3M 16398 PPS SUN GUN Nickel-Cadmium Battery

3M 16398 PPS SUN GUN Nickel-Cadmium Battery3M is a innovator in all kinds of products. I am a certified collision painter . Paint is the first thing a customer looks at when picking up a vehicle. Today's cars and trucks come from plants all over the world and so does the paint that's on them.

That's where the problem comes in , and that's where the 3M Sun Gun is a painter's best tool with today's colors.

All paint company's try to make formulas that will match a color ,but there are a few thousand colors out there.

So , they have what is called alternates and all paint company's supply color deck's with alternate formulas-

examplesdarker ,redder ,finer, lighter , greener, etc. So , as a painter , when a color comes up that has a alternate (most do ) I grab my Sun Gun and use the decks against the car to choose the correct alternate to use as the Sun Gun is the closest thing to natural sunlight.

These guns use up a battery quick when tinting a color ,or going in and out the booth multiple times and you need to have something as close to sunlight to get a good match.

It's good to always have a second and third battery ready to go as these guns do not give you a display of battery life and in the course of a day or half a hour depending on use you may need it.

I do not recommend putting the battery in the charger after each use , drain charge fully.

AVITAL 5303L Security/Remote Start System

AVITAL 5303L Security/Remote Start System
  • 2-Way Security system with Remote Start and keyless entry
  • 4 AUX outputs
  • Stinger Double-Guard Shock Sensor with Warn-Away
  • Fail-Safe starter kill
  • Includes one 2-way LCD remote and one 1-way 4-button remote

I originally was looking at the Viper 5901 systems for my '99 Civic EX but my mom's Honda Pilot had this system so I tried this one instead. Besides being a steal of a price for a DEI unit, the install wasn't terrible either. I added a digital tilt sensor, backup battery, and proximity sensor as well as a stealth install. All of the DEI products worked flawlessly. The range on the remote isn't bad and the alarm has been working well for over 4 months. I am pleased with the product.

Recomend proffesional installer or knowledge of electrical systems. took me 6 hrs for a very clean install myself...to me it was long and hard b/c of the vehicle but as noted not for the unexperienced.. I strongly recommend adding tilt sensor which is actually more important then impact. Incase your car or truck is getting towed lol.. Kit does come with a remote start bypass switch which can be good incase your partner keys hits the remote start but the 2 way notifies you if the switch is inhibting. Kit comes with very long wiring harness but do note some vehicles may need the imoblizer unit added to it... the range on the 2 way is not too bad meaning i was in the back of walmart and was able to still comunicate with the vehicle and check temp/start/ unlock/violate...your able to check the temp in the vehicle and add on window automation roll up as well..I bought this same unit in the store and should have bought it online. only down side is that it should of came with two 2way remotes since my partner and I argue over it.....the 2way remote is not bulky but made of decent plastic. 120 bucks for a highly above decent 2way alarm not bad... items to added imoblizer for remote start key coded auto* +++++tilt sensor* +++++battery back up* proximity *+++++++++ extra hood trigger or contact pin for gas lid on autos that dont have locking gas cap. b/c i'm always worried if someone jacks my car jacks my wheels jacks my gas and jacks me .. : o ) military ready alarm for a economical price. Onstar is good but doesnt check all... yet...

Bought product with understanding that it had no warranty if I installed the unit. That's OK, most of these warranties are useless (I installed it wrong, dropped it, got it wet, etc.). All of you know what I mean. Again, I understand, but in this case I expected some support from the web site on the installation. WRONG on my part, they will only allow access to there web site if you are a registered installer. Can you believe that.

To make the hookup in a newer vehicle you will need the service manual for your vehicle. I don't mean the one you get with the car but the manual with circuit diagrams, etc. I have it for my vehicle, which helped in the installation. I also went to the BullDog site and guess what if you enter your vehicle (year, model, etc.) they have a simplified chart showing what wires to connect with the color and location.

You would think DEI would have something like this on there site, maybe they do but you won't be able to access it.

My recommendation, if you have money to throw away buy it and let someone install it. If your like most of us, DO NOT BUY a DEI product. Buy one from some other manufacturer. It works but support does not exist.

