Supertooth M1 Disco Bluetooth Music Streaming Stereo Speakers Portable Speakerphone

Supertooth M1 Disco Bluetooth Music Streaming Stereo Speakers Portable SpeakerphoneThe speaker has pretty decent sound for its size. It supports wired (via 1/8" TRS cable, included) or bluetooth operation. (The iPhone 3.0 OS update includes the A2DP profile for all iPhones. I've tested it with an older model iPhone, and it works perfectly well.) The speaker has a bass boost feature which I've never been compelled to use -the bass sounds fine without it, and, to my ears, gets a bit muddy and boomy with it on. The speaker seems pretty well constructed.

I have two complaints about this speaker. First, it has a very quick auto-shutoff feature. This is enabled even when the speaker is used fully wired -plugged in to an A/C socket and receiving the audio signal by cable. This is undocumented by the company, and there's no way to bypass it. The upshot is that if you use it with your computer, it does not behave like a regular speaker. Occasional sounds -an incoming message, an application notifying you of anything -are never heard. Instead, the speaker just pops as it comes on, and then moments later, shuts off again.

My other complaint is that, often, when used with bluetooth, the sound crackles intermittently. It doesn't matter if I have the speaker 3 inches away from my computer's bluetooth antenna, or several feet away, the crackling is the same. I've not been able to find a fix for this.

Keeping the speaker is a difficult decision to make. When it works, it's lovely. But the two annoyances I mention can be terribly aggravating.

Recently i purchased the Bluant M1. The design is simplistic, effective and i think elegant. The backlighting on the analog dial is very cool and i do like the analog dial as the quality feeling is higher than a bunch of buttons. Soft-touch music controls are nice as well. In general, very pleasing. The size is quite nice...big enough to get some bass out of the product. It is not audiophile quality but that is not expected for $170. You could actually make it a stand alone music device for a small size room/kitchen too. The travel bag is effective. i think it lacks in true portability enhancement but it works well enough. Bottomline this is a highly portable, good sounding speaker that you can hook up to an ipod or music phone with a wire or wirelessly using bluetooth. you should have no worries getting this product if you want music on your deck, poolside/beachside, etc.

I've been looking for a portable bluetooth speaker for a while now, and pulled the trigger on this one, primarily b/c it had more wattage than some other options, and it has a rechargable lithium battery. Everything has been pretty much as advertised...it is adequate for a bedroom or office, and can indeed crank up...my main problem is the lack of seperation (I can't tell if it's stereo or mono) and the bass, even when turned down, is almost too bassy...you can hear the air blow out of the back of it if it's too close to an object. I use it w/ my B'tooth phone for music, and a separate little B'tooth media player. While my phone sounds great w/ my B'tooth Motorola S9 headphones, it doesn't sound near as "clean" on the BlueAnt...the other player, however, has an equalizer, and when I can turn the treble all the way up and the bass down from the source, the output is acceptable. So, to sum up...does everything it claims, concept and design are excellent, but doesn't sound quite as good as say, that universal Sirius boombox w/ the subwoofer inside it. And the price point is way better than the $100 more Parrot seperate speaker cubes, which I would guess probably sounds a little better. The portability factor w/ the carrying case w/ the back opening for the bass and the flap for the AC/line-in is also a nice touch.

I purchased the BlueAnd M1 speaker to use with my Treo 800w smart phone. I was going on vacation to a beach house and knew I would want access to my mp3 files on the deck and on the beach. After searching through the limited products available, I decided on this and I'm glad I did. The battery life is outstanding...BlueAnt claims 10 hours and though I didn't test it for that long, I know it outlasted my phone battery on every occasion. Even when I resorted to plugging the phone in, the BlueAnt kept us entertained into the early morning hours daily (it outlasted all the humans too!) This little unit packs a punch. Not once have I found myself wishing for more power. Plenty of low end and decent mid-range but higher frequencies were a little noisy (could just be mp3 files or bluetooth connection as I haven't tried to direct connect yet). It comes with a handy carrying case with a handle on one end so it's easy to take around. Came with and AC adapter and cable to connect an mp3 player to the unit (useless with the Treo without an adapter). It was also relatively easy to set up the bluetooth connection with my phone. Essentially, this is a great speaker for the beach, patio, bakyard, etc. It also has speakerphone capabilites but I haven't used those yet. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the power.

