I bought a second one of these 8 months after the first one. Neither looks like the photo, nor do they look like each other. The first one charged my Garmin exactly as expected however, the one I just received puts the GPS into USB mode. So it seems like luck of the draw which kind you'll get.

I bought this for my Nuvi 650. I was a bit nervous since the reviews of other cheap chargers said they put the GPS in USB mode and made it unusable while charging, but I had no such problem. It is a bit tight in the 12V outlet like another reviewer mentioned. Part of the cord is coiled, so be aware if your outlet is exceptionally far from your dashboard. I just had to stretch mine out a few times to loosen it up.

This lasted 8 months before the metal connector plugged into the side of the GPS snapped away from the wire casing after it fell to the floor one too many times. (Those beanbag friction mounts are pretty decent, but make sure to either dust off your dash first or exercise your lightning-fast reflexes if you've got sharp turns coming up.)

It works great. The only problem is the part that fits into the cigarette lighter is way too tight. It feels like I will tear the lighter out if I am not careful.

I've had these for nearly 5 months. They look and perform well. I think they are overpriced for what they are. Worth $25 for the pair, not $45 plus. My biggest complaint is that they emit a chemical off-gassing smell. I am not sure why (cheap plastic) but they still give my car an off oder after nearly 5 months of use. It is particularly bad on sunny days when parked car heats up.

Avoid unless you don't mind chemically oder.

Mats were advertised to be custom fit. They have to be cut down to size and do not fit at all. This should have been explained in the product description

I've had several Husky heavy duty floor mats in the past. I prefer the Heavy duty to the Hskey liners in the front as they are less slippery and thicker. Normally they fit great and last forever. I bought this set for my 2004 Tacoma Double cab (1st Gen). The fit leaves something to be desired. Initially the driver's side was terrible, but there are pattern lines for trimming it down. After trimming with a razor, it's a good fit. I'm not sure if this is for multiple models, but I would prefer a fit out of the box. The passenger side needs to be molded differently on the bottom left corner, as it comes up over a bump in the floorboard.

Colour is great match. Materials quality is great, and I'm sure they will last as long as my other Husky's have. Just a bit disappointed in the passenger side fit. It's not terrible by any means, but not perfect as others have been. Driver side is perfect after trimming with a razor blade along the trim lines.

Ok, so if you have done your homework boys and girls, you all know there is an incredible amount of controversy about whether you even need a cap in your system at all. I'm so not going there. I bought this before I had stumbled upon all that back and forth, pro/cons crap. I knew I was installing a set of dual 12" subs, and at some point was going to upgrade the subs AND the amp (it's 600W peak power, about 290 rms). So I thought I needed one....bottom line, I get NO headlight dimming, even when cranking my dual amp system. I have a 4ch Pioneer GM-D9500F powering two sets of JL Audio C2-650 component sets. I can crank the bass, and the cap keeps the voltage supply steady. It has a cool blue digital voltage readout, along with a ring of blue leds under the connections. No, I'm not 15 and I don't have neon lights under the car (although I think that is perfectly cool if you like that and you do), but visual is important in my system. I have mine mounted on a rear seatback in my 2006 Kia Sorrento. The best thing about this cap compared to others I have seen is the connections are all protected by a plexiglass cover, which also makes the installation easier (no lugs needed) and cleaner looking. It comes with a resistor to charge before using and for discharging if need be. I bought a couple large alligator clips and made a short 2' jumper cable to connect the resistor inline from my power d block to the cap. I also installed an inline fuse and ran the 4GA cable from the cap to one of the three inputs on the block. All in all, I think you can't beat the price!

This is the 3rd one I have installed with no issues or problems. The unit works as described and provides good stiff power consistently.

Nice finish and wire fits perfectly has a flat spot on the shaft wich worked nicely because my neg. and pos. terminals is next to each other so i had to grind flat spots on the reducers so they would clear each other and this way they won't turn and touch each other.

These things work amazingly well. I had to do some grinding on mine to get them to fit. But thats no big deal. The only thing that id love to see change is them not being sold in pairs. It would make shipping cheaper then buying 2 sets. But its still no biggie.

