GreatShield Flex Grip Lightweight Windshield Dashboard Universal Car Mount Holder for Cell Phones a

GreatShield Flex Grip Lightweight Windshield Dashboard Universal Car Mount Holder for Cell Phones and GPS Devices - Works with Samsung Galaxy S4 IV Galaxy S3 S III Apple iPhone 5 4/4S Google Nexus 4 Samsung Galaxy Note Epic 4G Touch HTC One M7 X V S Droid Incredible EVO 4G LTE Rezound Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE Atrix HD 2 Droid RAZR Maxx Blackberry Z10 Torch Bold Curve LG Optimus Elite 4X Nokia Lumia 720 and Many MoreI needed something cheap to mount my cellphone to the windshield. I have one of the biggest phone in the market, the Samsung Note which has a 5.3" screen on it. This unit is able to support my phone with no problem. It has a locking wheel that locks the mount to the windshield and it worked really well. It worked so well that I had trouble removing it the first time I tested it on the window.

This holder was nice and compact. Pad came off the dashboard a few times, but that could have been fixed with some adhesive.

The major problem was that within 2 to 3 weeks, the holder became "frozen" in position and could no longer be rotated or the angle changed. An attempt to change the angle (with only mild pressure) caused the holder to snap into two pieces, just below the ball joint.

(NOTE: This review was written 2 months after I bought it. Then updated 3 months after I bought it)

This is a great clip. I use it for my 5" navigator.

It has one arm of the clip side that is spring loaded. It can be a little difficult with mounting it one handed, but I do it. I take my device and push up the arm (spring loaded), then fit my device in, and then release. To take it out, you could just yank it out, but that will probably wear the rubber grips on the side.

The mount has a twist on for the bottom side suction cup. Typically for windshield mounting. You put the base toward your windshield or flat mounted base (provided), and then rotate the base to create a suction seal to hold it in place.

The mount that is provided is about the size of the circular base on the holster. Use this mount if you want to mount to a dash or some other location (not windshield) that is flat (or near flat), and will not be a good source for a suction cup mounting. Like dash boards with that vinyl coating on top.

The round plastic mount (what they are calling a pedestal) has a sticker on back, but it also has 3 tiny mounting holes, to screw it into place. It does not come with the mounting screws. Uses size 4 screws for this option. Use mounting screws with the sticker on back if you want to have more mounting strength than just the sticky back. (I don't trust sticky back products in the car. The high heat in summer always melts the glue away.) I used the 3 holes and screwed it into the dash, so you might be aware of that option.

The great thing is that the holster (as the picture shows) can go on and come off very easily with the twist of the base. The suction is released. The plastic mount (bracket) stays in place always. But this gives you the option to switch to mounting on windshield too.

It is very adjustable in angles. Rotates 0, 15, 30, 45, etc up to 360 degrees. (OK... maybe not exactly 15 degree increments, but it clicks to various angles). I haven't been moving it around much, so I'm not sure the wear and tear on the joints.

I don't have the dimension of the round mounting plate (pedestal), but it's about 2" in diameter. And about 1/16" thick.

For the price, I don't think you'll find a better product with this much flexibility. I certainly have enjoyed mine for the past 2 months.

---UPDATE-------OK... 3 months now, after I have it... and it's broken!

The little plastic (and I emphasize... plastic) arm that attaches to the rotating ball just snapped.

I understand why too. It takes the most stress when you need to move the holder around.

The rotating ball (that allows the clamp to rotate) has a tendency to get sticky and gets stuck in place.

The plastic arm then takes a large force to 'crack' the seal of the rotating ball.

And THIS WILL happen, when you need to change the angle of your device.

YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I'M NOT BUYING AGAIN. FOR THE PRICE OF 3 OF THESE, I'M SURE I'LL GET A BETTER LONGER LASTING ONE.

I DON'T NEED TO KEEP REPLACING EVERY 3 MONTHS!!!

