Tsunami RT804P Heavt Duty Ring Terminals (Pair)

Tsunami RT804P Heavt Duty Ring Terminals
  • Solid Heavy Duty Ring Terminals
  • 5/16" ring
  • 4 gauge with covers

I originally used a street wires twist connector which looked much nicer but this is way more practical for your average Joe Blow doing an install. The twist connects that Street Wires sells look nice but this is way more secure solution.

Baofeng UV5RA Ham Two Way Radio 136-174/400-480 MHz Dual-Band Transceiver (Black)

Baofeng UV5RA Ham Two Way Radio 136-174/400-480 MHz Dual-Band Transceiver
  • More Stubborn Case, More Rich and Enhanced Features
  • Frequency Range: 136-174 / 400-480MHz; 25KHz/12.5KHz Switchable
  • 128 Channels 50 CTCSS and 104 CDCSS; Channel Step: 2.5/5/6.25/10/12.5/25KHz
  • Dual-Band Display, Dual Frequency Display, Dual-Standby; A/B band independent operation
  • Comes with all necessary accessories, backed up by 12 Months Seller Warranty

If you compare the Baofeng UV-5R to the latest offerings from Icom, Yaesu, and Kenwood, you wouldn't think it's a 5-star radio. But when you look at the price they're asking for the UV-5R, 5 stars hardly seems enough. This is a fantastic value. For under forty-five bucks you get a pocket-sized dual band radio, complete with earphone/mike and a desktop drop-in charger. Heck, Icom gets almost as much as this radio sells for just for the charger! NOt enough? It'll also cover FMRS and GMRS frequencies, receive the FM broadcast band, and there's even a built in flashlight!

So you've got to figure there's a catch, right? And there is: Programming this radio from the front panel is a royal pain in the caboose. After studying helpful web pagesnot the manufacturer's manualI'm now comfortable programming single frequencies and repeater offsets in, but I still don't seem to be able to put the in memory properly. The manufacturer supplies a program that's supposed to make programming easier, but the word is that it's as confusing as the front panel controls.

Luckily there's a fix. A group of dedicated hams have created a program called CHIRP that's available for Windows, OSX, and Linux that's as easy to use as a spreadsheet. Just type in the frequencies, offsets, CTSS, comments, etc., and hit upload. Unfortunately Amazon doesn't allow web links in reviews but you can find it by googling CHIPS and UV-5R. You'll also need the USB Programming Cable for BAOFENG UV-5R UV-3R+ Two way Radio With Driver CD to connect the radio to your computer, too. If you're interested in learning more about this radio before your order one, a good place to start is the user reference at miklor dot com slash uv-5r.

Buy Baofeng UV5RA Ham Two Way Radio 136-174/400-480 MHz Dual-Band Transceiver (Black) Now

In short: as of around mid December 2012, buy this one.

Best antenna for this: The Diamond SRJ77CA. Alternately, the Nagoya NA-771 SF if you are on a budget.

I was trying to figure out which version to get on here, frustrated by the reviews, so I decided to buy them all and report. I had read that the various versions are all the same radio, just the style and color vary: UV-5R, 5RA, 5RC, 5RE, 5R+, 5R Mk II, UV-E5, UV-5R Plus. This is true, so it comes down to which one is going to ship with the most recent firmware.

The firmware varies, but there does not seem to be much of a difference in performance. Holding "3" while you turn the radio on gets you the firmware version. I bought this mid-December, 2012 and got firmware version BFB295. I thought BFB293 was the latest but this is even more recent. The "UV-5R Plus" that I bought from Amazon for more money was BFB293, but I don't notice any difference at all in the functionality of the two.

For programming channels, don't bother trying to program directly to the radio get the programming cable. You can buy the cheap connector, search for CHIRP software, and navigate that with some frustration. If you would rather spend a bit more and skip the frustration, look into the RT Systems connector and software which works perfectly without any frustration.

This can transmit on Multi-Use Radio Service (MURS) with no license required. It also transmits on General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) which technically requires a license. However, "bubble-pack pirates" persons who use GMRS without a license are common. It also transmits on the HAM bands and even some commercial and emergency frequencies, so be careful what frequencies you transmit on according to your licensing.

Construction? Much better than you're expecting. I have a $450 Yaesu VX-8DR, and this does 99% of what I used the Yaesu for day to day. It's not submersible, so don't take it into the bath tub with you, but at $44 it's practically disposable. The accessories are dirt cheap too. The volume can get much louder on a 5R than any other HT that I've used.

Update 12/28/12: I bought a second one, received on Dec-21-2012, this time it was the BFB293 firmware rather than the BFB295 that I received two weeks prior.

Update 1/4/13: I bought a different, earlier UV-5R variant that came with BFB297 firmware. These radios are all the same, it seems to be a crap shoot what firmware you'll get.

Purchased this HT hoping it would deliver as advertised and it did. 5RA with new 293 firmware. All items advertised,(including headset) were included in package. Could program this via USB cable(not included) by CHIRP and BAOFENG VIP software from my laptop with no problems. USB programming cable was ordered also on Amazon from other vendor for around $7 with $2 shipping China Post. Ordered radio and cable on same day and they both arrived on same day (china post shipped cable only took 6 days to East Coast USA). I am very pleased with this item and vendor. ... One note, the metallic front speaker piece in pictures looks silverish but when looking at it in person it is anodized, shiny black like the rest of the HT's frame. Very stylish!

ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: You need a license to use this HT on any of the frequencies it is approved by the FCC to transmit on. Ham frequencies part 97 and FCC reg. part 90 only. Even though it will transmit on FRS/GMRS and many other frequencies it is illegal to do so and interference to licensed users may result in confiscation, fines or imprisonment by the FCC and other authorities depending on what you do & how bad you tick them off. For more details see my comments section.

**EDITED UPDATE:as per comments for my review I will add that the picture shown has changed from a 5RA to 5R but the description has stayed the same. Hopefully it is just a mistaken picture. I also know a lot of people say it is hard to program by hand but after a week of daily use it is quite easy to remember what is what but I still use CHIRP and/or VIP software for major changes and frequency updates. I have no problem with my USB programming. I thought I did at one point but it turned out to be software related and not the HT's fault. After about 2 weeks now of use this HT is working just fine but I haven't looked at its harmonics yet. From what I gather, bad harmonics on TX is hit and miss to the individual radio. After two weeks of use, I can comfortably upgrade my 4 star to 5 star rating but will add an aftermarket antenna. With stock antenna I was able to pick up an Amateur satellite within an hour of first programming out of the box. This is an amazing little radio and an amazing value. You get the radio, 1800 mah battery, drop-in charger, and ear-bud/mic headset for less than you might expect to pay for the battery alone! The radio is packed with features mostly useful, some amusing. Note that it is primarily a ham radio transceiver and you must be a licensed ham to legally transmit on ham frequencies.

The user manual that comes with the radio is useful but scanty. It only scratches the surface of how to set up and operate the radio. Out of the box, you can't do much of anything without some programming. An experienced ham can figure it out, but a new ham buying his first radio will likely be frustrated. This could be the radio for a new ham, but only with some help, preferably from an experienced user that already owns one. For example, frequency steps must be reduced to enable setting popular frequencies, and repeater offsets (not just +/-) must be specified. Fortunately, this radio has an enthusiastic and extremely helpful user group. Before buying the radio, I strongly recommend checking out miklor dot com slash uv5r. If you do buy the radio, you will really appreciate this resource!

A programming cable (purchased separately) is almost a necessity. The cable you buy will probably need an older driver to work. The previously mentioned resource will help you here also.

In sum, these are highly capable, highly quirky units that can provide lots of entertainment and useful operation once you figure out how to set them up. My ham radio group bought a bunch of them for go-kits.

UPDATE: About a dozen of these radios have been purchased by hams in my locality. Every one of them operated properly out of the box. One has been since damaged by dropping it on a hard surface. The radio itself was fine, but the supplied antenna suffered internal damage (resolved by replacing the antenna with an after market antenna). In terms of programming the radio, about half of the users had someone else program the radio using an optional programming cable. Note that one cable can program any number of radios, the caveat being that you need the proper driver on whatever computer is being used. Also note any programming cable for Baofeng, Wouxun, and Kenwood handy/talkies will work. One industrious ham made a programming file that includes all the area ham repeaters, GMRS, FRS, Marine VHF and NOAA weather frequencies. This file was shared by several, and had the added benefit of identical memory channel numbers. As suggested elsewhere, programming the radios manually is somewhat challenging and the "newbies" needed help. After many new radios and quite a bit of use, no one in our group has been disappointed by their purchase.

Just as a background, I have 30 years of radio experience and have several dozen radios of all kinds and brands. I routinely test these radios just to compare them to give you an idea of how well they perform compared to a similarly priced product.

I am going to use 3 radios for this test. This is the scenario:

Test Equipment:

1 Baofeng UV-5RA

1 Motorola MS350Rwil be used as the Base station for testing

1 Motorola MT352R

Test Environment:

My wife will stand outside our house with an MS350R as I walk away. Every 0.1 miles, I will do a radio check. I have set all the radios to the same frequency and Privacy code.

Distance Test:

0.1 Miles

1. Baofeng Crystal clear on send and receive.

2. MT352R Crystal clear on send and receive.

Test: 0.1 Mile

1. Baofeng Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends.

2. MT352R Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends. Louder and Clearer than the Baofeng.

Test: 0.2 Miles

1. Baofeng Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends.

2. MT352R Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends. Louder and Clearer than the Baofeng.

Test: 0.3 Miles

1. Baofeng Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends.

2. MT352R Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends. Louder and Clearer than the Baofeng.

Test: 0.4 Miles

1. Baofeng Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends.

2. MT352R Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends. Louder and Clearer than the Baofeng.

Test: 0.5 Miles

1. Baofeng Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends.

2. MT352R Crystal clear on send and receive on both ends.

Test: 0.6 Miles

1. Baofeng There was a little noise in the background on receive but it came in crystal clear on the transmit.

2. MT352R There was a little noise in the background but it was still very clear on send and receive on both ends.

Test: 0.7 Miles

1. Baofeng There was a little noise in the background on receive but it came in crystal clear on the transmit. The Baofeng was coming in louder than the MT352R.

2. MT352R There was a little noise in the background but it was still very clear on send and receive on both ends.

Test: 0.8 Miles

1. Baofeng There was a little noise in the background on receive but it came in crystal clear on the transmit. The Baofeng was coming in louder than the MT352R.

2. MT352R There was a little noise in the background but it was still very clear on send and receive on both ends.

Test: 0.9 Miles

1. Baofeng There was a little noise in the background on receive but it came in crystal clear on the transmit. The Baofeng was coming in louder than the MT352R.

2. MT352R There was a little noise in the background but it was still very clear on send and receive on both ends.

Test: 1 Mile

1. Baofeng There was more noise in the background on receive but had some noise on the transmit. The Baofeng was coming in louder than the MT352R.