I have only used this once camping, but it powered everything we needed with no problem. We used a mattress pump and stereo at the same time with no issues. I have no idea how long the car battery would have lasted because I left the car on the whole time. What you can't see from the photo is that there is a car adapter wired directy into the unit. I was worried about this when I purchased it, but it was there.

Motorola MOTOROKR EQ5 Bluetooth Portable Speaker

UPDATE: This review was based on my purchase price of $29. It's value decreased considerably if the price is much higher.

This has about the same footprint as my iPhone. It's about a fraction of it's weight. Build quality is excellent. The speaker contains a rechargeable battery and there is a clear indication of when it needs to be charged and when the charging has been completed. More on the charger and that "clear indication" in a bit.

Pairing with my iPhone was immediate right out of the box. I turned on the speaker, went to the bluetooth discover screen on my phone, it picked up the unpaired device, I entered the super-secret code number (0000), and it was done.

Sound quality is good (for this type of speaker). The sound is clear, there is very little (but at least some) bass, and it doesn't sound tinny. I bought it for playing background music on the deck and it's certainly clear enough and there's definitely enough volume for that.

The description implied and it should be clearly stated that in addition to working as a speaker this also works as a speaker phone and can also pass voice commands to the phone. In fact it works just like the Motorola S9 headset except that forward and reverse don't seem to work with my iPhone4 (and it's much more difficult to wear as a headset).

The AC charger is universal (at one end); it accepts 100-240V at 50/60 Hz.

Now for the minor issues:

There's a very bright and annoying light that insists on flashing when music is playing. According to the (well written) manual it means there's either a call or music on standby. Near as I can tell there isn't. This can be easily "fixed" with electrical or duct tape. :)

If you want to charge the speaker from your laptop or USB charger you need to supply your own mini-USB (laptop/charger end) to micro-USB (speaker end) cable.

Minor annoyances aside, this speaker is a good value. You can share music from your mobile device at good volume and reasonable fidelity while keeping said mobile device on your person. I haven't tried the wired connection and frankly if I was looking for that kind of speaker I'm sure there are plenty available that would cost less while providing the same sound quality.

BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews can take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've received from other reviewers and work hard to return the favor as best as I can. I hope you found this review helpful and if there was anything you thought was lacking or unclear leave a comment and I'll do what I can to fix it.

After purchasing a more expensive product from Best Buy and having to return it because it did not work, I found this on line at another web site. I was very tempted to buy it, but checked out Amazon's price and the SAME PRODUCT was $60.00 less on Amazon. That sealed the deal. It works great with the Droid (on which we have stored lectures and music). Great sound and since it's used only in the car, it does not matter how far apart the speakers can be from the phone. Wish it had come with a way to attach to the visor, but otherwise it's perfect! (Especially because of the price!)

This has to be one of the best impulse buys that I have made.

I was looking for a Bluetooth stereo headset to go jogging with at the time, and saw this and thought that might be neat.

The one thing that surprised me was how small it was, its around the size of a modern touch screen smart phone, although about twice as thick.

The sound quality is around what you would expect from something this size, it will not set the world on fire, but it is far superior to the phone and the PC that I normally have it connected to. Setup was easy and the unit connects to the smartphone within seconds of turning on.

As well as the phone I have it paired with my laptop, so I don't leave the sounds in the living room when I nip upstairs. If your considering buying separate speakers for your laptop, this is something to consider as well as wired speakers.

The only downside is occasionally around the house the connection drops, but it reconnects as soon as the signal is good enough.

A few quick points:

Better speakers than most smart phones, without additional wires.

Adds portability to your music from your laptop, without carting the laptop around, or leave the phone on charge whilst you walk round the house.

Controls on the unit, to pause, skip both forward and backwards, volume controls (these control the volume on the EQ5 not the unit its connected to).

Control to make/receive calls (becomes a speaker phone), if you don't want speaker, flick the switch and the call drops to your handset.

Can use as a speaker phone with Skype.

Maintains the connection, with a few dropouts round a three bedroom home.

I would say that these complement a smart phone & laptop extremely well, and the price is around the same as a reasonable set of PC speakers.

I have had the EQ5 for a little over a month.

I use this mostly with my Android Nexus One phone.