This unit was reasonably priced and delivered ontime however it is a bit too weak to hold the Galxy S3. When you hit a bump the phone spins around. Pretty iritating when you need to keep repositioning the phone as you are driving trying to check traffic conditions through google maps. In addition the arm that hold the device need some type of edge to hold in the phone better. The rubber that covers them onbt he inside does not hold the phone very well.

BATTERY CUTOFF SWITCH CAR RV BOAT RACECAR ATV CUT OFF

BATTERY CUTOFF SWITCH CAR RV BOAT RACECAR ATV CUT OFFWe got this to work around a phantom battery drain problem. For that purpose, it has worked very well.

The package, however, contained no directions on how to connect the device to a battery cable. It's a pretty standard terminal clamp, but the 'butt' end has a hole running through it and no clear way to attach a cable intelligently. I ultimately kludged a connection that's not perfect, but there's plenty of room in our engine compartment and we're not vain. If you're starting out with bare wire, expect to buy more hardware. If you connect a battery terminal clamp through the hole in the switch, you may have to do some stretching and risk breaking the clamp. If you have very tight clearances in your engine compartment, you might be in trouble.

Note that some previous reviews mention ease of installation, and some mention problems. I'm willing to believe that it works wonderfully for plenty of situations, but maybe there's variation across battery cables/clamps.

Fits perfectly, FAIRLY easy to install. Careful, though, as the metal is very soft and the first one I put in snapped as I was screwing it in.

I have a gremlin in the wiring of my motor home and when it sits the battery drains slowly. I put this on the battery (and remember to open it when I leave and close it back when I want to use it) and have had no problems with dead battery from sitting. Added one to my baja bug too.

Product is very cheap and despite it's appearance is not made of solid brass. The post that you clap your battery cable on cracked and disentigrated with the least pressure. If this will happen with installation, I could imagine what would happen if you were driving and the vibrations from the car resonated through this piece of garbage. Not worth the price nor effort. I didn't even return it , wasn't worth the postage. Next time I will make sure I am buying solid metal or brass , instead of some conductive carbon composite core crap.

Yes, this is just a simple switch and it has solved my electrical train issue that I have had with my car. My only complaint is that the pseudo post connector (the side that attaches to the car cables) is a bit small and I had to use a shim. If the post size was specified on the description, I would have no complaints at all.

Permatex 80370 Battery Protector and Sealer, 5 oz. net Aerosol Can

Permatex 80370 Battery Protector and Sealer, 5 oz. net Aerosol CanI've used this Permatex product for many years and with a good coating it completely prevents corrosion on the battery terminals (use Permatex 80369 Battery Cleaner first if you already have corrosion link below). Even if you don't consider yourself a 'do it your selfer', this is very easy to apply and is a must have. It will prevent battery cable damage and save you from getting stranded because of poor cable connectivity caused by corrosion.

Permatex 80369 Battery Cleaner 6 oz aerosol can, 5.75 oz net wt

I used it on a rusty battery terminals after cleaning them off. It works fine at preventing rust. The only thing is that the bottle is relatively small and that I think rust can be prevented using any grease no need for special "battery grease".

This stuff is impossible to find at local auto parts stores. Both walmart and auto parts stores carry a different brand, which leaves the red coating and is in a much smaller bottle. However, i've come to realize over the years that Permatex products are good-to-go, top-notch products. From brake cleaner to this stuff, you can't go wrong with Permatex. This product goes on purple, and one can immediately tell the difference in material quality over the other brands. Does a phenominal job at preventing corrossion on battery terminals. Good stuff.

Corrosion was eating away at the positive terminal of my 2010 Nissan Titan to the point where I had to replace the terminal connector itself. I cleaned it several times with various advertised products, only to have it return. This was the only product that kept it from coming back. Kind of seems like a spray paint. I also tried vaseline which didn't work at all to prevent the corrosion.

Foul smelling. Messy. It probably protects okay, but you'd better mask off all adjacent areas before spraying. Otherwise you'll have nasty purple gunk everywhere you don't want it. It is difficult to spray just the right amount in only the area you intend it to go. I expected it to dry or set up, but it's pretty runny and I don't think it ever sets up. Maybe that's what it's designed to do, but I had hoped for something less messy than petroleum jelly or grease products, but this isn't it.

