-easy. There is an audio-out on the docking bay, for playing through a stereo (cord included). You can use the headphone jack while the system is in the docking bay, allowing you to use the remote control's volume. The remote is great, even when using on a desk w/in reach, because you don't have to grab the whole system to change a song. The headphones are ok, but I am MUCH happier with the sound I get from my Sony $20 headphones. The included headphones are very comfortable, but have only a fair sound quality, with little bass. I've never seen a system ship with decent headphones, so this is status quoe in my book.

You can upload MP3s and such to the unit, which is plug-n-play with the provided USB cable. You can not to my knowledge play movies on it. I was trying to get away from that whole upload MP3 song and dance, so while I tested it, and it worked, I'd rather grab tens of hours of DJ provided music for literaly $13 a month. To play recorded XM radio, you have to maintain your XM radio account, of course.

While XM has something for everyone, personaly, I find that it only has probably 10-15 channels I'll ever listen too. There are 170 channels of course, but get rid of the sports and country music, the news channels, etc, and it has a comfortable selection of usable channels to keep me entertained and awake while working.

While this unit has an entenna built in, using the unit without a connected antenna (i.e. standing outside if you turn in a cirle while listening to it in your hand, it'll probably lose signal. But in a car, home w/ the antenna in a window, or listening to pre-recorded music, it's just phenominal. SO just because it looks like a portable radio, don't expect to put it in your pocket and use it while mountain bike riding unless you'er playing pre-recorded music. From what I have heard, the antenna headphones might work ok, but I haven't tried them, nor do I plan to step back into the 1990's and have a C-Clamp strapped to my cranium once again.

I couldn't be happier with this thing all in all. It's cool, sounds great, feels solid. I figure it was worth every penny of the $200 I paid.

As a side note, the car docking bay feels pretty fragile. It hangs from the A/C or Heating Vents in your dash, it's wiggly, and bounces around a little when you go over small bumps and around corners.

Want Pioneer GEX-INNO2BK Inno 2 Portable XM Satellite Radio with MP3 Capability Discount?

The Inno is my first satellite radio. I bought it mainly as a means of getting to listen to new music without having to go hunt for it, or listen to endless adverts. The fact that the Inno is portable was a major factor in deciding on this particular unit.

Pros its reasonably well made (not as nicely finished as an iPod, but not cheap feeling either). It comes with a reasonable set of earbuds. The XM channel selection is superb!

Cons the door to the battery compartment is held on with some really flimsy tabs, I wouldn't like to change battery often since these will likely break off after a few uses. The sound quality of XM radio is not as good as I thought it would be (this is not a comment on this radio, rather its a comment on all satellite radios the talk shows sound like AM, the music sounds like some low bps MP3s. All in all the sound is quite murky and sibilant compared to an iPod and decent earphones. That said, its good enough for casual listening while outdoors. I'm just glad I didn't pay $990 to get XM fitted as an option in my car!).

The Inno does what I need it to do. What it doesn't do is play well as a 'live' XM radio outdoors. Trees and buildings (or even your arm) frequently get in the way of the signal, and the sound dies. Making it too annoying to use. Since nothing I listen to is time sensitive its fine to record big chunks of music and listen to that instead. Its painless to record many hours of music once a week, or even less frequently, and that works for days.

Indoors the unit works well with the antenna that comes included. Even with trees in the way it gets a strong signal, even when the antenna is quite far from the window.

Bottom line. In the future, when the technology advances and the bitrate improves, XM radio will be awesome. Currently its good, provided you are prepared to focus on the content and not the sound quality. The Inno is excellent for using when you are biking, running or walking, provided you are in an area with excellent signal and no trees, or you don't mind listening to recorded material.

The Inno was a good buy, and one that I'm thoroughly enjoying using. But, stil a few years off being perfect. I'm guessing I'll be replacing the Inno when something better comes along in a couple of years time.

Oh, since people mention this in other reviews I've turned all the available recording space to XM use, and don't intend using it for storing my mp3s. It would be too annoying ot listen to high bitrate mp3s and then switch back to XM radio quality. Nor do I intend to use it in the car for live radio, I'm sticking to pre-recorded stuff.

I drive a lot on highways so wanted to give satellite radio a try. I once hesitated because installing the external antenna seemed to be troublesome. Additionally, I drove two cars alternatively with my wife but only wanted to have one radio (my wife doesn't like the idea of satellite radio). That means I would need two car kits and do the installation twice.

