Black & Decker 100-watt Power Inverter

Black & Decker 100-watt Power InverterI really like the fact that I have power if I ever get in a bind, but I wouldn't use this as an everyday car charger for iphone or any usb device simply because it is too noisy. The fan is pretty loud. However, the power outlet works like a charm and I've been able to charge my laptop perfectly whenever it runs out on the road. Happy with what I got it for. I purchased the item knowing it was going to be noisy. Not bad for $20

This power inverter was great for the price, less than 25 bucks but bad for noise. If your like me and the noise from the engine on an airplane puts you to sleep, then this inverter is not for you. The inverter's fan is quiet loud, not as loud as a hair dryer but close enough. I would guess-a-mate that its as loud as a laptop fan if you put your ear on it.

100% recommended, small, manageable, lightweight, efficient, secure, nice, the best option for charge your eletronic devices when you are in car

Works great. Since I use it inside a storage space between front seats it is a little large. However, since it has a flexable joint, it allows more space.

Bravo View IH-03A Kid-Friendly Automotive IR Wireless Headphones

Bravo View IH-03A Kid-Friendly Automotive IR Wireless HeadphonesThe Bravo Vie IH-03A KIds headphones are cute, but are no smaller than the headphones that came with our van for our children's head. I was hoping since they were "kid" headphones they would fit my daughter's head better but I think they may actually be bigger than the adult wireless headphones we have and they seem more flimsey.

BRAVO VIEW IH-03A KIDS COLORFUL UNIVERSAL WIRELESS HEADPHONES

They are still a bit big for him (he's 3) but the headphones work great for long drives in the mini van. It saves me from having to hear Curious George for the fourteenth time in a row!

The headphones are really durable. They fit my 3 and 5 year old perfectly and synced right to my Chevrolet the moment I turned them on and put them in the car. I bought another brand last year and the ear pads fell off almost instantly. I just ordered another pair of these. Great product.

Car DashBoard Video Camera Vehicle Video Accident Recorder DVR - 1080P Full HD Resolution Video, 2.

Car DashBoard Video Camera Vehicle Video Accident Recorder DVR - 1080P Full HD Resolution Video, 2.0' LCD DisplayAfter much research and deliberation, I ended up with this. It was originally in Russian but the manual was great and it took 10 seconds to get it to English.

I use a 8Gb MicroSD card, record in 1080P with 5 minute loops and this gives me about 2-3 hours of recording before it erases the oldest file. Each 5 minute video is approx. ~140-150Mb. Some people might complain that it erasing so fast is bad and what if they need something later; well, if there is an occurrence that you need to keep lock the file and it won't delete it. Otherwise, this is an install & forget device. It's great to have and isn't a nuisance and if an accident or ticket arises, will help you out immensely.

I work in Insurance and this is exactly what people need. The inaccuracies with human witnesses are too unreliable to be helpful during a claim or ticket dispute.

During the day, picture is great, if the sun is directly facing the camera; obviously there is a glare but that's unavoidable.

Can read street names, license plates everything it needs to do.

During nighttime, I personally do not turn on the 2 LED lights in the front, they are bright and don't add much quality.

Nighttime recording is a bit less detailed, given it's nighttime. But at stoplights it will record license plates and street signs depending on the type of sign. It shows the stoplights current color great and reflective lines in the street.

Audio is a bit meh, but what purpose does audio serve? None. Insurance / police don't care to hear you singing the Top 40 on the radio prior to the accident / that stop sign ticket violation, they care about visual proof.

The car cord is like 10 ft long, so when unraveling it, I would recommend not un-bundling all of it, just what you need to adequately have the cable connected and the rest tied up.

Overall, I am completely satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a dash cam.

There are rightfully many mixed reviews about this car-cam on here. At first, mine had stopped working too, but it wasn't the camera's fault. In fact, the car-cam works perfectly fine if it's configured correctly. Here's how: 1. Do not buy a Class 10 micro-card. It will stop working soon after. Amazon recommends it by default, but it is wrong 2. Buy a Class 4 micro-card instead. The car-cam works with an older technology, so you must use the Class 4 type of card. I bought and used this one: Kingston 16 GB Class 4 MicroSDHC Flash Card with SD Adapter SDC4/16GB and it works 100%. With the Class 10, mine stopped working after the card filled up, or thereabouts. After I read some detailed websites about car-cams, it's imperative you use the Class 4. I hope this helps both new buyers and older buyers as well, since Amazon is recommending the wrong type of card. Other than that, the camera works perfectly fine for $55. The playback is good enough for road use. The on/off with the car ignition is awesome too. Been working for a few months with no issues.