2. MT352R There was more noise in the background but we can still communicate.

Test: 1.2 Miles

1. Baofeng Her transmission was choppy. The transmission was very noisy. It was very choppy on the receive side. She had to repeat herself several times in order for me to understand. I had to repeat myself a couple of time with the Baofeng as well but a little better than the MT352R.

2. MT352R Her transmission was choppy. The transmission was very noisy. It was choppy on both sides. We both had to repeat ourselves several times in order to understand.

Features of the Baofeng:

Pros:

1. Audible menus I love that this thing talks to me as I navigate the menus.

2. Emergency flashlight and strobe light If you are stuck somewhere you can turn on the strobe and it makes you more visible.

3. Tiny size.

4. Removable antenna You can connect this to a mobile antenna.

5. Very long battery life Out of the box, I used this radio for 3 days straight without charging it.

6. FM Radio This is an awesome feature in such a small radio. You can listen to music when you are outside. And if someone talks in one of the channels you are monitoring, it turns of the FM and switches to Handheld radio mode.

7. Inexpensive.

Cons:

1. Not for the novice user. It took me a few hours to figure out how to program all the features on the keypad.

2. Not as durable as an Icom, Yaesu or Kenwood. Then again, those cost a lot more.

COMPARATIVE SUMMARY:

The Baofeng's removable rubber duck antenna and 4-5 Watts of power seems to be a little better in clarity in the longer distances. The Motorola is definitely louder and clearer in distances less than 0.5 miles. The Baofeng is really intended for Ham Licensed Operators since it handles Ham Frequencies and requires programming on the front keypad or by computer using an optional external cable and software. I did not bother with the software as I am used to programming radios all the time. A novice will have great difficulty understanding how to use this Baofeng as the User's Guide does seem to assume you are a Ham Operator.

So to you Ham guys out there, this is a nice radio. I am even building a Repeater using this Baofeng, just for fun. But for you guys that just want a working radio that you can talk on the GMRS/FRS frequencies, the higher powered Motorolas will do just fine.

Soundfly BT Ultimate Bluetooth Car Fm Transmitter WMA/MP3 Player for SD Card, USB Charger, iPhone 5

Soundfly BT Ultimate Bluetooth Car Fm Transmitter WMA/MP3 Player for SD Card, USB Charger, iPhone 5, 4s, 4, 3Gs & 3G, iPod, Zune, Android & Windows Mobile Smartphones
  • Simple plug & play - Bluetooth Ver. 2.0: Hands-free, AVRCP, A2DP - Reads MP3 & WMA files
  • Transmits on all FM frequencies (88.1MHz-107.9MHz) - Memorizes up to 7 FM frequencies
  • RDS (Radio Data System): Caller ID and song information (works with only SD card) on your compatible radio display.
  • Standard USB port for charging(5V 0.5 Amp), SD slot for music playback, external microphone & 2.5mm stereo output & input 3.5mm cable included
  • Remote features: Answer/End calls, Volume Up & Down, Folder Shift, Fast Forward & Rewind, Repeat.

To get a bluetooth hands free device that also plays my music through my car's sound system for only 80 bucks I think is a sweet deal! I've had it for about a week, it's been working great and I love it! The sound quality seems the same as any other radio station. That includes the fact that when people call and I hear them through my speakers, they sound like someone calling into a radio station, which is kind of cool. :) Haven't made many calls using bluetooth yet, but so far the person on the other line says they can't even tell I'm using a hands free device.

Pros:

It's a great idea that works well.

The price is reasonable.

I love being able to play music from a flash drive or an SD card.

It remembers the last song that was playing when I turned the car off and picks back up with that song when I start driving again.

The music pauses automatically when a call comes in and it shows the number of the incoming call on its screen.

You can either clip the mic on to your shirt or seat belt when you want to use it, or it comes with a different clip that attaches to your visor so it's always ready to go. They provide two adhesive clips for the wire to fit into so you can guide the wire along a non-obtrusive path.

Cons:

You need to use your phone to make a call; pressing the call button on the device redials the last number, rather than activating voice command.

When playing from USB/SD card, it only supports 1999 songs and 20 folders. The music also must be in a folder named MP3 or Soundfly. This means that if you sync with Windows Media player, you will need to select the option for it to not create a folder hierarchy (otherwise it creates a folder for each artist) and then copy the songs from the root directory on the drive to the MP3/Soundfly directory.

It can't read songs with any digital rights info (though I think this is pretty common).

The users manual and packaging have a bunch of grammatical mistakes. The English was clearly either translated with some mistakes or written by someone who is not fluent.

Most of the buttons and functionality are through the remote, which must be pointed directly at the device (I don't find it necessary to use it very often, though).

I haven't found any of these cons to be a big deal, though, just minor things that leave some room for improvement. I would say this a great product, which I am recommending to my friends and family.

Buy Soundfly BT Ultimate Bluetooth Car Fm Transmitter WMA/MP3 Player for SD Card, USB Charger, iPhone 5 Now

Through the years I have used several FM modulators and I have used several Bluetooth devices, but the Soundfly BT is the first Bluetooth/FM modulator that is completely integrated. What this means is that you have one device that will allow you to play your iPod/iPhone over your car's speakers and also have the ability to make hands free calls. The Soundfly BT also comes with a handy little remote control that can help you change FM stations on the modulator, answer phone calls, and give you total control over your music.

Before we go into the review some people are not familiar with how a FM modulator works. What it does is that it transmits a signal form a device to a static-filled FM station. What this means is that you find a station that does not have anything broadcasted on it ...say... 87.9 (depending on where you live)... and you set both the FM Modulator and your radio to that station. The FM Modulator then *broadcasts* a signal to the previously static filled station.

