Schumacher PSJ-1812 DSR ProSeries 1800 Peak Amps Jump Starter and Portable Power Unit
The first day I used it I jumped a Mercedes SUV 3 times and the battery indicator still indicated above 75%. And it had no trouble boosting the large V6 engine. In fact it still has 75% power after using it to jump 5 other cars.
Its lightweight and thin and seems well built. I'm glad I bought this booster and the price was right given the cold cranking amps.I have owned 2 other jump starters over the years, but I've always had the problem of leaving them plugged only to have ruined them because of overcharging, so I have some experience using these kinds of units. I bought this unit almost a year ago and it has worked flawlessly! I charged it up when it arrived and didn't use it until maybe a month or so later when my Honda Odyssey's battery was dead (kids left the cabin lights on). It started the van right up no problems. Since then I have used it probably every couple months for myself or friends. One week we went camping with a few other families and the kids once again left the lights on in their respective vans. This thing started 3 vans right in a row without recharging. I say that is quality!

This jumper is all business. No useless features like a light, compressor or radio. Heavy and well built. Better than any big box store units including Craftsman. Cables are just the right length and very heavy gauge. Starts dead 4 cylinder cars with no effort. Also jumped a Silverado 6 cylinder. Once again no problem. I will also use this to power up my 12 volt Ham handheld radio when we lose power in this area. You will need to purchase a short extension cord to charge this. Every household has one of these. The best feature of this is that you can leave it plugged in to keep fully charged. If you buy A Jump-N-Carry and leave it plugged in you will fry your jumpers battery. I highly recommend this unit.Bought this after buddy recommended the brand; ashe's had similar about 10 yrs; now on his 3rd battery
replacement. Charged it 3 days as per sticker
and first use was on a Waverunner with a dead
battery that had not run in several months. It
cranked over fine but did not start. Waited
a couple minutes and cranked again and it started.
I checked the battery status of the jump pack and
it was still green.

What a great tool. Saved time and loads of stress. One caution, keep on low speed if your cordless has 2 settings. High speed seems to break the internal parts. So not industrial grade but simply awesome if you treat it like a plow horse instead of a race horse. And who could complain about a plow horse if the other option is to pull the plow yourself? ;-)Read Best Reviews of Allstar Performance ALL18205 Rivet Gun for Cordless Drill Here

Odyssey PC1200LMJT Automotive and LTV Battery
So finally I got the PC1200 for my Mustang. I was expecting the install to be a breeze, but I was in for a total surprise: This battery does not have any hold-down tabs on the bottom. Unlike the 1500 and 1750 that both have tabs, all sides on the 1200 are flat! There's no way the Mustang stock hardware can secure this battery. Fortunately I found a simple bracket (Google "Metal Battery Strap HDS") that works with most Ford and GM style OEM battery trays and is only $20.
However, after installing the aforementioned aftermarket bracket, I stubled onto another issue: While the bracket makes sure to keep the battery in place in case of an accident, it does not prevent the battery from sliding around inside the tray. It turns out the battery glides rather easily because the bottom is not flat the metal jacketing is folded down the sides of the battery, creating a 1/2" wide "frame" and the battery slides in the tray just like if it was on furniture glides. Tightening down the aftermarket bracket hard would probably solve the problem, but this is IMHO a bad idea since the bracket might be pressing down on spots on the battery that are not created to withstand pressure and this may possibly damage the battery. I solved the problem by attaching an 8x7" piece of 3/16" thick self-adhesive Neoprene rubber pad to the bottom of the battery. This gives excellent friction agains gliding since the non-sticky side of the pad molds itself to the bottom of the tray (which is not completely flat) and the battery now sits rock steadily in place. Finally I'm completely happy with the install!

This battery is perfect for Jeep Wrangler TJ (1997-2006). It fits in the stock location without any modifications, utilizing the stock hold-downs no problem. The battery is actually slightly smaller than stock.Since this is a sealed battery, it is great for off-roading, where a classic battery could spill due to extreme angles. And since this is a deep-cycling battery it is well matched for heavy electrical winch use.
A metal jacket gives an extra layer of protection to the tough construction.
This battery handled years of abuse in my jeep, and I replaced it with the same model.