Anyway, I still wanted to try. I picked up Pioneer Gex-Inno2BK after reading those good reviews at Amazon (the other portable one that I was interested is DelPhi SKYFI3). It turns out to be a big, good surprise: Inno2 does not need the external antenna! Well, I am talking about highways in Midwest, so keep that in mind. It does lose signal occasionally when my vehicle passes under bridges. Actually most bridges are fine, and when the radio lost signal it's just a couple of seconds.

It also works fine in the local roads of Chicago suburban areas where the signal is mostly from terrestrial repeater (with occasional loss of signal). I also used it in a small town in Iowa with no terrestrial repeater. It works better than in Chicago suburban area because the buildings there are much less dense.

The location to mount the radio does matter. I mount the radio on the air vent using a vent mount bought from Wal-Mart. If I put the radio on the passenger's seat, it may lose signal when the vehicle picks up a upslope or downslope. Using a windshield mount gives even better signal, but the vent mount works almost as well -I prefer vent mount for its lower position.

Battery life is decent in the range of about five hours. It's good enough for most of my trips. If needed, $10 chargers for Inno are available on the Internet.

Some other good surprises: I can use it in subway trains of Chicago without using headphone antenna (so far I only used it in part of the blue line and I will update on this). The signal is from terrestrial repeaters. In the Salt Lake City airport, the terrestrial repeaters are so strong that I can walk with the radio without any signal loss. I haven't purchased the headphone antenna yet.

Some cons: The screen is small for vehicle use. I use the largest display fonts and then most song titles will be rotated on the screen. There is a bug (I think so) that only part of song title is displayed when being rotated, for example, "Big Girls Don't Cry" becomes "Big Girls Don't". That's a strange software bug and I wish Inno would have a firmware fix for this. The menus do not rotate -if a menu is long and I want go to the last item, I have to move all the way to there. But those are minor issues.

update on 3/18/08: Now I have four more weeks of experience with Inno2. It still works great and I keep my rating. It works well on Chicago subways. The closer to the city center, the stronger the signal from the terrestrial repeaters. The internal antenna doesn't work well enough when I walk on the streets. Driving on the streets is not a problem, because the driveway is away from the building I believe. It is better to take some recording for walk to subway stations.

As for driving, I found that weather affects the signal (with internal antenna) slightly and in an unpredictable way. On a heavily snowing day the Inno2 got good signal all the trip, and on a cloudy it lost signal more often. Overall it works well -I did some sampling (definitely not scientific way) and concluded that I lost less that 0.5% listening time in that worst day for all kinds of reasons. Installing an external antenna should improve the condition, but to me it's not worth the associated cost, time and risk of vehicle interior damage. (Whenever there is a signal, signal strength doesn't make a difference to sound quality for digital radios.)

I found a caveat in a trip east-bound on I-80 -when I intentionally drove my car on the left lane in parallel with the CENTER part of a 18-wheel truck on the right lane, after a while the signal was lost. The XM satellite signal comes from the south and the truck could block the signal. Nevertheless, for normal passing the Inno didn't lose signal. It seems to have some buffer to tolerate glitches in signal reception.

A final word on XM radio sound quality: It is good but not close to that of iPod. With a scale from 1 to 10, I would give 10 to CD sound quality, 9 to iPod, and 7 to XM radio and the best FM radio stations. XM and FM are different: XM seems to have more clarity and those best FM stations more dynamic range. I still like XM for non-commercial music and for no need to search new FM stations every 50-80 miles.

PS I should have mentioned that the Inno2 is connected to the car audio through an aux port.

100 Amps 12V PWM Adjustable Pulse Width Modulator 100Hz to water4gas generator CONSTANT 100A

100 Amps 12V PWM Adjustable Pulse Width Modulator 100Hz to water4gas generator CONSTANT 100AIt's a good pwm. The only downside to this unit is that the board is encased in fiberglass resin, which in itself is a good thing so it can withstand hard conditions, but the potentiometer is encased in the resin as well, making it permanently stationary, so it cannot be relocated to a panel. Overall, it's a good solid unit that runs cool. If I need a stationary 100 amp pwm again, this would be what I would choose.

Purchased this roof mounting DVD Player for my 2005 Honda Odyssey. Got it for a steal at $115 and it is totally worth that. Would honestly pay up to $140 for it. The picture is awesome, the sound is great too, however we opted to buy the wireless headsets so I'm not too sure how the sound is through the car speakers. Wiring it that way is an option though. The screen size is good for me, my biggest test was to make sure I got a screen big enough for my back seaters to see without squinting, but also one that when being utilized wouldn't block my rear view.IT PASSED! To be honest I could have actually gone up a 1/2 inch to a 10 inch screen and still have been ok.