A couple of caveats to this review. I am reviewing this exclusively as an accessory to an iPod Touch/iPhone (Gen 4). I did not try using the SD card for playing music...since I really don't have a need since we store all of our music on our iPods.

Features

+Excellent FM Modulator. While no FM modulator is *perfect* this one is the closet that I have come across.

+ The remote control offers a lot of functionality. It allows you to answer calls, change stations on the FM Modulator, change the volume (which is a neat trick), shuffle through folders, advance and skip songs. I am REALLY surprised at how often I use the remote

+ Sound quality for phone calls is very good. Much better than I expected. The person you are talking to knows that they are on speaker phone, but the interference seems to be minimal.

+ Well-designed everything seems to make sense such as the way the Soundfly BT can pivot to fit into almost every 12V power source.

+ It has a USB power source! This allows you to charge/power any device that plugs into your computers USB port.

Areas of Concerns

Don't lose the manual! I looked (briefly) and wasn't able to find a copy of the manual online... it may be there...if so could you leave me a comment?

About 25-50% of the time the Bluetooth does not seem to sync with my iPod. While my iPod shows that it is paired with the Soundfly BT I am unable to get music to play. I am able to solve the problem by powering my iPod off and back on. It is a bit of an annoyance, which is why I am taking off 1/2 star.

Not overly intuitive on how to operate (outside of the remote) or to pair the Soundfly BT with your iPod/iPhone. For reference press the *Green* phone key until you hear an audible beep over your speakers. Once the Soundfly BT is found by your device use the code "0000" to pair the devices.

I wish that the Soundfly BT had an integrated microphone. The wired microphone works well, but I prefer not having extra wires hanging around my dashboard.

Final Verdict While there are a couple of minor issues I am very happy with the Soundfly BT. There are tons of positive features with the Soundfly BT that makes it well worth the purchase price!

4 to 4 1/2 Stars

Read Best Reviews of Soundfly BT Ultimate Bluetooth Car Fm Transmitter WMA/MP3 Player for SD Card, USB Charger, iPhone 5 Here

I bought this product after seeing the review over here. I had VR3 USB-SD transmitter for over 4 years and was looking for new one after it broke.

First and foremost, the Satechi Customer service is excellent, very prompt response and prompt delivery. I Could give 10 stars for their support.

Pros on this product,

i) Bluetooth and MP3 Player with stereo FM transmitter

ii) The remote works for folder froward and track forward (lagged in VR3)

iii) Quality of FM transmission, constant stereo transmission with good signal.

CONS:

i) Limited folder level, Satechi should bring some Firmware to recognise more folders (VR3 has unlimited folder level)

ii) Remote power is weak, should plan to improve on this. works only line of site, maximum 3 feet away (in car it doesnt matter, but you have to have your hand pointed towards the unit, depending on model, could be painful).

iii) Not all the functions available in the unit, if you loose remote you loose,

Save or book mark option

A-B option

Folder switch option

When I received the product, I was surprised with the quality of the sound in FM, it was near CD quality, when I used VR3, I could see a huge difference in the audio quality using SD and USB disks. When I connect external source (cd player or computer and transmit, the volume is much better and the range of reception is about 35 feet with walls in between. I plugged this unit with wall power adapter, and used portable player to transmit, then I could receive signal in basement and second floor without any problems.

After 4 days, using bluetooth in car, the receiver could not hear me clearly and the remote I received I had to hold very close to the unit (literally less than 2 inches). I was little upset due to this considering the price I paid. (may be mine was one of the unlucky one's)

Sent a mail to support in Satechi, less than two hours, received prompt response, with couple of mails, then arranged for replacement unit. for some reason it got delayed, but the Customer serveice repsentative was curteous and helpfull tracking the package and made sure it is picked up on following day. Due to their response, I even kind of forgot on the issue and cooled down. was looking forward the new unit. It arrived two days ago and testing. So far so good, the MP is working really good and remote works about 3 feet from the unit (useful when I connect this at home). On bluetooth connectivity I am still need to test fully, so far it appears to be okay, the receiver is able to hear me okay. have to try during long drive and check. will update my posting soon on this.

Over all great product, if they over come the short falls (directory recognition and increased power on remote,) I would give them 5 Stars.

Compare to Vr3, much better product, there is very low interference and static. I would recommend this product.

As promised, I am updating my experience with Bluetooth

So far so good, when I drive in city the bluetooth quality is good at the receiving end, but when I drive in Highway at 70 to 75 MPH, the receiver complained I am breaking. It appears that mic is too sensitive and picking up the vehicle vibration, I am still trying to get an optimum location for the mic to reduce outside noise. Since within city limit, the quality is good I am not worried much.

Also, the sound quality on my radio in the car is really really good. So Bluetooth works for me. I am not planning to return this product, I recommend this to any one looking for great quality of sound and a versatile product.

On FM transmitter, the power is sufficient enough to suppress a moderate radio signal (88.5 is NPR station in Dayton, I am able to suppress this thru this unit). So as far as static is concerned it is virtually null if use free or moderate station channel.

Return on Cost is good compare to options I explored like Parot and other dealer supplied Bluetooth units.

Over all I will give 4.5 for this, giving room for other improvements suggested earlier.

Satechi, Great product, looking for advanced one in future from you. Your customer service Rocks!!!!!!!! Great and thanks a ton for a good product.

Want Soundfly BT Ultimate Bluetooth Car Fm Transmitter WMA/MP3 Player for SD Card, USB Charger, iPhone 5 Discount?

