Believe me I have 0 gauge wire going from two batteries total over 2000 amps cranking output and over 200 amp hour rating and a 270 amp alternator giving 190 amps at idle with a 10 Farad Cap hooked up.
I knew something wasn't right when I took the amp out of the box and saw the power block on it??? WHAT 6000-8000 watt amps with wuss power connectors and two 60 amp maxi-fuses...
Explain how the laws of physics has changes where you can run that supposed amount of amperage into a connector no larger than a speaker connector?? YOU CAN NOT IT WILL MELT... I used power distribution blocks and stepped down from 0 gauge to 4 gauge and used crimp gold plated connectors to the cap and another adapter to down size the 4 gauge end so I could even hook it to the amp power block..
3000x2 at 4 ohms BS; 8000 watts at 2 OHMS Bridged BIG BS..
I am running a two 15" 4000 watts rated speakers in a vented box using the two Pyle 15" loud speakers sold here on Amazon for 96.00 each and claimed to handle 4000 watts EACH; so I have two so I should be able to run at 8000 Watts? NOPE Nada zip more false advertising..
I have the sub input turned ALL THE WAY DOWN so it doesn't trip into protection mode....
. NO BASS Boosts and when I take my head unit to about 2/3 volume??
I am using the head sub output line so I am not over driving the input signal to the amp..
The amp will almost immediately go into protected mode and shut down; this happens in a few seconds and NOT FROM OVER HEATING.
Don't get me started on how hot this amp runs at even low settings..
Running the amp at about half volume you can fry an egg on it and it has way plenty air circulation... I even put 1/2 square strips under the amp mounting feet to raise the amp off the board to get air to flow under it as well using two 12v computer case fans.. Still will burn me if I touch it after running it...
In fact the amp is sitting in front of the box vent and THAT IS BLOWING AIR AT AND OVER IT....
The pyle speaker are wired in parallel at 2.2 OHMS and then wired box connectors in parallel at at 2.9 OHMS. Then amp is hooked up in bridged mode which the manufacturers book states it can do at 2 OHMS...
I will be rewiring the speaker hookup later for two channel and see what then happens; but I don't give it much hope.
I bought the 1Lanzar Vector 2610 amp, 2-PYLE PLD15WD speakers, Boss 10 Farad Capacitor, and Dual 15" speaker box here on Amazon..
What size/brand bettery needed for a 8000w system?
I'm about to do a system that's gonna be 8000 watts. 4000 rms. my alternator is going to be 140 amps.

Lets do some math..... Assuming 4000 watts RMS. To figure current draw, you take power times the inverse of efficiency of the amp divided by volts divided by 2.5 (the average power in music). We'll assume 80% efficient. I = ((4,000 x (1/0.8)) / 13.8) / 2.5 I = (5,000 / 13.8) / 2.5 I = 362 / 2.5 I = 144 amperes Now this 144 amperes is just to run the audio system, You need to add on another 40% to power the vehicle as well (lights, heater, etc.) so... I = 144 x 1.4 I = 202 amperes total What this all boils down to is you will need: Two Group 31 deep cycle batteries and at least a 200 amp alternator. Oh, and don't forget the "Big 3" that is to replace (or add to [recommended]) the power wire between the battery and alternator, the ground from the battery to the chassis and the ground strap from the engine/tranny to the chassis. Got money?

Another poster called me stupid because 00 gauge wire the amp draw will cook off the insulation. These amps or any other amp even CEA certified do not pull a constant 400-600 amp draw but in surges.
I have seen allot of these morons cars burn up because they didn't wire it correctly. One common example is running the power wire from the battery and only fusing it at the amp and NOT at the battery.
These are the same morons that are going boom boom past your house at 4 AM... You look at their "car" and all you can see is a bunch of idiot "bobble" heads sticking up just past the door window edge...
These are the same morons in mommies Honda that tried drifting and broad sided my Z28 BC4 Camaro parked at the curb. My great neighbors stopped them from running away and they got a serious beat down before the cops arrived..

This amp is really a true rms 300 watt x 2 @ 4 ohm amp (true 600 watts x 2 @ 4 ohm stereo or 1200 watts rms @ 4 ohms bridged) DO NOT buy it if you think it is a 6000 watt RMS amp as it IS NOT. Lanzar chose unwisly to list it as a 6000 watt PEAK amp... a little decieving. But none the less this is a true 1200 watt amp that demands more than more factory automotive can handle. Plan on running a minimum of true 4 gauge pure copper wire and do the "big 3" upgrade. Also plan on losing some hearing if you have some good subs that can handle this amp. i had this amp hooked up to 2 lanzar 15s and every time it hit i would go into protection but i had the 4000 watt vibrant amp hook to 2 other 15s of the same type and would push them hard if u want a good amp dont go with lanzar cuz the vibraant amp i had started smoking for 5 mins then after that it was fineive been hooking up car audio for 5 years now go with a name brand amp everybody say they all have the same stuff on the inside but open up to different amps and which has bigger caps.and ect."This is the truth about this amp" i bought this amp because i thit it was a good deal for the watts,wow was i shocked this amp SUCKED SOOOO BAD it wouldent even puch 2 sony 10s lol..