I think any of the sellers of DEI products should put a warning in there description that the product is not supported by the manufacturer. This item was purchased thru Amazon, I don't blame Amazon or the seller, but be careful.

I am mechanically capable and did a lot of research before installing this product. I had to install it in stages due to my schedule and tested it along the way. After installing the keyless entry portion I tested it and worked well, tested the starter function and it worked well. After finishing up the install with my door triggers, shock sensor, alarm siren, etc I tested it and found that it got stuck sounding the alarm... I had tapped onto one wrong wire for the power of the control module. I took it to a local installer and he was able to find the problem and switch the wire. Check everything thoroughly! and definitely find a wiring guide online first.

I really like all of the features included in this system (shock sensor, hood pin alarm trigger, 2-way lcd remote, programable features, + and door trigger wires, "pitstop" mode allows car to remain running for preset time without key for quick stops in a store) Overall it works well and I would do it again. Remote start in the cold midwest is really nice.

a few minor issues of: sometimes have to press the buttons multiple times for it to work (most problematic with non-lcd remote because I have to visually see the vehicle to know if command was received), range is not as good as claimed (approx. 500ft),

(for anyone who wants to DIY, it does have a lot of wires with no instructions only a diagram labeling each wire for the system and it does take a lot of time to install)

The avital car alarm and remote start is a great product. not easy to install but it can be done if you dont want to pay a technician to do it. Comes with 2 controls just in case something happens to the other one. All in all I was very satisfied on the avital car alarm

Duracell Digital Inverter 200

Duracell Digital Inverter 200
  • Digital display technology providing valuable instant feedback
  • Automatic shutdown protection against overload, over-temperature, and low/high battery conditions
  • DC terminals for lighter socket or direct battery connection
  • 3-prong grounded AC outlets
  • Fault-code display makes troubleshooting easier

I've had 3 power converters in the past. Two died because the internal fuses did not blow but the units did and one black and decker wouldn't put out enough power to keep my laptop running. This unit has been flawless and with the terminals instead of the cigarette lighter adapter I hard wired it to bypass the car key. It is small enough to sit at the ready tucked into my glove compartment. This is the best one for the job.

Digital display is useful. A bit touchy if your car battery is a little low. Mine was at 10.5 V.

It worked, but it kept beeping to tell me there was a problem.

Griffin RoadTrip FM Transmitter for iPhone and iPod (Black)

Griffin RoadTrip FM Transmitter for iPhone and iPod
  • Compatibility: iPod classic 6G (80 GB, 120 GB); iPod nano 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G; iPod touch 2G; iPhone 1G, 3G
  • Charges your iPod or iPhone while you travel
  • SmartScan automatically finds and programs the three clearest broadcast frequencies
  • SmartSound Plus technology for clear sound under real-world conditions
  • Flexible steel neck and interchangeable model-specific cradles position your iPhone or iPod perfectly

This is a great and useful product, but must be turned to European mode to reach 87.7 87.9 since for some reason Griffin thinks that they are not allowed to use these frequencies (they are).

On the FM transmitter box, push the middle button (Function) and then press and hold the "Mode" button (the right one) for approximately 10 seconds. When you let go you will see a menu for "Us" "Eu" "Ja", select the middle button, "Eu". Let the device sit for a few seconds until it goes back to the main screen, then tune your radio and the transmitter to 87.7 87.9! Now you can use the device on the frequencies that will rarely give you interference (I have the best luck in St. Louis with 87.7).

Buy Griffin RoadTrip FM Transmitter for iPhone and iPod (Black) Now

I have owned many Griffin FM transmitters for the iPod and iPhone over the years, and a couple from their competitors. I keep coming back to Griffin for their high quality products, which when properly used provide the best sound possible over an FM transmitter (even better than most wired FM transmitters).