I bought this for my car after watching to many Russian YouTube videos. I had problems with it at first but I figured out that this camera cannot handle a 32gb sd card like it says even a top of the line one. I purchased a 16gb class 10 top of the line sd card and haven't had any problems now. It's pretty awesome, it shows date time and so on, really good video recorded. Turns on and records automatically when I start the car. So for the price it's worth it just make sure not to get to large of a sd card, if it wasn't for that it would get 5 stars. And I wish that the windshield mount swiveled. But it's a really good suction cup. :)

I have gone back and forth, trying to decide which camera to get. I finally got this one. CHECK MY VIDEO and you will see that this was a GREAT investment. The Clarity of this camera is amazing. Dont be fooled by the quality, when uploading videos, the videos lose some clarity. HOWEVER, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO READ THE LICENSE PLATES from the video in its Raw being (but of course you have to be close enough).

There are people that complain about how this camera isnt great quality. Well seriously, for about $50, what did you really expect? If you want TRUE 1080p, then mount a digital camera or a Real camera to get that quality.

For those of you who only need this for insurance purposes or to save your own ass, buy this gadget!

My only complaint is the fact that the mount is a bit flimsy (NOT THE SUCTION--THE SUCTION TO THE WINDSHIELD IS PERFECT). It's the fact that when I lean in to push the Power button, or the Record button, the Camera comes off the mount. I dont know, maybe its just me? Maybe I am not mounting it in correctly...

Want Car DashBoard Video Camera Vehicle Video Accident Recorder DVR - 1080P Full HD Resolution Video, 2. Discount?

Decent dash cam, you can easily read license #'s when your within 15 feet of the car in front. Does not offer a very wide angle of view, but will cover the nose of your vehicle, so you can show if someone cuts you off then brake checks you. Within 2 weeks my mount melted off my windshield from the sun. So if you live somewhere south of Colorado, you have to remove the mount every time you stop, and replace it every time before you go somewhere. I am currently making a super glue mount to my dash to put it back in working order (I don't care about ruining the dash). The cord will reach from anywhere inside the vehicle. Make sure you order a large SD card, I have a 4 GB in and get about 7, 5 min "1080p" (note: not really 1080p) loops.

My only frustration is that the charger does not show when the unit is fully charged, like having its' green light turn off or give me an idea in some instructions how long a full charge will take. However since I am using this for the Magellan 1340 that fault might also lie within the Magellan. I wish the information that the unit cannot be overcharged was listed in an instruction sheet that should be included .

I received a GPS from my employeer for my 30th year. It only had a auto power adapter. I looked on the OEM site for an home power adapter and couldn't believe how much they wanted. Looked on Amazon for a home power adapter and found this for about one-tenth what the OEM wanted for their adapter. The price was right so I thought I'd give it a shot and see if it worked. Sure enough, I can finally recharge my GPS in the house. Great Product.

plugged it into my new magellan 1470 and it started charging. for under 2 bucks I'm impressed. now I can charge it up without draining my car battery and use it at the same time. nice!

also, you have to have your magellan fully charged to do updates. if the unit is not fully charged before doing and update you risk bricking the unit.

New Potato Technologies TuneLink Auto Bluetooth in Car Stereo Wireless Adapter for Android (Black)

New Potato Technologies TuneLink Auto Bluetooth in Car Stereo Wireless Adapter for Android - 1001-01002DThis is a great product and worked out of the box. I tried it with a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and an Asus Transformer prime. We have Apple and Droid devices in our family, but I found that I could not pair an Apple iTouch with this device. On contacting New Potato support, I was told:

"If you want to use TuneLink for both Android and Apple devices, you need to be using the Apple version of TuneLink. From a hardware standpoint, these 2 are virtually identical, but the Android version is missing some parts that allow it to communicate with Apple devices."

So now I have to return this and buy the other version which is annoying.

Hopefully this will help others choose the correct version.

I have used TuneLink Android with both the AUX out and the FM Transmitter, and I think both sound excellent. The AUX obviously is more clear and the way to go if you have an input in your car, but the FM is great as well. In response to the other reviews on here that talk about a "lisp" sound or distorted "S" sounds, all you have to do if this is happening is turn the phone's volume down a few clicks. The FM volume is a bit boosted when the phone is turned all the way up, and for loud material, I noticed the same thing until I turned it down. The little boost is great though when listening to audiobooks or spoken word that is quiter though...

