1.88 Inches LCD Screen Fm Transmitter Car Mp3 Player with Remote Control- Blue

1.88 Inches LCD Screen Fm Transmitter Car Mp3 Player with Remote Control- BlueThe aux cable sucks and the audio clarity is bad. I just brought a new phone and on using this to play the songs, I felt like throwing my phone away. Remote doesn't work either. I should have paid $40 and got some nice branded ones rather than wasting it on this crap.

Very good player for the price....Remembers FM Station and last song....even has a red led so u can see on bright sunny days FM Station/Song no....I gave it a 4 because the SSD card sticks out quite a bit...Sound quality is very good..for the price Excellent buy....

The item comes with no instructions. So it took many trials and errors to figure out how to use it. It is noisy and every time you start up the car, you have to re-tune it again! The remote does not seem to work too.

GOgroove FlexSMART X3 Bluetooth FM Transmitter with Enhanced Clarity Technology for Wireless Handsf

GOgroove FlexSMART X3 Bluetooth FM Transmitter with Enhanced Clarity Technology for Wireless Handsfree Calling , Audio / Music Playback , and USB Charging in Your Car or Vehicle ** Includes Micro USB Charger & 3.5mm Audio Cables! **First of all I know this is a "product" review but I've got to mention the shipping aspect. I chose the free shipping and actually received the item 4 days ahead of schedule. Felt that was well worth mentioning. As far as the actual product, it's amazing. I had the Flexsmart X2 and had the same problem as the first reviewer....it wouldn't play through all my car speakers. But I've had no issues with the X3. The sound is friggin' amazing. I've tried several FM transmitters and this one is by far the best. Music through the Bluetooth connection sounds just like cd quality....crisp and clear with good bass. Just sounds really full. Anyway, I do agree that the thing is ugly, but I drive an '06 Camry so I'm certainly not going to impress the ladies with my FM transmitter. Anyway, the cosmetics aren't enough to throw it out, the performance is too good to do that (hey that line works in a lot of situations). Crap, sorry, back to the review....it's simple to pair with your phone. I have an iPhone 5 and it literally paired in seconds. You don't have to press anything on the unit to make it "ready" to pair. It automatically shows up on your list of Bluetooth devices. It pairs back up to your phone again automatically ever time you turn the transmitter back on. I've used the handsfree calling a couple times...works great. I will say the light color behind the buttons is pretty cool. It's that cool blue futuristic look...like something out of Tron Legacy. Of course as the description reads, it has a USB port to plug your phone in so you can charge it. That right there is a pretty stellar feature (you can pretty much throw your car charger in the glove box). All in all...this thing is well worth the price. Amazing (and I mean absolutely AMAZING) sound quality. You won't be dissapointed....from Lil Wayne to Taylor Swift and from Eminem to someone singing you happy birthday on a handsfree phone call*...all your music will sound awesome.

*Note: the level of awesomeness on the birthday song really depends on who is singing it...don't blame the device if the person singing sounds like Pee-Wee Herman is choking himself.

I recently purchased the this company's FlexSMART X2 and it turned out not to play stereo unless it was at full volume on the device. That was an issue because the sound was very distorted at times. I decided to give the X3 a chance in the hopes that the company made some updates to the design. It was a good decision as this device plays perfectly through my wife's stereo and the voice quality is good too. If there was one nitpick it is the color. I would prefer a black version but I knew that when I bought the device. I would recommend this to anyone with a stereo that doesn't have AUX in. Happy wife, happy life!

The GOgroove FlexSMART X3 is one great FM/Bluetooth transmitter. I have been using an iPhone 5 from AT&T with this product for about a month now.

Overall Impression:

This is one great product. The Bluetooth integration makes this super convenient. Just start your car up, have your phone in your pocket and the GOgroove starts playing your music and is ready to take incoming calls via the Bluetooth system.

The sound quality is very good. The main reason I bought this was because I had a cassette with a cord to play the music on my iphone. But quite often it made this really annoying interference sound that electronics sometimes have on speakers. With this product there is no crazy beeping or bad noises.

Connecting to a clear radio station is very easy. You just need to hold the middle button for a few seconds and it pics a new station. I live in the bay area so I need to change the station when I travel about every 30 miles. You do need to take some time and "try out" various F.M. stations. One station might be clear, but if you drive 10 minutes, it gets really fuzzy. I found a station that sounds great from my house to my school, about a 8 mile distance. I don't need to keep changing the station to get a clear signal. Though when driving long distances, be prepared to change the station every once in a while to get a clear signal.

