Long term use update: Jan 8, 2012
Have been extremely satisfied with this product after over a year use.
Plugged in continuously and not used car for over a month, did not drain battery and start car without any problem. So must be drawing very little power.
Upgrade to 5 stars Dec 26,2012:
Reason : the 2 USBs I have no problem charging any device I have : IPod, BlackBerry PlayBook, Star N8000 (Samsung Note clone),LG Optimus, Kindle Fire HD, battery charger. Would be interesting if an IPad can be charged since it requires higher amps? What a deal! I bought three of these BESTEK Twin 12 Volt 24 Volt DC Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Charger Splitter 150W with Dual USB Ports for each of our cars, when they were on sale on Amazon.com. Bought them to recharge cell phones and iPod players at the same time. So far, we've actually only used one, so can't comment on whether the others work as well.
This device DOES NOT charge a laptop or tablet device such as an iPad, nor will it run a small DVD player. When I called Bestek to ask about the different model numbers listed on Amazon for what appeared to be the same phone/iPod charging device, the guy I spoke to told me this wouldn't charge the other things, but I already knew this. I wasn't buying it for that anyway. I've got a power converter that does charge laptops and runs DVD players, though I rarely use those, except on long car trips, and I've had that converter for many years now. So, if you want to charge an iPad, laptop or DVD player, get a different product that works for those.
My daughter's '04 Jetta sedan only has one cigarette lighter socket in the whole vehicle, so only one thing can be used or recharged at a time. This becomes a real problem when she travels because she has to choose one over the other. Well, not anymore. Now she, and whoever else is in the car, can recharge a cell phone while also listening to the music from an iPod thru the radio and charging the iPod at the same time. We have only been using it for a few days, but so far, it has worked perfectly charging my iPhone and her Nokia cell phone at the same time, or charging her Nokia phone and listening to her iPod thru the radio too.
We really like the blue light in it for finding it at night, but the light is on ONLY when it's plugged in. Since the Bestek device is mostly black, as is the interior of the Jetta (and many other vehicles), the blue light goes off once it's unplugged; so, finding it when it's dark in the car and it isn't plugged in is not so easy. So, when it's unplugged, I recommend putting the device in the same location every time so it's easier to find, such as in a car door pocket, between seat and center arm rest, or in the glove box. We leave it inbetween the seat and the center armrest as her door pockets and glove box are full of other things.
NOTE: You MUST unplug it after you turn off the vehicle, so you don't drain the vehicle's battery. Most vehicles don't shut down all the power to things such as lights and lighter sockets. Of our 3 cars, only our Subaru completely shuts down, so theoretically, it could be left plugged in, but only in that car. It's good that the blue light is on to remind you to unplug it.Since this charger can deliver 2 amps for each connection, I thought it would work well to charge the iPad. The standard iPad charger is rated at 2.1 amps, but the iPad can work with lower current power ports. When I plugged the iPad in, it recognizes the connection, but says 'Not Charging'. I have read that when the iPad says 'Not Charging', it may be receiving a small amount of charge. Still this doesn't seem optimal. The workaround was that I was able to able to plug a Griffin Technology PowerJolt Plus 2 amp Power Charger for iPad, iPhone and iPod (Black) designed to charge the iPad into one of the Cigarette outlets on the Bestek and then the iPad charges fine. Simultaneously I was then able to charge an iPod Touch and a Samsung Intercept phone through the two USB ports. The Bestek also worked fine when connected to a RoadPro RP-203EC 12V 12' Extension Cord with Cigarette Lighter Plug. So overall the device offers a nice way to charge multiple devices in the car for those long trips with the family, but recognize the iPad charging limitation.High-quality, sleek, portable little unit that works exactly as advertised. Using the vehicle's single 12-volt DC socket, provides two 12-volt DC sockets and two USB ports to simultaneously charge four devices: our Garmin GPS, Motorola Android phone, Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headset, and Gomadic backup battery pack. Cord length is ample for placing everything conveniently, and all the devices can be used while charging. Very cool, versatile, efficient, compact, and practical product.I read a number of reviews to find an adapter that would suit our needs for a fair price. This one works well. It doesn't get hot and it stays snugly in the socket. The longer cord came in handy for a long trip as it was useful for the back seat passenger to juice up some gadgets. No problems using USB and 12v simultaneously.