All in all, great product!

Buy New Potato Technologies TuneLink Auto Bluetooth in Car Stereo Wireless Adapter for Android (Black) Now

I read reviews before purchasing this unit and they indicated this is the best quality FM transmitter to produce almost broadcast quality sound. I did not find that to be the case. I have returned it. I'm also surprised by the written return policy of the vendor. It states a refund will be subject to fees if the product is not returned unopened. How the blazes can you know if it works properly and is worth the money, unless you do open and try it? It was the most expensive unit of the ones I was considering, so I expected it to be at least satisfactory in sound quality, but it wasn't. It produced a static "lisp" type of sound on all high frequency sounds such as a cymbal strike or anything with an "S" sound in a word.

Update. Even though my package was returned and it was obviously opened, since I returned it for reasons of dissatisfaction, I did get a full refund.

Read Best Reviews of New Potato Technologies TuneLink Auto Bluetooth in Car Stereo Wireless Adapter for Android (Black) Here

I really, really want to like this device. And when it works, it's fantastic. I use the line-out (not the FM transmitter) and the sound quality is great.

But that's only part of the story. I've been through three of these since I bought mine. The first two had a thermal issue that would cause them to stop working, which is a problem considering this thing is going to sit outside in your car. New Potato did replace them, but it cost me about $10 to ship it back every time.

The real problem, though, is that for some reason my Galaxy Nexus and this thing don't play nice. They will connect every time, but eventually the A2DP will break down and the audio won't work. Sometimes it's enough to unplug the Tunelink and plug it back in, sometimes I have to turn Bluetooth off and back on on the phone, and sometimes I have to do both. Then other times I have to unplug the Tunelink and turn the phone off and on. I have no idea who's fault it is, but it basically makes the device useless.

New Potato spent time helping me, but the last email I got from them was "hey, we have no idea. There's another guy with a Galaxy Nexus but he says it's fine". I was hoping the update to Android 4.0.4 would help, but it didn't.

Automatic Bluetooth connecting and Audio Quality...

The first pairing was simple and setup was done in less than 2 minutes. Note: Be sure that when you plug the receiver device in to the power adapter of your truck you make sure you pick one that that cycles the power with the key on/off. Turning the key on and giving it power is what tells it to start looking for the paired phone. In my Nissan this is in the Arm console. When I start the truck it powers the device, the device automatically looks for the phone and connects within 10 seconds all without any user input (VERY NICE!!!). When I turn off the truck it automatically pauses the MP3 playback. With the receiver device being in the arm console I was worried that I might have reception issues or audio quality loss. However being in the console I had no issues with the wireless connection or quality. Audio quality is as good as a direction wire connection. I use the AUX jack on my stereo to connect the receiver to my stereo. As such I did not test the FM transmitter.

Automatic Media Playback...

Using the latest version of their TuneLink app from the Google Playstore Market the app allows you to pick a default MP3 or Music playback program. If you install this app and pick a default music app the phone will still do all of the above Bluetooth connecting automatically, PLUS it will automatically start/resume playback of the last MP3 you were playing, right where you left off. For me this worked perfectly the first time. However after it resumed, my phone displayed an error that the TuneLink app has stopped working. After that crash the auto playback resume feature no longer worked without manual help from me. This could be that the app is not playing nicely with my Samsung Note II. The auto pause when turning the truck off works with or without the app on my phone.

Overview...

This product is exactly what I was looking for: Get in to my truck and have the phone automatically connect to the audio system. I am very pleased with this device and find it worth the few extra bucks you might pay over some similar devices that don't offer the automatic connect feature. NOTE: The above auto connect assumes you have bluetooth turned on, on your phone.

One final note...

This unit is NOT for people looking to create an option for Bluetooth hands-free phone conversations. Unlike some similar devices this product only supports media over Bluetooth. My truck already has a Bluetooth hands-free option for talking on the phone, so that is not something I need. If you already have hands-free in your car this device works perfectly in conjunction with you current hands-free and will even pause the music while you take a call through your cars hands-free system. But if hands-free phone calls is something that you are looking to get from this device, then you need to look for a different product such as the Belkin Bluetooth Truck Hands-Free Kit which offers both Media and Phone calls over Bluetooth but does not support the automatic connection like this device does.

