I initially had the pro 78 detector which was excellent. So when that got stolen from my wrecked car it was a no brainer to get the Pro 78se. When I came to Amazon and saw the negative reviews because of false alarms I was skeptical but figured I would give it a try for the price. I used the pro 78se in DE, NJ, PA, NJ and the false alarms were unbearable. I wanted to get a refund from Amazon but since I bought it from another merchant thru Amazon they would not accept a return. I then contacted Whistler directly via email. I informed them that I tried the following modes: City, City1, City2, Filter1, Filter2, KA Max off and none stopped the false alarms. He told me to try and turn the POP Mode off, I did and it is 1000% better. I love this radar detector now. If you have this radar and have false alert issue then TURN OFF THE POP MODE.

I have been using this radar detector for about a month now, and it is great. I would like to start off by saying that I think many people have unrealistic ideas of what a radar detector will do for them. It isn't the Police Spotter 2000, no radar detector will pick up any and every police car in a 5 mile radius of you, it is unrealistic and wishful to believe that it will. I looked at the 9500i and the V1, and guess what, there are bad customer reviews on both of them, people saying that they are the worst radar detectors on the market. It is important to understand what a radar detector will do for you, once you do, you can more fully grasp the Whistler Pro 78SE.

I enjoy the voice alerts, it's useful to not always have to take your eyes off the road and still be able to tell what band the detector is picking up. Other people have really enjoyed the blue LED "periscopes" on top of the detector, that blink when it is alerting, but I have it mounted high on the windshield near the rear view mirror, so I do not really see the blinking LED lights.

EDIT: After driving with this detector for over a year, I have become very comfortable in its abilities to give good warning on K band in nearly all conditions ( I regularly drive on windy rural roads and picking up a K-band constant-on around a curve or two is normal) and when it isn't giving false Ka band alerts it gives GREAT Ka band detection in all modes. I leave it in Ka RSID (Radar Signature I.D.) I don't usually have it in Ka Max mode because of the falses. After a bit of research and plenty of hours driving with it, most of the Ka false alerts have been on the highway in heavy traffic, I now believe that it was alerting because of leaky low-end (e.g. Cobra) detectors in the vehicles around me. This theory makes sense and is consistent with others' findings and experiences throughout the many forums and boards I have visited.

Things I like/dislike after experience with another radar detector (Bel rx65):

-the blue display is generally better than the red display, although the red is readable in almost any lighting condition whereas the blue kind of washes out in strong sunlight.

--automatic brightness. I never even thought about it till I had to start manually cycling the brightness on the RX65.

--Good voice alerts, very clear even with loud music. It begins the alert by announcing verbally what band it's detecting, then proceeds with the beeps/chirps. my RX65 has creepy male-voice band alerts that are hard to distinguish.

--black casing, has very little reflection onto the windshield, and doesn't look gimmicky or cheap. the RX65 does feel a little more solid and hefty though.

--detection range not on par with the RX65 (no-brainer, look at the price difference, must be for a reason) for K-band on the Whistler i'm used to about 3-7 seconds of notice. For the RX65, it picked it up so far off I thought it was falsing.

--It has a little more chatty nature than the Bel. They both light up when I pass the local gas station that uses a k-band door opener but other than that the RX65 has better filtering.

--Both times I have been clocked with laser, it has actually alerted, with pretty good range (yes I know the cop already had my speed but it picked it up probably 500ft off.) only going 45mph that's pretty decent I think.

Overall I am still very happy with this detector, It's pretty easy to live with when you turn POP off, and put Ka in normal or RSID mode. Here are the settings I use: Filter 1 mode (it's actually the 2nd filter setting, somewhat confusing), Xoff, Kon, Ka-RSID, POP-off, Laser-LSID (laser signature I.D.), SWS-off, battery saver-off, voice alerts-on, periscope blinking-on.

If you're looking for a radar detector, and you've even considered a Cobra or similar detector, save your money and spring for this (or the Bel, which I prefer for its superior detection range and more quiet nature) depending on where you live, the first time this detects radar, and you're 5-10+ over the speed limit, I'd consider this investment already paid off.