Black Universal 3in1 Emergency Battery Power Bank, FM Transmitter, Hands Free Car Kit
I wanted something sturdy to protect it from scratches and crushing, as sometimes things can get crushed in overhead bins when someone gets a bit overzealous in cramming their stuff in an already full bin. This item is listed as a hard case, so I thought I'd give it a try. I guess I couldn't have expected aluminum for the price at which this was offered, but it is a bit lightweight in terms of being a hard case. Without tearing the nylon covering off the material used, it feels as if it's a light weight plastic underneath. I rated the item a 4-star primarily for this reason. The phrase hard case just brings to mind something a little sturdier.
Truth be told, it will probably do just fine in most cases for me and I don't anticipate it being a problem, as long as I'm mindful of this. I'll just have to keep in mind that it isn't sturdy enough to toss in a pile of bags, or to not pay attention when placing it into overhead bins or gate checking a backpack. Under those conditions, it could crush enough to contact the screen of the GPS unit and lead to damage, particularly if something with a sharp corner presses against it with a bit of pressure. I'll just have to keep it in mind and be careful...
For the price, I'm pleased with what I received and would buy another if needed at this time. I'll post back if I run into any problems, or if it doesn't hold up as long as I think it should for the price and it's intended usage. This hard case for my Nuvi 1690 is very nice and came at a very attractive price point...would definitely buy again!

Got this for my trip to the East Coast and parts of Canada. Was going to be driving after flying into NYC. I didn't want my new gps to get damaged in the luggage, so I purchased this holder/protector. Its sturdy, has a double zipper,an inside mesh net to hold small items and outside has a loop with a plastic carbine. It also came with a 4.3" screen protector for my garmin. Overall, I liked the product. It did its job. I'd recommend it.I was impressed with the Nice case and great service from this Amazon purchase. I will definitely continue to shop here for future purchases.Want Black Universal 3in1 Emergency Battery Power Bank, FM Transmitter, Hands Free Car Kit Discount?

Cellular Innovations Tune Free FM Transmitter for MP3 Players
- Works with all ipods , plays music from any portable fm-equipped audio device, wirelessly transmits audio on fm frequencies,
- Tune-free transmitter plugs into audio device, set the transmitter & a stereo to the same fm frequency
- 9.84-FT Operating range, up to 15 hours of operating time, standby time: 45 days, requires 2 aa batteries, 1-year war
Also, to transmit to my bathroom's shower radio, if I drew an imaginary line through the 3 walls, I would say it is about 17-20 feet away. To get to the kitchen, that is also going through at least 3 walls, and I'd say it's closer to 20-25 feet away. Pretty sweet! :)
One final note when I first plugged it into my laptop, I had it actually sitting ON my laptop just to see what would happen. I got a lot of static / loud hum from my kitchen radio. But the instant I took it OFF my laptop and set it a whopping TWO INCHES away, it worked perfectly. Just a hint for non-tech people who don't understand interference. Both my laptop screen AND my 26" widescreen external monitor were on, but some people with older monitors might want to turn theirs off to keep any possible hum and/or interference down.

I've had a car with a broken tape deck and sporadic power supply to the lighter outlet, so I have always needed a battery-powered FM transmitter for listening to my iPod in my car. This one is the cheapest one I've ever had and so far the best. The signal is strong. I recently drove from Minneapolis to Detroit and back and only had to mess around with changing the stations once each way--waaaaay better than any of my other transmitters (the Griffin iTrip was the worst). The sound quality is adequate, but not perfect. As other reviewers have said bass can get distorted. I remedy that by turning the volume on my iPod down and turning up the volume on my car stereo. Every once in a while there is extra static, but it's almost exclusively when there is someone in my passenger seat. It may just be a combo of my car's FM receiver and the TuneFree transmitter, but it's not a huge deal. Battery lasts much longer than I expect it to. The only other drawback is that the blue light is super bright. It's a good way to gauge how low the battery power is getting though--if it doesn't hurt to stare directly into the blue light, you should keep some spare batteries around. I give this 5 stars because it works better than most more expensive devices and the slight drawbacks are not that much of a problem, especially when considering the face that this is under $20. I will also add that the device feels very cheap and flimsy, but I have had mine floating around in my purse for over a year and it's still working as well as it did when I got it.Read Best Reviews of Cellular Innovations Tune Free FM Transmitter for MP3 Players Here
I replaced a $8 piece of junk(bought only a week ago) with this and I made a awesome choice... Connected this to my computer and I am rocking crystal clear songs from my stereo system. It transmits clear waves, static-free tunes. This is definitely a 5-star product and worth the money. This product comes with a 1-year warranty also. As mentioned by others, it has a very bright blue light and I am thinking this sucks most of your battery. I have not tested the battery life as yet. But if you have rechargeable AAA batteries, don't even think twice to buy this product. You will love the clarity this showers you with. The only short fall is, it comes with a short cord and not with a coiled cord. But if you are not bothered about having short cord, this product is awesome in all ways. Just follow the instructions on the small user guide this comes with. Don't worry, instructions are also crystal clear and you will figure it out.UPDATE after more than 1 year (on 31-July-2010):
Still fully functional and really nice. No regrets on this. Battery life has been staying for over 10 hours easily.