Right out of the box, the AV inputs did not work. The User Manual is such a poor translation, that it is of no help. There is no information on the AV inputs beyond what they are; however, the "Mute" function is defined as "Open/close the trumpet sound output cabin machine, note AV output don't mute." Apparently the same care and attention was given to the assembly of the device as was given to the translation for the User Manual. Jim L.

I bought this for a Christmas present for my husband. We have a basic bass boat and just wanted some music for fishing and what not...He installed this and it works awesome! He loves it too. Sound is really good (its actually louder then we expected) and its just what we wanted. Some people wrote that the speakers were "ok" but I think they are just fine. No complaints and we have enjoyed it so much. Would recommend!

This radio works great in my pontoon! I was expecting a $100 radio and what I got was something much more! I am very impressed with how well this radio works. It sounds great as I added the 2 speakers to my existing speakers so now there are 4 hooked up! Plenty of power and range! Would definitely buy again for different boat! Very happy for the the money spent and I am an Audiophile. My cars are all JL Audio and Eclipse and Alpine decks and I just didn't want to spend that money on a boat that is used 25 times a year.

This deck never worked right from the get go. The CD player would not load CD's. Trying to load any disc resulted in just a clicking sound from inside the deck. This is funny because the reason I bought the deck was to replace another Dual Marine Stereo that wouldn't load CD's either.

Also, the USB functionality does not work right. It read and started playing a USB flash drive that I inserted, but stopped after about three songs. It then started scanning through all the folders (but not playing anything). After a minute or so of this scanning, it just plain refused to read from the USB drive at all. I tried 4 other flash drives with the same result.

So, this one is going back and I'm going to look for something from a more reputable manufacturer.

First off the speakers said they were rated at 50 watts. When I got them I noticed stamped on the back of the speaker was 20w. Sure enough after I hooked them up they sounded tiny and distorted quickly. I do not see how this is a marine grade radio either. All they did was wrap it in black tape which you end up popping a hole in when you take it out of the sleeve with the puller tool. The is not a power constant so I lose all my settings every time I turn it off. Not to mention every time I turn it on it ejects the CD. Falsely advertised because it is CHEAP. You might as well by cheap speakers and stereo that are not marine grade and they will be of better quality than this and will probably be more durable.

GNS 5870 MFI GPS BT Receiver for iPod, iPhone and iPad

GNS 5870 MFI GPS BT Receiver for iPod, iPhone and iPad
  • First Apple certified Bluetooth GPS receiver
  • Made for iPod iPhone iPad
  • compatible to iPod touch 2G+3G, iPhone 3G+3GS+4, iPad
  • supplies also GPS information to PDA, handhelds and notebooks
  • high sensitive 32 channel GPS

Like some, I bought the Wi-Fi only iPad because I specifically didn't want the 3G capability. But in hindsight, I did miss at least the GPS capability. So to make up for my "remorse", I ordered the external bluetooth GNS 5870. It pairs quickly with the iPad buetooth and locked on to 6 satellites (based on one app's notification) through a large upstairs window in about 2 or 3 minutes. It was a little faster I believe through my car windshield. And it stayed locked on even after walking briefly into a shopping mall with it in my shirt pocket. How accurate? Two iPad apps say accuracy is within 30 feet but this reading is through an apartment window. The accuracy of Wi-Fi only was reported as 213 feet. But the GNS 5870 works very well all by itself and thats why five stars. I would not rate it less just because the "touch and slide" on and off is slightly finicky and can be unexpectedly activated by certain movements within a coat pocket etc. Its very portable at 1 3/4 x 3 inches and has a nice rubberized body except for the 1/2 inch wide plastic touch strip. The total GNS 5870 cost at $160.00, means I'm paying about $30.00 more than the iPad 3G model would have cost.

None of my views would matter though, if the GNS 5870 cannot work with the few iPad mapping, navigation, and GPS apps that are compatible with the Wi-Fi only iPad. So I discuss these apps not as an endorsement, but just to show that the GNS 5870 does work well without Wi-Fi and with no extra expense of a 3G data plan. It should be noted however, that this does not replace the usefulness or maybe the overall accuracy of the iPad 3G, as the iPad 3G has three modes of triangulation: Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS, which provide navigation assistance when some of the modes like satellite are not available. My uses however, may be in areas of no Wi-Fi and no cell towers. In this case, my Wi-Fi only IPad with the GNS 5870 will probably be as useful as the 3G model.