I had an old Uniden detector and decided it was time to get a new one. Too many false alarms and not enough range on the old one. I did an extensive research, and I established a price point, no more than $200 for a radar detector. That put me to the range of a few Whistler models, as well as two Beltronics models. I just do not drive that much to justify $400+ in a top line Valentine One, nor in a Escort or Bel at that price range. I checked many internet sources before deciding.

During XMAS 2010 I drove around 20 hours back and forth, including states such as GA, SC, NC, VA, DC.

On the road, not many false alarms... figured filter 2 works nice to eliminate interference. A cop coming from a rest area triggered KA band with voice and frequency display, enough for me to slow down a bit. When crossed to VA, I turned it off and moved it to the trunk. I know it has a good SPECTRA IV filtering (detectable only close to the radar detector detector), but I just did not want to be on the wrong side of the law. The BLUE DISPLAY IS GREAT !!!! I decided to pass on the 695SE exactly because of the display. I just could not visualize the LCD display on the 695SE being effective during the day. I believe I made the right choice in choosing the 78SE over the 695SE.

Overall it seems to be a keeper. I got the intelligent power cord to control mute and power on/off from a more convenient position, as well as spare suction cups, a spare windshield support for the other car, and the whistler case. Overall, the final price was close to the Beltronics v995, but I am very happy with my purchase.

UPDATE JUNE 2011 -> The unit still performs like a champ, on the road or in the city. I am very happy with this purchase !!!

UPDATE DEC 2011 -> Recent trip to Florida... Got a direct laser from a police car, the unit captured it and I was able to at least remove the right foot from the gas and engage 3rd gear... just in case.

Detected the Ka band all around Orlando. I have never seen that many police cars since my days in Western NY state. Ah, forgot to mention, a small road was blocked and the WARNING message and loud alarm went off... Very nice !!!

UPDATE SEPT 2012 ->> Still rocking !!! No problems at all. Good on the cold and under the sun. Saved me TWICE this past labor day weekend.

I have been a fan of Whistler Radar Detectors for a long time. I have owned 5 going back several, several years. Police get better equipment, we get better equipment. Well, I can say starting with the Pro 68SE I had that things are going downhill for Whistler. The speaker in that blew after only a few months and they wouldn't fix it, so I picked this up because I didn't want to change my direct wiring. Okay, I get the Pro78SE, get it all tweaked and start using it. I live way out in the country so false alarms aren't that common. With this one, it would false in the middle of a farm field. I thought I might have a setting wrong so I turned off POP and X and tried it. Well, the next couple of falses blew the speaker. Didn't ever even pick up legit radar. Okay, must be a bad unit, let's get another one shipped in. Drove around with it for a few days, same falses, but this time more and more. I look like the idiot with the cheap detector because I am slamming on my brakes for no reason. Okay, on to what worked. The RSID does work, and it will detect radar, but if you are going just a bit over the limit you don't stand a chance with this thing. I really don't speed or if I do it's only 5 or so over, but this thing might only give a couple hundred feet. Not good. Even my old 1610 had better range, and just for fun I took it out and compared, the 1610 won hands down. Now I wouldn't rely on that model, but it proves a point. Anyhow, after just a couple of weeks this speaker started going out, so back it went. With the speaker problems, and the KA9 falses which are documented, I couldn't take it anymore and asked for a refund this time and not a replacement. I was a die-hard Whistler fan and they saved me a whole lot of money over the years, but this one can neither be trusted nor is it going to last you. YMMV, but that is my experience, and I have moved on to a different brand. If they ever come out with some newer ones with a different design especially the speaker, I may be back, but not for now, save your money and get something that will last and works.

A short notice driving trip from Tulsa to Washington DC came up and I knew that I was going to be driving many miles. I used to own a radar detector back when the national speed limit was 55. When the 55 mph limit was relaxed I was satisfied driving 5 mph over the limit and didn't need a radar detector. That was until I was caught in a Waskom, Texas speed trap. I was ticketed for going 5 mph over the speed limit at a cost of $180.00. Many municipalities are hurting for money and tickets are a source of revenue. "Warning tickets" are a thing of the past.