You do need to turn up your volume on your car really high when listening to audiobooks or recordings. This in turn sometimes produces a little fuzzy sound in the background, but it doesn't bother me much. If you get a really good station, no fuzzy sound is noticeable. One bummer is this device does not "remember" your volume setting. So when I listen to my audiobooks or recordings, every time I have to manually turn the devices volume up to max to get the best quality of sound. If someone from the company is reading this, please ADD this feature to your next device.

The device looks nice in the car, I got a compliment from my girlfriend. :) She actually was interested in getting one because it "looks good" even-though she has an auxiliary port in her car! The blue accent lighting is quite nice, it adds a special "touch" at night.

Call Quality:

The call quality is good. I can hear the other person through my speakers easily. Also the people I am talking with say they can hear me clearly..no echoing has been found.

Hidden surprises I found using the product:

1. If you are listening to your ipod or even PANDORA, then the next time you start your car up, the device starts playing automatically. This is really nice because it saves time going through your device and starting up your music or audiobooks. It also pauses what you are listening to when you turn off the device or turn off your car.

2. You don't need to plug the cable from the phone to the GOgroove, it works via Bluetooth! Maybe it says this in the description, but it was a pleasant surprise to me. I thought the Bluetooth was only for the calling aspect.

3. The Pause/Play button and skip forward or backward buttons on the GOgroove device work with my ipod (through my iphone) and on PANDORA via Bluetooth. This is great because now I just keep my phone in my pocket when I get in and out of my car. No more spending time fumbling around to connect my device (especially nice in the cold mornings) or forgetting my phone in the car.

4. I won't lose this thing! I keep it in my car, and vuala! I say this because I have owned Bluetooth headsets and I have either lost them or broke them because they are so small and delicate. Also when I did have my headset, I would wear it into the house from my car and forget it next time I drove my car and NEEDED to use it. Now I just turn on my car and I am "Bluetooth ready" to take calls.

Overall this is a great alternative if you don't have an auxiliary port or are looking for an alternative Bluetooth device to take calls in your car. You can message me with any questions you may have.

Just purchased and recieved the Gogroove Flexsmart X3 for use in my 2002 Honda Accord, with my iPhone5. My Accord has the factory radio and up until now I had been using an FM transmitter that required me to plug a cable into the earphone jack on the iPhone. I was worried that the continued plugging and unplugging would wear out/damage the earphone jack. I felt that a bluetooth link from the phone to the transmitter was what I needed.

After reading various reviews online I ordered the X3. Pairing was very easy and it feels like a solid, well built device, however the X3 has it own internal volume control that needed to be turned up all the way to give me good sound in the car (while the car radio and the iPhone were set at approx 1/2-3/4 volume level each). OK, so I don't mind adjusting the volume on the X3 ONCE, but the problem is everytime that the car is turned off and the X3 loses power the internal volume level on the X3 reverts to a much lower setting. So now everytime I get into my car I have to press the volume up button on the X3 several times to get it back to where I need itWhat a pain!! It doesn't matter if I'm listening with the key in the "acc" position and then I start the car, the momentary loss of power to the X3 resets the volume level to a much lower setting than I need.

For Pete's sake, They designed this thing so that it retains the radio station preset internally to broadcast to my car stereo, why can't it also retain my last volume level when it powers down??? Like most people, I am using it day after day in the exact same car with the exact same phone. They dropped the ball on this aspect of the design.

I thought maybe this Gogroove Flexsmart X3 was going to solve my problems. Turns out it created new ones.

The call is yours, if you don't mind having to fiddle around with this thing everytime you get into your car buy it. For me it is likely going to be returned.

One last gripe: Offer a color choice other than white. Having to put my fingers on it so often to get it to work properly is only going to show dirt. Does everyone have to copy Apple's design?

I would've rated this a 5 if it came with an AUX cable with a noise filter.

If you have an iPhone and an AUX input in your car, this is the way to go, if you don't wanna spend the time and money on a full out in-dash Bluetooth head unit. It's one of the few units that have both "AUX In" and "AUX out" ports.

To put it simply, if you hate FM transmitters, and have an AUX/Headphone port in your car, this thing gives your car Bluetooth capability over the car's audio system.

Pros:

Auto-connect: no manual pairing needed. As soon as you turn on car, it pairs with iPhone and plays your podcasts or playlists over the car's speaker system (unlike the Motorola Roadster 2's crappy mono speaker output), pausing automatically for phone calls and GPS queues, and then auto resuming after ended call without any button pushing, manual pair, etc.