That said, I have tried all the following apps riding in my car with the GNS 5870 resting on the dash. The device tracks fine with the following apps that store map data internally in the iPad: Topo Maps, MotionX GPS HD and the iPhone app Navigon MyRegion. It also works fine with the iPad Google Maps but only in "classic" and "terrain" views. This is because Google's map base is not stored internally in the iPad and must be first accessed on the fly through Wi-Fi. The "satellite" and "hybrid" views are too large I believe to be cached in the app itself. For the same reasons, the GNS 5870 does not play well with Google Earth because the app does not store large data fields internally. But smaller, less memory intensive map areas and routes in Google Maps ("classic" and "terrain") can be cached and used later using only the GNS 5870. These are erased from the cache however after any changes are made. The GNS 5870 works and tracks with the app Big World although this app also uses the Google Maps data base and I'm not sure how much of that map base is stored internally.

But if you are having Wi-Fi only iPad "buyers remorse", and you still want GPS, this is one excellent way to go. And if I get lost 30 feet from where I want to go then I'm in big trouble anyway.

Buy GNS 5870 MFI GPS BT Receiver for iPod, iPhone and iPad Now

The GNS 5870 was purchased to add true functionality to the iPad Foreflight App in the cockpit. Since day one, it has preformed flawlessly on all domestic and international flights. It allows the iPad to be used in several different areas of the aircraft without any degregation to the quality of the GPS Signal. Additionally, I have not encountered any problems turning the device on and off as has been mentioned in other reviews. I wholeheartedly recommend this device to fellow pilots without hesitation.

I purchased this GPS for my WiFi Apple iPad and even though my emails said the expected delivery day would be more then a month ahead of my order date, I recieved it within a few days (it took some time to get to the US from Germany). The initial setup with my iPad worked flawlessly and I was able to pickup an extremely accurate GPS signal lock within seconds using the Maps app that shipped with the iPad. I was very impressed ... Until I couldn't shut the unit off. It worked a couple of times turning on and off, but now I am unable to just swipe my finger across the touch sensor to shut it off. Without a real switch, I'm stuck waiting for a reply from their email team as to what I should do to resolve the problem.

Otherwise it works great. I have tested it using the Maps app, Google Earth, and WiFiFoFum (yes, I snagged this lovely app from the app store when it was still available, no jailbreak here ;). I'd rank it a 5 star if the switch would still be working after less then a day of testing it.

Want GNS 5870 MFI GPS BT Receiver for iPod, iPhone and iPad Discount?

I'm a Flight Test Engineer by trade. IF the GNS 5870 were a piece of equipment in an airliner cockpit, it would be considered non-certifiable per FAR 25.1301(d). Granted, it's NOT a piece of equipment in an airplane cockpit, but that's where a lot of people who buy this device (myself included) will try to use it. So buyer beware. When I purchased the device, the Bad Elf was all the rage and this really sounded like a better product. I read the reviews For and Against, including several anecdotal descriptions about a quirky power switch. Admittedly, I chuckled at the thought of some who idiot couldn't get shut his device off. The day I got the device, I had ZERO problems switching the device on and off. "Swipe On, Swipe Off" I couldn't believe people were having problems simply swiping their finger across the device. It seemed ridiculously easy. Call it beginner's luck because the next day after my first flight with the device I had a couple of "mis-swipes." OK, Nothing to be concerned about. I'm sure even the swiftest of finger swipers occasionally need to recalibrate their digits. ---To digress for a second, in terms of Bluetooth/GPS performance, the until synched instantly with my iPad and to use it with Foreflight HD is a thing of beauty. It captured a signal quickly, tracked very well and I was wowed. ----My next flight with the device required a fuel stop. Parked at the pumps, I tried to turn it off and it wouldn't. 10 20 30 swipes of varying pressures and nada. I took a deep breath, shook out my hand and tried again with a very very light touch and again and again and again and still couldn't get it to shut off. Frustrated, I left the device on while I refueled and dined on my $100 hamburger. Returning to the plane, I swiped once more just for the hell of itand it magically went off. Of course, now I was getting ready to fly again and needed to turn it back on. It took me 30 finger swipes to coax it back on. The I flew home and had to turn it off again. Let's not go there. This frustrating sequence of events now describes every flight on which I attempt to use the GNS 5870. I've now got over 50 flight hours of use on the thing (and calluses on my fingertips).