Several reviewers have mentioned running the Roadtrip in its "EU mode," which is excellent advice. 87.7 FM is the going to provide the clearest frequency in most locales and almost all vehicles. Other FM frequencies' reliability will vary greatly based on the stations in your area and the sensitivity of your FM antenna. My wife's Griffin iTrip Auto FM Transmitter with SmartScan, for example, transmits flawlessly on 104.1 FM via her Subaru's head unit here in Seattle. In my Audi, only 89.1 and 89.3 seem to work with the same transmitter.

I am surprised that the product description and customer reviews fail to mention an excellent feature of this transmitter: RDS output. If your car stereo is capable of displaying RDS data (used by many radio stations to display station identification or song titles), the RoadTrip will display the artist and song name for the currently playing MP3/AAC. Not an essential feature given the easy access to the screen the RoadTrip provides, but it was a nice bonus I was not expecting.

My only gripe so far is how unreliably the RoadTrip engages with my car stereo. Sometimes, I find myself reseating the connection to my car's DC outlet over and over before the static is finally replaced by the silence of the RoadTrip transmitting on 87.7. I'm not sure if I just have a defective unit, or if my car is the problem. Besides this glitch, it works so flawlessly that I'm willing to overlook that one quirk.

Over all this is a nice looking device The transmitter works well in my Honda Ridgeline, it comes in as clear as any other FM radio station.

Griffen could be a bit more careful with the form and fit. One of the buttons was too tight and I had to cut it back a bit with an exacto knife to get it to stop sticking.

The one thing this unit lacks and it is not made clear in any reviews I read was that while it is true that it pauses the music when a call comes in and plays the ring tone over your car speakers it DOES NOT play the callers voice over the speakers. What an oversite on Griffin's part! The unit is really complete, except for being able to take a call through it.

Griffin if you are listening, I have no problem paying $60+ for this unit if I could hear the caller over the speakers and use either the iphones built in mic or a mic in the RoadTrip but as it sits now I am tempted to give it back. Just an FM transmitter is not worth this much money.

Griffin's new RoadTrip for my iPhone 3G works extremely well. You have to searcha litteto find the right frequency to use, but having done so, I have very good performance on my daily commute with no interference whatsoever. The mounting is great as well. Could be a little longer neck, but great overall.

The numerous reviews on this product and the competitors are really helpful in making a decision; especially if you've tried to buy in a brick and mortar store. At least there are some opinions here. Key issues that got my attention were quality of the "arm" and functionality.

With the Griffin Unit you are getting very high quality. The connections to the Iphone is excellent and stays connected; the adjustable arm is excellent quality and stays put. With unit multiple "holders/connectors" come with the unit. Each one is specifically designed for each version of the Iphone, so you do get a perfect fit. Only draw back is none work with a case on the phone. Wish a larger version were available to hold the Iphone with a case on it.

The appearance of the unit is very good and does look like it belongs with the car; not factory installed but doesn't look like a cheap addition. Once connected this unit stays put: holds the Iphone and stays in position. You can easily work with the phone menu without removing the unit; it is very stable.

However as many reviewers have stated, if you are going to use this unit or any FM unit in a metro area there are going to be reception problems. Finding an unused frequency is a challenge. This has nothing to do with the unit; that's life in the big city. I'm in Atlanta; 87.7 works best in the City. But when you get near the large buildings, especially where construction is taking place, other personnel communication devices do come in. On the roads outside the areas of high density, unit works great.

Iphone does not like being attached to devices not sold by Apple, a few statements come up on the screen after connection; just ignore them or press cancel. I have been able to totally replace satellite radio with Internet radio. I'm sure AT&T is not happy with that; more use of the Iphone frequency. Pandora Radio works great and you do get the functionality of Pandora by signing in to your personal account and the service continues to "learn" your preferences. The like/dislike and skip functions are all available.

One aspect that I have found helpful in improving reception is that my audio system does "learn" stations; in that if reception is poor over a few minutes it will self adjust settings to improve strength. Usually within a minute or two if I have poor reception it improves very well. For those in a metro area just be ready for pops and crackles that will occur. You will not get CD or strong FM quality reception; outside metro areas reception is great.