This is a very good FM transmitter. I always use to have static interference with my old plug-in transmitter. This one has not had any static problems and works flawlessly. You can take it anywhere and make use of its very good range. One time I used it to make my own radio station that my roommates could listen to on their radios.Cons:
It needs battery replacements every 15-20 hours. (last me 3 weeks at the rate that I used it.)
Blue LED in the front is WAY too bright.I was hesitant to buy it, but I'm pleasently surprised !
Pros:
Transmitted Music from my laptop to my home theatre system, which is about 5 meters away. When I hit pause on my music, I hear absolute silence .. it's amazing ! No hiss.
Great transmitter basically, I'm keeping it although it has it's draw backs.
Cons:
Packaging feels kind of cheap.
No digital controls or display, frequency is selected using a a set of switches according to the combination.
No fancy electronics in there to condition the audio input. You have to pick a good volume for the audio you send to it: if it's too loud, it will saturate and beats start to sound bad, and if it's too low you will have to turn your radio receiver up, and you start to pick up hiss from FM.
I still love it.

Finevu NEW CR-500HD 16gb Full Hd Record Car Vehicle Black Box Recorder Camera Racing 1920x1080p@30f
- Ultra High Full HD 1080p Dash Cam Video Recording with SONY Exmor CMOS Sensor
- 2MP FULL HD Quality Video Recording with Fast Lens
- Customized Recording Modes 1080p Full HD / 720 HD
- Recording Frame 30fps / 24fps / 15fps / 5 fps
- Camera: 2,000,000 pixels
The camera attaches to the window with a special kind of double sided tape specifically for glass. Once you attach to window, it is on. The tape can be removed, but it is hard. I placed mine just right of my rear view mirror and to the left of my sun shade. I rand the power cord around the window, down the pillar, under my dash, and into the center column. The camera can be used with an always on power supply, but I choose not to use this feature. I only use the camera while I am driving. It has a parking mode and motion detection, but I disabled those two options. The camera speaks commands every time it changes modes. The camera will start recording the second power is turned on. It will beep and say "recording on". When the power is turned off, the camera beeps and will complete the current video recording, save it to the memory card, and then shut down. There are buttons on the back that you can use. The camera can take still pictures, mute audio recording, and save current video as an emergency event. This can all be controlled by the buttons on the back of the camera. When the camera is connected to a Windows PC, the camera beeps and says "USB mode". The camera shows up as a mass storage device with folders for different events. It has three folders called Event, Normal, Photo. Normal video is stored in the normal folder, shock events and emergency events are saved in the Event Folder and still photo's are stored in the Photo folder. All you do is copy and paste videos and photos to your computer. It is that easy. The camera has three G sensors that detect excessive amount of G-forces. If it detects any excessive G-force it thinks you have been in a wreck and will save video 5 seconds before and 35 seconds after the event, in total 40seconds of video. The camera saves video in AVI format so you would need a player that plays that format. Finevu offers a media player for the camera, but you have to download it from their web site. The camera has the settings software on the memory card so you can change the settings. All you do is click on the .EXE and install onto your Windows PC. After installation, you can change all sorts of settings. The camera can even format a new micro SDHC card if you decide to use a different card that you purchased separately. I am impressed so far by the camera. It is still too early to really give it good thumbs up. Finevu did a good job making a fine DVR black box. If they ever come out with newer products, I would buy from them again. Just keep selling on Amazon, and I will keep giving you my money. I do have a suggestion. If and when Finevu makes a new DVR black box, can you please include WIFI along with an IOS app? It would be very cool to be able to use my iPhone to record, watch, play back, change settings, and add multiple cameras?? It would be really cool to be able to control and view from multiple cameras. I could install a second camera in the back to record drivers behind me. If you added this to your next DVR black box, I would be first in-line to spend my money.I bought this camera after encountering couple idots on the road who were looking to create an accident. Also, saw a bunch of clips on youtube about accidents in Russia. This device will help provide objective picture for some complicated situations on the road. Might even help another person who got into accident in front of me.
Video quality is amazing in daylight and quite good at night. The camera is small (good for inconspicuous mounting) and very light. I liked the long power cable which allowed me to install the camera in my Odyssey without any visible hanging wires -it looks very professional.