This of course assumes that the unit is fully charged. As difficult as the unit is to turn off, I find that when stowed / transported inside a protective case itself in my flight bag, all it takes is a mosquito fart's worth of pressure to bump the switch, turn the device on and drain the battery just in time for my next flight in IMC.

I must admit, the next point of contention could be true of any bluetooth device. Using the supplied suction cup holder, I fixed the GNS 5870 to the upper windshield of a C-172 and while flying found that the device spat out some rather interesting EMI that caused my glareshield-mounted magnetic compass to oscillate 30 degrees in each direction. Relocating the GNS 5870 to a side window eliminates this problem.

Lastly, I've also been unable to acquire a GPS signal whatsoever while flying in the cockpit of transport category airplanes. This blocking of the GPS signal is generally attributed to these airplane's heated windshield wiring/circuitry. Interestingly enough, the makers of the XGPS150 bluetooth GPS receiver have issued a firmware update to correct this issue in their device. This coupled with their device using a revolutionary concept known as "The Simple On/Off Button" (something the GNS 5870 designers apparently have never heard of) are two reasons why I've just ordered an XGPS150 to replace my GNS 5870.

I was extremely disappointed to find that my GNS 5870 did not work when it arrived. The unit employs a "touch-swipe" on-off switch which requires the user to run his/her finger over the LED screen in order to turn it on and off. However, the unit required several dozen swipes to turn off, and will not turn back on no matter how many times I swipe it.

Contacting the manufacturer, I was advised that I must send the unit back to a service center for a firmware update.

I am disappointed on three dimensions: 1.) in the design of the product, which represents a triumph of design sizzle over functionality: what genius decided that a fancy swipe mechanism was better than a just-plain on-off switch to power the unit? 2.) that a brand-new unit was shipped directly from the manufacturer without current firmware; and 3.) the firmware is not easily updatable directly through the USB port (though since the unit won't turn on, I won't protest too loudly about this).

I'm excited about the functionality of this unit as a supplement to ForeFlight on my iPad in an airplane cockpit. But the actual arrival of the device was a big letdown.

RCA RFMT10R FM Transmitter for MP3 Players

RCA RFMT10R FM Transmitter for MP3 Players
  • Ideal for MP3 players or audio devices with a 3.5mm audio plug
  • 4-selectable channels available
  • 26" cord for ease of use and range
  • DC powered via standard 12V accessory outlet-does not require batteries
  • 1-year limited warranty

This product is terrible! I plugged it into my mp3 player and I got lots of static. I kept having to twist around the wire to get the music to play, and it still had lots of static. I tried all four stations and it was the same for each. Not worth buying! I am sending mine back!!!

Buy RCA RFMT10R FM Transmitter for MP3 Players Now

This product does work well in my car. The music plays well, but I do hear static from time to time. I do not hear too much static though only a little bit and only sometimes. The only PROBLEM with this transmitter is that the volume is not loud enough. Other stations play louder than the transmitter station. I don't know if it is due to the transmitter or if the radio station just doesn't offer high sound. But I do know that my radio and mp3 are both turned up to max volume and the music just sounds minimum. This was sort of a problem to me because I like my music loud. All-in-all it works pretty well with a little static. It just isn't loud enough.

p.s. I bought this because my car has no cd player and the cassette player is broken and I was sick of listening to the radio.

Kastar B10A 5/16" Side Terminal Battery Wrench

Kastar B10A 5/16' Side Terminal Battery WrenchIt's just what you need for disconnecting the battery before parking for long periods. Keep it in you glove box, no more looking around for the right size because it's a perfect fit....no stripping the small square head of your battery terminal. I frequently park my truck for a month or more and keep this handy for disconnecting the negative terminal so my battery doesn't drain while I'm gone.

I got this tool for removing the battery in my rv as it is in a tight spot. It seems to do the trick pretty well. I found the same tool for half the price at an auto parts store about a month later,

Quality side terminal wrench made in Racine WI. Quality build, great ratchet reverse / forward lever feature. Would highly recommend over others.

I am sure this would work on some cars with side terminals, but the side terminals I tried it on had a splined end which did not allow me to use the wrench, since the wrench has to go down over the nut...the spline would not allow it to do that.

So, I cannot say that it worked well, only that I would think it would work okay.