Superwinch 1120210 LT2000 12-Volt ATV Winch (2,000 lb Capacity)

Superwinch 1120210 LT2000 12-Volt ATV WinchA nice package at a nice price.

Pros: It does everything that I bought it for: getting an atv out of the mud.

Cons: 1)The wires leading from the solenoid to the winch are at least a foot too short as other reviewers have stated. Expect to pay for connectors, ends, and at least another foot of 8 gauge wire. 2)The snatch block that is included will require wrenches to take apart and thread. Not a great thing when you are stuck in the mud, so while I was at the hardware store picking up the above parts, I picked up a new bolt, washer and wingnut. 3)The winch is a bit loud but I wasn't expecting it to be quiet.

All in all not a bad investment for the money, just don't be surprised if you have to take a trip to the hardware store. I had a hard time finding connectors and ends for 8 gauge wire and they were expensive (3$ a piece +-).

This winch kit is a great value. My only complaint would be that the two wires running from the regulator to the winch motor could be a foot or so longer. I mounted the regulator in the storage box under the seat and had to splice a foot or more of #8 wire to make my connections on the motor. Other than that everything seems of very good quality and it should give me years of trouble free operation.

I bought this for myself at Christmas. Fit in a 2007 Suzuki Vinson 500 4x4 just fine and I built my own heavy duty mount plate. Found out the ATV was prewired for a winch in front and back but used the supplied kit. As others have said the main wires from the solenoid to the winch in front are too short so I used the #8 from the factory wires to make up the difference. The only major problem is the small black solenoid wire needs to go to a ground and not the fuse as the instructions say. Whoever wrote those has never used them. After purchased I learned the a permanent magnet such as superwinch is suspect to burnout unlike a series magnet used in the Warn winches. I'm not a winch expert but for the $87 it cost me I'll let it cool if it gets too hot.

Many of the reviews said that you need to plan to buy more wire. I bought two of these, installed one on a 2004 Polaris ATP 330 and one on a 1999 Honda Foreman 450 ES. Didn't need to buy extra wire for either install and had no problems installing it. Make sure you get a good winch mount (I bought the KFI brand mounts) Also get some zip ties so you can route the wires and tie them in place. The biggest issue I had was figuring out which ignition wire to tie into so that the power to the winch is switched. The instructions that come with the winch just say "connect the red wire to an ignition wire that is hot when the key is on and not when the key is off" I had to search for some time to figure out which wire it what...so if you happen to have either of the machines I have here is the info:

2004 Polaris ATP 330 use the red ignition wire with the white tracer

1999 Honda Foreman 450 ES use the pink ignition wire

I bought it for the long plane trips where power was not available. It worked just like plugging in the wall at home. Very cool. So I keep it in my laptop bag for emergency device recharge.

Well, I suppose if I wasn't a risk taker I would have heeded the advice of another reviewer who said this won't charge a blackberry device. But I thought, perhaps he had a defective unit or otherwise. I ordered the unit, read the instructions, charged it and plugged in my blackbery but quickly got a message from the blackberry saying the charging device had insufficient power to charge the blackberry.

I knew in advance the unit had 2 charging options a mini usb and a usb port. It's clear this device was designed years ago as all the newer phones use micro usb charging.

My suggestions to Duracell: Dump the mini usb port and replace it with a micro usb port AND test the device more rigorously with currently available mobile phones and other electronic devices.

Clore 1002 1.5 Amp 12V Automatic Onboard Charger

Clore 1002 1.5 Amp 12V Automatic Onboard ChargerHave used 4 of these for winter stored vehicles, and lawn and garden equipments, and has never failed keeping all of the batteries charged. The first user comment should have reviewed the product before purchase; never indicated it was "solar powered". But can see where confusion could occur. A fine product that serves the purpose.

I have used four of these for my boat, a car in storage, a tractor, and a riding mower. They work beautifully keeping the batteries fully charged and greatly extending the battery life.