Flexible neck makes it super ergonomic for all cars

Great sound. Once again, it uses car's speakers, making it better than Jabra and Motorola's output systems. Though you will need an AUX cable with a digital noise filter. Kensington makes one for like $12, sold on Amazon.

Price

Cons/Suggestions for Improvement:

Galaxy s3 doesn't pair for some crazy reason

Please include a digital AUX cable with a noise filter. Seriously, with the supplied cable, there's so much static that it's almost unusable without one.

Make a way to turn off the FM transmitter. I use the AUX/Bluetooth solution. I don't need my phone calls broadcast on FM

Last year I got my wife a vehicle alarm mostly for the remote start and had it professionally installed. Naturally, I got stuck with the extra remote (short range, 1 way). The tabs holding the battery cover broke off just from normal wear and duct tape would not hold it secure, so I went for the upgrade for a replacement. It is so nice to have the range and feedback so you know if the doors are locked and the engine is running.

"Watt's Up" RC Watt Meter & Power Analyzer WU100 Version 2 --- SALE!

'Watt's Up' RC Watt Meter & Power Analyzer WU100 Version 2 --- SALE!This item is marketed primarily by and in support of RC enthusiasts (toy makers and users). It, however, is not a toy and could cause harm if misused. I purchased the Watt's Up meter to monitor large batteries powering telescopes, associated computers, heaters and lights. This is in an outdoor environment subject to cold and moisture. Follow the instructions and be prepared to be delighted. Perhaps one of the few items on the market which delivers exactly what it is designed to do. Because my application is at night, I wish it had a backlight, but that's not a major problem. My astronomy gear is expensive, portable and uses DC power. The Watt's Up allows me to see what my electronics are really doing in the field, compared to what the manufactors say they are suppose to do. That means early warning for batteries, heaters, internal components (computers, motors and chip sets) and in the environment they are used. The Watt's up is well made, weather resistant, and compact. During a session, it even records relavant data and continually updates itself. It won't pour your coffee, but it will watch your DC systems better than you could without it. A very, very good buy.

I purchased this meter after learning about it on a few of the solar power forums on the net. I am using it to monitor a small home solar power system. So far I am very pleased. I especially like the fact that it will measure amps and watts over time, along with minimum voltage and peak currents. I would say it is indispensable for maintaining or tuning a small solar set up. I have only been using it for a few days but if it lasts I am very pleased. The 60 amp limit is a real plus.

Buy "Watt's Up" RC Watt Meter & Power Analyzer WU100 Version 2 --- SALE! Now

This device is being used as an eBike power monitor. It's very easy to install and works exactly as advertised. Shows instantaneous Volts, Amps, and Watts. After a ride, it shows the total energy used in WattHours, and the peak current and power used during the ride, as well as the minimum battery voltage. Extremely useful for monitoring battery consumption and condition. It will not quantitatively display regenerated current but it does show the rise in battery voltage during regenerative braking. Excellent product; excellent price.

The Watt's Up meter is an Inline DC meter that measures 8 parameters. Amp houses (Ah), Watt Hours (Wh), Voltage (v), Watts (w), and captures peak current (AmpsPeak) Peak Power (WattsPeak), voltage Sag (VoltsMin), and power consumed with (AmpHours)

Here are the Watts Up parameter, ranges and resolution

Voltage, 0-60v, 0.01v

Current, 0-110Amps, 0.01A

Power, 0-6554 watts, 0.01W

Charge, 0-65 Amp Hours, 0.001Ah

Energy, 0-6552 WattHours, 0.1 Wh

Minimum voltage is about 4.0 volts for operation of the meter itself.

I use this for testing all kinds of things, from RC gear, to Ham radio gear, to portable Solar systems. It does take some work to get it plugged into things. It comes with about 6" of bare wire on each end. I had to make adapters for the various typs of connections I plan to use. I start with Anderson Power Pole directly attached to the unit and then have adapters for several others.

5 Stars, this is an accurate and very handy tool

Want "Watt's Up" RC Watt Meter & Power Analyzer WU100 Version 2 --- SALE! Discount?

I bought this because of the reviews I had read on Amazon. It has turned out to be one of the best investment I've made in my off-grid solar/system. With it I could determine the total amount of watt hours I was getting from my solar panels on sunny and cloudy days. As a result I determined that I needed to purchase more solar panels for my total electrical needs. It is an invaluable tool for the small scale off grid person. One can also rig it into any appliance to determine the amount of energy that unit is using. I put 4 inexpensive rubber shielded alligator clips on the unit as this allows for many different applications. Great little gadget!

