There are a couple issues, one the power/volume knob is tiny, makes it hard to switch on depending on where you mount this. The other issue is the unit is pretty long, finding a mounting location that can fit this entire unit is hard if you're trying to integrate it into a vehicle dash.I have mine in my Chevrolet Silverado, which I use for personal and business it works good and I love the weather bands when traveling out to Louisiana ,when I first installed it I used a 4 foot Fire stick antenna and could not get the swr,s to match so I put a 4 foot Francis on it swr,s matched perfect after that I also run Francis on my company semi also with a Cobra 25 all souped up, overall I like the radio and would recommend it to anybody trucking or personal.Seems like it will be a nice CB if I can get one that works properly. The first one I got had a problem with the mic. As soon as I plugged it in it automatically keyed itself. I'm glad I had the Antenna plugged in or it probably would have cooked the transmitter right then. Second I think it had a short because as I was trying to move it on my dash it came on even though the volume/power knob was completely off. At first I thought I might have bumped it but I was able to repeat the same thing by holding it at a slight angle. I was also getting SWR readings all over the place. I would check it one minute and would read .75 without any adjustment to the antenna or anything else I would key the mic and get readings as high as 4. Thanks to amazons return policy I should have another one tomorrow and hopefully I will be able to give a better review.
*Update* *Update* *Update*
Got my second unit in and it works like a champ. Cobra really needs to work on their quality control because their bad units and subsequent bad reviews will likely start impacting sales very soon if not already. The second radio functions flawlessly and sounds crystal clear transmitting and receiving.
I gave it 4 stars for the first unit being bad. I would have left off 2 stars but amazons return policy made the return and receiving of the second one nearly painless.

Bosch C35AC0 Quick Connect Cable Harness for C3 Battery Charger with Built-in Cable Fuse
Buy Bosch C35AC0 Quick Connect Cable Harness for C3 Battery Charger with Built-in Cable Fuse Now
I bought this quick connect harness for my sports car that goes into winter storage each year, yes soon I'll be tucking my baby in for the winter but with this harness I simply connect the direct plug from my Bosch C3 battery charger into this great harness and I'm done. The Bosch charger is fully automatic so once the battery is fully charged it switches over to a trickle charger to keep my battery in great shape. I don't worry about having a frozen battery or a dead one for that matter. The harness connects directly to your battery, no matter if you have a lawn tractor, a motorcycle, a back hoe or a car that uses a 6 or 12 volt battery. The harness comes with a 10 amp in-line fuse, the two battery ends have crimp on eyes that will fit most battery cables but can be changed if needed, the other end is the direct plug that goes into the Bosch Charger, it only fits one way so you can do it wrong. I'm very pleased with this harness, it saves time and so easy!

This is a poor battery.I used this battery in my S2000, it is much smaller than the space provided but if you follow posted instructions from s2ki it's really simple to install.

This is true snake oil piece of junk. the wires crowded on the battery terminal hook up. I had to replace a couple of things now.Just bought from amazon.com, arrive just in time but when i compare at the pivot website, i found that my pivot raizin is a fake one.
How come amazon send me the fake pivot?

excellent product would recommend to other people to buy good product worth, i satificed whith buy, thats ok, good lookThere should be a zero star rating for junk like this! These devices that hook up to the electrical system have NO effect on power or mileage, there's no possible way they could. Don't be fooled by ridiculous claims! "Conditioning" your voltage has no effect on how the car runs. All modern cars have their own built-in voltage stabilization circuits where they are needed. Devices like this are nothing but a few cents worth of capacitors and LEDs, pure snake oil and do nothing but make money for the sellers.Want Blue Universal Voltage Stabilizer and Gas Fuel Saver with Grounding Kit RAIZIN-V Discount?