Battery Tender 021-0134 10-Bank 12V Battery Management System

Battery Tender 021-0134 10-Bank 12V Battery Management SystemHave only owned the product for a month, but am completely satisfied.

Does everything I would have expected. I collect motorcycles and never remove the batteries. I'm too lazy to move a charger from bike to bike. I've plugged in most of the bikes plus a car that I seldom use in the winter and leave them on. No worries.

Only negative I've found is the leads from the charger to the battery are only 6 feet long. If you require more, you need to purchase a 25 foot extension. 31 feet is much more than I need. Wish I could purchase leads of 10 to 15 feet long.

I live on a small farm and have many pieces of equipment that have batteries. I was able to remove the batteries and place them on a work bench and charge 10 of them at one time. Plus this unit will keep them at peak level until spring arrives.

Whistler Pro-1200W 1,200 Watt Power Inverter

Whistler Pro-1200W 1,200 Watt Power InverterJust a quick update I have had this inverter in my semi for a year now and it is still going strong, it gets near daily use and has survived having a 700 watt microwave short out and catch fire, all it did was trip the inverters fault protection, a quick reset and it was fine I now have a RV style 600 watt microwave that it powers flawlessly.

I bought this to replace a powerdrive 1500 watt inverter that died after about a month, this one has lasted over 3 months so far and I use it almost daily to run a laptop, document scanner, 700 watt microwave plus several chargers for cell phones, mp3 players, etc. Average draw with the laptop, scanner and microwave going simultaneously is 900 watts, at that load the fan doesn't even kick on which is nice because one of the annoying features the powerdrive was its constantly running (very loud) fans.

I have ran it at @1300 watts output for a minute or so when I had to plug in a high speed drill, it took this abuse without so much as getting warm.

If you are looking for a affordable, reliable ac power supply for a semi or other large truck I cannot recommend this one highly enough, just be sure to buy a wiring kit like the Cobra 4-AWG Heavy-Duty AC Power Inverter Cable Kit sold here at amazon, and a ANL Fuse Holder with a 150 amp ANL fuse, because the inverter comes with no wires at all.

EDIT:

Thought I should mention, when mounting this in your truck it MUST be direct wired to the batteries, if you try and run it through the bus you run the risk of overloading it and causing serious damage to your semis' electronics. Also the shorter the cables from your battery to the inverter are the lower the power drop will be (simply put shorter cables equals more wattage you can safely use)

One last thing, if you plan on using this in a non commercial vehicle (IE a regular car or truck) check with a mechanic to make sure your alternator/battery combo can handle this, some cars have just enough power to run their own internal systems and adding this on could overload it and do damage.

While not perfect, this product saved us from the Halloween storm this year. We were without power for 4 days and this inverter provided enough juice to power our refrigerator, the boiler (so that the house didn't get so cold as it was in the 20s some nights), a light, and I even toasted on a small toaster (I disconnected everything else to do this). We tried the microwave and it worked a few times, but then started tripping every time (I am not sure if it was the inverter or the cables we got as one of the terminal was poorly connected and it didn't always have a great connection). We ran it 2-3 hours at a time connected to our car battery with the car running. It seemed to trip from time to time for no reason (usually it had been running the boiler and frig for a few minutes) even though it was only running at 300-400 Watts; I am not sure if it was the car alternator that tripped it by having a voltage spike on the DC side or what, but we had to go reset it about 1-2 times per hour.

Still, this product is a great value at 71 bucks we paid for a 1200 Watt inverter and more than paid for itself by saving our food in the frig/freezer plus allowed us to avoid having to go to a hotel. If I had it to do over again, I might consider something slightly larger (1500-1600 Watts) and perhaps even a true sine wave inverter (I realize that a modified sine wave 1500 would be up to twice the price I paid or 6 times for a 1500 Watt true sine wave inverter), but it could be worth it as then I could charge my UPS to run my computers as well (I don't dare do that on a modified sine wave inverter because of all the warning from Whistler that the UPS batteries could overheat and damage it, or to run as my computers either for the same reason), and I could also run my microwave.