I gave the unit 5 stars because the previous reviews seem to focus on quality, stability, and ease of functionality. The Griffin unit does not disappoint; pay the extra dollars. Have learned that a unit that "moves around" would be a major reception problem. The unit needs to be stable to maintain a dependable FM reception. This unit simply will not move, nor will the Iphone. Also it great holder for using the GPS features of the Iphone Apps. The flexibility of positioning the unit makes it very user friendly for the driver and passenger. Can easily change positions.

Just a final note, please remove this or any device like it from visible site when the car is parked. It looks very nice and expensive; a definite attraction for the opportunist car break-in types. It's really not worth a smashed window so someone can grab what looks like a really kewl electronic device. Makes for a very attractive smash and grab opportunity. This unit is easily removed and fits very nicely in a small place like a console or glove box. Please "remove and place the unit" outside of view when not in use; it really is easy and convenient.

Good luck and this unit only takes a few minutes to setup once you find a frequency. Instructions are very clear and easy to follow.

The seller says for refund I have to pay for return shipping. They sold a defective item. And they refuse to pay for return shipping!!!

I would like this if it had the trunk or hatch lift feature on it. The beeps are also kind of annoying, but it was easy to program and it works fine.

This car video camera is a good "entry level device", if you are just getting into video recording in your car.

Good value, what you do get, versus what you pay.

The Downside Potential: My expectations were apparently much higher than the functionality provided ih this device.

As I used it, I found myself creating a "Wish List" of Functionality, like "It would be nice if I did not have to push buttons while driving", etc. ie. (Voice Recognition commands would be nice, and probably much more expensive.) Another "Wish" which emerged, was... "How to capture in HD, tailgaters crawling up my trunk!". Some other car videos offer two lens, one facing front, and one facing rear. I am not sure how effective a rear-facing lens would work from the rear-view mirror over my dashboard. Many drivers in Russia and Japan are using these dash cam's to provide evidence in litigation involving accidents. So, this camera is better than nothing!

This is the second K5000 I've purchased from this seller. I own many inexpensive DVR's, 808's and Lighter cams made in China. The 1st K5000 has worked flawlessly for 2 months, easy to operate and the resolution is better than all the other Car DVR's under $50, so I bought another for the sedan. For under $50 and free shipping I don't expect the quality of a $200 to $500 HD handycam. I'm very satisfied with this CarCam TSSS K5000. FBA (filled by amazon) is another plus, I always look for FBA before I consider a purchase.

9 Watt 12 Volt 500 mA Portable Solar Power Panel Battery Charger Model 892-500

9 Watt 12 Volt 500 mA Portable Solar Power Panel Battery Charger Model 892-500I bought this specifically to take across country with our camper to go to Burning Man. I wanted to be able to charge a battery, cell phone, or other light usage. It came with zero instructions (like how to actually USE it!) and basically it is still sitting in the box somewhere in my basement. A friend who is very pro-solar said that I would need several of these units to get any practical use out of it. Very disappointing. We camp often with no electricity and I had hoped this would be useful.

Fonus Universal Car Mount Holder with Dual USB Charger and Charging Socket for Samsung Galaxy S3 (A

Fonus Universal Car Mount Holder with Dual USB Charger and Charging Socket for Samsung Galaxy S3 Galaxy S T959, Epic 4G, Eternity 2 SGH-A597, Replenish SPH-M580This holder was nice and charger on it works great but unfortunately it is not stable enough. If you take a hard turn, you need to hold it or it might fall off. But even in regular driving, it needed adjustments every once in a while. Also, going over a bumpy road or even speed bump tended to cause it to loosen up and need adjusting. I love the idea but unfortunately it isn't stable enough to rely on this to SECURELY hold your phone. I wanted this to be able to keep my phone out of the sun while having it mounted as a GPS. I used it for my Galaxy S3. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to seek a refund and return this soon.

Unfortunately this item did not hold the phone it was bought to hold. After driving only a few miles the phone dropped out of the holder. The seller DID make returning it very easy.

i have a 2011 Subaru Legacy, and the up-front lighter is in a recess above the shifter. The holder and charger are good quality, however in my car it isn't standing up like the picture; it is curved up at an angle and occasionally falls over or gets in the way of putting the shifter into Park. I don't blame the item, I just need to find the right one for my car.