Wagan 5 Amp AC to 12V DC Power Adapter
However, this worked great right out of the box. My first impression was that it was definitely much heavier than the Sunforce 55520 and it seemed to cool the fridge effortlessly. I precooled my fridge for about 12 hours before plugging it in the car and the adapter never got hotter than lukewarm.
If you need an AC/DC Power Converter that will power a device upto 5 amps, go with the 5 Amp AC to 12V DC Power Adapter. You won't regret the decision. This 12V 110V adapter worked perfectly to power my Coleman thermoelectric cooler that draws a continuous 4.5 amps at 12V
Buy Wagan 5 Amp AC to 12V DC Power Adapter Now
There's very little to say about a power supply that works properly. I used this to supply power to my QHY8 astronomical camera, which wants 4 amps at 12 volts. I typically use it for 6-8 hours at a stretch, and while it gets warm, it does the job. This supply was reasonably priced, and it's smaller than the similar 12V DC power supply I purchased to power my anti-dew strips.Gus

I tried to operate a 12-volt fan that is rated at 2.6 Amps and the voltage dropped WAY below 12 volts-making it severely underpowered. The adapter says it can handle 5 amps, I would hate to think what actual voltage it is putting out if you try to put that much load on it. I have used many generic branded 12-volt adapters and never seen a single one perform THIS badly!Worked perfectly with my igloo cooler. Had it running for 2 days in the hotel room when we went away.Friday, January 3, 2014

Jabra FREEWAY Bluetooth Speakerphone (Bulk Packaging)
Since my CD player is dysfunctional, I've been looking for an easy way to listen to my iPhone music through my car's speakers. Unfortunately my only options are FM transmitter or cassette, both of which are sad by comparison. I'd be tempted to use headphones except it seems a bit dangerous to drive with them. Besides the inconvenience & the rides with passengers. I've tried several FM transmitters and cassettes in the past that plug into the phone (and one bluetooth). Obviously the sound quality isn't great, but it's better than a skipping CD or gasp a cassette tape.
Wanting something more automatic, 2 years ago I bought a Soundfly BT Ultimate Bluetooth Car Fm Transmitter WMA/MP3 Player for SD Card, USB Charger, iPhone 4S, 4, 3GS & 3G, iPod, Zune a bluetooth FM transmitter. It plugs into the car power socket, so it turned on when the car was started. At this point it connected automatically with the phone, which was convenient. [The only time I had a problem was when I got out of bluetooth range while it was on. Then I'd need to fiddle with phone settings when I got in the car to reconnect them.] Once connected, everything went through the car speakers unless I manually switched it on the phone. To play phone music, I would use the phone screen. Calls could be redialed, received, or ended via the Soundfly by pushing a button, and it included a corded plug-in mic which worked ok but was a fiddly & messy solution. Overall: not very hands-free for calls and still required a lot of fiddling with the phone for music.
Recently I bought the Jabra Freeway after reading reviews & learning that it will allow me to use Siri through it. I've had it 1 week, and it lives up to expectations.
The powering up & down and the bluetooth connection have so far worked flawlessly. The Freeway wakes when a car door opens and turns off when I'm gone for awhile. As others said, it establishes the bluetooth connection (and announces this) quickly before I start the car. Better yet, if I walk out of bluetooth range & back again while it's still on, it reconnects automatically (unlike my Soundfly). So far, it's been completely no-fuss automatic in powering off & on and connecting to my phone. A+
The FM transmitter on the Freeway works as well as any I've tried. The controls on the Freeway are easy enough to use. Press the FM button to switch FM transmission on, and it announces the frequency, which will be the last one it used. If it gets static-y, I tune up or down the dial of my radio until I hear a frequency with less signal, then click the Vol+ or Volbutton on the Freeway to adjust to the same frequency.
I haven't had any problems with the Freeway's voice controls when I remember them, and it offers me choices when I don't. I like that I can control my iPhone's music playback via Freeway controls: press the Voice button & say a command to play & control tracks of whatever music is currently selected on your phone.
I love that I can call up Siri by pressing the Voice button & saying "Phone Commands." It's an extra step longer than when I'm using my phone directly, but it's much more convenient & safer in the car. My biggest hurdle right now is getting used to the buttons. I find myself holding in the Freeway's Voice button the way you do with the iPhone's button for calling Siri. But on the Freeway, holding in the Voice button prompts the talk time estimate, whereas a quick tap calls up commands. So, when I want Siri I need to tap the Freeway Voice button, wait for the prompt, say "Phone Commands," wait for the Siri beep, and then speak. If I'm having one of those exchanges with Siri where she doesn't prompt me for more info (I've phrased something wrong), then I need to press the Freeway Voice button to start up again. Wishlist: a Phone Command button on the Freeway to eliminate the extra step, but it's still a great feature.
From the reviews, I was worried about the Freeway's command voice volume. I'm very sensitive to loud noises, so I was concerned it would be a big annoyance, especially so close to my head, but it's not too bad. It's a shame it has no volume, but it's tolerable.
I haven't had to recharge it yet, but I've only had it a week. It looks like it'll last a long time on 1 charge. Even if it were only a week, it would be worth it for the convenience. It's been such a luxury! I get in the car & all I need to do is press FM to connect to the car speakers and Voice to say "Play" to start my music. Or "Phone Commands" to call up Siri and select something new. This has been an (almost) perfect solution for me.
3/18/12 Update: The battery really lasts a long time at least 2 weeks for me, and even though my weekday commute is very short I use FM transmission the whole ride. I do wish it didn't repeat the low battery alert so frequently that's pretty annoying. I also wish the FM announcement wasn't so long they could certainly make some alerts briefer. Also, I find that I have to say the "Play" command like I'm angry, or it doesn't understand me. And there were a few times when the bluetooth connection dropped, but I don't know that it could be blamed on the Freeway it's been pretty consistently flawless. So, aside from a few niggling annoyances, this really is an excellent solution even after a few months of using it. I love that I can simply grab it to bring with me to a different car, and it's been wonderful for hands-free calls & listening to music. Siri has a harder time understanding me through the Freeway, so music searching isn't always successful and texts tend to have typos, but overall I'm still very pleased.I bought this as a gift for my dad, who doesn't like to deal with complicated gadgets, and he loves this. It was easy to set up and he actually uses it in the car while driving. The speaker is loud, which he also likes.

