This is a very basic auto kit. Tools are good and the case is great but the jumper cables are very short and flimsy. I would not recommend this kit.

Very basic, Tools are OK quality. But jumper cable is really bad. It did not work after i have used it for a couple of times. I suspect the wire on the inside broke.

Do not buy it.. you need things to work best when you need them most and its not an option to have an OK "Emergency kit"!

The tool set is VERY basic. We've used it a couple of times and we've been glad to have it, but also frustrated with the quality of products inside. The jumper cables are small maybe 14 gauge so they barely pass any current and it takes FOREVER to jump a car. If you're trying to jump a large SUV or truck, forget about it! Other tools are basic and made of mostly plastic. No wrench for the socket set makes it fairly useless. I would NOT recommend this kit; spend the money on a better option.

So this is a very basic tool kit for your car. It will do the trick in a pinch, but I'd probably spend a little more and buy something better. My main complaints are that the jumper cables are too small, both in gauge and length. Also, the case is kind of pain. I don't like the snap-in kits because they're fitted for specific tools. Thus, if you want to add to the kit there's no place for it. I definitely prefer the bags. Regardless, I got it as a gift and it's OK, but I'll get something a little better when it's time to replace this one.

This capacitor worked great with my Rockford Fosgate Punch Amp (200 RMS x 2) & Stage 2 Subs. It fixed the light-flickering problem in my car and you could feel, as well as hear the difference in the hard-hitting bass that came out of the subs! I am no car stereo enthusiast or expert, but I know enough to say that this is a very reasonable price and a good performing capacitor. Easy to install, comes with screws (4) for mounting. I would recommend getting some large ring terminals for your wires. I measured the posts @ 9/16", so not sure what the closest size it. I got some that were a bit too small and filed them down. Great product at an excellent price. Highly recommend!

I tried to operate a 12-volt fan that is rated at 2.6 Amps and the voltage dropped WAY below 12 volts-making it severely underpowered. The adapter says it can handle 5 amps, I would hate to think what actual voltage it is putting out if you try to put that much load on it. I have used many generic branded 12-volt adapters and never seen a single one perform THIS badly!

Its not winter yet but my first impression of these mats is that they are light weight. I assumed they would be made of a heavy rubber. Thats really my only complaint. They fit well , installed easily and will suit my needs. I though that for the price they would be made tougher.

Title says it all. I was pleased with the quality. I did use a small amount of solder to tin the wires before installing and tightening the screws as power cables with tiny individual threads tend to pull free of these type connectors. After tinning (again not making a metal jacket but just enough to see a slight color change in the wire) the wires were tight and wouldn't pull out with the toughest handling. Good product at a great price.

Koolertron F-12 ELM 327 OBDII PC Car Diagnostic Scanner

I purchased this particular ELM327 interface which arrived quickly and the packaging was fine. I plugged it into the car and noticed the diagnostic lights were positioned against the underside of the dash. The device slowly linked up to Torque (Android phone app), and would update very slowly, or freeze up intermittently.

I bought another scanner, only this time it was labeled Soliport ELM 327, and it works flawless.

A few differences I should point out between the two units. I will refer to the problematic scanner as A and the good, working one as B.

[A] has a nub on the back end of the case, where [B] is flat

The cut-out notch/tab for the ODBII interface on [B] is on the same side as the label and diagnostic lights

The product image for [B] showed the cut-out notch/tab being on the same side as the label and diagnostic lights

[B] syncs up quickly and provides almost instant stats (there is about a fraction of a second delay which was to be expected)

The mini-CD that comes with [B], arrived in a mini jewel case, while the mini-CD that came with [A] was in a paper sleeve

When linked via Bluetooth, [A] displayed as CBT, while [B] displayed as OBDII

In conclusion, I am not sure if the first model I purchased was a knockoff or just a different version. Your best bet I think is to search for the "Soliport" version of this device. Also, ensure that your purchase is fully covered under Amazon's return policy, as you stand a chance of receiving the faulty version.

I purchased this product knowing that it might not be the best Bluetooth OBDII interface on the market. I use it to interface with Torque on a Motorola Droid.

The product is housed in hard plastic and seems very well put together. It does not seem prone to breakage and easily survives drops of five feet to solid pavement with minimal cosmetic damage.

As for connectivity I have not experienced any interruption while driving with the phone fixed to the center console (approx. distance from phone to device no more than one meter).

I have not attempted to use the software that came with the device. In fact, I'm fairly sure that I've thrown it away. Torque is well worth the extra few dollars and having logs on hand in the phone that I use day to day is useful.

I've used this product to read codes for several family members although this service is provided for free by many automotive supply outlets. Combined with an iphone or android based phone and good software it provides data readouts which in my opinion makes it well worth the price. It's also nice to know that with the same software one can increase gas mileage by improving driving efficiency.

Overall I rated this product as five stars because it is inexpensive when compared to other devices and serves it's function admirably.