2008 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee Remote & Key Combo - 4 Button

2008 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee Remote & Key Combo - 4 ButtonIt works and was over $100 less expensive than if purchased from the local dealership. The dealer charged $35 to program the key and cut the blank took about a half hour. The quality is compatible to the original, a good buy.

One of my keys broke about a month ago (part of the top which goes into the ignition broke off) luckily I found the part that broke off because otherwise there would've been no way to drive the car (not very intelligent on the manufacturers part, you should be able to use the locking key also so you aren't trapped somewhere). So I called the dealer and they told me a new key was $250 so I decided to try this since it was about $75. Key arrived promptly (3-4 business days) and took all of 5 minutes to program on my own. Luckily, I still had my 2 original keys and was able to hold the broken one in place in the ignition so that I could program the new key. My second original key is also showing signs of breaking so I will probably order another key from here and get ahead of the issue.

Duracell DRINVP175 175-Watt Pocket Inverter with 2.1-Amp USB Port

Duracell DRINVP175 175-Watt Pocket Inverter with 2.1-Amp USB PortThis 12 volt inverter is smaller than I possibly could have imagined. At 4x2.5x1, it's about the size of a deck of cards. It weighs only 4oz so it's almost as if it's a hollowed out piece of plastic. Impressive! Previous inverters that I've used were about the size of a brick (and weighed almost that much). I was completely surprised when I saw how small and light this was.

While it advertises 175W support, that is white lie told by the marketers. The product clearly states it can *peak* at 175W but in normal operation, it is rated for 130W. This is a small but important difference. I wish they'd just tell the truth and call it a "130W inverter" but exaggerating and advertising peak values seems to be an industry norm. An example where this little lie might get you: the charger that came with my laptop is 150W and would not work with this inverter. That said, I never bring along my huge 150W laptop power supply when traveling.

This inverter seems to have a small fan which is inaudible unless you hold the inverter up to your ear. During 20 minutes of formal testing, the inverter reached an external temperature of about 100 degrees. If I shined my thermometer inside the air vents, I was able to get readings of 108 degrees. I'm guessing that this inverter gets quite warm to the touch after extended operation. I doubt that it is any different than other products like laptop power bricks. If I notice higher temperatures in extended usage, I'll update my review.

My kill-a-watt noted that the Duracell inverter provides 115.5 volts. This is a little less than I get in my house (118 volts). The power hertz was way down from what I get in my house. At home I get 59.9hz but the inverter provided between 24 and 37hz. The faceplate says it will 120volts @ 60hz but I'm not sure if this is an issue with the kill-a-watt or the inverter. I'm not a physicist so I don't really know what applications are impacted by the difference in frequency.

My first test of the Duracell inverter was to make use of its USB port to charge my phone. There wasn't much to this testI plugged the cell phone into the USB port and it started charging. I count this as a success.

My next test was to plug in my laptop using the aforementioned 150W power supply. The laptop did not show that it was charging and the inverter's green power light started flashing. It appeared to be protecting itself from drawing too much power. Another success.

Next I plugged my laptop's 60 watt power supply into the inverter and confirmed that my laptop was now charging. The kill-a-watt showed I was drawing about 40 watts and the laptop indicated that it was plugged in. More success.

My final test was my CPAP machine. I've always wanted to be able to sleep in the car when on long trips but I have sleep apnea and require a CPAP machine. I wasn't crazy enough to plug my heated humidifier into this but I did test the CPAP and it worked fine. The machine draws 25 watts when operational so it's a fairly light load. Still, I was quite happy to see this work as this could definitely be something I use when on long drives.

Overall, I think this inverter is a steal. The small size will truly fit in your pocket and it seems to have enough capacity for almost anything reasonable that you will try to do in your car (charge a laptop). It also includes a set of clamp cables that could attach directly to a car or marine battery. This would be a great, inexpensive power solution for someone that lives in a place that sometimes loses power. Of course, you'd be very constrained on the wattage you could use so I think this would only work in the case of emergencies. But if you were an avid camper and could some how drag along a battery, this might be a handy way to plug in something like a CPAP machine when in the middle of nowhere.

This small and lightweight inverter is ideal for charging a laptop and a USB-powered iPod, cellphone or similiar device. It runs on the quiet side and fits nicely inside a laptop carrier or inside a car's glove compartment. It's one of the smallest devices I have owned for my electronic gadgets while traveling and performs excellently. I use it both for a small 10" notebook and to recharge my Kindle.