I would recommend this for someone that can't afford a larger one or a pure sine wave inverter. I would not go much larger because we are running from the car because if you are consistently drawing over 1000 Watts (about 100 amps on the DC side) and your car alternator does not have more capacity (most cars have under 100 amp capacity in their alternators) you will wreck the battery and, worse, even the alternator. We lucked out that our minivan has a 130 amp alternator so I could run it for extended periods without being worried that I was destroying the battery or the alternator.

Buy Whistler Pro-1200W 1,200 Watt Power Inverter Now

I am powering some lights and the refrigerator (3.5 amps) through a transfer switch in my house. There are two issues. The first is that this inverter creates a hum in my main circuit panel in the house. I tried a Wagan Elite Pure Sine wave inverter and it did not do this, so perhaps its because the Whistler is a mod sine wave? The other issue is that the lights flicker like crazy in the house when the car is running, if I turn off the car the lights are great, start the car and the lights pulse and drive us crazy. I am not sure why this is happening. I called Whistler and they could not figure it out either; they even asked their engineer and he had no idea. As such this one is going back.

Read Best Reviews of Whistler Pro-1200W 1,200 Watt Power Inverter Here

I had this inverter professionally installed by our shop as required because it was going into a company vehicle (semi Tractor). They install a breaker switch at the batteries. I also ordered and had installed the Cobra Inverter 4 gauge cables to run the 8 ft. distance where the unit was to be located. This unit was purchased to operate a mini fridge (Black & Decker) 1.7 cu. ft. and a 700 to 900 watt microwave. The fridge is rated at 120v and operates at maximum 300 watts at start up. It normally operates at 30-50 watts and at start up, I'm only seeing a 135 watt surge. The 1st time I plugged in the fridge the inverter fried. Amazon shipped me another one over night. I connected this one, plugged in the fridge and the unit could not handle the small load (it beeped and the fridge was vibrating) so I returned this unit as well, went to Flying J and purchased a Power Drive 1500 watt on sale for $139.99. This inverter works perfectly with no issues. I contacted the Whistler Corp. customer service regarding the first unit and was advised to return it because it was bad. These inverters are not built very well and are not reliable. Stick with the tried and true quality brands. Granted all our stuff is now made in China, but quality control and proper specs make all the difference in the world.

Python 5704P 574 Responder LC3 SST 2-Way Security with Remote

  • One Mile RangeTM 2-way Responder LC3 security system with remote start and keyless entry

  • Stinger DoubleGuard Shock Sensor and Failsafe Starter Kill

After buying Vipers top end models and seeing Python every time as a alternative recommendation. I finally bought this for my other car and I actually like it more then the Viper model.

The main things that stand out to me is that the buttons are hard instead of the soft mushy type on the Viper. Which for me is nice because when it snows and I've got my gloves on unlocking the car is so much easier.

The range is about the same I can start this about 1/2 mile away. I work in a factory so the walls are thick and a lot of them come between me and the car. However, I've yet to have any problems to get the car started where I work. It doesn't start the car if I go to the other side of factory but then again that's about 1 mile away and a lot of interference coming at it.

Bought for my wife, it works from about a mile way, which is the furthest i could find in the market. Got it installed in my 2012 Acura TL, the only drawback is that on newer cars the unit makes the car turn off when you open the door. The reason that I received was the car is too new and the software isn't available to ensure that the vehicle doesn't turn off when the door is opened. Overall happy with the product itself. Displays the temp inside the car, how long the car has been auto-started for, the battery life, and If the vehicle is armed with it's security. Personally I love that the battery display is there because the devise has an internal rechargeable battery so there's no guess if your battery is low and going to die. Plus it can be recharged with most cell phone chargers. Would definitely buy this again!

Husky Liners Custom Fit Molded Third Seat Floor Liner for Select Vehicles with 2nd Row Bench Seat for Select Chevrolet/Cadillac/GMC ModelsNo complaints but order carefully. I made an oversight when ordering these the first time as I neglected to notice that these were for a Suburban with 2nd row bucket seats not bench like mine. The return and exchange was simple and quick though.