So far I've used this with my laptop and iPhone on my '04 Chevy Cavalier and '11 Scion xD. Works quickly and easily with my laptop, but getting it to work my my iPhone 4 took some toying with. Simple guide is below: (My iPhone is a 4 running iOS 5.0.1 and jailbroken with redsn0w)

LEAVE THE IPHONES DEFAULT BLUETOOTH OFF DURING THIS ENTIRE PROCESS!!!!!

If you'd like this to work on your iPhone, you'll need to jailbreak it, and use the jailbreak to install an app called roqyBT4, along with its OBDII extension called roqyOBD4. After this, go plug the ELM into your car and move the ignition to the "on" position and open roqyBT4. Choose the configuration tab, check the OBDkey option, and enter 1234 for the device pin code, and turn on automatic pairing. Then back out of the config screen, turn bluetooth on from inside roqybt4, and when your ELM pops up (mine is shown just as a device named "OBDII"), select it. Give roqyBT4 a few seconds to sync with the device, but once its done you will never have to do this portion again! It should show you a screen with a IP address and port on it. Remember these numbers! Once roqyBT4 has connected to the device, go ahead and exit roqyBT4.

Now its time for DashCommand, which you can purchase from the Apple App Store. go ahead and open up dash command and use the little arrow in the bottom right corner to scroll over to the settings page. Inside of settings, I recommend turning fullscreen mode off, because this allows you to see the iPhones status bar, which is important in the later steps to hook up the ELM to the iPhone. Now scroll down to the line that says OBDII data port, and click it. Once in there, select Custom IP, and enter 127.0.0.1 (or your Ip if it was different) for the IP and 35000 (same deal here) for the port. Back out of the data port page to the main DashCommand page, and close the app. Double click your home button, and clear DashCommand out of your task switcher. Now open dash command back up, and you'll notice on your statusbar that your bluetooth will kick on-off-on again, and then the symbol should turn blue after a few seconds of searching and automatically connecting to your ELM. (Remember that automatic pairing you turned on earlier in roqybt4?) Once you see the bluetooth symbol on your statusbar turn blue, go ahead and hit connect inside of the DashCommand app. It may take a few tries (typically it takes me two) but eventually your phone will start reading the information off of the ELM.

Things to check if this is not working-

-check the custom ip and port inside of roqybt4. Everyone I've talked too had those numbers, but it is possible they may change. The numbers inside of roqyBT4 are the ones that you need to give to DashCommand, so if your numbers inside of roqyBT4 are something other than what is mentioned above, then use your numbers from roqyBT4.

-Make sure your ELM has power and data! Most cars require the key to be in the "ON/RUN" position to power the ECU and therefore make the ELM work, not "Accessory/ACC". If this still doesn't work, try starting the car. for example, my Chevy will power the ELM with no key in at all, but the data link is not established until I move the key to the "Run" position.

Bottom line, this is a great product, the only issue I have with it is the Update rate when connected to an iPhone or Droid. It has about a 5-7 second delay when hooked up to those devices. When connected to my laptop however, it has a few millisecond delay.

I have purchased and used this bluetooth device. I have successfully paired it to my Nokia N95 phone, and used it in the following vehicles... 2001 Audi A6, 2007 Toyota 4Runner, 2008 Toyota Rav4. It allows me to capture and/or see data while driving, and even reset codes while driving. You can plug it in and leave it in place to utilize whenever you feel the need, just take out your phone and start the app. I haven't found any significant battery drainage even after parking for 2 weeks during a trip out of town. The device is well built, solid, and worth the money. The great thing about using with a smart phone is that one can utilize multiple apps to access this data, I currently use Automobile , ODBScope , and RaceChrono . Small enough to carry in your pocket and, of course, you can plug it into a friends car and monitor/reset their engine stats during a trip.

I think that a car camera is some thing ever car should have. the video has good qualitly and the sound it alright but only good for the cab of the vehicle, but did not expect anything superstar. all in all its a great camrea to have for that just in case. you should get a 32GB card so you can have about 10 hours of video. im not really for sure but i do think that it dose delete the old files and make new ones if its runs out of space but not really sure. have not really run it to that problem just yet. ill update it I find out.

I bought one of these to use as a storm footage camera. I am a professional storm chaser for the National Weather Service. I have one of these on my windshield to capture tornado and storm footage. Works extremely well. Not the clearest picture quality but for 28 bucks I am not complaining. The quality of the picture is comparable to most cellular phones. Not too shabby. It works well for exactly what it was intended for so if your looking for a good bang for the buck then this little guy is for you. I don't think you will be disappointed. Only draw back is you have to by an SD-card. It DOES NOT come with the card and without the card this device will not work.

Had a cheaper camera that only accepted 2GB SD cards and after recording would have to run that video through software to enhance, de-interlace, and so on. That had no audio.