Want Supertooth M1 Disco Bluetooth Music Streaming Stereo Speakers Portable Speakerphone Discount?

1. the charger is too weak to mantain playing at highest volume

2. The high frequency definition is practically non-existant (say goodbuy to high-hats)

3. The mids resonate the grill into an ugly distortion (mids sound bathroomy)

4. The bass is impressive for the size, but very frequency selective (some bass notes will rattle the table, others will be barely audible)...

Now, I know, these are small speakers, and I shouldn't expect much. But Motorola Q5 (much smaller BT speaker) had much better sound, both: better high frequency response and better mids(although no bass). And my Creative T20 (small computer speakers), blew the M1 AWAY in every single category (tighter bass, natural mids, and actual high frequency response). I'm dissappointed. For 150 bucks I didn't expect audiophile, but I expected something decent. The M1 sounds like a cheapo GPX boombox to me. I've gone through a lot of small portable audio in my life and this guy is just below average in my book. I wish they spent a little more money on the drivers, because these things are really sub-par. Too bad they cheaped out on the most important part the actual speakers. Interestingly, the power supply will NOT keep it running at full volume! So you can't blast music all day, even if it's plugged in. You have to make a break, and let it charge for a couple of hours. Retarded (I'd like to see someone get fired in the company over this).

On the positive side (yeah, I know): the design is very nice, analog volume, relatively small size, and they're pretty loud for the size. Before I turned them on (and realized that they have to be charged, cause they won't play even when plugged in with a dead battery), they were everything I wanted size-wise and design-wise.

Duracell DRINVP100 100W Pocket Inverter with 2.1 Amp USB Port

Duracell DRINVP100 100W Pocket Inverter with 2.1 Amp USB PortNone of these cheap inverters produce a nice AC waveform. They tend to produce square waves, and this device even says that it has a "non-sinusoidal" waveform. This can actually damage some electronics. Be sure to read the owners manual.

Cons:

Only 1 USB port

Only 1 AC port

Pros:

Compact and works well enough for small devices (read warnings in manual about devices not to use it for).

Bottom Line:

They really hampered this by not putting at least 2 USB ports on it, as some cars have only 1 12v outlet up front by the driver, so if I need to plug in two cell phones to charge, this doesn't help me unless I use the AC adapter for one of them. I had some odd behavior with the AC port as well, my touch screen wouldn't respond on my phone when it was plugged into the AC port. Probably related to the poor AC waveform. Powering my small devices it is cool and quiet. It didn't get warm or anything.

We go camping a lot, and we like to take our iphones and ipads. This is state park camping, not serious camping. Normally we don't have power on camp outs so we charge iphones in the car, etc. but that's a time consuming thing. This adapter plugs into your car's power port (once called a cigarette lighter) and gives you both a usb and a regular 3 prong ac port (like you have at home). We were able to charge the iphone via the usb port and the ipad via the power port with no problem. The device gets a little warm but it has vents to expel the hear. Also, it's very rugged and sturdy and has a user replaceable fuse. It also says it has an auto power shutoff in case of a surge.

We also recently used this at the drive in movies to power a boombox, worked like a charm. I would be careful about using it without the car running as it might drain your battery but we didn't run into problems.

Well done Duracell! Let the hurricanes come (not really).

Buy Duracell DRINVP100 100W Pocket Inverter with 2.1 Amp USB Port Now

Put simply, this inverter turns your car's cigarette lighter into a three-prong outlet (for electronic device that use 100 W or less). In addition to the outlet it also has a USB outlet.

The usefulness of the inverter are clear: it saves you from needing an adapter for each one of your electronic devices that you want to use in the car -it's one stop shopping. Anything with a two or three-prong plug can plug into it.

The inverter is small enough that it can easily fit into a glove box (taking up about as much space as a GPS) or into your computer bag.

During use I didn't notice anything unusual about the operation. Despite the fan it runs pretty quietly.