I got this extra charger. The only thing that worked is the wall adapter itself. The USB retractable cable did not work! I also tried with different computers, laptops USB ports and different locations for outlet (home, work, hotel) and the same message: "device not supported" came up. I used it for my Iphone 3S, and Ipod touch without success. Not recommended.

Virtual Reality Sound Labs VRTP3N1C175 Slim 3 In 1 Power Inverter - 175 Watts

Virtual Reality Sound Labs VRTP3N1C175 Slim 3 In 1 Power Inverter - 175 WattsI use this inverter on my motorcycle to charge a spare battery for my Blackberry, to charge my netbook computer battery, and to charge a spare battery for my digital camera.

Everything is carried in my tankbag and the unit is quiet and runs fairly cool even in the closed tankbag. Of course I'm not really stressing the capacity since the ASUS netbook takes 36W when running and much less to charge the battery. The Blackbery and camera batteries also require very little current. With the netbook and the USB charger plugged in, the VR3 is running at about 20% capacity.

I haven't noticed a large current draw from the unit, but I usually use it when the motorcycle is running and providing lots of power. Haven't tried using it just from the battery.

It is very convenient to have the 110VAC and the USB output so I can charge two things at once and don't have to carry another cable, which works fine and has not caused any problems.

The AC output is on the end of the unit, which is good for the netbook charger and not so much for the camera charger since it has the flip-out plug and makes the whole thing a little awkward when plugged together.

I like that the DC input cable unplugs from the unit so it can be stored more compactly when not in use.

Altogether I would recommend this as a low capacity inverter/converter combo. Very convenient and the price is right.

I also bought this from Costco just today and I was concerned when I got home and read the previous reviewer's comments. I decided to give the product the benefit of the doubt and actually tried it. I attached both my cell phone charger and the charger for my Garmin GPS at the same time. Both charged without problems. I actually had some initial qualms because there was no sound at all coming from the inverter and I wondered how it could be cooling without a fan. Unconvinced, I plugged in a battery charger with four AA batteries. No noise and the unit is barely warm. If all of this holds true after a few more tests, I'll go back and get a couple of more. You do have to keep in mind that this is a 175-watt inverter and thus is limited. I tried old Gateway laptop and it wouldn't work but this dinosaur computer reeves up a terrible cooling fan on startup and it's too much for this little unit.

This is the third one I have purchased. Have had one for two years and it is great.

Bought one for my cabin and one for a friend. So Small and Silent, I love it.

Tried Everything about it, Its definately not 175 watts, will not run anything more than about 75 watts, 15.4" laptop will work after its booted it up but wont run with the wireless turned on. It actually comes with a Fm modulator & that works good, really powerful. But I bought it for a bike and it will be used to charge e-cig, cell phone & various other batts, maybe to recharge a shutdown laptop occasion. So hopefully it wont let me down. Just dont expect to run anything over 75 watts & you'll be fine. For 14$ if I get a year or 2 out of it I'll be happy. Bottom line its really compact charger/inverter & will run only the smallest netbooks, tablets. Even says in the manual it will run 100 watts for 20 mins, so 75 continuous is its max.

If you want small inverter with ability to run tvs, large laptops & have an extra 12 volt plug in it, I'd suggest Black & Decker, 200watt continuous/400surge , Maxx SST. I have one that still works like a champ, even after 8 severely used & abused years.(Orange one, Not the newer silver one, just cant speak for that one), A well sepent 20$.

Want Virtual Reality Sound Labs VRTP3N1C175 Slim 3 In 1 Power Inverter - 175 Watts Discount?

I purchased this last night. Wanting a inverter to power my netbook and mobile devices. Open it up today I found out it was a FM transmitter as well. It didn't mention that on the packaging. So I plugged it in to a Mp3 player and tune to the default station on the unit. Wow!!! I was impressed with the sound and clarity.

I live in a city and FM Trans. don't go together. In the many Trans. I have own they were all horrible. Especially a stoplights and especially in a Ford Taurus I occasionally drive around. The receiver on the Taurus is in the trunk so any ordinary trans. doesn't do well due to the six foot range of the trans. I unplug the Trans and find out the station was broadcasting a local program. Usually there would be bleeding and you would notice this almost immediately; not the case here.

Later I got in the Taurus and which I have a DLO iPod docking/charger. I only use it for hi-way trips out of the city. This unit on the same station that was broadcasting locally was powerful enough to over come that and the distance to the trunk to produce good fidelity and static-free sound in the city.