I've put 32Gb (max allowed size) in it and it should be able to hold 2-3 days worth of recordings. Afterwards the oldest clip gets overwritten with latest. The camera records .avi files with 3 minute recordings.
I recommend disabling shock sensor for driving mode or you'll end up with a lot of false "Event" recordings after hitting pretty much any bump. "Event" recordings stay on the card and don't get auto-erased and this will lead to eventually full SD card. With disabled shock sensor this won't be an issue. This is a great little dash cam that is very simple to use. It comes with a 16GB micro SD card that can hold a decent amount of 1080p footage before having to overwrite data. The memory card has separate folders for "normal" footage and "event" footage (e.g. an accident) to prevent video of accidents from being overwritten with the normal footage. However, even changed to it's lowest sensitivity level setting, this camera's shock sensor is WAY too sensitive. It will go off when rolling over speed bumps (even the smooth ones), sloping curbs, etc. It got so annoying, I simply turned off this feature altogether. The camera can also be switched to "parking mode" which will record video if motion or impact is detected. I even use this as a security camera at the small office I work at, since where I park the wide angle lens views the front parking lot, cul-de-sac, and neighboring business. The camera will not drain your vehicle's battery, as it will shut off before your vehicle battery drops below a certain voltage.
The video quality is superb--fine enough to easily read license plate numbers and street signs. So far I've used this in the rain, sun, and at night, all with excellent results. The camera comes with a micro SD to SD adapter for use with any standard SD card reader. Thankfully, the videos are in a standard .avi format for easy viewing. The files are in chunks of a couple minutes each and clearly named with the date and time. It couldn't be easier to get to the footage you need!
I was disappointed that the camera only came with a mount requiring double-sided tape to attach to your windshield. I wish they had included a high-suction mount like portable GPS units use. It would be nice to be able to move the mounting point with ease not possible with a more permanent tape mount. They do include 5 clips (also with double-sided tape) for cable management, which is really nice. I was able to route the wires well enough that this camera looks professionally installed with no slack wire visible. And they give you PLENTY of length on the 12V adapter cable used to power the unit.
Mac users beware. You will be unable to change the camera settings without access to a Windows computer, as they only provide a .exe configuration app (a USB cable is provided to attach the camera to your computer as a "disk"). However, the camera disk image mounts perfectly on a Mac and you can access all video files with ease (or by using the SD adapter).
Also please note that this camera does NOT have a built-in GPS unit, so you will not have a speed and location readout on the video files unless you purchase FineVu's separate GPS unit that attaches to the camera.
I can't recommend this camera enough. And it feels so much better driving with a witness that doesn't lie. It tells the truth in HD ;-)Crystal clear image, audio capture is very good, small enough to hide behind your rear view mirror so it's not obvious it's even installed to even myself or passengers. It automatically starts recording when car is turned on and no skips in video. In a nut shell this its the best dash camera in the market so far. Expensive for sure but the pic quality is so so good. Keep in mind the HD 1080p thing exists in some other cameras too but this is the only one that delivers it at 30fps. Meaning better pictures at day or night. I owned briefly the other model from the same company FineVu PRO Full-HD 1080p but it delivers 1080 at I believe 15 fps if I am not mistaken. Trust me there is a big difference.
My only negatives with it is:
1Doesn't work with Macs. You need to download a converter called iSkysoft Video Convertor http://www.iskysoft.com Free at the beginning then you have to buy it. Excellent program by the way.
2The light from the buttons on the back of the unit are at night a little bit of annoyance.
However these are minor negatives when the main purpose is top quality videos in case of an accident God forbids.
BTW I also suggest you use the cam with the Panavise 809 Camera Window Suction-Cup Mount sold on Amazon. Its much better to use suction cup than the fixed 3M that comes with it. This way you can move the camera from car to car. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000246ST6/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Also you can buy a permanent wiring for it from Amazon too FineVu Dash Cam Uninterrupted Power Cable, Continuous Power Usage for Finevu Cr-500hd, Cr-300hd Car Black Box http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BWWRD46/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A4Z7UY2RWHCRJ
One more thing, Don't do like I did by purchasing a a larger capacity memory card 64GB which won't work with it. I guess its capped at 32GB.