My one complaint is that the chord that goes into the cigarette lighter is so short that the inverter cannot reach the back seat or rear of the car. That means passengers are dependent on the people in the front of the car to plug and unplug devices. I took off one star for that.

Recommended.

APC BN600R 600VA Battery Back-up

APC BN600R 600VA Battery Back-upPurchased this at Sams Club for $49.99, same exact model.

Anyways I cannot say how it works hooked up to a computer but I am using it for my Cable Internet Box, my Voip Adapter, also my Router and my Base Station on my cordless phone system. Most of you know now that if you have voip and also a cordless phone system if the power goes out so does your internet, router, voip, and so on. In a day where everyone has cell phones why would I need this, well I also have an alarm system and if I needed medical / fire / or police hopefully it would call out before the battery died. Recently I got to see it in action, a wind storm came through trees down, power lines down and no power. I cannot say exactly how long power was out for, but it was close to 1-1/2 hours and everything still had power I even was on my laptop for a little bit using wireless internet.

For my use I am very pleased with this unit.

I baught this because we have terrible storms and wanted to protect our investments. It always allows us to properly shut down the PC durring power outages.

Hands-free with Built-in Microphone Car Mp3 Player Fm Transmitter Blue

Hands-free with Built-in Microphone Car Mp3 Player Fm Transmitter BlueThis is not top of the line. But, I bought it anyway and the price was well worth

the simplicity of the unit. The one thing that I noticed right away is how strong

the signal broadcast is with this unit. There is no noise intereferance on the lower freq. such as 88.1 mghrz so it bleeds out any existing resonate stations.

There is no " in line " for a cable to cell phone or headphone. There is a port

for usb flash drive and sd card. The port for the sd card works great. The

plug stem is short if you have a recessed cigerette lighter on your car dash.

However, I have a adapter for that and it extends it easly for both the mp3 player

and charger for my phone. All these Mp3 tranzm. are fused at the plug stem and they

are for the cheaper ones prone to break. This unit seems solid. The remote works

great and I did not have to buy the batterys with it. The remote works with my other Mp3 trazmitter too. I love it. Five stars for the electronics.

This is unreal. I love this little player! I bought a 32 gig san disk for it and I must have 30 concerts on there. All you have to do is put the radio station on 88.1 and stick into the cigarette lighter. That's it! It's brilliant! The ONLY thing that could make this better is if the display showed the song title and album but for the price...it's amazing. Still works perfectly!

Garmin Nuvi 1300, 1350, 1350T Car and Wall Charger

Garmin Nuvi 1300, 1350, 1350T Car and Wall Charger
  • Gives you the flexibility to charge your navigation unit at home or on vacation
  • Lightweight unit restores power to your navigation system
  • Safely charges the battery on your GPS while driving
  • IC Chip recognizes a full battery & automatically switches to saver modeing and overheating)

I bought this so I would have another car charger for my Garmin nuvi 1390. My Garmin gets its power from a standard USB Mini which both the car charger and wall AC charger provide.

When I plugged my Garmin into the car charger my Garmin nuvi 1390 thought it was connected to a computer at first. It then figured it out and came on. While that would be a little annoying it's not the real problem.

When I had my Garmin plugged into the car adapter it would run for a few minutes, then it would go off, then come back on for a few minutes, then go off, then come back on ... Anyway you get the picture.

I haven't decided if I'm going to try to return. The shipping cost more than the item did.

I wish I could give it no stars.

Got what I expected for a good price. When it arrived, I was surprised how light the package was and wondered about the quality. However it all has worked flawlessly. The AC charger is very handy to charge it up before a trip, or for a walking trip. The car charger is a back-up. You should be aware that when you use it, you loose the traffic feedback for the NUVI 1350 since the FM receiver is integrated into the original car charger and it is not included in the one that comes with this package. But the price is right!

On the plus side, product was received in a very timely manner, and was exaclty as pictured.

Unfortunately, these are NOT Garmin chargers. These are USB chargers. When used with the Garmin Nuvi, all they do is cause the Nuvi to cycle through the computer syncing mode over and over. The battery does not charge, and you cannot use the Nuvi to navigate.