On to my review of the Whistler PRO-78 SE High-Performance Radar Detector with Blue Text Display. It combines effectiveness, ease of use and an affordable price. The trip to DC and back was great. The Whistler performed admirably. There were a few false positives but not many. I travelled mostly interstates and the traffic was all speeding so I was a fish among many. I travel in my job so I expect many care free miles with my new Whistler Pro-78 SE. Unless you are driving a Ferrari or a Porshe and have $2,000.00 to spend on a state of the art radar detector I recommend this one as a best bang-for-your-buck deal out there! The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is the short amount of time I have had to evaluate the product. Happy Motoring ;o)

Whistler XTR-140 Laser/Radar Detector with Exclusive Twin Alert Periscopes

Whistler XTR-140 Laser/Radar Detector with Exclusive Twin Alert Periscopes
  • Complete band coverage of all Laser, Radar, VG-2, and Safety Radar bands
  • Exclusive Twin Alert Periscope provides an added attention-getting visual alert
  • Easy-to-read icon display indicates power, city mode, band identification, and signal strength
  • Three unique city modes and highway mode to reduce false alarms
  • Patented VG-2 cloaking technology for undetectability

I was extremely skeptical about the performance of a $40 detector, but after a few recent road trips, I am convinced this is actually a well functioning product. Although it does not have exceptional filtering ability for false signals, it can still give you enough X/K/Ka warning for you to slow down in time.

The two blue LED's are a great innovation, because you can easily see them out of the corner of your eye. This is extremely useful when your radio drowns out the audible signals, or when the sun washes out the primary letter warning lights.

You simply can't go wrong with the price. It does not have the features of the top of the line detectors (coiled power cord, voice alert, text readout, settings save, compass, etc), yet it has at its core the most important feature: the basic detection ability to provide enough warning for the driver.

Buy Whistler XTR-140 Laser/Radar Detector with Exclusive Twin Alert Periscopes Now

i purchased the xtr 140 and it has been great so far, from what ive read the 330 has voice alerts and thats the only main difference. higher end radars have alot more features (compass, volt meter, aarows, pop detection etc) but none of that matters to me, i just wanted a radar detector that works. usually i find myself drifting 12 or so mph over the posted limit in the city and it gives me plenty of time to stop. besides a blip of ka when i pass a walgreens or cvs (if you are pointed at the doors its a full alert) the city 2 mode is pretty quiet. then again i can barely hear the radar when it goes off with the radio on so the lights come in handy to get my attention

i bought the 140 model because it was cheap but still accurate. i really dont care about a 3-4 mile range of detection because with instant off and instant on even a v1 cant save you if you are alone on the road. no one uses POP radar and im not going to pay another $50 for a feature im not going to use, and in the city there are so many cars on the road that i can pick up a trap in more than enough time to react.

************update 10/2/09***************

i have had this detector for about two years now and it has yet to disappoint me. however after owning it for about a year i felt the need to splurge and purchase a higher end unit, the whistler pro 78 rev c. i thought that my top tier purchase would blow my old xtr140 out of the water, but suprisingly the performance was nearly identical. however with the pro 78 you get to select what functions you want enabled or disabled.

in short i have to stick to my original review

pros:

i have gotten over a mile detection of a K band speed trap

i have also gotten slightly over a mile detection on k/a band

very clear display

VERY cheap

cons:

lacks internal memory. doesnt save settings

"chatty" on k and specifically x band. it will pick up your cvs walgreens everytime. its best to run city II mode if you do heavy city driving

i still recommend this product to anyone when they talk about speeding tickets. always gives me plenty of time for radar alerts

the whistler also has that signal strength meter, where as i believe the cobra does not. i have a cobra esd6060 and this whistler destroys it in detection distance

Nice quality. No nonsense.

Picks up some stray X from industrial parks or commercial buildings occasionally in Highway mode if buildings are adjacent to interstate, BUT these signals easily discerned giving only one bar on strength meter, and a couple warning only chirps.

However, first night out, I had my unit reach three bars, light up the entire display like a Christmas tree, blip the periscopes constantly, basically seemed like the thing was going to implode ("scary"), and then I saw the cop! He was about 3/4 mile away, opposite side of interstate facing me with a victim pulled over, lights flashing.