I for some reason seemed to skip over in the product description that it comes with 2 video game remote controls. I don't know why they don't emphasize on this more but this system comes with a DVD full of video games on it. There are seriously like 50+ different games on it. Some include the retro classics like PacMan and Super Mario. BTW, they are not rip-offs either. Most of the games are like hangman and racing games, but there are so many the kids would never get bored.

Only real negative I have is that the directions are horrible. I had a family member install this and he said the directions were a joke, much like what the 1 other review of this product stated. I also was just wanting to learn the logistics of it and the instruction booklet does not explain much at all. If you are the type of person that really NEEDS directions, this is not the system for you. It is for the most part pretty easy to navigate and figure out on your own, but I ran into some issues with something and it was a trial and error kind of thing.

I also want to mention not to take advantage of the free shipping option if you are looking to receive within a week. The shipping was a little on the slow side for me. I purchased through the amazon warehouse on August 8th and used the free option and was told I wasn't going to receive until the 24th! It did come about a week earlier than that, but I wouldn't count on that happening. They don't pull the money out until they ship it though so you don't have to go through that hassle should you decide to change your mind and don't want to wait that long.

Hope this helps someone out!

Purchased this model last week. The directions that came with the unit were pretty vague in terms of the install. The older model has a link to a video another customer created showing the install steps, which was a little more helpful. In my case there is no easy way to use the dome light adapter, so I cut the wires and used the smallest wire nuts I could purchase from Lowes. Also had to purchase longer screws. I found the easiest way to wire the unit is to disconnect dome light and video wires from the bottom of the DVD player, tie the wires together in this pattern:

Black from car with both blacks from the unit (Ground)

Brown from car with yellow from unit (Unit Dome Light door switch)

Blue from car with both reds from unit (Power for player and lights)

Then feed the wire through the mounting plate. Screw the mounting plate into the roof of the car, then plug the wires back into the bottom of the unit itself, feed as much of the extra wire back under the mounting plate and finally screw the unit into the plate. Now the unit plays DVDs fine, but I am still trying to figure out the best formatting to use. I purchased a 16GB SD card and I would like to put a bunch of movies \ shows on the card, so we always have a selection available for the kids. I took a bunch of DVDs I have and used a software package to convert them to MP4 files, but the player locks up when I try and play them from the card. The manual has no details about how to format the files or what card sizes are supported. It is possible the 16GB card is too large for the unit, but it does see files on the card, but won't let me select anything other then the first one and then locks up playing that one. I am going to try some other formatting and resolution options to see if that works. Will update review then, but for now the DVD player part works and IR headphones work well. I did notice FM tuner was static filled for me. I prefer the kids use headphones anyway, so I can have a quiter ride and maybe listen to adult music on long trips.

We bought this because the price was within the budget and I thought the game feature would be great! Well, the kids had played the game for about 10 minutes and the metal part that you plug into the DVD player started bending and was actually breaking (so if you want a DVD player with game accessories, get a cordless one!). The games offered were great, the old classics. After we had it for about 10 days, the DVD was in the middle of a movie and the screen went white and wouldn't work. We tried everything, but the only thing we could get was a white screen. So, we called the company, and the guy wasn't helpful on what to do, he said just send it back and they will replace it. Well, for the money, I expected a lot higher quality and wasn't very impressed so we decided just to return it and will try another brand. So, just waiting for the confirmation on the return and also the refund money...

We purchased this product to replace an existing ceiling mount system that no longer would load DVD's into it. As other reviewer's have stated the install instructions included with this unit are not detailed enough to make installation go smoother and quicker. I have worked in the car stereo industry before so I was able to easily figure out what needed to be done.

Pros:

The screen quality is great, the IR capabilities are excellent and the sound is clear and crisp thru the IR headphones we have. The game controllers and gaming disc that this unit came with are an excellent addition that gave the kids something else to do besides just watching movies. The unit is very easy to use and does look good when fully installed.

Cons:

Installation is an issue as the instructions are not clear enough. After having the unit installed and working great for 2 weeks it all the sudden started stating "No Disc" with any DVD that was insterted into it. I even insterted a brand new never used DVD into it and it came back with the same message. The gaming disc also will no longer work since the issue we are having with it started occurring. This basically has made the unit unusable as our primary use for it is for the kids to watch movies from DVD. I have made contact with Pyle audio in hopes that they will assist us with resolving this challenge quickly and efficiently. One other complaint I have is that the player itself seems to scratch up the discs quite a bit more then normal. I will update this review after I have spoken to pyle audio in regards to this issue.