This camera though had audio which is awesome and the video can be taken straight from the card and posted without running through software to enhance if you don't want to.

First contact with it was weird in that it the default language was Russian but reading through the small instruction sheet was able to change to English and run with it.

Power cord is long enough to run from the plug-in, under the driver-side dash, up under the trim, across the top and to the unit so you don't have that 'hanging' from the mirror. Dead give away something is attached to the window (which is technically illegal in Minnesota).

Would recommend as a 'gotta have something' to record. Am currently trying out the different 'types' of video quality and should report back on that.

These didn't fit my GM vehicle well at all either even though they were a match. The mats were very rigid and where they overlapped in the middle my truck also had a small hump which made matters worse as far as fitment goes. I returned these and went with the OEM factory one piece rear all weather mat.

I bought this for a Christmas present and soldered it together myself. It doesn't do a whole lot of voices (5 pitches with the choice for vibrato or not), but the cool part is that it works.

The kit goes together quite quickly and the instructions were detailed and almost foolproof. I have average soldering skills and had no problem soldering whatsoever, since it worked the first time I applied power. When soldering inspect the soldering joints frequently to ward off those mistakes. The sound was loud and robust, however, I had to use a long speaker wire (no less than 18 inches) when attaching a speaker, because if the speaker is too close to the on-board microphone the screech and howl from feedback is unbearable. I also recommend not using an extremely cheap speaker, although those tiny speakers will work, the effect is not quite as dramatic with just a bit better speaker. I picked up a cool mini speaker at the thrift store for one buck. Just whispering into the microphone produced a loud strong output, although I had to hold the mic close to my mouth when speaking. The vibrato effect was fairly decent, but the high and especially the low pitch button setting produced very nice sound effects, and the robot voice option was really nice. It sounded like one of the Dahleks on the Dr. Who TV show. I kept playing with this device for quite some time, very enjoyable. I am currently installing this kit into an enclosure.

It was a good learning experience. This little device does not have a speaker so I salvaged one from an old radio. Later I learned the necessity of mounting and protecting such a board when I broke it. The sound quality was minimum and something that a person would build on a breadboard for dis-assembly after proving to themselves they could make it. Make sure you look up soldering techniques. Cold solder joints look soldered when they are not. Youtube is your friend.

The construction of this board is the only 'educational' value it offers. The parts are durable enough for casual work, assuming you have some basic soldering skills. A novice to such work can easily overheat and ruin some of the parts, so be careful. The unit itself seems sturdy, with strong connection and switches. The output is garbage! You can barely hear anything from the speaker, even at maximum volvume. It's a toy, and should be considered such when you go to purchase a voice changer module.

I've used this about 3 times now and have NO complaints with one caveat. The Inverter does not come with a power cord. Luckily I had one left over from my previous inverter. With out it you'll have to buy/make one.

I originally bought this to power a 1000 W immersion heater, but the heater apparently pulls more like 1200 W. This inverter would trip almost immediately upon turning on the immersion heater. I exchanged this for a Cobra 1500 W inverter, and have never had a problem. So, don't get a 1000 W inverter if you have a 1000 W load.

This DC/AC inverter is extremely well built and very quiet, even when the thermal-control fan is running. The terminals on the back are heavy-duty and come with washers and nuts.

I was planning to power my computer and satellite modem on my farm by connecting my existing APC UPS to this inverter, but for some reason the fault LED lights up and the inverter shuts down. There are smaller and bigger versions of this inverter on Amazon (mostly under the Xantrex brand, which manufactures it for Duracell), so it is easy to choose according to one's needs (in my case, 1000W is a huge overkill for the computer gear only, but I may be able to power a large LCD monitor or a TV in the future).

My family and I, ( all 12 of us ) camped at Badin Lake for a week and this Inverter died after a short time of working great, and it was working great. But after turning it off and on 3 or 4 times, She died and I could not bring her back. Thank God for my Genny, ( Read other review ). I sent the item back for a replacement, and Amazon sent me another at no charge. I haven't taken it out of the box yet so I can't tell you about that one. So I purchased this inverter so I could run my computer off of solar power. Thinking I could plug my UPS (uninterpretable power supply) into it. You CANT! If you plan on plugging a UPS into this, don't, they require a Pure Sine wave. Other than that this unit works great! I am currently charging my laptop and cell phone from it.

I am always skeptical about FM transmitters for music playback through the radio of one's car. Having tried many of these devices I was never really pleased with the sound quality because of the amount of static that could be heard over the soundwaves.

I am happy to say that this device works GREAT! As long as there is nothing electrical between this transmitter and the antenna of your car, the clarity of the signal is amazing! I turned down the sound of my Galaxy Tab 10.1 to see how much static I could here and pumped up the car stereo volume and I could barely hear any static!

I use it with a cup holder cigarette lighter power unit (it also has TWO USB power connectors) so I can power other music devices while using the 3.5 mm jack to port the sound through the car speakers.