I have contacted the seller but have not heard back from them. If you have a USB phone or other device that does charge using a USB port delivering USB voltage, then these items will have other uses around your home.

But if, like me, you wanted to be able to charge and program your Nuvi at home, and have a spare 12V cord for a second vehicle, DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.

I gave my dad the Garmin GPS as a gift and threw this in as almost an afterthought when it popped up on Amazon as one of the "Items most often purchased" list. I thought, for such a cheap price, what's to loose? I guess in this case there was little to gain, because these apparently worked for a while but the home plug in has long since stopped working. I guess that is the gamble you make in buying cheaper, off brand products. I have done it in the past with chargers for cell phones with a lot of success, so maybe this particular type is bad, or I just got the unlucky bad apple. Buy with few hopes!

This power supply did not work to charge our Garmin nuvi 1350T GPS at 120V.

DEWALT Bare-Tool DC820B 1/2-Inch 18-Volt Cordless Impact Wrench (Tool Only, No Battery)

DEWALT Bare-Tool DC820B 1/2-Inch 18-Volt Cordless Impact WrenchIf you are looking at the DC823 or DC825 or any other 18v impact, get this instead. Why? 25% more torque than DC825 (1330 in/lb) and 240 more inch pounds than DC823(1500in/lb). The DC820 has 1740 in/lb. With a couple simple adapters you can do anything you can with the other 2 impacts. Any "impact rated" 1/2" to 3/8" adapter will get you the functionality of the DC823. There are several adapters to go from 1/2" to 1/4" hex as well, I chose the "ASIN:B002KKBBR4 Milwaukee 48-03-4410 Shockwave 1/2-Inch Square by 1/4-Inch Hex Adapter" and now I can do anything the DC825 can do as well. Just one bit of caution however when using it with the 1/4 hex adapter to drive screws, it is so powerful you can overdrive/break normal strength fasteners if you aren't paying attention. I also have the option of just putting a socket on and using it for automotive applications. It pulls lugs nuts off like a champ. This thing rocks, just buy it already!

This is a useful tool with more power than you'd expect for its small size.

It's about 1.5 times the size and weight of my 1/4" hex drive impact tool but seems to have 4x the power. This obviously isn't going to out drive an air powered impact wrench but has more than enough power to handle lug nuts.

The only time this tool failed to impress me was removing large diameter stainless steel fasteners with seriously galled threads (an antenna mount that had been on our office roof for 10+ years.) The DC820B could break the seized 3/8 bolts but didn't have the power to break the 1/2" bolts. It tried and tried but couldn't quite get the job done. I could feel a slight flexing of the tool in my grip that probably robbed torque from the job at hand. To be fair, I had removed more than 50 bolts before attempting to free the seized bolts and didn't take the time to replace the battery so this isn't conclusive, your results may be better.

The only real design complaint I have about this tool is the socket retention mechanism. Instead of the spring loaded ball or hog ring systems used on most 1/2 air impact tools this one has a spring loaded "detent pin retention system". On my tool this requires using a small screwdriver or similar tool to push in the retention pin every time you want to change a socket. It was a hassle at first but now I just leave a short impact extension on the tool and change sockets on the extension.

I mention this since when looking at the parts diagram it appears that Dewalt has different models that use the hog ring system. One of those might be a better choice if you change sockets frequently.

Like one or two other reviewers mine emits a slight burning smell that seems to have gotten less noticeable the longer I use the tool. I have some other Dewalt tools that had the same problem but none have died (so far at least)

This tool is small and light but has plenty of power for any 1/2" socket you would be likely to use. It works best with the lithium battery but the nicad works just fine although noticeably heavier. Garmin Nuvi Hardwire Cable (Mini-USB connector) for Garmin Nuvi

Garmin Nuvi Hardwire Cable for Garmin Nuvi
  • This unique hardwire power cable allows you to hardwire your Nuvi GPS receivers
  • Input range: 12 - 24V
  • Output range: 5V at 1A
  • Cable Length: 6 feet
  • Red wire is for positive

I installed this unit inside the headlight housing of my Yamaha V Star 950. After carefully studying the motorcycle wiring diagram, I learned there is a pre-wired connector for an optional light bar accessory. Since I wasn't using the accessory light circuit I determined it to the perfect location to tap into the motorcycle's electrical system. And the light circuit has power only when the engine is running so tapping in there will prevent the GPS from drawing power from the motorcycle battery when not in use.