Although it comes with 12-volt cable clips, using them while driving would be impractical but are an added bonus at a campsite where a more powerful electronic device would need to be charged, but then make sure the car battery doesn't get depleted. The manual states a two-hour run time off a car battery while idle, but why tempt it?

I appreciate the added safety features on this small inverter. It has an electronic overload protection with automatic shutdown (the ideal range is 130-170W of combined devices), a non-user replacable 25 A fuse, low battery voltage shutdown and high-input voltage protection with automatic shutdown. Although I haven't had this happen to me yet, it also comes with an overheat protection with automatic shutdown. All these features help prevent blow-outs and destruction of electronic cigarette lighters and other outputs.

Its one weakness is the cigarette lighter plug itself. It stands about three inches long, so if your car's cigarette lighter is positioned in a tight spot, this device may be awkward or impossible to use. If your car's lighter is in the front dashboard with no obstructions, though, and you have only a laptop and iPod/iPhone to charge, this little gadget is ideal. It comes with a three-year limited warranty.

Buy Duracell DRINVP175 175-Watt Pocket Inverter with 2.1-Amp USB Port Now

The product works fine, but it fails to mention on amazon that this is 175 watts PEAK. On the device it reads 130 watts continuous, 175 watts peak. I bought this to charge my dell lattitude work laptop in my car and even with the laptop powered off it is unable to charge it. My laptop requires 150 watts so I thought I'd be covered with 175 but 130 isn't enought to get it done. I've been able to find other uses for it, and it works fine for charging camera batteries and handheld devices, but the ad is a little misleading.

Update: After re-reading the description, it does say "up to 100 watts compatability", but I still feel that should have been mentioned in the first line right next to "175". Still misleading, but I didn't read carefully enough.

This is my third inverter, and (just based on one test) this one is way, way, way quieter than my cheesy inverter from Walgreens and the cheesy (CyberPower) one from Walmart. As I understand almost all the noise is from tiny whiny fans, and the others sounded like high-pitched Dust Busters. By comparison this one was (for five minutes, at 40W) practically silent.

On the other hand, the box says it's 175 watts, but only if you hook it up directly to the car battery using the enclosed tiny jumper cables. Probably not what most people had in mind. The box says 175 watts peak power, 130 watts continuous (apparently with the jumpers), 120 watts (peak? continuous?) from the lighter socket. That's fine with me, but that's what it is.

Update: Year later, occasional use, still silent. As a 120-watt (peak?) inverter my experience is five-star. Just a truth-in-labeling issue.

Want Duracell DRINVP175 175-Watt Pocket Inverter with 2.1-Amp USB Port Discount?

This is a car inverter. It plugs into the cigarette lighter port and gives you an electric outlet. It works fine, with two exceptions. First, sometimes it makes a very high pitched hissing noise. Originally, I thought that mine was defective, and so I exchanged it. The replacement does the same thing.

Second, it has some kind of power saving feature that makes it so that it own't turn on until something draws from it. The problem is that many power supplies today have a similar feature they won't start drawing until power is available. One such device is the power supply for the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook. As a result, if you plug the power supply for the chromebook into this device, it will never start charging the Chromebook.

There is a work-around. If you use a power splitter, you can plug in the Chromebook power supply AND some other device that pulls a draw. Once it starts, the Chromebook will start drawing as well, and then you can unplug the other device. Its a pain, but it works.

Kicker 09ANL200 200 Amp ROHS Compliant ANL Fuse - Package of 2
  • Automotive Grade, platinum-graded fuse protection
  • These fuses satisfy the demands of high performance audio systems by consistantly providing the peak current demands while insuring complete protection
  • Two fuse per pack so you will always have a spair

I am using This fuse on a 1500 watt cobra inverter. It is not really overkill considering the max surge amperage available but will shut things down if there is a short in the 12 volt cable. Works good with Raptor GFBW4-ANL 1/0-4 Gauge ANL Rectangular Fuseholder.

Clore Automotive JNC4000 1100 Peak amp 12V Portable Jump Starter

Clore Automotive JNC4000 1100 Peak amp 12V Portable Jump StarterThe unit I bought was purchased from Griot's Garage, which is this item rebranded. It is thin enough (3.5" wide) that I could keep it in my Mazda RX-7 between the seat and storage bins. I used it many times over the last 5 years and it seems to be holding up great. I put it in my finance's car around a year and a half ago. Even she has commented on how often she has used it; not for herself but for coworkers and customers at where she works.