Optima 8020-164-FFP RedTop Group 35 Starting Battery
Optima batteries are excellent products that nary have any problems, but I will *NEVER* purchase another Optima product based on the lack of customer support that I received. This product shipped from Amazon with no padding at all. It was cracked in several places, and some pieces of the plastic casing had broken off completely. It was no longer a sealed battery and was certainly not usable. I can't imagine this battery, which weighs nearly 40 lbs, ever surviving a trip through the mail without padding.

I refused to accept delivery of this item. It was shipped with absolutely no protection. No padding, no box, nothing but a wrap of plastic to hold the spacer in place. The shipping labels were stuck directly to the bare battery. One entire lower corner was destroyed, broken plastic all the way into the actual cell. Since this is a gel cell type battery, no liquid leaked out, but I certainly was not going to accept a battery with a hole in the actual cell. These may be wonderful batteries, but shipping totally unprotected is idiocy.Read Best Reviews of Optima 8020-164-FFP RedTop Group 35 Starting Battery Here
This is a great battery, however the people at Amazon were giving me much trouble for something that was their own fault. Either way, the battery is with me, although it arrived in a broken box! Also, This battery DOES fit the Subaru WRX, this is the correct battery (8020-164), although all the other information on this page is incorrect (which I found out after talking with Optima themself)

