Installed on left side air duct panel along with a DPDT switch to allow monitoring of primary and aux batteries and also to turn off the display. The display is bright and the brand name is especially so, so I removed the snap off cover and darkened it with a felt tip marker, which was just enough to work for me. This is a great voltmeter. Install is easy and it has an adjuster to match the voltage of where you want to read from. The only downside to this thing is the stinger name is very bright at night so i had to tape it off as it was giving me a headache.

-I had to hook mine to a toggle switch...it's just waaaay too bright to run at night. Guess it's better than being too dim. I'd also suggest a small piece of window tint...

This is a great meter. I like the size and its easy to read. It is very bright at night though just as the other reviewer said so i hooked it up to a switch on the remote side. Tested it against a voltmeter and it was accurate right out of the box. I particularly like the option it has of adjusting the voltage for accuracy. Great product.

Like others have said the "stinger" name is too bright. I covered it with electrical tape problem solved.

I bought this to monitor the battery voltage in my solar-powered RV. It worked fine (if a little bright at night) for about 3 weeks and then died. The name still lights up, but there is no voltage readout. It just went blank.

I am not impressed with its reliability.

This is our company's second Associated 6012 charger and we are very happy with their performance. We use these chargers on a daily basis and they perform well. One hour on high plus one hour on medium will adequately charge most dead batteries. With an inventory of up to 100 used cars, and the cold North Dakota winters being what they are, we need reliable battery chargers and these do the job.

We got this to work around a phantom battery drain problem. For that purpose, it has worked very well.

The package, however, contained no directions on how to connect the device to a battery cable. It's a pretty standard terminal clamp, but the 'butt' end has a hole running through it and no clear way to attach a cable intelligently. I ultimately kludged a connection that's not perfect, but there's plenty of room in our engine compartment and we're not vain. If you're starting out with bare wire, expect to buy more hardware. If you connect a battery terminal clamp through the hole in the switch, you may have to do some stretching and risk breaking the clamp. If you have very tight clearances in your engine compartment, you might be in trouble.

Note that some previous reviews mention ease of installation, and some mention problems. I'm willing to believe that it works wonderfully for plenty of situations, but maybe there's variation across battery cables/clamps.

Fits perfectly, FAIRLY easy to install. Careful, though, as the metal is very soft and the first one I put in snapped as I was screwing it in.

I have a gremlin in the wiring of my motor home and when it sits the battery drains slowly. I put this on the battery (and remember to open it when I leave and close it back when I want to use it) and have had no problems with dead battery from sitting. Added one to my baja bug too.

Product is very cheap and despite it's appearance is not made of solid brass. The post that you clap your battery cable on cracked and disentigrated with the least pressure. If this will happen with installation, I could imagine what would happen if you were driving and the vibrations from the car resonated through this piece of garbage. Not worth the price nor effort. I didn't even return it , wasn't worth the postage. Next time I will make sure I am buying solid metal or brass , instead of some conductive carbon composite core crap.

Yes, this is just a simple switch and it has solved my electrical train issue that I have had with my car. My only complaint is that the pseudo post connector (the side that attaches to the car cables) is a bit small and I had to use a shim. If the post size was specified on the description, I would have no complaints at all.

Hvae/Had a SunForce Inverter but it is generating a lot of QRM in the HF bands, probably due to cheaper construction and a plastic case. the Cotek was purchased based on the ARRL review and generates no QRM as far as I an tell, meeting the reviewers claim of being low noise.

I suspect I would be glad to use these on a daily basis but I have heavy equipment to tend to and I have to use 2 gauge cables mostly..

This item worked in a somewhat complcated basis. We have compnents flying aournd and geetting lost as to th toriginal electronic item is corresponds to. We found the right part and it works well. Good value for the money.

So for the cash you won't be disappointed with what you get. This kit offers more than most do at an increased price. Now although it is not solid copper and is not quite 1/0 AWG more like 2/0AWG it is however as they say good enough for government work. It has served me well in powering a 4000/1 watt and a 1600/4 watt amps both in the Stax family of amps by Power Acoustik. I liked that the wire was very flexible and easy to strip and install of course once you get it past the fire wall and pull up the carpet. I just wished it came with a wire protector for the firewall but other than that. OH and don't forget to pick up 2 ANL fuses for the distribution block. And now let the current flow! Alright, so this is a pretty decent package. the wire itself isn't that great, if you're looking for 0awg because you need to power a super sick fatty system then get some better wire than this. That being said, it powers my 1700watt RMS D class mono amp and my 1600 peak 4 channel speaker amp just fine. The wire isn't pure copper so you won't get the most power possible out of it but for the system I've got there have been no problems. On the plus the fused distribution block is reallllllly nice. That part alone runs for $30-40 depending where you shop, and the ground distribution block is also sweet which would run you about $20 alone. So really, you're getting the wire, ANL fuse and fuse holder (which is also poor quality) for like 10 bucks. All in all you get a sweet set up for the price, but highly NOT recommended to those who want to upgrade to a super powerful high quality system, other than that this is the way to go!

I bought this kit in November. I thought for the price the wires were a descent deal however, my kit was missing pieces from the battery terminal that made it useless. I had already run and cut the cables so I couldn't just repackage it and sent it back to amazon for a replacement so I tried to call the company (DB LINK) and they were nice but said they couldnt send me just the terminal, I asked if I could just buy it? Nope, send it back to amazon for a new one...Urrrghhhh! So I paid for the wires and a distribution block... bummer.

The price of $68 is a good deal for what it comes with. I have no clue how large 0 gauge is supposed to be so I can't comment on it like other reviews.

I will give all the negatives even though they are not that serious at all and will not prevent me from a future purchase. With that said, the battery terminal will not work unless you add a midi fuse but I can't find one at 250 amps so I bypassed it with some custom made parts.

The included fuse holder that takes an ANL fuse but is kind of cheaply made. I had to tape the sides to keep the top from opening.

The fuse seats on the fused distribution block were slightly smaller than the fuses that I put in so to tighten them down, it bent the metal parts on the fuses slightly.

Some of the Allen wrench screws of the same size wire had different sizes.

If you add a capacitor, you will most likely need 2 more ring connectors.

All in all, I thought that this was a great buy and I highly recommend it.

The wire is really nice, it does not break when you bend it and is extremly flexiable for its size. I looked at this kit because of its price, for $65 it is well worth the money. I'm not for sure if it is a true 0 gauge wire or not, but it is defentially 2 or maybe even 1 gauge. It came as advertised and with all of the accessories of very nice sturdy quality. Will consider DB Link products for sure in future builds.

So I found out, after I purchased, that these switches are not waterproof. Not a huge problem, except, if you read up on users experiences with them, you'll find out that over the years the spray gets into them. The spray will corode the switch terminals and leave you stranded. I ended up ordering a Blue Sea Systems 9001e. It's not only water proof, but you don't have to put the batteries in parallel on your way to putting the second battery on. If your main battery has a shorted cell, on your way from "1" to "2", you'll cross "ALL". "All" will effectivly put the shorted cell in your main battery across the terminals of your second battery. High current and heat WILL follow. The 9001e doesn't work this way and it's waterproof. Your call.