The only criticism I've found is that the cables are a little short at 23" long. Not unusable but I'd like them longer. I just purchased the "660" version of the Jump-N-Carry, the JNC660 for my truck due to the 46" long cables and a larger peak amp rating. I've never had it fail to turn over a vehicle, but I thought it may help with the V8.

BTW I attached two strips of heavy duty velcro (the hook side) on each side of the back of the unit. This prevents the unit from sliding around in her truck.

For Christmas I wanted to buy my parents an auto battery starter that would work without them having to get out of their car, since they live in the Rocky Mountains where it can stay below freezing. My husband informed me because of their elevation, climate and they drive an SUV they would need something with a lot my amps; so with his help on line we found the jumpstart 4000. Dad was so excited to get it, he opened it before Christmas and had it out during our visit starting quads that had been sitting out in the snow and not running for quite some time. Then wouldn't you know it our Ford F-250 truck would not start one morning, after a -9 degree F night, when we were taking our one year old to the Urgent care with a 103.7 fever. We grabbed the Jumpstart and the the truck was up and running in minutes. By the time we were headed home from our Rocky Mt.Colorado trip the Jumpstart had been used nearly everyday, even to jump the neighbors snow plow. We were all very impressed with Jumpstart 4000 and knew we made a good purchase.

The only short-coming to this unit is the 23" inch cable leads. These units will out perform "ANY" other unit on the market today and especially the styles that you can buy from the big dept stores. Do any of those "other" units come with a certificate to repair or replace their unit for $25.00? Mine did when I bought it back in 1998 and the unit I have is still working to this day... I believe its now $50.00 to send it in for a one time exchange! An "internal" charger is built into this unit so you don't have to deal with attaching an external charger like some brands have out there to charge it, and who doesn't own an extension cord? I do use my unit commercially and if you can safely hook this unit up to the correct leads on the battery your boosting than this unit will not let you down! Buy it and you'll love it! Note" The 660 Model has 46" inch lead cables and is a larger more powerful unit but. this unit will get the job done if you don't need the longer cable leads.. Enough said! Good Luck, Mike

The Clore Automotive JNC4000 is the product to take seriously. After looking around a long time, I decided that this particular model was the best. I am very pleased with my decision.

I first chose a jump starter from my local store. It was a Super Start Power Pack Portable 12 volt power source with 1000 peak amps. When I got it out of the box, I noticed that the lights on the actual charging unit were wrong. The printed label on the unit had been reversed leaving me very confused to whether it was charged or charging. Instead of reading "Charging" it said "Charged!" I called the company to complain and they said that they would call me back. They didn't bother. The quality control was in question and the company didn't care!?

Back to the Clore. It is sturdy, built well and the instructions have obviously been written in this country and easy to read. There are no corny lights in red or green. It has an easy to read needle that clearly indicates where the charge is or how much more is needed to bring it up to its peak power. Nice.

The smaller cables are of no concern for the average home owner. They are conveniently located and easy to unwind. This particular sealed battery can be stored or travel in any direction. On its side, back or whatever. Many units say that they should be stored upright or packed that way for travel. Not this one!

So, the big complaint seems to be that there isn't a power cable that comes with it. I personally feel that this is not a problem. I will pack a small power cable about ten feet long without that multiple cable that comes on the smaller ones sometimes used for lamps, etc. It takes one plug outlet on the box and one on the wall. I like that it is not attached to the box itself so I can store it easier while I'm on a trip. This unit I have been told is used mainly by auto dealerships to jump start dead batteries when they have been depleted sitting in the parking lots. By the way... the little card that comes with the unit has a lifetime guarantee, but it has gone from $25.00 to $50.00 and now is up to $75.00. So, when something goes wrong to the original owner to send the product back and forth and to repair or replace it costs $75.00! Forever... if you live that long! I recommend this jump start to anyone who needs something that is dependable and long lasting. Good Luck... Mike

for this item you need to provide the cord for it to charge.. ok its only an extention cord.. but they could have added one for about a buck. also the directions say not to let it charge for more that 24 hours i have a cheaper model from sears that you can keep plugged in all the time and it has a smart charge function to protect the unit..

this model just doesnt measure up.... but its ok

I bought a used remote for $23.00 and followed the instructions in this you tube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQmpLjYryRw. It took me about 3 tries to get it to work. I spent probably about 20 minutes in total watching the video, jotting down the notes and programming the remote. Programming the remote mostly involves opening and closing the car door and sticking the key in the ignition.