Goal Zero 11002 Sherpa 50 Battery
EDIT: 1/26/12 added a star
Shortly after writing my initial review I had plugged in my goal 0 battery to fully charge. My plan was to check it every 24 hours to see just how long it was holding a charge. After about 4 hours of having it plugged in I went to check on if it was fully charged, and to my horror it was blinking all sorts of lights and had a huge bulge in the middle of the battery, NOT GOOD! I immediately contacted goal 0 via their online chat. They didn't ask me a single question other than what my address was so they could send me out a brand new battery I was pretty happy about the exchange being hassle free! The very next day I had a package from goal 0 with my brand new battery. I've only had it for a few day's now and I'm trying to run it through it's paces to stress test it. It seems to be holding a charge longer than my original ever did. I still plan on doing my check every 24 hours to see how long it holds a charge for on this new one. Also this battery has some slight differences between the first battery I had. I'll try to post pictures to compare the two. After looking at a number of was to charge items while hiking(solar, mechanical, and batteries) I came across the Goal 0 equipment system. This system is excellent! The whole system is modular to allow customization for the type of excursion you are planning. The Sherpa 50 battery pack is perfect for me and my 2-3 day hikes. I usually take a iphone, GPS, and rechargeable speaker, all USB charged items. This system holds enough power to charge all of them. The optional solar pack to recharge the units makes this system perfect for even longer trips. Great all around product, easy to use and with and option inverter can power AC devices.
Buy Goal Zero 11002 Sherpa 50 Battery Now
I have had a Sherpa 50, and a 120, for more than a year now. I have put the units through a lot of abuse including dropping and extremes of temperatures. They are very well built. When it comes to holding a charge, yes they do self drain but mine are usually fine for about a week. Good units though. I have been impressed with mine.I read a lot of reviews that strongly recommended to not buy any Goal0 products. Unfortunately I did not take their advice and purchased this battery pack and a few other Goal0 products. Big mistake. The first Sherpa 50 battery I bought melted during its first charge. I was able to return it to the manufacturer with no issues. However, the customer service rep did mention that she thought the melting battery issue had been resolved. That was worrisome. So they sent me a replacement battery that would not hold a charge for more than a couple days. That does me absolutely no good to have a battery bank that doesn't hold a charge. Don't buy anything from Goal0. There has to be something better out there.I bought a sherpa 50 from Goal0 late last year. I had the same self discharge issues. In a month it would go flat. I called them and they did not own up to the problem and just said it was fine! This model is lame. It still works but will not hold a charge for more than a few days. So I have to make sure it is well charged and then use it immediately. Not what I was expecting.Wednesday, October 23, 2013

I just bought this to take care of my Solar batteries, 16 of them. I have 4 hydrometers and everyone of them shows a different reading plus I have to calculate the temperature compensation with them. The Robinair Battery Refractometer is easy to use and a lot easy to read that the hydrometers. The scale is easily visible with good sides numbers. It only needs one drop of electrolite for measurements. It comes with a very good case, small amount of water and screwdriver for calibrating the unit and other small tools to take samples.Want Robinair 75240 Coolant and Battery Refractometer Discount?
Portions of our heating system are not well insulated and may be exposed to sub-freezing temps. Hence, it needs to be filled with at least some propylene glycol. I had a heating contractor do this a few years ago and watched how easy it was. Since all I needed was the fluid, a small pump, and a tester to prove the concentration/freeze point, I bought this tester. It was the same one the contractor used. I check it a few times a year to ensure none has leaked out and the system is still protected.I think this was around $35 when I bought it, and even though it's a few dollars more now, it seems like it's a tool worth that since I don't have to pay someone else to do my maintenance for me. I can't see that it would ever "break", so I can't imagine why I won't still be using it in 20 years.

The description for the battery tester stated that it performs load tests. In reality, it does not. When someone has a car battery that keeps going dead, that person wants to know whether 1) the battery can't hold a charge or 2) if there is an electrical leak in the car that is draining the battery. I bought this tester to determine the first situation. Although this unit is probably excellent for certain tests, it is useless for testing case 1). This is the type of test that 99% of people need to perform for batteries that keep going dead. Get a tester that is explicitly called a load tester. It is cheaper and will actually fulfill your needs.Read Best Reviews of Schumacher BT-250 Digital Battery Tester Here