After 4 years the batteries on my mower died. I ordered 2 of these and they work great. The only thing I had to do was drill the hole just a bit bigger so the bolt would fit through. I'm pleased with the purchase.

I purchased two of these for my Friendly Robotics RL800 mower and was disappointed with their performance. While initial run time with these batteries was nearly three hours, within a month that time had dropped to less than 10 minutes.

Friendly Robotics thought the mower was working correctly and that the problem was these UPGs were not up to the task. I bought B.B. Batteries EB20-12X which have been working fine and have also used the Werker WKA12-18NBs.

After about 5 years or so, the battery pack in my B&D CMM 1200 24V mower died. I live in Canada, and bought the mower at Home Depot, so I went there and they don't sell the replacement batteries. I went to the B&D website, and was redirected to DeWalt, (they merged), where I found their replacement batteries. They were around $150 plus shipping, and also stated "backordered". The cynic in me thinks that this is suspicious, since B&D just came out with that sexy new 36V mower, so maybe they aren't going to support the older 24V anymore--"Can't get a battery? Darn, better buy a new mower........" Anyway, I found these batteries after reading a mower blog (who knew there were mower blogs?). They work just fine. There have been some comments that the posts are different, and that is correct, but I didn't need to modify anything. The factory batteries in my mower didn't have external terminals, but rather had screw holes with the wires secured by screws which themselves formed the posts. These new batteries have two terminals with a bolt going through them as can be seen from the photos. So, the wires are held on with screws in both systems, but the screws face in slightly different directions. There may be different variations of this B&D mower, so maybe in some there isn't any slack in the wires, but in mine it worked just fine.

So, if you can get them (maybe not anymore) the factory batteries will cost you about $150-$160 plus shipping, and two of these together were $82 shipped........ I don't know how long they will last, but even if they only last a year or two, I still didn't have to spend over $400 for a new mower yet! I had to pay some brokerage fees to bring the batteries into Canada, but would have had to with the factory battery as well, so it all comes out in the wash.

The title of this review says it all.

This arrived timely, and was EXACTLY the battery I needed to replace one in a booster pack.

Good thing, because there was about 1-2 mm tolerance on each side of the space into which it had to fit.

One "down-side" kept me from giving it a five star rating -the packaging wasn't "robust" enough (especially for a lead-acid battery) and there was a resulting crack in the battery case.

The crack was NOT in such a position as to cause the battery to leak acid -but it might easily have been.

Hey, seller: I'd be willing to pay a buck or two more for more substantial packaging!

Power Bright PW2300-12 Power Inverter 2300 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt AC

Power Bright PW2300-12 Power Inverter 2300 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt ACSo I have had this inverter for a little over a week now, I have tested it for the last few days, this thing is the real deal at a nice price. I had mine running 2 LG 10,000 btu window air conditioners to see if it would work and it worked like a charm! At first i ran the ac units and the wire was getting a little hot at the connections so I used a heavier gauge wire and a better connector and it works great. This inverter was worth every penny in my opinion. I made a battery pack that it connects to power all my fun camping stuff for when I go camping. The product itself is made nicely even the remote looks sweet, they could have cut corners on a lot of things but instead they did not. I love power bright just for that! For those of you that are wondering the inverter itself starts beeping at around 10.5v and its not a loud annoying beep that you will find on other inverters, its gentle to my ears. Also the unit turns off completely @ 10.3v

If you get this unit be sure to read the manual, its pretty short and sweet and has some useful info in it as well. Use 2 gauge or 0 gauge for best results. Make sure you use this with a deep cycle battery for optimum power. I'm extremely picky when it comes to buying anything that is electronic and I can honestly tell you that I cant find anything to complain about at all.