Having 2 USB ports is excellent, as I could charge my phone and my passenger's iPhone at the same time without conflict. Thumbs up for that.

iGo Charge Anywhere for iPod, iPhone, iPad, and other USB Devices

iGo Charge Anywhere for iPod, iPhone, iPad, and other USB DevicesI have been using the Igo charger for several weeks now, primarily to charge my phone when I am not near an electrical outlet. In general, I have found that it works reasonably well, but you can get higher capacity chargers that are more compact for a much better price.

Here are the pros and cons I observed during use:

PROS:

Attractive: The Igo charger has a diamond pattern on the top, making is snazzier than most chargers that I have seen.

Easy to use: To recharge the charger, just flip the built-in plug out and plug the charger into the wall. To charge a phone or other device, plug in a USB cable into the single Igo port, plug in the device, then press the button on the top.

Comes with a cable for Apple devices: I didn't test it with any Apple devices, but the charger worked fine with my Android phone.

LEDS indicate remaining charge: Four blue LEDs indicate the amount of battery capacity left in the charger during use.

CONS:

Larger than most chargers. The overall height and width are about the same as many other chargers, but the Igo is much thicker than most other chargers: about 2x the thickness at 24 mm (almost an inch).

Only 3400 mAh: This is one of the smaller capacity chargers you will find. I have seen them that go up to 12000 mAh. The larger the mAh rating, the more charges the charger will provide to your devices.

Relatively expensive: For the mAh rating, this device is pretty expensive, currently offered at about over 1/2 a c-note. The makes the price per mAh about 1.6 cents. Amazon sells other well-rated chargers for as little as .4 cents per mAh. Huge difference in price there.

Bottom Line:

During use, I was typically able to recharge my Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone about 1.2 times from one full charge of the Igo charger. Recharging the Igo charger took about 4.5 hours average. While the charger performed well enough, I find it to be overpriced and oversized for a somewhat anemic total capacity. I recommend that you keep shopping for a better value.

I live mostly off the grid, and sometimes completely away from electrical power, so I appreciate any tool that makes my life easier. The iGo is a fine device for my purposes.

The charger arrived with an approximately 35% charge right out of the box. You can roughly tell how much of a charge you have in the unit by how many blue indicator lights glow. I had three light up. I was able to start charging my own iPhone directly from that with the included USB iPhone cable.

I then unplugged my phone from the iGo. I put the iGo directly into a wall outlet (two prongs) to bring it to a full charge (the prongs fold out from the device's body on the 'belly' end). Red indicator lights show when the battery pack part is charging, and then go off automatically at a full charge. From that time, the iGO is ready to be a portable USB charging device.

From the charge my product arrived with, it took less than two hours to bring the unit to a full charge, with no load. You can also simultaneously charge a USB device AND the battery pack, however.

The iPhone/iPad/iPod port is on the underside, on the short end of the body. The cable to use with this port is included in the box.

There is also a mini-USB port on the right, long side of the body, for charging other items. I really appreciate this kind of thoughtfulness, even though the mini-USB cord is not included. It is very nice to have the option.

One thing I would have liked to see included would be a small cloth bag for the charger and cord, for traveling. I have so many little devices now that I am learning how to sew my own.

The iGo body itself is a little shorter than an iPhone, but twice as thick, and decently weighty for the size (it IS a battery, after all). The front has a black plastic diamond 'quilting' design, and there is a single on/off switch to depress.

HOW I USE IT:

I keep the charger pack in a Ziplock bag in my purse for iPhone charging when out and about. I tend to be a heavy user of my phone, taking and texting a ton of photos, using apps and the internet, and usually draining my phone over the course of a day. This device gives me a little leeway for extra use time when the evening rolls around, and a lot of peace of mind that I won't accidentally be dead in the water. I just plug in the iPhone at a 10% charge and continue what I was doing.

For day hiking and camping, having this thing around gives me a feeling of security too. Since it's not water-resistant, I would need to use a dry bag for this on paddling trips.

