I lost the main battery charger for my camera battery, so I ordered this one. I like that the whole unit just plugs into the wall, rather than having a plug plus a long cord and then having to put the actual unit somewhere. Haven't tried out the car adapter charger yet.

Charger arrived on time, quick service. It was stated it was charger for L1-10B and L1-12B ( which is my battery) but on the package it stated for L1-10B battery nothing about the L1-12B... I did use it and it seemed to work OK, but was not real comfortable with using it!

This charger went with me to Europe and back and worked perfectly. The most appealing part of the deal for me was the EU adapter which also functioned as needed. It is really portable I had no problems carrying it through my travels. This charger kept my camera going for about a year until I lost my camera. I cant say how long it will function beyond a year, but it had no signs of slowing down.

Bought two of these car chargers and when I got them both in neither of them had any power. Most of these type DC chargers are bulky. This is so compact and light you could easily misplace it.

It does an excellent job at charging. You know it's on because of the light it has built in. It goes flush against the DC plug.

The Kensignton iPhone car charger I had been using for years still performed well, but since it was originally intended to be a charger and an accessory for a remote control (that no longer works) it was bulky and had an extra AUX cable attached to it that I wasn't really using.

It was until recently that I had the opportunity to order this Belkin car charger and I can confirm it was definitely quite the upgrade!

The first thing I liked was the size, the charger is pretty much the size of the cigarette lighter and only sticks out enough for you to see the green light when plugged and for you to connect the included USB cable. It does not take more room than required, that's a good thing for me. The USB cable included is designed for iPhone 4s and below, it also works with my regular iPod classic. I have to thank whoever designed this product because the USB cable they included does consider the fact that many iPhone/iPod users like to keep their devices in protective cases, the cable included is designed after the size of the original factory charger and the connector is long enough so it fits regardless of the case you may be using (after having to remove the protective case for years so I could charge my iPhone and iPod this is a most welcome change!)

Now that we have established the fact that the product is practical, how does it perform? The product description claims the charging times are faster. Well, after several tests I got an average time of charge of 1.15% per minute, using an iPhone 4 and an iPod classic. So say if you charge your device for an hour, you will get about 69% of battery. It is definitely slower than charging using a speaker dock, a computer or a power outlet, but in case of an emergency, it is good enough for me.

I have read you can use the charger with other USB devices, for my review, all tests were made with an iPhone 4 and an iPod classic (160GB)

Would I recommend it? Yes! The price is right, performs well and it is very practical to use in my car!

This is a nice USB car charger with a cable for the Apple iphone, fit for iphone 4s and other ipods. I understand the iphone 5 has a different type of charger but if you have an adapter that will allow it to fit the old types of charger then this will work fine for you.

What I like about this is that it is not just a car charger for iphone/ipods. Since it has a USB port, anything that you can charge with a USB cord can be used for this charger.

It is also very fast at charging up my phone and I have not had any problems with it. The charger itself is made well and I can see it lasting, unlike some other car chargers that I have had.

I have seen some chargers that have two USB ports so it would be nice if there was an extra port for another device that the person may have.

Overall, I'm satisfied with this and it is reliable and have had no issues.

I stream a lot of internet radio thru the Radio and Tune-In Radio apps on my Samsung Intercept Android phone. This product does a good job of both keeping my phone charged and producing a clear signal to my van's stock stereo. I have had numerous "cheapy" fm transmitters in the past and all of them died with daily commuter use in less than a years time. And ALL of them would produce a loud and annoying buzz sound should you happen to use the USB jack to try and charge your phone at the same time. NOT WITH THIS ONE FROM GOMADIC! This product eliminates that issue and is very flexible with a nice long cord to place your phone where ever you please in the front. I mount my phone on my vans dash with a handy air vent clip and now can run just 1 cable to the compact transmitter using my cigarette lighter without any clutter of cords trying to both charge my phone and use a transmitter. Both the transmitter and cord coming from it are of excellent quality and even at the not so cheap $40 out the door price point, I feel this will last as long as I want it to and save the hassle of replacing another cheap one down the road. Unlike many transmitters, this one is pretty basic in function, no EQ, no remote, and no output level adjustments. It is preset at the optimum level for sound out of the factory and can utilize the ENTIRE FM frequency bandwitth (87.5-107.9) I have it tuned to transmit to the 87.7fm station which is unused in my area and probably the same throughout the country! Anyway, 5 stars up to this product after a week using it so far. I researched and felt this was the best product out there for my purpose and its convenient double charging/transmitting capabilities. Anyone with a smartphone knows that your battery needs to be charged constantly when streaming or playing SD music. ALWAYS make sure you turn up the volume to the max on your phone/mp3 player to ensure your are sending the strongest possible signal thru the cord to the fm transmitter or you may notice static and/or need to turn your stereos volume far higher than needed. And just to conclude on another feature this product has that I am very happy about...it has a power on/off button right on the transmitter so there is no need to constantly plug/unplug your transmitter when getting in and out of your car. That alone was what killed 3 of my 5 previous transmitters! The other 2 died from the 3.5mm jack on the transmitter breaking or losing connection. This product won't have that problem because the cords are built into it! Buy!