Manual is horrible. Just says few things about basic operation.

Make two annoying loud bell sound (through your car FM radio) when you start the car (Assuming you left this device in cigarette lighter socket while turning off your car last time). Not sure why this is needed. Manual does not seem to say anything about it.

Bluetooth connects fine with cellphones equipped with bluetooth. Microphone picks up my voice fine. It is a wired microphone(provided) There is no built in microphone on this device. Place it near your speedometer panel (or visor). Do not place it near the car fan vents. You will have to run the wire using some tiny wire clips or glue. Without the microphone you can't use cellphone bluetooth.

DO NOT COUNT ON headphone out when using SD card or USB Port to play music. Headphone out is ONLY FOR THE BLUETOOTH usage from cellphone. I wrote to Satechi/Soundfly tech support to confirm this. It would have made a great device if I could play music from SD card and connect the headphone out to my car's AUX-in port. It WOULD have given me better quality sound than FM.

Customer support: They respond (but slow). They do not understand english well (or your problem well). Simple sentences and examples will get you answer in one or two sentences.

Looks well constructed. Display is complicated and takes time to learn.

Before I get into the review, just let me say that I am a techie guy. I love gadgets. I love computers. I love cell phones. If this isn't you, you may have a different opinion of this device than I do.

I spent quite a bit of time looking at this (and other) devices to play MP3's in my car. I recently purchased little 2 seater that doesn't have much room and only a single CD player, but was use to having a CD changer in my Cadillac. I knew that I could get more music on an SD card than I could ever have in a CD changer and didn't want to replace the factory stereo in my car. I ran across several MP3 players that plug into the cigarette lighter and began to see who all offered them and what people were saying.

I read the reviews and then ran into this little gizmo that not only played MP3's but also connected to a cell phone via bluetooth. I looked at this and several other products for about two weeks before I purchased. Therefore, I was well aware of the pluses and minuses of this device.

The Good:

It plays MP3's well. I live in a rural area and the reception of the signal on my radio is great ... even if it is walking on a weak radio station signal. The only time I have noticed any additional static is when I am driving by one of those huge radio station antennas. Other than that, the sound is very good for being in a car. But, let's be honest: How good does the sound reproduction have to be in a car? There is road and wind noise most of the time while you are driving! In my case, I don't notice any difference between the MP3 reception and playing a CD.

The bluetooth implimentation has been flawless. The sound is great and the only time I have had difficulties having the person on the other end hear me well is when the my cell phone is flaking out.

The Bad:

It has been well documented in the other reviews that this product can only access 20 directories. However, it can see up to 1999 files. OK ... who really wants to put 100 MP3's in a directory? It would be great if there were more directories available, but I knew this going in. So ... if I want to organize my music by album (as is typical), I can only put 20 albums on an SD card. What CD changer does that? And, if I want to, I can always find space somewhere for a couple more SD cards in my car ... even if it is a 2 seater.

Also ... the battery on the remote was bad when I got it even though there was a plastic protector that had to be pulled out before use. I don't know how it could have been used up at that point, but I got another battery and it works great.

Everything else:

I have yet to try to use an MP3 player of any kind because that wasn't my goal. However, I do intend to try an IPod at some point in the future.

I put a little bit of velcro on the bottom of the remote and mounted it on my center console. It "almost" looks factory and works great there. I never have to search for it. The controls on the remote are much easier to use than to try to use the controls on the SoundFly BT itself.

I used the included sun visor mount for the microphone for the bluetooth, ran the cable behind the panels etc into the center console so the cord for the microphone is not visible except just before it goes into the SoundFly. Again, the sound is great and no one even knows it is there unless I point it out.

I played around with how I had my music organized and have come to a fairly good point with what I have on the card. Overall, I am very happy with the SoundFly BT. If lost it ... I'd buy another.

At first, I was pretty annoyed with these chargers, since the adapters they sent did not fit into the appropriate slot on my Archos player. After an exchange with Gomadic Tech Support (who were fast and friendly), I learned that their adapter was, in fact, a correct fit except for some extra plastic 'keys' on one side. Basically, these needed to be removed for the adapter to fit. They gave me a choice. Either they could remove these for me and send me some new adapters, or I could force the adapters into the slot (essentially shaving off the keys myself).

I chose the latter option, since I did not feel like mailing things back and forth. It did work, and now the chargers function fine. Of course, it seems like the adapters should have been molded to fit the unit properly in the first place........

This charger is good for a person who is travelling and does not need to lug on a laptop for charging via USB....otherwise the time taken for charging the Archos is roughly 4-5 hrs similar to the USB charging....so there is no addded benifit for fast and quick charging with this charger.

I just recently bought this amp with a Planet Audio 12" 2400 Watt Sub 4 ohm DVC wired for 2 ohms in a custom ported box. Lets just say my 2010 Ford Fusion is bumping so loud that I had a couple of picture frames in the house fall off of the wall. This amp is a beast. It handles anything I can throw at it without much draw on my battery or stock alternator. The amp is cool to the touch after 2+ hours of constant abuse. I would definately buy this. You wont find a better amp for the money. I went through 2 amps of the same price range and power and had problems with both. I am extemely pleased with this purchase. I would also recommend building or having a custom box built to spec for any system. It will make the world of difference in sound quality and bangin' bass.