Wagan 2577 Personal Fridge/Warmer - 7L Capacity
Buy Wagan 2577 Personal Fridge/Warmer - 7L Capacity Now
I bought this cooler for a family road trip. Just before we left I filled it with 6 bottles of orange juice from the fridge the night before and put them inside. They were still nice and cool when we drank them. There was still plenty of room for yogurt, string cheese and apples for the kids. I love how it helps us save money and eat better by bringing our own healthy snacks from home instead of stopping for fast food when the kids get hungry. The cup holders are a nice addition too.Read Best Reviews of Wagan 2577 Personal Fridge/Warmer - 7L Capacity Here
My wife and I had to make a 5 hour trip to a neighboring state to visit family. We had medication that needs to be kept refrigerated and at the hotel/motel we were staying at over the weekend, they did not offer a fridge in the room. So instead of getting a cooler and playing the "dump and refill the ice" game, I opted to purchase this product. As some other users have pointed out, this is a cooler, not an actual fridge. Perhaps calling the product a "personal fridge" could be misleading. The price was decent, compared to some others out there and it does keep things cool (have not yet tried the warmer). Our jeep had a cigarette lighter plugin that still pumped out power when the jeep was turned off, so in short instances where we had to stop for dinner/lunch, the cooler kept on working. One thing to note in the instructions, it does say not to leave it plugged in that way and make sure you unplug it before starting the vehicle again this little cooler does suck some battery power.I ended up having to buy a converter to be able to plug the power into the wall socket from a cigarette lighter. DO NOT USE the converters that are used for cell phones! They do not output enough amps. I made this mistake and it melted the converter that was plugged into the wall. Wagan does sell a converter that is made this product. Since I was already in the middle of my trip, I bought a similar converter from the local W-mart and picked up a Coleman branded converter. It worked and the cooler kept the meds cool for the next 2 days without incident. For what I bought it to do, it did the job well. The only cons to this product is that the product looks and feels a little cheaply made and labels that are placed in the front of the switches, looked like it was (crookedly) placed there by a child. Other than that it is a decent product.

Car Kit Mp3 Player Wireless Fm Transmitter Bluetooth with Remote Control
The only way to do this with this device is to plug my phone into the device with the cable that is included.
FM transmitter works great.
Music sounds great through FM transmitter.I got the new iPhone 5 for Christmas and needed to order a new FM Transmitter for my car. The transmitter that I had been using worked pretty well with minimal interference. However, this one was a hassle. Regardless of what station I tuned, there was still static interference. Normally this wouldn't be a serious distraction, however the music would literally cut out from time to time. Maybe it's user error rather than an issue with the product, but either way I was disappointed with this purchase.

I scoured the posts on my batteries in my golf cart 6 months ago. I was surprised to see acid and corrosion buildup a couple of weeks ago. I used this terminal protector to see if I can slow this buildup down. The only thing I didn't like was the way it went on. I was expecting some type of foam to appear to seal the entire battery post. It came out in spurts and it was hard to get the entire post and battery cable protected. I'll check the batteries again in a couple of months to see if this really works.Read Best Reviews of CRC 05046 Technician Grade Battery Terminal Protector - 7.5 Wt Oz. Here

Chamberlain CLULP1 Universal Laser Garage Parking Assist
The installation was extremely straightforward since the units were attached to a Chamberlain system. One potential "gotcha" is that the wiring that comes with the unit is too short for most garages. You will likely need to buy some additional two conductor wire and spice it to the end of the existing wire.
These units can be used with non-Chamberlain systems or for that matter in a garage without any opener system. Each unit is supplied with a plug in the wall AC adaptor. With the unit attached to the adaptor, the laser stays on all the time. Obviously, I can't comment about how long the unit would last when set up this way.I bought this unit thinking how could I go wrong with a Chamberlain product. I was wrong, this product is simply a waste of time and money. The laser beam is so small and weak that it's nearly impossible to see and even harder to adjust. I played with it for several hours trying to get the beam to stay in one place long enough to test it. I have it firmly mounted to my ceiling and it moves by itself when trying to adjust it. Then once it's close to where you want it, the beam is so small and weak that you can't see it unless the car is stopped. I would not recommend spending the money on this prodct. There are many more garage parking assist products that work much better and are cheaper.