I would highly recommend this to anyone.

One downside the manual states that you can only use the 120V outlet for about 20 min.

MaxiScan MS509 OBD2 Scanner Code Reader Live Data

MaxiScan MS509 OBD2 Scanner Code Reader Live Data
  • Brand new and high quality
  • Suitable for all 1996 & later OBD2 compliant US, European & Asian vehicles.
  • Easily find the cause of the "Check Engine Light"
  • Retrieve generic (P0, P2, P3, & U0) & manufacturer specific (P1, P3, and U1) codes
  • Turn off Check Engine Light, erase codes & resets monitors

I normally do not like giving one star ratings, but this item deserves it for the following reasons:

Upon receipt item did not have a battery even though the box clearly stated it contains a nine-volt? Meter was not in any sort of wrap/bag etc. Cables looked to have been resealed in the plastic bags. The software would not recognize the unit when hooked up though to usb. The burn date for the software on this scanner is 9/11/2008, Version 2.03. Obviously this is an older stock, used unit, refurbished and sent to me.

I had a Cen-Tech I had taken back, due to display problems, to Harbor Freight that is the identical same thing as this scanner. It came in a small bubble bag, the leads looked new and sealed in the bag, it had a new nine-volt, the software recognized it when hooked to the usb. The burn date for the software on this scanner is 7/25/12, Version 2.13. This scanner functioned fine it just had a display problem therefore the take back.

Older software, a scanner that appears used, repackaged, software not recognizing it, and no battery. This experience has cost me extra shipping costs and wasted my time trying to figure out just what piece of junk they sent me.

Since I have had the experience of having one of these that did function I do know the difference.

I would clearly avoid this seller, not reputable.

Power Acoustik WLHP-100 Wireless Infrared Headphones

Power Acoustik WLHP-100 Wireless Infrared HeadphonesWe bought these headphones for our 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan and they work perfectly. The dealership wanted $70 a pair for factory headphones and these work perfect. I highly recommend!

Awesome wireless headphones. These headphones worked quite well for my kids during the drive on our vacation. For the price they can't be beat and it provides you with peace and quiet during your drive. They work well with our Dodge Grand Caravan and with my friends Pontiac Montana. They are worth their weight in gold. You will not be disappointed.

Final plus, they automatically shut off after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Buy Power Acoustik WLHP-100 Wireless Infrared Headphones Now

I'll start first with the only bad thing I found with these headphones, and the reason they receive 4 stars instead of 5... the advertisement / branding. When I clicked the "Buy Now" button, I was under the impression, based on the product description, that I was purchasing a set of *Power Acoustic* name brand headphones, but what I received was a set of *Farenheit* (never heard of the brand before) headphones which may or may not be made by Power Acoustic. While the model # on the box is the same as that advertised in the product description, there are no markings whatsoever on the headphones or packaging that indicate that these are a Power Acoustic product. I do not appreciate being mis-led into making a purchase. This seems like a case of bait-and-switch to me. I did however know that this may occur, based on another reviewers comments, and I decided to purchase these anyway because of the low price and generally positive reviews.

I purchased these for my new-to-me 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. The van apparently was equipped with headphones from the factory, however I did not receive them when I bought the vehicle used, so I cannot compare these headphones to the OEM ones... I just know that they do work in my van.

After installing the (2) AAA batteries (not included), the headphones felt well balanced on my head (the batteries are on one side and the electronics on the other). The headphones are fairly light, so I don't foresee my daughter (almost 3) having a problem wearing them, however even when adjusted to the smallest size, they are still a little big on her head.

I assumed that these headphones would automatically work once I turned them on in the van, however after looking at the owners manual, I found that I have to turn on the headphone setting on the DVD player before they will work. Once that was done, it was smooth sailing. The head phones picked up the IR signal and the sound started playing. The volume is sufficient, and the sound quality is average but hey, so is watching a movie on a 6" screen. The headphones work well anywhere in the van except when moved toward the front two (driver / passenger) seats which I assume, is by design. Also, these headphones do not block out much of the ambient noise, so if you plan on listening to music while the kids watch movies, the kids might have a rough time hearing the movie if you don't turn off the rear speakers.

All in all I'm pleased with this product, and I'm glad I didn't have to pay the exorbitant price that the dealership wanted for a set of replacement headphones. I would recommend these headphones to friends, and if needed, I'll buy another set in the future.