Caught him a second time while exiting an off ramp in a hotel parking lot perpendicular to me prior to that with another victim! "Big, bad, Dodge Hemi" cruiser, all painted up with intimidating graphics. "Big bad", muscle car, chase car with undoubtedly the latest radar.

All I know is that this little $38 Whistler "smells" his butt a mile away like a geiger counter detecting radiation! He hangs in the same geographic area around my workplace constantly busting people (a real worka"ho"lic), but now I can "smell" him a mile away for $38!

Me like!

Want Whistler XTR-140 Laser/Radar Detector with Exclusive Twin Alert Periscopes Discount?

I recently bought this detector for my wife since she racked up a few tickets lately, and it has blown me away! I have an older Whistler 1545 detector that is pushing 10 years old now, and this one destroys it (even though the old one cost twice as much). The blue lights are a real attention-getter and the volume dial is a treat (something my old one doesn't have one). This baby picks up waaay farther than my old unit. It picked up a county Sheriff last night over half a mile away, over a HILL! It also caught the splash back from one of the automated radar warning signs they park on the highway (the "Your Speed Is__" things). We were coming up to it, it was 100 yards ahead of us facing oncoming traffic (away from us), and the detector caught the reflected radar waves bouncing off the oncoming trucks. Unbelievable. You would expect his level of performance in the $100-$200 detectors, but not from one that was under 40 bucks. This baby is a real gem.

Needless to say, I am buying another one to replace my old Whislter! Highly recommended.

Pros: Inexpensive, easy set-up, user friendly, exceptional performance.

Cons: None yet.

It's almost exactly the same as my old Whistler 1732 radar detector. The only pluses are the blue lights stand out at night, but you can't even see them in the daytime. Also, the 3rd city mode lets you get rid of the X band which almost no police use anymore anyway so it cuts down the false alerts by at least 80%.Worth it, although everything resets everytime so that sucks almost enough to want to buy the next model up.But for now it will work. Also it's way bigger than my old one.Not bad though for 40 bucks.

cheap, and not worth as much as they charge but at the time it was all I could find. I made it work, but I'm looking for an up grade.

I bought Wolos best air compressor, close to two hundred dollars. And a top of the line air horn, another hundred, when I got the setup I learned I had to buy a value for fifty dollars and this horn button for eight. Yes the Horn looks great but I hate how Wolo nickles and dimes you after spending so much for a horn. But even worse they don't let you know you even need the extras until after you get the product. Based on how they do business I don't recommend them and I won't buy their products again.

Husky Liners Custom Fit Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set for Select Toyota Prius Models (Grey)

Husky Liners Custom Fit Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set for Select Toyota Prius ModelsThey fit absolutely perfectly in my 2010 Prius II. It literally couldn't fit any more perfectly. I like the color, and the rear covers a all of the area and has a nice lip on it so it catches snow and mud really well. They are a bit expensive, but I'm very pleased with how they look and fit.

Unbelievably nice! I LOVE these mats. They don't have the leaky holes that the Weathertech mats have, they look nicer, they're a darker grey, and the lip goes up higher. I am thrilled with these mats. I was also worried that they'd feel like a 'hard' plastic under my feet, or that my heel would slide easily on them; neither is an issue at all. My wife and I are both thrilled with these mats.

For about a dozen pics (in a Silver/grey 2011 Prius), see here:

Buy Husky Liners Custom Fit Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set for Select Toyota Prius Models (Grey) Now

I purchased these directly from Husky and was very disappointed. I bought two front liners for my FJ Cruiser.

First problem was quality. For $90 you expect something substantive, these things are made of plastic about as thick as (2) gallon milk jugs sandwiched together. This is a problem where the lip of the liners (designed to keep liquids pooling in them) is close to the doors of the car, where you get in and out. After only trying them a few days, you can see where the cheap quality would lead to bending and damage in this area.