Don't use those annoying looking "tennis balls" hanging from the ceiling! get this laser parking assist to give your garage that clean sleek look it used to have.I bought this and installed it on my Chamberlain 3/4 HP Whisper Drive in about 5 minutes. It comes with wires and a power plug. If you are using this with a Chamberlain, you will not need to connect the power plug. All you do is connect 2 wires onto the quick connect plugs on the garage opener that control the safety sensor and that's it.
When you open the garage door, and walk pass the eyes, the laser comes on. The laser shuts off after awhile but once you walk pass the sensors again, the laser comes on. This is perfect if you leave your garage door open, leave and come back. It will trigger the laser no matter what goes through the garage.
The light pulsates and you point and adjust it to where you want it to beam. I wish it was brighter, but it works.
Easy to install, cheap, and works great. I recommend it.

We added these to a Genie screw driver opener, but really if you don't have a Champerlain opener with the dedicated input for these laser lights then all installs will be the same. Your objectives is to:a. Mount each light on the ceiling with a single screw. We mounted two lights because we had two parking spaces in our garage.
b. Run the wires to the garage door opener control head. We chose to run the wire up through the ceiling and into the crawl space above, and then drill a single 1/4 hole above the door opener and drop them down to the opener through this hole. If you drill the holes at the light end, where the middle of the light will be when mounted, then the wires won't show. A much cleaner installation for very little extra effort.
c. Attach the wires to one of your openers bulb socket so the laser lights go on/off with the garage door opener when you open/close the door, and off when the lights automatically turn off. This is made easy by buying a lamp socket to 110v two prong outlet adapter (about 80 cents at the hardware store), taking out one of the bulbs, screwing in the adapter, connect the wires from the laser lights to a single 110v adapter, and then plug this adapter into the outlet adapter. To keep the same level of light in the garage I replaced the 40 watt incandescent bulb with a 75 watt equiv florescent bulb in the one remaining lamp socket. At this point if you open/close the door you'll see the lasers pulsating (blinking).
d. This is the hardest part. Park your cars exactly where you want them in the garage. Now, aim the laser at a point on your dashboard which is easy to see. The movements are sensitive so this takes time.. but once set it's permanent and will only need to be done again when/if you change your car or the position you want it parked. We chose a spot on the middle of the top dash pad exactly in the middle so as we pull the car in we can watch it "walk" it's way up the dash and to the location we want.
e. Be sure to explain to all drivers how things work. For instance, if the garage door remains open and the lights time out the lasers will go off.. so if the door is open and the car outside, you sweep out the garage or whatever leaving the door open.. then when you put the car inside the laser will not be on. Someone just might keep going forward looking for that light to go on, far enough to hit something in front of the car. :)

Great idea, however the projected dot is too small and not bright enough to be able to see. If they made one with some power I would snap it up, until then save your money.Tuesday, February 11, 2014

The advertisement was to good to be true, so don't be fooled by the items advertisement as it does not work. Directions are complete crap and very vague! Went to review the 11 17 second clips that it did record, but could only see 5 seconds of the recording before getting an error message. Used and 8 gig mini HCSD, so size should not be the issue. Very disappointed with the product.I bought one last week. It arrived very quickly. I tested it immediately after I got it. The manual is very simple. So it took me a while to figure out how to use it. The main problem for this product is that the quality of the acquired image is very very poor. The image is totally blurred, no matter whether the objects are far or close. After I played it for half an hour, I decided to return it.I took a chance and purchase this item. It was worth it. I am using a 32GB Micro SD card have it set to record @ 5 minutes intervals.
I am very please with this item. I would not recommend for night use due to the fact that the LED light are very bright and would be an distraction to un-coming traffic.
Other than that the quality is not HD but you can't get anything with a better price budget.camera has suprisingly good video quality, the only downside we haven't recorded any falling meteorites yet. if you need accountability on a road this one is a good choice.I concur with the previous review that camera will stop recording in 15 seconds to 4 minutes depending on Loop setting if the camera sees no motion (this is a separate issue from Motion Detection setting). I spent many hours of trial and error to get around this bug and could not do it. No documentation on Motion Detection and Gsensor setup options. Another example was Loop recording options were 1,2,3 minutes not 5,10,15 minutes as stated in the poorly written manual. I had version 1.00 of the firmware (2012/11/13). Camera has potential; the image quality was good for a $55 camera at all the selectable resolutions. I bet version 2.00 will work. Returned it.