Black Widow - BWS-386 - 2 Button Replacement Transmitter Remote - 303MHz., Red L.E.D. - FCC ID# J55
The remote is new and the size is the same, the button 2 shows a trunk and it does not match my particular remote specs. Just a detail that does not affect functionality but keeps me from giving it 4 stars.
RecommendedWhen I recently lost my car keys along with the alarm transmitter, I assumed it would cost a small fortune to replace the unit or worse a new alarm as mine is over 10 years old.
The replacement transmitter (remote) I ordered was received in a couple days and thanks to your easy set up instructions, my unit was matched up with my alarm in about 5 minutes. What a relief...Thank you!very disappointed in this product...specifications do not work with my automobile.a waste of my money..would not recommend to my friends

Roadpro 12V Battery Clip-On and Cigarette Lighter Adapter
Buy Roadpro 12V Battery Clip-On and Cigarette Lighter Adapter Now
I bought this cable to go along with the viair 85P portable air compressor, that way I didn't blow fuses. As soon as I opened the cable, I noticed it was only a couple feet long, which is not very long, but I was happy anyway.. The clamps also don't open up far enough to connect to a battery terminal securely.
I took it outside and plugged it up to my compressor, popped the hood of my car and as soon as I opened the clamp the positive wire fell out of the clamp.
Once I inspected the wire and the clamp, you could clearly see there was almost NO solder on the wire, and what little bit was on it was a "cold joint". The cable was also not crimped to the clamp like it was suppose to be (it looks like someone forgot to crimp it) , which is another reason it came apart.
I went ahead and pulled the sleeve off the negative clamp and noticed it WAS crimped (unlike the positive clamp), but the solder was also very little and cold-jointed.
Both clamps were also forming rust around the solder connections where the wire goes.
LUCKY FOR ME, I own a soldering station, so I disassembled both clamps, cleaned up the rust, re-soldered them on PROPERLY and THEN crimped them. They work perfect now and should never come loose again.
This is the first time I've ever rated a product 1 star, but when it literally falls apart as soon as you remove it from the box , it deserves 1 star.
I'm just glad I wasn't stuck somewhere on the road with a flat when it fell apart on me. Luckily I ALWAYS test my equipment before I rely on it for emergency use.
I wouldn't recommend this product unless you own a soldering iron and want to take the gamble of fixing it yourself or returning it to amazon.
EDIT: I bought another set of these cables, and they were properly crimped and soldered, I will upgrade my rating from 1 star to 2 stars, but RoadPro needs to improve their Quality Control.

Works as advertised. The little clamps should be much bigger the same size as what you have on light duty jumper cables. This way they would connect securely. Also, the short wire supplied should be a tad thicker. Main concern and 4 stars is b/c of the clamps being small and not very secure on battery terminals.Want Roadpro 12V Battery Clip-On and Cigarette Lighter Adapter Discount?
Very handy to toss in the trunk. Using this will protect your ciggy lighter socket that could get overloaded. Every car should have one. I use it for an air pump and a very powerful camp light.Note, most lighter plugs are limited to around 10 amps by fuse or circuit breaker in addition they have long run of small (higher resistance) wire to the jack which 'may' cause a voltage drop to your equipment.
Short of 'hard wiring directly' this is the next best thing.
This has none of that and of course it's the same as hooking directly to the battery so know what you are doing (sparks, load, polarity, fingers)...
You might also want to pick up a heavy duty male to female ciggy plug extension cord...