UPDATE: In response to other comments; yes, if you're charging (maintaining) large capacity batteries such as automotive or marine, a controller may be unnecessary. Caution due however with smaller batteries.The charger works as advertised. The only thing I found lacking was a status light indicating that current was flowing to the battery when plugged into the cigarette lighter. I had to use a multimeter to check contacts at outputs for voltage 19.2 volts. It appears well made, price is reasonable, and shipping was speedy.

This does not work to charge my battery in my car because when the ignition is off there is no connection to the battery from the power port (cigarette lighter). Instead I have a spare car battery that I charge with the alligator clips and use with a power inverter to use as a power back up in case of a black out.Want Schumacher SP-200 2.4W Solar Battery Maintainer Discount?
Have a truck I don't drive every day but alarm drains steady power and after 4 days dead. Not only does that kill a standard car battery but makes it inconvenient to get the truck started. So after my research, went with this solar maintainer because its very simple and well made. No need to worry about overcharging a car battery since its so low of wattage. The one downside or warning is don't start the vehicle with this still plugged in because it suppossedly will backfeed from the alternator and fry the unit. I wish there was a way where I just hardwire this in and not worry about it truly, still researching if a controller will prevent that. Purchased this in 2009 and used it for about 5 months. It was working fine until the light went out and the charger quit completely. I tested the charger with a volt meter and there are power but it won't charge the battery at all. (I have tried various methods to ensure positive engagement). Finally, I connected the battery on Schumacher SC-600A charger and it worked.I have read review and someone has written that it will cost him 16 bucks to have the battery charger send in and returned on a 25 bucks charger. Save your money and spend it toward something more dependable and no headache. We don't need to be belittled by company that won't stand behind their products.

I've purchased this washer heater since I almost hit a parked car driving away from my house before having my windows fully defrosted. That and my nozzles where frozen couple of times in the deep freeze. Installation was easy enough, took about half hour. Didn't even need instructions as I have watched the installation video on manufacturer's website along with performance videos. Didn't need any additional parts, only one spot to install on my 2009 2.3L Ranger. Now my washer heats up in about a minute, comes out warm enough to melt the frozen windshield within three to four cycles of three second washes with 20-second wait time, never had frozen nozzle issue since the install. It's really cool to see steam coming out with the washer fluid. It draws about 52 amps upon starting the engine, but it turns off when the engine is off. Windshield wipers work so much better with the warm liquid, keeps my wipers free of snow and ice. Per the manufacturer's website, great for winter and even better for removing bugs and grime in the summer.I would highly recommend the AlphaTherm Windshield Washer Fluid Heater, must have for the mid-west location. No more frozen nozzles and crystal clear windshield and no more iced up wiper blades.

I got this for my wife's Trailblazer (V8) as she was having trouble with her washer nozzles freezing up. The real solution to that is keeping the washer fluid topped off with an antifreeze type fluid (required for this heater) so the oil change place doesn't top it off with the cheap stuff.The heater needs to be mounted fairly close to vertical (see product photo for orientation) but I was able to find a spot on the firewall on the passenger side of the vehicle where it would just fit. At first I was confused by two washer hoses coming from the depths of the engine compartment, causing me to wonder if there was a Y buried down there with one hose for each side of the windshield. It wasn't until I removed the air filter housing and washer tank and saw two washer pumps that it hit me one was for the rear wiper (duh). Taking that stuff out and putting it back took longer than installing the heater.
The wires were the perfect length to reach a solid ground and the auxiliary terminal on the engine compartment fuse block. I had about 6 inches of hose left over. This was an easy install on this vehicle, but I suggest you examine yours before you purchase to insure you have a spot to put it or can fabricate a mounting plate, although the one supplied is somewhat adaptable.
Performance is exactly as described. I was concerned that in below freezing weather that residual fluid on the windshield would freeze into enough of haze to impact visibility, but in single digit temperatures and at highway speeds, this did not happen. She tried using it to initially clear the windshield, but it did not work very well for that because it refroze too quickly. Overall, we are very happy with its performance.