Second and biggest problem is that in the FJ Cruiser they attach to the floor with hooks built into the floor. FJ has a plastic floor, so if you don't latch them, they slide. The holes in the liners were too small and when I forced them over the hooks, the plastic got bent around the edges of the holes, damaging them and meaning the hooks didn't secure them properly. It wasn't hard to see where after some use, they would not have stayed hooked whatsoever. This is a serious design flaw. A little effort on Husky's part could have fixed this, they only had to cut the right size hole and add a grommet around the edges of it. Lazy.

The liners fit perfectly, but that seems a moot point, given their serious flaws and cost.

Husky made me pay to ship them back. Very bad business, considering they didn't work out because of cheap design efforts on their part. The customer service rep told me I had to pay to send them back, that why should they, since they gave me free shipping. Normally I might accept that, but once you see these things, you'll realize they cost all of $1 or $2 to manufacture, making free shipping inclusive in a $90 price tag something of a joke.

I bought Weathertech rubber mats to replace these. The Toyota FJ all-weather mats also seem better. Both are cheaper, about half the price.

Husky doesn't deserve business with products like this one. I usually don't write reviews, but between the quality of the product and my service experience, I think others should know before they buy.

I am extremely pleased with this item. They fit perfectly in my 2010 Prius and are very well made. They grip well to carpet and do not slide at all. The price is great, especially considering the similar "Weathertech" item is nearly $170.00. These get the job done for a much more reasonable price. I would highly recommend these as the better value.

Arkon Slim-Grip Desktop Flat Surface Dashboard Travel Mount Holder for Samsung Galaxy S3 S III & Ot

Arkon Slim-Grip Desktop Flat Surface Dashboard Travel Mount Holder for Samsung Galaxy S3 S III & Other Smartphones - BlackI'm verrry happy with this product. I have a 2004 Mazda 3 and the dash is slightly curved enough that the window suction cups do not work on it. However, this one is different, and it sticks perfectly.

Pros:

-Suction cup sticks very well to surfaces that are slighlty curved or textured

-Solid construction

-Fully adjustable/maneuverable the arm is longer than many other mounts which is great

-Fits iPhone 5 perfectly (as well as iPhone 4 and I'm sure many other phones) and holds it well

-Can mount and remove your phone with one hand

-Looks nice

Cons:

-Slight vibration when you hit bumps, although this device is still better than any other mount I have used. I think the only way to reduce this would be to have a shorter 'arm' however that is one of the features I like

-The flat surface that says Arkon on it is made from a shiny plastic would be nicer if it was a matte finish like the rest of the product. This is only visible when you do not have your phone mounted however.

Husky Liners Custom Fit WeatherBeater Floor Liner for Select Dodge/Chrysler Models (Tan)

Husky Liners Custom Fit WeatherBeater Floor Liner for Select Dodge/Chrysler ModelsI purchased both these and the fronts four our 2011 Town and Country and am disappointed in the design of these.

The way they are designed, the second row seats need to be pushed as far back as possible and will not allow you to move them forward at all. This causes the third row seating to loose too much legroom. A redesign to allow for SOME forward movement would be very helpful.

Material quality seems very good and they should definitely last for the life of the vehicle.

The fronts fit great.

I wouldn't mind if the floor mat was a bit tight and needed trimmed but this thing is nearly 10 inches too wide from front seat to back seat. I purchased it as a gift for my wife. I didn't give it to her until the return time expired. The box clearly stated it would fit a 2008 Town&Country. It doesn't! The website said it would fit fine. Unless my van is some weird off market version there is no way this should thing would fit any van of the same style. Buyers be warned.

The mats arrived as scheduled in a flat box inside a huge chunky box so lots of recycling material.

They are nice and thick, supple and flexible and deep grooves to hold a lot of muck, sand and water.

Cleaning with detergent and water and hose off. Feel is better after washing off the mold release chemical which gives a slight tacky feel when new.

Color is good and they look well made. Will definitely protect my Suburban carpets during the winter!

I purchased a Cobra CPI 2575 2500 Watt Power Inverter along with lengths of 1/0 gauge wire to power it. I selected the Stinger 0 Gauge to 4 Gauge Power Wire Reducer because Cobra stated that the power terminals are 4-gauge, I thought this was a great match and would provide a clean installation with minimal resistance. The problem is, the holes on the Cobra inverter do fit 4 gauge wire, but NOT the semi-rounded 4 gauge port of the Stinger reducer.