Let me start off by saying that this amp is exactly what it is a really great built amp. The heat sinks on the sides are pretty sharp fresh out of the box so be careful. I really wanted the BRZ1200.1d but they were out of stock and for 100$ more i got the 2100.1d and im only running it on 3 ohms on 3 10" Kicker 07cvr102, my db is at 1/2 and my knob is at 1/4 my head unit has bass boost but since im getting more then enough power im keeping it off. I have been thru so many off brand amps like PA, Crunch and even name brands like Rockford and Kenwood even the jl 500/1, i will admit that the JL has a better damping factor and i love accurate bass this amp is about 290 Damping factor so im still getting tight and accurate response. 0 Gauge this bad boy down nothing less, and if your planning on running a factory battery and alternator, i advise picking up a kinetik khc battery, not that this amp drains my battery but to really yield its full potential i'd spend a extra 160$ but if your on a budget just make sure you have your stock electrical system checks out, i have this system inside of a tattered 98 Nissan Altima, but inside of a well built car like cadillac this system does more then the job. I recommend this amp to any and all who are looking for power under priced. DONT ABUSE IT AND IT WILL BE WORTH IT. ( meaning please wire your speakers in accordance to your subs and amps owner manual for 1ohm stable levels)

This amp has a lot to offer. Never mind the sharp edges. The Hifonics Brutus 2100 runs fairly cool to the touch and delivers power that will rock everything from your vehicle to the cars parked next to you. I have run this amp tor a few months now with flawless performance. very happy with this product

This amp is amazing. It has the exact same board as AQ/SQ 2200. The amplifier never gets hot, Ive ran it for a solid 2 hours straight and never got hot. Puts out clean power and LOUD! Doesn't distort, doesn't get dirty, and it definitely turns heads haha. Great product, hifonics is dope.

Husky Liners Custom Fit WeatherBeater Behind 3rd Row Seat Rear Cargo Liner for Select Honda Odyssey

Husky Liners Custom Fit WeatherBeater Behind 3rd Row Seat Rear Cargo Liner for Select Honda Odyssey ModelsI compared this one, with the OEM Honda one and the Weathertech one. It adequately works to line the cargo space but fitment around the edges isn't quite precise like the OEM and Weathertech. I ended up keeping this one because it is good enough for what it's meant to do and it was cheaper than the other two options by $40 because I found it as a Warehouse Deal.

Belkin AC Wall and USB Charger for iPod with Dock Connector (White)

Belkin AC Wall and USB Charger for iPod with Dock Connector
  • USB/AC wall charger designed for all dock-connecting iPods; compatibility: iPod 3G, 4G, 5G, 6G; nano 1G, 2G, 3G; iPod touch; iPod mini
  • Connects to audio player via included iPod-to-USB cable
  • Ideal as backup charger for traveling or the office
  • Cable measures 4 feet long for easy connections
  • Backed by 3-year warranty

The first time I used this wall charger, it did exactly what it was supposed to do, which was charge my iPod. Even though it doesn't seem relevant, I enjoyed the little blue light on the face of the unit. After using it, I unplugged the charger and set in on my desk. The second time I tried to plug in the charger, no lie, I noticed the electrical prongs from the charger itself were still in the wall outlet. Yep. When I unplugged the charger, the metal prongs broke off and stayed in the wall. It happened so easily that I didn't even notice it had broken until the next time I tried to use it. The most fun part about it was trying to find a useful rubber or plastic tool to pull the prongs out of the outlet. Yes it will charge your iPod. Yours may not break. Mine did. Luckily, Belkin seems to have pretty good customer service and warranties, so they are replacing the charger for free. All I have to do is pay to ship the defective unit to them :)

I originally purchased this product as I was traveling outside of the US and wanted something lightweight that I could use anywhere for both my iPhone and iPod as a recharger. This product has more than met my expectations. It is extremely lightweight to the point where I can slip it into my pants pocket, go wherever I need to go, and use it. I use this at home to keep my phone charged next to my bed, and use it to quickly charge my iPod when I'm not near my computer.

Note that the USB-to-device cord is only for recharging your devices; you can actually connect it to your computer, however, it will not transfer files, just recharge your device.

Charger works, USB cable doesn't. So I use my own cable.

I read the reviews and it seems this Belkin unit works "great" if it works at all. And if it doesn't work people are understandably unhappy. I didn't return mine, I just threw out the cable and used the one I got with my iPod. Works fine that way. I figure I lucked out in that it was just the cable that was bad. If the whole thing was bad I'd have to return it for a refund. Too bad they don't just sell the wall wart without the cable. We wasted a bit of time trying to figure out what was wrong.

Probably wouldn't wanna buy Belkin products again. I can't see why poor quality control wouldn't be the norm in all their other products.

PAC PAC-200 200 Amp Power Relay

PAC PAC-200 200 Amp Power RelaySo far I have 4 of these in 4 ea. 1 year old trucks running optima D31 batteries and inverters inside, along with this isloator model to prevent load on the truck's starting battery. One truck is equipped with dual D31's for extended inverter runtime.

With 48 truck-months of usage we've had no failures or trouble of any kind, if you are interested we also wired two trucks with the ability to jumpstart themselves using this (it's rated for 300A surge). It does mean an extra wire and switch inside the cab but beats bringing the jumper cart out in the weather.

During the year of use, there have been no more emergency jump starts, no more dead trucks on monday, and the inverter systems have run fine. With the extra current from the alternator we can run the inverters (I'll admit a hodgepodge of models purchased at different times) for extended periods of time as needed to support heavy power tools to cell phone chargers.

Drivers do appreciate the "clunk" this isolator makes when engaged. The audible noise lets you know the two electrical systems are tied.

I would recommend a shunt style ampmeter if room permits.

Install as described, No worries...Koool to hear switch clunk when you turn on accessory! Solid sounding, well made...