There was just enough room inside my headlight housing to insert the 12V power transformer with the USB connector threaded out the back of the headlight housing. Next I plugged the USB connector into my GPS device mounted on the handlebar and cranked the engine. Viola!

I have no clue what would cause some GPS devices to switch into data mode. But my Nuvi 255 correctly switches from battery to direct current mode when the engine is running and switches back to battery power when the motorcycle engine is turned off.

Buy Garmin Nuvi Hardwire Cable (Mini-USB connector) for Garmin Nuvi Now

Used this to power my Garmin Nuvi 760 & 765. Anyone with decent techincal skills will be able to intall this perfect. Connect the red wire to 12v switched power. And Black wire to ground. Make certain 12v source is switched power to prevent a battery draw. Which will kill the battery if the Nuvi is attached while the car is parked.

I ran the wire to the glove box to keep the garmin chagred and ready to go when i need to use it.

Read Best Reviews of Garmin Nuvi Hardwire Cable (Mini-USB connector) for Garmin Nuvi Here

My GPS intermittently switched from charge to battery mode in use on the motorcycle--in other words, the power supply was intermittent. Then after proper installation and very little riding for three months it DIED. Checked the mini-USB connector: the metal shell was not connected to ground and two of the connector pins were shorted together. Also discovered the power cable is not shielded and has very light-gauge wires in it compared with the wiring out of the cigarette lighter charger that Garmin supplies. Cannot recommend this unit. Buy something better. Installation on a motorcycle ain't so easy. You don't want to have to do it twice.

UPDATE: Disassembled the Garmin cigarette lighter power supply, put it in a plastic box and wired it into the motorcycle. Now have steady power.

Want Garmin Nuvi Hardwire Cable (Mini-USB connector) for Garmin Nuvi Discount?

I have had this installed for about 6 weeks. It worked fine initially.

The installation had two issues that several others complained about. The thickness of the power and ground wires made it almost impossible to wire it into my 96 Accord using splices. The size of the box made it difficult to zip tie it to prevent it rattling or moving around.

3 days ago, my Nuvi 1350 started going into data mode before rebooting into map mode. This behavior was followed random reboots while on the road.

If you are going to purchase this item, make sure it is easy to access when it fails.

Bought this last winter and just got around to installing it. I was leery after reading the reviews, so I opened it up. One small phillips screw and the case pops open.

Inside I found a small circuit board, inexpensively made with through-hole components. I could see several capacitors and inductors that looked vulnerable to vibration. So I warmed up my hot-melt glue gun and potted all the components on the circuit board into place. Took about 5 minutes including re-assembly. Epoxy would have worked as well.

Installed it on my 74 Suzuki GT550 and so far, it works like a charm. Wouldn't fit inside the headlight shell but I was able to tuck it in behind the headlight bucket mounting ears and secure it using a couple of wire ties.

I found a plastic cap to protect the USB connector from the elements, and I strap the connector to the Nuvi mount when not in use.

Time and miles will tell how it holds up. The bike is an old two-stroke, without the benefit of modern suspension, so vibration will be a factor.

Moroso 74050 Battery Relocation Kit

Moroso 74050 Battery Relocation KitCan't believe there are no reviews for this product. It's great for trunk mounted battery installs. If you're purchasing this product, you are probably mechanically inclined so the poor, vague directions that are included can just be tossed in the trash. Well worth the money.

PulseTech 12V ERV SolarPulse 6-Watt Battery Charger

PulseTech 12V ERV SolarPulse 6-Watt Battery ChargerWhen I first bought this item I connected it to my garden tractor battery after it had sat all winter without being disconnected or charged. I left it on the battery for about 6 weeks. When I first tried to start the tractor it fired up like it was a brand new battery. The battery kept and maintained a new battery function for the next season also. I now have it connected to my RV battery and it is 4 years old and acts like I was brand new. The RV was last used in November and it is now close to the 1st of March and my battery is still fully charged and in good working order.