- Support Memory Card :SDHC Class 64GB ~ 32GB, proprietary file format
- GPS module support ,G Sensor Support
Overall picture is blurry and round "pillow-like", nothing is possible to read, not even a license plate of a car standing right in front! Come on people, it's 2012 already, 0.3mp VGA cameras are out of market like 10 years ago. Camera is worthless in any insurance claim as well, if anything happens they require HD quality. So unless you want just to view the roads you drove and what was happening in car at that time, which maybe helps to taxicab drivers, otherwise it's loss of money, 1 star and returned immediately. For what it is, this is a great little DVR. I got mine, put in a MicroSD card, plugged in two wires, and it just worked. Build quality is much better than I expected, it feels like it's put together solidly. For the price that I paid, I was expecting loose fitting, thin plastic shell that creaked and flexed when holding it, this does not do that.
Video quality isn't bad, although it is low resolution. This is clearly stated on the product page in multiple places, so I'm not sure why other reviewers seem surprised by this. Any camera with as wide angle of a lens as this has will have difficulty making out license plates, regardless of the resolution. If you're wanting a camera to read license plates with, get something with a narrower field of view and a high resolution sensor. If you want something that clearly shows what's going on in and around your car, get this one.
Also, this isn't mentioned in the review page, but this unit does show your speed on it. It's only shown in KPH though, there are no options to change it to MPH.
This isn't related to the product review, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Mine was shipped VERY fast. It was well packaged, and arrived in excellent condition. I noticed a lot of people mentioning that they received their cameras poorly packaged and beat up. The seller that I bought mine from was EXCELLENT. It shipped from California, not over seas. The package arrived in good enough shape to be in a retail display.
Pros:
It works well, for what it's designed to do
Exterior camera is wide angle enough to show both sides of the hood, and what's beyond it
Interior camera is wide angle enough to show the entire inside of my pickup, and both side windows
Can easily play back the video (In very low resolution) on the device, without needing to hook it to a computer
Seems to be built well
Cons:
Poorly translated manual, although the device is simple enough to use that this shouldn't be a problem. All menus on the device appear to be translated well.
Requires proprietary software to view playback on a PC.
Mount is relatively large. I've got a pickup with a fairly large windshield, the camera and mount seems to take up a lot of it. This could probably be helped with an aftermarket mount, since the camera uses a standard thread for the mount.
There's a flashing icon on the display, I'm not sure what it means. The manual says nothing about it. It may be because I'm currently using a slower MicroSD card than they recommend.
It would be nice if the wiring harness for the GPS & power were smaller
Overall, I'm very happy with this unit, and would certainly recommend it.Their idea of High Definition and mine are a little different. All and all, it's a fairly nice Dash Cam. If you're looking for true High Definition though, it's not going to happen with this one. Good Luck!I've had this product for many months now and I really enjoy having it, it definitely was worth the money. During the day it is great, however at night, unless you are on a light highway, it is useless. But I enjoy the GPS feature, and the gravity sensor. It has 24hr time which I also like, It isn't extremely intuitive, but you only set it up once and rarely download video onto your computer, so it's not a big deal. It said it worked with a mac, however I tried many time and eventually just gave in and looked at the video on my windows 8 laptop.
This camera is a great buy for the money! I was looking for something simple and would cover me if pulled over by the police or in an accident. I also use this camera on the track and it works great. For the money this is an EXCELLENT value.
Pros
* Dual lenses, so you can record both inside and out, but you also have the option to record only out or only inside.
* Suction cup for mounting and it holds up on a 1 G turn!
* Holds up to a 32 Micro SD (sold separately)
* Video downloads super easy
* Camera can be flipped depending on your windshield (my corvette is very steep)
Cons
* GPS isn't built in, so if you want to use that option you will need to plug it in. (I never use it)
* Not the best for night time driving, but I do mostly day time driving.
* Instructions are useless, but I figured everything out pretty quick.
* Downloads are video only. If you have the GPS plugged in you can't download that information (Playback only)
My camera has captured a few different accidents in front of me and the victims loved that I caught everything on this for their insurance companies.
Some of the people are complaining that the camera isn't true HD or it doesn't have built in night vision or the instructions are hard to understand... What do you expect from a dash cam under $60?

This case was EXACTLY what I needed. I purchased a new car recently, from a private seller, and the keychain hole was broken and they had it attached with duct tape. I went to a local lock smith to see what could be done and the only thing they told me was to get a completely new one (costing over $100!!!). I kept looking, and then came across a new case instead of replacing the entire thing. It was delivered quickly, and SO easy to put together. It works just as well as before, and looks 10x better!