Motorola T215 Bluetooth Portable Car Speaker (Black)[Retail Packaging]
Buy Motorola T215 Bluetooth Portable Car Speaker (Black)[Retail Packaging] Now
This speakerphone does not quite perform to my expectations. Here's why:1. It has a built-in feature that it "automatically powers down when you leave the car". This is false advertisement by Motorola. It does not power down when you step out of the car and shut the door close. Rather, it goes to standby mode only when you walk away from the car beyond the Bluetooth range (at least 10-20 yards or so). It is a fine feature if you leave your car on the street or on a parking lot by a shopping mall. However, when I park the car in my built-in garage at home, the phone remains in the Bluetooth range and connected to the speakerphone inside the car as long as the telephone is pretty much anywhere in the house kitchen, living room, home office... All calls on cell phone at home continue to be routed to the speakerphone in the garage unless I physically turn off the hands-free device, which is very awkward to do because the power switch is a tiny slider, or disable Bluetooth on the phone (but then what is the point of auto-off feature?).
2. Supposedly, the device should go into standby mode some time after it looses connection with the telephone (this is done to preserve the battery) and wake up automatically when telephone gets into the range again. In my experience, this feature does not work. As long as T215 stays "awake" (perhaps some 10-20 mins), it indeed reconnects. However, once it goes into standby, in my experience it never connects back on its own, does not respond to any button pressings, and the only way to get connected again is to use the tiny power switch to turn it off and then on again.
3. When your telephone rings, T215 does not duplicate the ring. It remains perfectly silent until you press the answer button. What it means is that if you hear your telephone ring or vibrate, you can answer. If you telephone is in a purse or deep in your pocket and you do not hear it ringing, T215 will NOT alert you about incoming call in any way. This is the most frustrating. I can live with the tiny power switch, but I expect that my bluetooth device lets me know that there is an incoming call!
4. The claim that it has a "powerful 2 watt speaker" is also misleading. I am sure Motorola has found a way to prove that the tiny speaker which they put in can withstand 2 watts of power perhaps for a millisecond, but sound volume in operation is nothing even remotely close to what one would expect from a 2 watt speaker. I found that even at max setting the volume was on the low side for noisy driving conditions.
5. Power switch which just has to be used with this device is so tiny that it is not convenient to use. Essentially, you have to slide it almost with your fingernail.
6 The device has 4 buttons which are labelled by imprinting in silver color on silver background. While it it not hard to memorize what they mean and layout is logical (answer is on the right), the labels on buttons are hard to see if you forget what they are.
7. While not critical, the unit neither announces nor displays the caller ID.
To be fair, there are several pros as well:
1. Noise cancellation seems to be working well. The sound quality is good. People on the other side of the line tell me that they can hear me loud and clear.
2. Visor clip works well and keeps the device steady.
3. Charger is micro-USB and can double up as a charger for at least some cell phones.
4. The device can connect to up to six different phones. This benefitial feature has a built-in drawback: if two or more family members with paired phones are in the car, the device does not announce which phone it has chosen to connect to, and there is no means to switch between the available and paired phones to connect to the driver's phone. It does not appear that it can connect to several phones simultaneously.
I initially rated this device one star and strongly recommended against it. However, after I read other reviews trying to figure out what works better, it turned out that there is not a single speakerphone that does everything right. Many other speakerphones, including Jabra, share the same issue and many have their own. So I guess, it is just as good or as bad as anything else on the market.

This speakerphone was recommended to me by my uncle and cousin. My cousin wears hearing aids and needed something like it. I was impressed with the sound quality and ordered one for myself and couldn't be more pleased. Unlike Jason, I can hear the phone ring loud and clear. Maybe he needs to turn up the volume on his cellphone. I have ringtones set for different people and that's how it comes through on the speakerphone unlike my Motorola earpiece. Can't recommend this product anymore highly!Want Motorola T215 Bluetooth Portable Car Speaker (Black)[Retail Packaging] Discount?
I own 3 different types of bluetooth speakers but this is unquestionably the best of the three. Some give it fewer stars because they're comparing it to bluetooth speakers that are extremely more costly. I do my evaluation based on the cost and effectiveness. But honestly, even when compared to more expensive speakers it compares fairly well. My car is very noisy inside and yet callers still here me fine, which is amazing to me. I also here just fine. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, this is a great buy!Sunday, July 7, 2013

Might work fine for you just be aware the power cord is not as show in the picture as the adapter/connector does add a lot of bulk to it and tends to easily hang up on items and unplug itself.
Description does not say it is a two piece plug, reason for 3 stars... Other than that, it works with my Rand Mcnally 710 Trucker Gps.Got this for my dad for his Rand McNally. The only negative is that the cord is not as long as what he was expecting. He is a long haul trucker and needed a longer cord for his semi truck. Otherwise, it works perfectly.
