Last year I got my wife a vehicle alarm mostly for the remote start and had it professionally installed. Naturally, I got stuck with the extra remote (short range, 1 way). Bought the alarm/remote about a year ago, had a few glitches but nothing major. My installer took care of all the programming ie.window and motion sensor along with a backup battery. Tha remote has worked perfectly. I recently bought a spare just in case I lost or damaged my original one. Can't go wrong for the money.Maxx