Huge fan of the relay. Not only does it save the battery up front from dying out on me, but if the battery up front ever dies, it's a flip of a switch and boom! Jump start with no cables. Little extra wiring, but so worth it. I use it to isolate three commercial grade batteries from my optima red top up front, and it works wonders!

Quick Cable 604050 WSL RESCUE Jump Pack 900 Model

Quick Cable 604050 WSL RESCUE Jump Pack 900 ModelI own a small car dealership in central Texas. The heat zaps batteries out here all the time. I saw a lot of great reviews on this battery box and that is why I went with it. It is a lot lighter than the one I have used in the past and still packs a punch. It holds a good charge as well. Jumped several batteries back to back with no issues. I would highly recommend this model.

I work for AAA and this is the jump box I use 5 days a week. It is very powerful and gets most every car started. The size is small for the power out put also. It is also very drop resistent. It would be a great product at twice the price...

Buy Quick Cable 604050 WSL RESCUE Jump Pack 900 Model Now

Excellent product. Well engineered, well made and no frilly stuff.

Best feature is it can be charged with any extension cord, no hunting for the right wall wart to charge it. Have not used it for jump starting but the 18Ah battery should work well for a car or pickup (probably not great for a diesel). Is very handy as portable 12V power source for low to medium loads. Simple LEDs indicate state-of-charge or charging status. A little on the pricey side but not having to deal with a wall wart makes the price worth it to me.

Bought two more for the company and one for personal use. Recommended.

Bon-Aire i8000 Goodyear 120-Volt Direct Drive Tire Inflator

Bon-Aire i8000 Goodyear 120-Volt Direct Drive Tire InflatorWhy I like this tire inflator:

1. It plugs into any 120 volt outlet. I have 12 volt inflators and they have their place, but cannot compare to this unit.

2. It's fast. I just inflated a wheelbarrow tire from 5 psi to 30 psi in about 45 seconds.

3. The pressure gauge is accurate. One of my 12 volt inflators is off by 10 psi (under).

4. The screw-on valve is not as bad as you would think. It will only bleed one or two psi off a normal tire while its removed.

5. The screw-on valve is far superior to the clamp-on type. I feel that more air is lost when unclamping. Also, the wheelbarrow valve stem was too short for a clamp-on.

6. It comes with numerous inflation adapters.

What I don't like:

1. I would prefer a ball-type valve rather than the screw-on.

2. It seems to struggle as it approaches 30 psi. I worry that it won't be able to handle the 70 psi required for my bicycle tires. Nowhere in the operator's manual or on the box does it give the maximum pressure rating. The pressure gauge goes up to 150 psi, but that's meaningless.

Overall I'm very pleased. It should do just fine with normal tire pressures up to 38 psi.

My old model Bon-Aire BA121L 120v gave up on me after only 2 seasons of light use so it was time to invest in another air inflator. I wanted one that was 120v as I was not comfortable with the pumps that run off your car charger. I've only used this a couple of times, but I can see that this is a much more solid inflator than my previous one.

When you turn it on it sounds solid, there are no moving parts so this should last longer than your conventional inflators, it's much quieter than my old pump and it pumps quicker too.

The only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not five was because it uses a screw on valve to pump tires on my cars. I personally like the snap on type of valve because it's easier and quicker, but I do find that with screw on valves it loses less air from the tires when you unscrew it.

Buy Bon-Aire i8000 Goodyear 120-Volt Direct Drive Tire Inflator Now

This is a perfect air pump. It inflates tires quickly and relatively quietly. The gage is very accurate. I checked it against a couple of others that I own so will rely on it from now on. It seems to be well made with no defects noted. I am looking forward to many years of use. I have been disappointed with others especially the ones that rely on a battery or 12V cigarette connection. They often blow fuses and knock out other things in the car. Never again. I would say buy with confidence. It only works with american type tire valves. It has an adapter for euopean valve stems but would not work on my bike.

Read Best Reviews of Bon-Aire i8000 Goodyear 120-Volt Direct Drive Tire Inflator Here

I had looked on line for the perfect inflator that could be plugged in to an outlet. I have one front tire on my lawn tractor that deflates between mowing. The first two times I used it I couldn't have been happier. The third time when I turned on the switch it didn't make a sound. I thought it might be the outlet but it wasn't so the unit I purchased worked only twice before breaking down.

Want Bon-Aire i8000 Goodyear 120-Volt Direct Drive Tire Inflator Discount?

I was hauling out my 45 pound air compressor to fill up the tires, and this makes it 1,000 times easier. It's a small unit, the size of a football, and it weighs probably only about 8 to 10 pounds. The blue cord stretches out surprisingly long, and the main adapter screws down tight over tire valves. You screw it on, flip the switch, and wait for the reading you want. Easy.

It does inflate a car tire rather slowly. To take a car tire from 26 psi to 35 psi took me about 45 seconds to a minute. That's not terrible, but it's noticeably slower than the pump at the gas station. Still, you can do the whole car, even with moving the unit, in under 6 or 7 minutes, and that's not bad at all. The gauge seems to be dead-on, and the unit feels heavy and well built. With gas at $4.10 a gallon it's very nice to make sure the tires are rock hard and giving you every last mile you can squeeze out.

I thought about getting one of those cigarette lighter jobs, but then I kept reading about blown fuses and so forth. I got this for the garage and stuck an old bike pump in the trunk. The bike pump is for roadside emergencies, and no blown fuses and some good exercise with that.