RECOMMENDATION:

For ipods, phones and pads, this is a plug and play tool. It's both a wall unit and a portable charger. It's solid and user friendly. You don't even need to read the little instructions sheet that comes with it.

For non-Apple USB devices, the iGo is incredibly versatile. I've charged up my emergency Trac phone, my Flip camera and my Kindle so far, using my own cables.

I'd recommend the iGo for heavy USB device users who are out and about a lot. If you spend most of your time at home or in an office, this really isn't necessary, except as an emergency charging device in your car, backpack or Go Bag. Just remember to make sure to top off the charger's unit if you hide it away for long periods of time, so you will have that emergency power when you need it.

Altogether, I highly recommend this useful, versatile device.

This is one of those items that's really straight forward. As the title says, it's a Power Brick. However it also includes power indicator to show you how much power is left in it.

With anything that charges, there are only so many times you can charge it until it begins to hold less and less charges. So unless you know you need a full Charge, it's best to let it go down as low as possible.

It comes with an adapter for Apple products.

HOWEVER you can purchase or use any USB adapters for droids, tablets, etc,

I use it to charge my Droid. The USB adapter I remove from the AC charger and plug it into the iGo. Charging my phone takes over three hours.

I've gotten almost three full charges for my Droid. Then it needs recharging. Recharging from one bar takes just about six hours. I've never been there to get an exact time. Plugs into any standard AC outlet. Two prong.

The bars change colors from when it needs a charge to when it's full and the bars go from one to full.

It's a good product. But know the limitations. When you have no power you will get a a good two charges (and some more) until the "brick" itself need charging. It goes not charge through sunlight or crank.

This is great for a hiking trip or to keep in a bag for an extra phone charge.

iGo is one of the trusted names in travel electronic accessories and when they launch something new, most people in the travel electronics industry pays attention. This product fulfills a number of "wants" and deals with a number of "dislikes" of those who are frequent travelers. However as everyone has different needs, it is ultimately quite subjective. I've listed a few pros and cons below to help you decide if this is what you need.

Pros:

+ Less to forget. It's your power brick and your spare battery

+ Folding plug. Nothing will get scratched in your bag by pokey plugs, and plugs won;t get bent out of shape during transit.

+ Holds enough juice for 2 full charges of an Iphone 4, 4s and Iphone 5.

+ 4 indicator LED lights show how much power is left in the battery, how much it is charging etc.

+ Button next to the LED indicator lights to turn the indicator lights on.

Cons:

Large for how much power it actually stores, but that may be due to the folding plug.

It's fat (wide) so it takes up the space next to it. Assuming you've plugged it in on the end of your power strip.

You need an easily accessible socket or you'll really be crawling behind and moving furniture to find somewhere to plug this in.

If it's behind furniture, it'll easily be forgotten = you've just lost both your spare battery and your power brick.

There are similarly sized backup batteries widely available that can store more power.

Overall whether this is the backup battery for you depends on whether you value:

a) less bits and bobs so fewer things get lost

b) How much power you need

c) How forgetful you are.

d) folding prongs.

e) if you have easy access to a socket when you need to charge this thing.

Over the past few months, I've used this traveling by air, by boat and by train internationally. It was always easy for my traveling companion(s) to find what they needed out of my electronics bag as there was less to dig through. I did have to use international plug adapters, but not voltage adapters as this is dual voltage. There were a few instances where we had to move some furniture to get to a wall socket but overall it served us well over the course of our 5-month trip.

I bought this to use in a rental car in Italy. The electrical connection in the rental car was not on the dashboard but inbetween the passenger and driver's seats. The cord was too short to work. It would unwind-stretch to make the connection to the GPS on the windshield but the tension was so tight that the GPS was pulled off of the windshield. The cord was worthless during the entire trip.

Robinair 75240 Coolant and Battery Refractometer

Robinair 75240 Coolant and Battery RefractometerIt's easy to use and it's accurate. Just be sure to check the waterline calibration before you use it and make sure your coolant or battery acid is at roughly the same temperature as the distilled water you used for the waterline calibration.