3.5-inch Magnetic Portable Wireless Camera System Rechargeable Battery Built-in Monitor and Wireles

3.5-inch Magnetic Portable Wireless Camera System Rechargeable Battery Built-in Monitor and Wireless Magnetic Camera
  • 3.5" high resolution LCD, 2X size of traditional 2.5" LCD screen, w/ built-in rechargeable battery
  • Monitor provides Image capture (JPG) and Video capture (AVI Video) in SD Card (Card not included)
  • Single hand operation, quickly hitch up any trailer, camper, 4-channel view up to 4 cameras
  • Color day & night vision camera with magnetic base mount to your tailgate
  • New features - A/C adapter charge at home, sun-blocking, video TV output, USB PC connection

I have an F150 super-cab with a 6' bed. I cannot get the picture in the cab with the camera on the tailgate. That's with the truck off and no phone around. Even a few feet away the picture starts to give out. The unit does not match the picture on the box. There are sticker's changing the part number and company name on the box. The instructions are incomplete, including the part list and attaching the antenna. The box states that the camera range is 100 meters, but the instruction booklet states 50 meters. I bought direct from the 4UCam. This was a complete waste of $215.

A few parts were missing in the original order. Called customer service and they were shipped immediately. Works just fine for the way I planned to use it. Neat little item.

Want 3.5-inch Magnetic Portable Wireless Camera System Rechargeable Battery Built-in Monitor and Wireles Discount?

For an inexpensive replacement for the back camera, I would recommend this to those interested in a compact camera with a low budget, i spent $400-$600 on other cameras which stayed with those vehicles (waste of money). So, this camera, with infared/night time ability and having a magnet and rechargable battery would be a nice addition to your vehicle, easy to set up and use for any vehicle requiring a back up camera for those hard to see hitch/trailers/5th wheels.

Lg Electronics Hfb-500

Lg Electronics Hfb-500The audio quality is poor. However, the solar panels are good enough thus I have never charged it.

This is a slick little box. The guy who claims it's not loud enough needs to have his hearing checked. It's plenty loud and the microphone works great. It was easy to bond to my phone (read the instructions and it's a five minute affair), trivial to use and hasn't needed a tethered charge since I put it in my car. The only weakness, I suppose, is the packaging it comes in (or rather doesn't come in since it was just a zip lock baggy) and the "I think I'm going to break something" feel you get when plugging it into the 12v charge cord it comes with. The later turned out to be no big deal since after an initial charge, I affixed it to my windshield and haven't charged it since.

Size-wise it's about 90% of the size of an iPhone. It slides in and out of a little clear plastic "sleeve" (that is, in turn, suction mounted to the windshield). It slides into the sleeve two ways but is really only designed to be put in the sleeve ONE way (the "call" button becomes encumbered if you put it in backwards ... fix: just don't do that).

Features include: volume up/down (which I haven't changed since setting the first time), call button (answer/hang-up/redial last), power on/off and a (hard line) charge port (which is, unfortunately, not mini or micro usb).

It automatically turns itself off when my phone "leaves the area" for some period of time (longer than leaving the car to go to the store but shorter than overnight in the garage). So when I get in the car for the first time I just press/hold the little red power button until it starts (and beeps with confirmation). After that, you just press the call button to answer/end the (previously bonded, of course) phone. Simple. Effective. Just right.

I found this product to be a great deal for the money and had no problems syncing my phones or using it. Additionally, I had no problems with the volume and found the speaker to be loud enough. The only bad thing is it does not come in the original box, but rather a zip-lock bag so I the idea of buying it as a gift, was out the window!

I bought one of these and it worked great with satisfactory sound and speech, the big draw to me was never having to charge. It worked for about six months then after 4 hot days of 90 degree weather the unit failed. I send it back under warranty and got another one that lasted about the same amount of time and suffered the same fate. To lazy to do another replace, trying something different....

Schumacher XC10 SpeedCharge 10 Amp Battery Charger

Schumacher XC10 SpeedCharge 10 Amp Battery ChargerIn the past 7 months I have returned two of this charger. It stops working if you use it often. I have a Volks Wagen Camper, so I have to often recharge my battery. Both Units Failed after a few months of use.

I would buy something else, Dont Buy This Model..!!

left my key on, my honda's battery is only 1 year old, it was almost dead, but it barely started, drove it around for about am hour running here and there. Then I hooked this thing up, set it to 6 amps (turtle?) and it said it would go to float charge after it was charged. After about 2 or 3 hours, I went to the garage and it smelled like battery acid, and I could here the battery boiling. Put the fluke meter on it ... 16.1 volts!!! I did some research, and the max equalizing charge voltage should be is 15.5v No way, its going back.

Exceeded my expectations. Easy to use. The LCD Screen is great. I would definitely buy again or give as a gift.