Pros: Compact, rechargeable battery, easy to

setup and use, performs well. I have also

paired it with my Dell D420 laptop. (It took some

effort to get A2DP working in Windows-7). Very

reasonable price.

Cons: The only con is the lack of base. (Although it

does a great job considering it's size).

I gave it 5 stars because it does a great job for

my needs, for a speaker system to play NPR and other

streaming audio, from my phone and my laptop, when

I travel. I almost never use it at home.

I bought this little gem to listen to my iPhone/iPod in the car. Traffic noise makes the iPhone/iPod speakers hard to hear. I tried those FM transmitter gadgets that play through the car's FM radio, but they don't work so well in large cities where every clear FM channel is taken. This EQ5 speaker solved the problem. It is small, the same size as my iPhone, so it fits in my pocket or any place in the car dashboard, right front seat, or any other place I want to put it. The sound is clear and as loud as you want to make it. I'm not big on music, but I listened to a few songs and they seemed just as good as any FM radio. I can't comment on the longevity of the unit, having just finished installing and testing, but everything went together as it should and I was, overall and considering the price, impressed with the quality of the items in the package with the winch...with two exceptions. The circuit breaker assembly is all metal with no stock way to bolt it to something solid (which usually means metallic), so the intended installation method appears to be to connect it to the hot wires and anchor it by tie-wrapping the wiring, with the breaker wrapped up in foam or tape so that it doesn't short on something metallic. That was unacceptable to me, so I used an inexpensive plastic encased circuit breaker intended for bolted mounting to metal (you can buy them on Amazon). The installation manual is also poorly written, but if you understand how a solenoid works the installation is straightforward. I've read some reviews that said that the winch was "too complicated" to install. That really is not the case. A bit of reading on the web to learn how a solenoid works is required a solenoid is just an electrically operated switch. Learning that will allow the installer to jury-rig a fix in the field or to make any modifications to the Superwinch installation instructions that they want to incorporate (like in my case not installing the handlebar mounted rocker switch, wiring the winch such that it will operate without the ignition to the UTV being turned on, swapping two wires so that the winch turns in the correct direction when the handheld remote button IN button is pushed). The other option to greatly simplify the required wiring is to purchase a winch with an integrated solenoid, like the WARN 93700 3700 DC Winch basically it just requires a positive and negative wire from the battery to the winch. Unfortunately, at least at the time of the writing of this review there were no winches to be found anywhere of about the size of the Terra 45, with synthetic line and an integrated solenoid. If you want to mount the Terra 45 in a removable 2" hitch receiver, I recommend that you read my review of the 2" Receiver KFI Winch Mount

This thing is mostly excellent as well as cheap. The signal is strong. The usb charger works. The only major problem is that the flexible support that hold the phone up won't really stay in place. Eventually, I found a position in which my phone stayed, but it was a hassle to get it there. The FM frequency is also a little more limited than my last FM transmitter.

*edit. After owning this product for a while, the flexible support is really pretty annoying. If you are the type of person who gets frustrated by things like this, you might consider a different product.

The sound quality is ok, it doesnt have a lot of bass, it was more brassy. The design itself is a bit messy, too many wires and attachments hanging out and clutter the area around it. But over all it serves it's purpose.

I really like this product! I accidently bought this not realizing where my ports were would matter. (Dumb moment) But after some fiddling I got my Atrix to work on this. It fits it just barley with my larger case on my phone, and I just flipped and arranged it so that the holder is upside down and it holds it so tightly that it doesn't move when I drive with it like that, so it works terrific as a mount.

With people talking about it flopping over, I haven't had that issue, it does move about a half inch to the heavy side once I have it where I want it, so I just over compensate, and it stays perfectly. I travel a long windy highway, and it stayed perfectly. I also position it pretty oddly so I can see, and use everything behind it. That is pretty impressive.

Only issue I have, which may be like all transmitters but I have never used one so I dont know; when I listen to the regular radio, it gets more staticy once I am a little outside the city. Even if I want to turn off the transmitter and need to use the charger it turns the transmitter back on. If one is on, both are.

Other wise, it charges fast, and it transmits strong.

For the price I think it is very good, and would buy it again.