Toyota was going to have to order the remote, then they were going to charge $150 for the remote and $99 to program it.

I am really glad that I bought this from Amazon rather than Toyota.

KnuKonceptz Power / Ground Wire Reducer 0 - 4 Gauge 1/0
  • Reduces 1/0 Gauge wire to a 4 gauge size
  • Nickel Silver Plated - Hardened anodized steel set screw
  • Works with 0 - 2 gauge power/ground wire
  • Sold Individually

Nice finish and wire fits perfectly has a flat spot on the shaft wich worked nicely because my neg. and pos. terminals is next to each other so i had to grind flat spots on the reducers so they would clear each other and this way they won't turn and touch each other.

CyberPower CPS150BI AC Mobile Power Inverter/Converter, 12VDC to 120VAC, 150W, Bottle Mount

CyberPower CPS150BI AC Mobile Power Inverter/Converter, 12VDC to 120VAC, 150W, Bottle MountI purchased this product with the intention of using it for charging my laptop while on the road. According to the product's spec sheet, it is rated to supply 140-watts of continuous power (and 150-watts peak) and it is marketed as being a suitable power supply for laptops. Unfortunately, when I plugged my laptop (which uses a 90-watt charger) in to the unit it would overload and trip the surge protection after a few seconds. I was thoroughly unamused.

Additionally, I found this nugget from a review on Newegg:

"The problem with this unit is that neither the hot or the neutral plug on the unit are referenced to ground. In other words, the neutral actually has a potential of 60v above ground. This can lead to some shocking situations. The ground leg of the inverter is just a dummy hole -there is no actual ground.

In layman's terms, the electrical design of this unit is very poor and would never achieve household electrical standards. I can't figure out how they are allowed to manufacture and sell this unit especially when they advertise it for use with laptops."

And upon further inspection, I can confirm that this is accurate, which could possibly be the reason why my laptop charger overloads the unit despite the fact that the unit is supposed to be able to supply 140-watts continuously.

This unit does seem to work well for small electronic devices, but I cannot recommend this unit for any electrical device that draws much power or uses a 3-prong connector.

great!

This item came in very handy after we experienced a hurricane. Power was out for a couple days and this little thing charged everything. Laptops, phones, PSP, I worked my juice blender from my car!

plus, there is also a fan inside that keeps the plugs cool to the touch. A bit noisy because of the fan, but the power and convenience far outweighs that.

I definitely recommend!!

When I took several electronic items on the road (including my laptop), I was glad to have this small device along. It allowed me to work while my husband drove, and ensure that if I wasn't able to charge my laptop at night, I could quickly plug it in while traveling.

I keep it now as a handy "emergency" back up plan ... and will carry it with me next month when I am on the road again, although most of my electrical charging is done through USB chargers now my iPad has replaced my laptop for road trips!

What I enjoyed most about it was that it flexes, allowing you to angle it in a way that makes plugging your device in easy.

Want CyberPower CPS150BI AC Mobile Power Inverter/Converter, 12VDC to 120VAC, 150W, Bottle Mount Discount?

I bought mine in a retail store back in 2008 (for over $30), and love it. Never had a problem with it not handling the load of my laptop and other devices in my car, and for long periods of time. However, yes, it is noisy.

Wanting to get another one, I've had this in my cart for a while, watching the price go down and up and down again, and today discovered that some peeps have had problems with it not being grounded and tripping off. I suspect there was a stretch of poorly assembled units, but if this issue is resolved by the manufacturer, I can attest that this is a pretty nifty device to keep in your car for all kinds of needs and particularly emergencies, such as if your mobile phone dies and you're a long way from home--you can keep a car charger in your car for your mobile, sure. Or you can have something like this that works for multiple uses.

BESTEK 150w power inverter car dc 12v to 110v ac inverter dc adapter laptop charger notebook adapte

BESTEK 150w power inverter car dc 12v to 110v ac inverter dc adapter laptop charger notebook adapter dc charger ac adapter usb charger Dual USB 3.1A 1511CWell made and solid. I am using it to power some small motors like air compressors and electronics while camping. I am not sure if it will power larger equipment as it does run off the battery. Just to be safe I run the engine while I use the lamps and compressor.

Purchased for my 2000 Toyota 4Runner with 3 120W 12V outlets for use on long trips etc., based on positive reviews here. The 120V AC output of the charger works well for my Lenovo t61p and a friend's Toshiba Satellite laptops. I've used it for about 2 hrs since my purchase so far. Construction is of decent quality plastic and the product feels solid.