I bought a used remote for $23.00 and followed the instructions in this you tube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQmpLjYryRw. It took me about 3 tries to get it to work. I spent probably about 20 minutes in total watching the video, jotting down the notes and programming the remote. Programming the remote mostly involves opening and closing the car door and sticking the key in the ignition.

Toyota was going to have to order the remote, then they were going to charge $150 for the remote and $99 to program it.

I am really glad that I bought this from Amazon rather than Toyota.

I bought this switch to use in my BMW 325i Chump Car. This switch interrupts the main power cable running from the battery in the trunk to the jump post under the hood (from there to the starter + alternator). The other terminals interrupt the ignition cable running from the ignition switch. Its large and easy to grip with gloved hands. The bright red On/Off sticker is easily visible to all of the team's drivers. About 30 minutes with some sheet aluminum and a really large drill bit and this switch had a custom mounting spot on the fabricated dash. Being that its rated for 600A, I am confident this switch will be safe and continue to work long after the car has been traded in for scrap metal money.

I am not in favor of battery items this small, hard to replace the battery's. Solor powered ? If you keep this in your glove box, where I do, you have to remember to take it out to recharge the battery. I forget, like most of us do, then have to leave the gauge in the sun for a recharge. Tough, then I should get a gauge that works on tire pressure only.

Unless you have leveraged crimpers (meaning allows you to apply several times more pressure than standard scissor-jointed crimpers) you're in for a bit of a fight.

The tool I was using was 2-8 gauge capable and fairly heavy duty, yet had to resort to rock-and-hammer/vice style crimping.

As long as you can deal with that, these get the job done.

I purchased a package of these (there are 2 to a pack, which also includes 2 short pieces of heat-shrink tubing), and another package containing Monster 200 Crimpable Ring Terminals (4-gauge, 5/16" stud). All of the connectors are identical with the simple exception of the diameter of the stud hole. These connectors have a 3/8" diameter hole, while the other set has a 5/16" diameter hole. The price is $3.95 with the small hole, and $9.99 with the 1/16" larger hole!!! The amount of metal surrounding the hole is the same for all connectors, so the customer pays $6.04 extra for 2 connectors with a 1/16" larger hole!! My recommendation: buy the identical connectors with the smaller hole. If you need the larger 3/8" diameter hole, simply clamp the terminal in a vise and enlarge the hole with a standard 3/8" drill bit. There is no way for the manufacturer or vendor to justify the price difference. The higher pricing for the terminals with the larger hole is simply a rip-off!

FOLLOW-UP: After posting the above review I contacted Amazon's customer service to complain about the inappropriate pricing on this item. Amazon replied the same day and issued a partial refund to me for $6.04, as I had requested. So I ended up paying the exact same price for the two different connectors. Amazon also stated that they were forwarding my complaint to their pricing office for a pricing review and consideration to correct this pricing discrepancy. An outstanding response from Amazon customer support!! EXCELLENT!

I use the weller to make sure they were soldered tips before crimping.

I bought this item about a month earlier, and straight out of the box I couldn't fit a USB into the USB slot. It was off center of the hole so I got some pliers and managed to pull it down enough to where the USB would plug into it but it wouldn't charge. I thought maybe since the USB was off center it may have had something to do with it so I gladly returned it to Amazon free of charge and bought another one. Straight out of the box the USB does not work, AGAIN. This one the USB actually went right into the slot though. As far as I know the cigarette sockets work but what's the point of including a USB slot on it if it's unusable? Another slight complaint is that the unit itself has scratches and scuffs on it almost appearing to be used instead of new.

Because we have older cars but wanted multiple 12 volt powered devices plugged in to the cigarette lighter for trips...I tried this. I do hate having wires and the thing sitting on the car floor....but having an easy way to plug in the GPS and Radar for trips is worth it. I just leave it on the garage counter until we are ready to travel...and then plug it all in. If I wasn't so cheap I would just buy a new car.... but this works great.

Ultra bright LED indicator does not exist.

DC jacks are too short for some common plugs... they plug in, but pop right out.

USB port was not aligned properly and doesn't seem to work at all, though I suspect the welds on the board were probably damaged by the angling and pushing required to get a usb cord plugged in... so it might have worked if it had been assembled/designed correctly.

I am glad I read the review from Eric. I purchased this to install in the cap in the back of my truck. After reading the review, I decided I better check mine before installing it. I connected an iPod to the USB port, and it did not work. The two other outlets do work. I tried the USB port on my GPS and it worked. I tried another iPod and cable, and it did not work. It seems to work on some and not others. There is no ultra bright LED light as description claims. There is no way to mount or install this unit, so I planned on using stick on velcro to mount it to the carpet in the cap.