This is easy to use and comes in a great case. I don't know of any disadvantages of this refractometer. It is made in China and the quality seems to be good. I would recommend it to a friend.

As someone said they are all about the same except this is in a sturdy box whereas the other one I have is in a plastic case. This is heavier in comparison and seems to be well made and of good quality throughout. I have already used it to winterize our inboard engines. It worked well.

I just bought this to take care of my Solar batteries, 16 of them. I have 4 hydrometers and everyone of them shows a different reading plus I have to calculate the temperature compensation with them. The Robinair Battery Refractometer is easy to use and a lot easy to read that the hydrometers. The scale is easily visible with good sides numbers. It only needs one drop of electrolite for measurements. It comes with a very good case, small amount of water and screwdriver for calibrating the unit and other small tools to take samples.

Portions of our heating system are not well insulated and may be exposed to sub-freezing temps. Hence, it needs to be filled with at least some propylene glycol. I had a heating contractor do this a few years ago and watched how easy it was. Since all I needed was the fluid, a small pump, and a tester to prove the concentration/freeze point, I bought this tester. It was the same one the contractor used. I check it a few times a year to ensure none has leaked out and the system is still protected.

I think this was around $35 when I bought it, and even though it's a few dollars more now, it seems like it's a tool worth that since I don't have to pay someone else to do my maintenance for me. I can't see that it would ever "break", so I can't imagine why I won't still be using it in 20 years.

Jump-N-Carry JNC1224 3400/1700 Peak Amp 12/24V Jump Starter

Jump-N-Carry JNC1224 3400/1700 Peak Amp 12/24V Jump StarterIt's a portable nuclear power plant in a box! I love it. With its built in charger ... I have confidence that it's ready to go. In addition to its obvious application I use it for camping, ham radio and launching model rockets. I just wish mine came with protective caps to cover the alligator clips it scares me to have even a little bit of copper showing on such a powerful device. I put a small strip of electrical tape over each of the clips that gives me piece of mind.

Recommend this highly. This has the highest boosting power of any hand-held, consumer charger.

Easy to use, simple AND Made In USA!

I bought the 12/24 jump and carry in 2005. I am a heavy equipment mechanic so the 24v has come in handy so many times to numerous to list. I have powered large inverters to power grinders and drills of of this thing. Pretty much everything you buy now if you don't treat it with velvet gloves its junk in a week. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT ONE OF THEM! I have not taken care of this thing at all and every year I expect the worst; It'll finally give up the ghost. Its been 7 years now and this year after sitting flat all winter inside the toolbox of my seldom used pickup I plugged it in last week and today I used it to start my diesel trencher and it worked as good as the day I bought it. The only negtive I can thing of is the way the handle that you pull out to switch voltage is orientated to the body. If the jumpstart gets banged around a lot the handle will break off. The unit still functions fine it just mainly cosmetic. Other than that....ya....5 stars!!!

We gave it the test. Someone had left the key on the on position on a De icier truck. These trucks are use for deicing planes. They have to be up and ready in the before snow rolls in. We can't be tieing up another truck for a dead truck.

We usually have to hook another truck to it and let it charge up for an hour. Or drag out the charger and electric cord which is very heavy. 150 ft cord.

Brought out the Jump and Carry, switch the plug to 24 volts. It kick over with no problem.

Did do some read up on it before buying. It does have a built in protection not to over charge the unit.

Con: manual say it has leds on it for charging. None on there so we don't know when its done charging.

Go Power! GP-SWR-B-24 Inverter Remote for the 24V GP-SW1000, 2000 & 3000

Go Power! GP-SWR-B-24 Inverter Remote for the 24V GP-SW1000, 2000 & 3000This remote works very easily with the Go Power! inverter (I bought the 3000W pure sine wave model). The setup is extremly easy, just plug one end of the supplied communications cable into the remote and the other end into the inverter, and it works. The communications cable is a standard 4-wire phone wire (like you have for a wired phone in your house), easily replaced if it gets lost or damaged. The readouts are bright and easy to see, even in direct sunlight, and they give a lot of info at a glance. Well worth the money!