This case was EXACTLY what I needed. I purchased a new car recently, from a private seller, and the keychain hole was broken and they had it attached with duct tape. I went to a local lock smith to see what could be done and the only thing they told me was to get a completely new one (costing over $100!!!). I kept looking, and then came across a new case instead of replacing the entire thing. It was delivered quickly, and SO easy to put together. It works just as well as before, and looks 10x better!Saturday, September 14, 2013
FM Transmitter USB Charger
I would like to meet whoever is going to charge triple A batteries in this thing, though. wtf? To me it's a waste of space, but whatever. It doesn't really hurt anything to have it. What if you come across a pack of 3 rechargeable aaa batteries, you know? The only two things that make this lose a star is the fact that it has a button for powering it on rather than a switch. You have to long-hold that button for like 3 seconds to power it on, then press it the number of times you want to get to your channel. The power plug only goes out 90 deg like you can see in the picture, so in my car I have to have the LED lights faced down and it barely plugs into my cig lighter. Sometimes I'll get it powered on and go to switch to channel 2 (a slightly cleaner channel, I have never tried anything past the second channel) and boom I wiggle it while pressing the button and it falls out of the cigarette lighter just enough to power down. A minor issue, but it would be worth 50 dollars if it had a power on/off switch and a switch to change channels so you didn't have to cycle to your channel on each power up. I paid $20, I see it's down to $10 today, so I would say it's a steal if it works in your auto.
Overall, I think I'm going to go fishing one more time and try to get one that handles all of my needs and works well. However, I plan to keep this guy around in hopes that it plugs into the next car I own, or maybe I'll keep it in the GF's car so I can still use it from time to time. I'm half tempted to grab another at $10 in hopes that I just had a bad solder on my USB plug, but I'm pretty sure the razr maxx just uses an ungodly amount of power even though it should be on the USB standard.

Komando Dash Cam Windshield Video RecorderNot impressed for what I paid for it. Video is choppy. Sound is muffled or so much background noise, it drowns out your voice. Forget about night driving. Unless you're on a well lit street at night, you won't see anything. It is fairly simple to operate and setup, so no problem there. It's good for day time driving...but just barely. Despite it's flaws, it fulfills its intended purpose. It does come with everything you need to use it. You don't have to buy separate components.

First one arrived and was in some Oriental language, and could not switch it to English. Contacted Amazon, who in turn informed Komando seller. Was amazed at the service received, within a few hours received e-mail from Amazon and Komando with a quick fix that did not work. Informed the Komando seller with return e-mail, and within a half hour or so was called and asked if I wanted an exchange or return for credit. Opted for exchange which is now in my possession , and so far is working, and that is the reason for the four stars. Will return with update in a month or so with my final review. Thanks again,

It looked cheap out of the box but I decided to overlook that and see how it performs. Setting it up is very difficult and not at all intuitive. I have a college degree and was a career electronics technician but I still struggled with it. The instructions are difficult in that they describe various functions, but don't explain the functions--so that if this were your second or third camera, you might know what they were discussing. I finally figured out the right combination of buttons to push to set the time, etc. but after tinkering with it a little while it read Memory Card Full--and this was after I had replaced the included 4GB SD card with my own 16GB card. I then couldn't find the menu to activate the loop recording function (if it actually has one).As to the mounts: the photo makes it appear to have a standard screw type tripod mount socket, but it instead has four plastic clips. These lock the unit into a straight ahead orientation so that you can't mount it off to one side and aim to the center of the road--and after a few months of UV exposure, these will probably break so that you'll then need duct tape to mount it. Also, the screen turns in 90 degree increments instead of continuously--so that when the camera is pointing straight forward (when mounted to the windshield) the screen can only point straight back or to the side--instead of at an optimal 45 degree angle to be visible by the driver. And the speaker--forget about it! It's so tinny sounding as to be worthless.
I had heard of Kim Komando as a very tech savvy woman, and trusted that she wouldn't sell junk to her loyal followers. But it appears that she has repackaged (with her photo on the box) one of the many similar but much cheaper cameras available from other sellers for less than half the cost of this overpriced junk that you would expect to find at a fly-by-night flea market stall. Shame on you Ms. Komando!I got the camera to work, but I found the instruction booklet not the easiest thing to read. The conrols on the camera are also confusing at first, and the ability to do things, like replay recorded video using the small screen on the camera, is hard to learn how to do. The easiest way to view recorded video is to plug the camera's USB cord into a computer. BTW: I was surprised at the high quality of the video. However, it's not practical to use just the internal battery in the camera for operation while installed in the car. The battery only lasts for about a half hour before needing to be re-charged. For extended operation, the camera has to be plugged into the car's electical system, which means that annoying wire hanging down in your windshield. I purchased this camera based on the Kim Komando endorsement.
Addendum:
I've had the camera for 4 months now, and I would like to add one thing that has come up about the camera's operation. It's sensitive to heat. We live in the desert southwest, and temperatures starting in the 90 to 95 degree range cause the camera to malfunction. It will come back on again after it's cooled off, but it can't be left in a hot, parked car, or it just won't work.