OEM Sprint Micro USB Rapid Car Vehicle Auto Plug in Battery Charger + Home Wall Travel Charger for

OEM Sprint Micro USB Rapid Car Vehicle Auto Plug in Battery Charger + Home Wall Travel Charger for Sprint HTC 7 Pro - HTC Arrive - HTC EVO 3D Cell Phone - All-in-One Combo PackNot bad. The actual plug portion seems to work fine. However, the supplied cord is so short as to be unusable, and really laughable. Its much, much shorter than the pictured cord. If they gave a longer cord this would be at least a 4 star review

This charger works amazing, fast charge in both car and home, but the cable went to crap only a week after buying and I had to buy a new cable. The charger does wobble loose in the car's cig lighter slot, but not often and usually on dirt roads. I would defiantly recommend this for this price. Harley Touring Iphone Ipod Interface Direct Connect 06-12 Harman Kardon Audio

Harley Touring Iphone Ipod Interface Direct Connect 06-12 Harman Kardon Audio
  • Works on the stock Harman Cardon Radio

Easy to install as long as you read the directions. I installed this on my 2013 Electra limited. I ran the iPod plug into the right foot glove box. The cable is the perfect length for placement in that location but is way too short for anywhere rear of the tank. Nice accessory to add at half the cost of the HD brand.

This is one of the favorite things I've bought for my bike.

It was very easy to install and works great. It allows you to plug in an IPod or IPhone and listen through the factory system. It displays on the stereo headunit and allows you to skip songs and playlists with the factory hand controls.

It costs significantly less than the Harley one and it did not require me buying the additional wiring harness that was necessary on the OEM one for my Street Glide.

I definitely reccomend this.

After finally getting it installed......it worked almost to perfection. However, when we turn the bike off, the ipod stays on and when we return, the battery is drained dead....AND it returns to the first song on the first playlist instead of picking up where it left off last. Very frustrating to manually find where you left off! Have some calls into the company purchased from and the manufacturer.

Want Harley Touring Iphone Ipod Interface Direct Connect 06-12 Harman Kardon Audio Discount?

Just installed this on my 2010 Ultra Classic Limited. Mine's loaded with GPS with the NIM module and CB. Works exactly like

Harley's Boom Audio iPod kit, but for much less. The iPod cable is long enough to mount the iPod in the tour pack. A couple

of notes on the install.

1. The connector is huge and bulky. I read articles on the HD forums about tucking it under the radio to get clearance to

mount the fairing back on. Wasn't happening for me. My 35 pin connector was full, so everything was real stiff. The design

also requires you to twist this short harness, or your bikes harness 180 degrees to clip them together. This really stiffens

things up. I did get it under the radio, but not enough I guess. If your 35 pin connector is empty, or just a few wires, you might have

better luck.

2. I used the alternate wiring method I found on the HD forum. There are 5 wires coming from the unit. Note which spaces they are in on the plug.

Cut the wires off at the splice, then splice them into the corresponding wires on the bikes 35 pin wiring harness. I soldered and

shrunk wrapped the connections. The install looks factory, and no huge connector!

Would be much better/ easier if the company could put a male end on their connector so you could just connect the two harnesses

without that connector. Overall a great product that I would recommend.

SOLAR ESA1 12V Male to Male Outlet Charger Cord

SOLAR ESA1 12V Male to Male Outlet Charger CordThere's nothing fancy about this cord, it's literally just 4 feet of wire with male plugs on each end. The solder connection look good inside, but the housing almost comes apart at the nose when not in a socket. When I got it the cost was 1/2 as much as another, so if you want something cheap and simple this seems better (and it has no LEDs or such that give even a tiny drain if you want to leave it between 2 batteries or such). But it also came with no instructions, so although you may think "You just plug it in don't you?", there are some things you need to think about and beware of that I'll pass along.

First, any power cord with male plugs on both ends has the possibility of one end being plugged into a source (like your car) and the other touching something metal (like a body part of the car) creating a "short circuit" which can start an electrical fire (unless a fuse saves you). So although the 12V won't zap you if you touch the bare end, just remember if you pull the plug on one end, always instantly pull the plug on the other end (don't ever leave just one end connected).

I thought they may have a resistor or such inside this to limit current flow thru it as power goes from your car to a "jump start" battery (which is it's advertized purpose), but it doesn't. Although some may think "That's good so you get the full car power faster to recharge it, right?", the truth is this also can create an electrical fire or blow the car fuse from the high power draw and small wires in this. For charging a battery with nothing drawing power that isn't very likely, but if it's heavily drained or someone used this to "jumpstart" from car-to-car that can become a problem. I did try this to recharge a "jump start" battery in my car after I'd drained it at least 50% and after 10+ minutes of recharging I pulled the plug finding the positive terminal was pretty warm. Nothing came apart or such, but any wires or connections getting warm isn't a good sign.

The one other concern I'll pass along is from seeing several places say "You shouldn't charge a sealed AGM or gel battery to more than 14V" (which is what's in most "jump-start" packages), yet I know that cars alternators usually bring the battery to ~14.75V. So charging in a car with this has the potential to "over-charge" it some, but at the same time it's best for the battery to recharge it ASAP after using it (not leaving it drained). So I'd still use it, but probably only for 15-30 minutes depending on how drained it is and battery size. (I also find it interesting that while 1V overcharge is a big deal to some, the trickle-chargers provided by OEMs of most "Jump-start" batteries have the potential to go to 17V+ if left on too long. So which is more dangerous, a higher current charge limited to 1V "overcharge" for a short time in the car or a slow current over a much longer time that can go to 3-4V over?)

very heavy duty and solid workmanship. It does exacly what it needs to and was very reasonably priced. I am very happy with it