UPDATE!!! Ive had this inverter for about a year and a half now. I use it for satellite power where I need it on job sites and use it 90% of the time. Ive run just about all the big tools you can imagine for a contractor. Big table saws, tile cutters, reciprocating saws, hammer drills, impact drills, shop vacs, my compressor which is a rigid contractor roofing compressor, hell even my 120v ac welder at max setting purrs like a kitten with this thing :) drill chargers, masonry stone cutters (those babies need some serious power cutting through rock!!! I must say this inverter still makes me smile every morning it starts up no problem even though I use it a lot. I cant tell you how many hours i have racked up on old blue. Its well over 1000 by now, That's right i named her ;) I must say i would trust this thing with my life. If you use it all the time like me blow out the fans every 6 months or so to keep them flowing properly. If you keep the fans working this baby will last forever.

After doing much research, my being a nuclear/mechanical engineer & all, I elected to purchase this inverter, so as to power various appliances in our new RV, including a microwave oven, TV, stereo, etc. But instead of just installing it, without knowing what it's real limitations might be, I elected to test it 1st, by hooking it up to numerous ever increasing loads. So initially I used some non-recommended but still very high quality 6 gauge cables that I had lying around, thinking that they should work, just for my brief test period. At this point the inverter failed miserably, by only putting out approx. 600 watts, vs. it's rated 2300 watts = much disappointment. But a call to Power Brights Technical Support Dept. (they are excellent & most helpful) quickly determined that my cables were most likely the problem, as this inverter reportedly looks back at the resistance of the cable, vs. the load which is ramping up, at which point the inverter shuts down rather prematurely, as it's designed to, for safety reasons. In any case, their recommended use of 2-gauge cable, which is clearly stated in the provided Owners manual (I used 2-gauge very flexible welding cables, 6' long) immediately solved my very low output problem, hence this inverter now puts out > 4000 watts surge, with around 3000 watts continuous. So in lieu of it initially just being able to run a 500 watt floodlight, it can now start & run my basements 1/3rd hp sump pump, in conjunction with a 1400 watt microwave, in addition to the 500 watt floodlight, in addition to my 500 watt 3/8 drill, "all starting simultaneously", without a single hesitation, nor peep of any kind. In the meantime, the cables themselves remain at room temperature, with just a slight increase in temperature in the inverters metal case, with not a single cooling fan coming on, even with these rather heavy loads, hence there is no noise what so ever. In summary, this device easily exceeded all of my expectations (powerful & quiet), as I have yet to even find its true load limit. In reality, I'll only be using approx. 1/2 of this inverters output, with plenty of margin, should I need to run a power tool or something, while the microwave is on, and the stereo blaring, etc. And if I had to do all over again, I would purchase the 0-gauge, already made up 6' long power cables from Amazon for ~ $50., along with a $10. Bussmann fuse holder from NAPA (which I did, as it's identical to the 2 fuses holders that already came with our RV from the factory), along with a 225 amp Bussmann fuse for $5. (it's a near perfect match for this inverter), also from NAPA (ie. Amazon offers neither of these products for some reason). So nice job all around by Power Bright = Easy 5 Star Rating.

This inverter is great. It's the perfect alternative to a gas generator. I use it for back up power at home. My wood stove heats the house and this inverter powers my whole den. Cable TV, computer, lights, microwave, etc. I run a string of christmas lights up the stairs to the kithen and bedrooms. My power source is a Diehard PM-1 deepcycle marine platinum battery. It's on trickle charge all the time. A user note is to keep the cord to the TV as short as possible to minimize RF interference. you can also coil up the AC cord to work as an inductive RF choke.

Bought the Power Bright PW2300 as back up power to operate my sump pump and freezer in case of power outages due to hurricane Irene. In a dry run (as it were), I hooked up to my car battery using the recommended 4 gauge connectors and it powered up the sump pump motor ok. But it just could not get the freezer motor to turn on. I knew that pumps can require higher initial starting power than their running power need but felt that I had bought a unit with sufficient power head room. Based on another reviewer's comments, I returned it and bought the Whistler pro 2500 watt inverter for a few dollars less. The Whistler had not come up in my original search so I did not know about it until I noticed the review later. Hooked it up and the freezer started right up no problem. Maybe the difference between "2300" and "2500" was the extra umph that I needed. If you are trying to power household devices then I recommend going with the 2500 as a minimum. As a bonus, the wattage out indicator in the Whistler worked much better than the Power Bright's which often did not indicate watts if they were too low.