However, there are a few quirks you should be aware of. Minor, but nuisances nonetheless, and enough to subtract two stars from the rating.

1) The click-angle head of the product is weak. It cannot support the weight of the product outlet head and a plug at an upwards angle -it will creep downwards as you drive with your car's driving vibrations. The click head more or less holds its place when used horizontally.

2) The click-angle head's rotational range is narrow. The range or motion shown on the product picture is its maximum range of motion. Due to the adapter's large size, it may not fit your vehicle if the 12V outlet is right behind your shifter, etc.

3) The cooling fan is loud during operation, even when only using the USB outlets. The noise is bearable on the highway amongst highway vehicle noise (and my truck's on the loud side by today's standards), but the constant whine is unpleasant during street driving. You should purchase a separate adapter for dedicated use with USB devices. I think the noise is about equivalent to a vacuum cleaner behind a thick door or 2.

I would consider a corded inverter instead of this product for space use flexibility and placement muffling -the noise will be far less obnoxious say, under your legs than on the dash console; even if the other product is equivalently loud.

I purchased this converter to power a uniden video monitor in my car. I'm using it as a baby car seat monitor. Since the monitor doesn't have the best battery life I need to have it plugged in all the time. It only came with an ac outlet charger. This converter worked like a charm. The fan is not loud and it slide right into my cars cig lighter. It's pretty large but not more then I expected. I also loved the fast shipping and feel very satisfied with my purchase. I appreciate a company that cares for their customers. That seems so rare these days.

My Sony camera requires the use of a separate battery charger. However I needed the camera immediately and since I was leaving on a car trip, my only option was a car charger. That is where this little gem comes in play. I am now able to charge my camera, just as I do my phone, my gps and my mp3 player. When camping I realize that I can also use my air mattress pump. Handy device...and item was shipped immediately and received as advertised.

Power Acoustik WLHP-100 Wireless Infrared Headphones

Power Acoustik WLHP-100 Wireless Infrared HeadphonesWe bought these headphones for our 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan and they work perfectly. The dealership wanted $70 a pair for factory headphones and these work perfect. I highly recommend!

Awesome wireless headphones. These headphones worked quite well for my kids during the drive on our vacation. For the price they can't be beat and it provides you with peace and quiet during your drive. They work well with our Dodge Grand Caravan and with my friends Pontiac Montana. They are worth their weight in gold. You will not be disappointed.

Final plus, they automatically shut off after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Buy Power Acoustik WLHP-100 Wireless Infrared Headphones Now

I'll start first with the only bad thing I found with these headphones, and the reason they receive 4 stars instead of 5... the advertisement / branding. When I clicked the "Buy Now" button, I was under the impression, based on the product description, that I was purchasing a set of *Power Acoustic* name brand headphones, but what I received was a set of *Farenheit* (never heard of the brand before) headphones which may or may not be made by Power Acoustic. While the model # on the box is the same as that advertised in the product description, there are no markings whatsoever on the headphones or packaging that indicate that these are a Power Acoustic product. I do not appreciate being mis-led into making a purchase. This seems like a case of bait-and-switch to me. I did however know that this may occur, based on another reviewers comments, and I decided to purchase these anyway because of the low price and generally positive reviews.

I purchased these for my new-to-me 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. The van apparently was equipped with headphones from the factory, however I did not receive them when I bought the vehicle used, so I cannot compare these headphones to the OEM ones... I just know that they do work in my van.

After installing the (2) AAA batteries (not included), the headphones felt well balanced on my head (the batteries are on one side and the electronics on the other). The headphones are fairly light, so I don't foresee my daughter (almost 3) having a problem wearing them, however even when adjusted to the smallest size, they are still a little big on her head.

I assumed that these headphones would automatically work once I turned them on in the van, however after looking at the owners manual, I found that I have to turn on the headphone setting on the DVD player before they will work. Once that was done, it was smooth sailing. The head phones picked up the IR signal and the sound started playing. The volume is sufficient, and the sound quality is average but hey, so is watching a movie on a 6" screen. The headphones work well anywhere in the van except when moved toward the front two (driver / passenger) seats which I assume, is by design. Also, these headphones do not block out much of the ambient noise, so if you plan on listening to music while the kids watch movies, the kids might have a rough time hearing the movie if you don't turn off the rear speakers.

All in all I'm pleased with this product, and I'm glad I didn't have to pay the exorbitant price that the dealership wanted for a set of replacement headphones. I would recommend these headphones to friends, and if needed, I'll buy another set in the future.