Want Schumacher XC10 SpeedCharge 10 Amp Battery Charger Discount?

This is the second Schumacher charger that is going to the dump for me. The 1.5A says there's a problem with the battery on every battery I've put it on. This one charged the first battery I hooked it to. It boiled the second battery. The third battery was a 6V and sparked as soon as the charge started. I don't think the automatic voltage detection works and I think it sends too high voltage even on a 12V. I will be searching for a different brand.

Husky Liners Custom Fit Second Seat Floor Liner for Ford F-150 for Select Ford F-150 Models (Black)

Husky Liners Custom Fit Second Seat Floor Liner for Ford F-150 for Select Ford F-150 ModelsSo far these are great. They fit very well and I continually receive comments on how good they look. I have the gray interior and went with black mats and they compliment each other very well.

They come in two pieces, one is about 2/3 the width and the other makes up the difference of 1/3. They overlap nicely and seem like they will catch the messes that are yet to come nicely.

Very satisfied so far with all of the Husky Liners I purchased for this vehicle.

Also, I did get the best prices on Amazon for all of the pieces and I checked many different sites/stores.

Husky Liners Classic Style Custom Fit Molded Front Floor Liner for Select Dodge Ram Models (Black)

Husky Liners Classic Style Custom Fit Molded Front Floor Liner for Select Dodge Ram ModelsVery nice floor liners but too many rigid stud on the back side. Definitely hurts your hands upon removal if your fingers come in contact with carpet stud. Otherwise, overall a good product. Works exactly as described and fit my application perfectly.

After initially receiving them; I thought they were too thin and wouldn't endure.

I have since had these for about a month and they show no signs of wear. They cover a large area of the floor however my shifter is in the middle so I couldn't get that area covered. The rim on the outside is around 1/2" to 1" tall in areas so it will trap water and allow for easy dumping of it outside the vehicle. They look great as well. My only gripe is that they aren't "grippy". My shoes slide on them when wet.

We installed these floor mats this week, after bring frustrated with the poor fit that the Wal-Mart universal rubber mats had. They are lightweight, which makes them cheaper to ship, but without the significant heft that you usually like to feel in a good floor mat.

On the plus side, they fit the truck like a glove, and clearly does well against drink spills, with their wide edges. I would recommend it. There are more durable feeling mats out there, but this one fits great.

Protects my batteries from being exposed to water and gas. If you are a boater, these are a must have and very affordable. I really like that they are made in the USA! Great battery box for the price. Made in the USA which is a nice bonus and works perfect for my pontoon boat.

I bought this to replace a battery box on my 07 popup camper as I wanted to go to a larger battery. It is a good box the little divider that is used to adjust the space to fit a smaller battery didn't last through it's first trip so I will have to come up with another wat to keep th ebattery from sliding around in the box. No big deal. Like the snap on feature, decide to use a different strap as I have to open the box after each camping trip to disconnect the battery so it will last longer. Good Box works ok

Keep It Clean BATRD Remote Battery Disconnect Kit with Harness and Switch

Keep It Clean BATRD Remote Battery Disconnect Kit with Harness and SwitchProduct may be OK if the parts fit. The nuts that come in a plastic bag do not fit the Large posts on the solenoid. This is the second unit that I received. I sent the first one back thinking the wrong nuts were just a mistake. The second unit was the same. Also the switch with wires attached was wired incorrectly. The crimp terminals that came with the unit didn't fit the small posts on the solenoid. Both ordered I received both had the same things wrong. I'll be sending the second one back for a refund. I will search internet for a different battery disconnect. I even took the solenoid to the hardware store to try and get the correct nuts, but they could not figure out the correct size. Nothing they had in stock fit. It is an odd size. I even called "KeepitClean.com" They did not know the size either. They said they couldn't help. I had to deal with Amazon. Big headache, do not buy.

I purchased this to be able to shut off my truck battery from inside my truck rather than open the hood to turn it on and off every time. Unfortunately, it was riddled with problems. First off, the unit I received did not match the installation instructions. I called Keep it clean but nobody actually answers the phone there so I had to leave a message and wait for a call back. Once I was finally called back I was told that " It is probably an old model accidentally put in new packaging". They emailed me new instructions but when I went to install it the nuts and connectors that came with the product did not fit. I called them back and I was told that since I purchased through Amazon that it was not their problem. Amazon then sent me a "new" unit but it was exactly the same.

Works great however it has a low amp rating. If you are drawing 5amps or more it will melt.

This item is ok. It does what it is suppose to do but I just don't care much for the flexible neck. Other than that, I am satisfied with this item.