First one arrived late March 2010. Watt meter did not read anything and the remote was broke. The box had no visual damage to it so I figure it was in the packing at the company. Paid for the shipping back to company. Second one arrived late April 2010 and everything has been good up to Nov 30, 2010, just over 7 months and now one of the outlets are bad. You can hear the crackling when something is plugged into it. Called the company and YES, I have to pay for the shipping AGAIN back to them from Maine to Florida to be repaired. The company told me I should have a spare anyways just in case something like this happens. Great $200 to $250.00 sitting on the shelf, yea right. It will not happen again with this company. I will sell this unit when it arrives back to me fixed and I will order from a different company this week. This inverter will end up costing me over $50.00 more now because of the extra shipping and finding another way to run my freezer and lights. Screw them!

Avantree BTTC-200X-BLK Bluetooth Receiver and Transmitter Adapter (Black)

Avantree BTTC-200X-BLK Bluetooth Receiver and Transmitter AdapterI tried wired connections between an 1984 AR turntable and firstly an iPod dock/speaker with bluetooth and then one without (via a phono amp). In both cases there was a bad ground loop hum, caused I believe by the iPod charging circuits. The Avantree Saturn, in transmission mode, solved this problem easily and its AptX codec combined with the first, AptX enabled iPod dock/speaker resulted in a much finer sound quality than I was expecting. Its a neat little device.

I use this mainly In my car and then at home.

So many uses and good sound quality. Now the following are usable with bluetooth.

My little dot MK 3 headphone amp.

Car stereo.

Portable speaker.

Stereo receiver.

Only con is that it beeps about every 5 seconds when the battery is running low. Pretty annoying.

I have only used the product in Tx mode. I use it with my Sennheiser 550mx. I appreciate nice quality music. And I hated streaming the music from my nexus 4 which doesn't support aptX. So when I stumbled upon this one I wanted to give it a try. I also considered Jaybird Usport Bluetooth Adapter but thought it was more expensive and only a transmitter so went with this one.

This is of the size of ipod nano (5th generation, square one). Battery life is great. Last for about 8-10 hours without requiring charge up.

I almost returned the product after the first use as the sound was cracking so much in my headset it irritated me. But then I restarted my headset and this little magic box and the music was awesome from then on. I held on to it. It stream great music.. and i didnt feel drop in the quality of the music when I connect my headset in wired mode or using this transmitter and it definitely sounds better than Nexus 4 inbuilt bluethooth. This is the first product I gave 5 stars out of hundreds of things I bought on Amazon.

Pro's: Acceptable quality for Apt-X but not as good as some. Volume output from the device is high enough for standard stereo inputs, which is a fault of some of the other devices. Very useful as a transmitter as there are very few aptx transmitters on the market.

Cons: very poor range. I could barely go more than 5 or 6 feet without it cutting out.

When charging, it will not receive a signal unless you physically press a button on the device; you can't simply pair your phone and push play.

Summary: If you simply need a bluetooth receiver the Samsung HS3000 is one of the best. Better alternatives for apt-x receivers are:

1) Marmitek boomboom 90

2) QED uplay and uplay plus

3) Nokia MD-310

I bought this gadget because I wanted to use the Jambox bluetooth speaker I got for Xmas with my ancient Sony stereo receiver (I wanted to use the bluetooth speaker in the kitchen so I could listen to music in there without wires). After reviewing the available choices, I felt that this was the best one on the market. And it is! Fantastic sound quality and good range. Easy to pair with the Jambox. Its signal is also superior to the Ipod Touch's. So far, I've only used it as a transmitter, but I am going to test it soon as a receiver and see how it works. Plus it comes with a mini stereo cable, an RCA cable, and a mini usb cable. And it has a really good manual. I'm going to give this sucker a workout over the next few weeks to see if it lives up the 5-star rating; but I think it will. I recommend the Saturn to anyone looking to pair an older stereo/portable CD player/etc. with a bluetooth speaker/headphone. Well done, Avantree!