I decided to grind down the posts of the 4 gauge connectors using a Dremmel and grinding tip. Took just enough off the sides, as well as 1/32 inch around the center so it fits perfectly snug with no gaps. Carefully, and checking size along the way, it took about an hour to do both. She did an awesome job!

This project was two-fold. Installation of the secondary 2500-watt power inverter inside the vehicle, as well as all new wiring through the firewall to the battery. The 1/0 gauge wire runs through the firewall and is now shielded by 1,000 volt resistant, fire retardant, water and oil proof flexible bonding putty rated to withstand temperatures exceeding 600 degrees Fahrenheit on both sides.

Using DVM top posts and double taps on the battery. 1/0 out to the inverter with a 250 amp 1/0 gauge ANL fuse between, 4-gauge to a 3 circuit fuse block running 8-gauge to my accessories, all wire loomed through the firewall. My installation run, including terminal block and fuse block cut-ins is roughly 7.5 feet. Using eight feet as a guide with respect to voltage drop, the requirement jumps to 2 gauge wire. To minimize voltage drop and minimize resistance, as well as purchase wire and components that are readily available, I selected 1/0 gauge with the proper fittings thereto.

Plus, you can never go wrong using bigger wire. It doesn't "force" any more voltage or amperage, it merely allows greater current flow than a smaller wire with minimal restrictions, such as voltage drop and/or resistance; factors that can excessively deteriorate the effectiveness of the unit. And in some cases, render a unit such as this useless (or worse, dangerous).

The inverter was not without a few glitches, however. I did have a few auto shutdown issues due to the heat inside the van. I did not install this unit with the intention of having it power my home, so it wasn't installed in the coolest possible place. Instead, it was installed conveniently under the passenger seat which garners and retains some amount of heat from the engine and the carpeted area.

That said, my only overheat shutdown issues occurred while trying to power our fridge -via 100-foot 16 gauge extension cord -a big no-no (and I knew it) but I had to take the chance just to see how (or even if) it would perform. It ran the fridge, but also overheated after a couple of hours. Too much resistance, obviously and too much of a load (though oddly I never had an overload shutdown). The other shutdown was due to low battery voltage input. Completely unrelated to the inverter and/or my draw. That's a case of a weak battery and alternator. Something to deal with after this power comes back to our home.

But the performance of this Cobra was impressive, to say the least. Probably among the best and most justified purchases and installations for the vehicle. And though we had originally intended to use our gasoline generator for just this purpose, turns out it wouldn't stay running and we had no other option. The bright side of this was, while whoever else was using a generator (and there were a few), they were forced to suffer through that noise day and night. We, on the other hand, heard nothing but quiet, as I ran only the Venture engine and nothing else.

The dilemma for me was, how long do I run the engine without moving the vehicle, and would I run it overnight? I decided we'd run the van late afternoon until we went to sleep, then shut the van down overnight. In the morning, take it for gas to circulate the lines and break in that new ten thousand dollar engine. (Roll Eyes?)

Anyway, I couldn't be happier with the performance of this inverter and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants one for their vehicle. Just be sure you install it properly, and it will knock your socks off! Note however, this inverter does NOT PROVIDE A PURE/TRUE SINE WAVE OUTPUT! Before purchasing this unit, check the electronic device(s) you plan on powering to verify whether or not you require this type of output.

I purchased one of these a while back to use with a solar power generator I was building. The power Inverter is overall nice looking and appears to be well built. The only problem is that the unit itself draws more power then it should. It also won't power certain appliances that it should be rated to power. Also the battery monitor on this unit isn't accurate. It will lie to you.

I've used other power Inverter's that were rated for less amps and those Inverter's were able to power appliances and electronics that this one couldn't. I have since re-sold this Inverter and tried to recover some of my money.

3 Piece Value Combo Accessory Bundle Kit: USB Car Charger + USB Travel Charger + USB Data Sync Cabl

3 Piece Value Combo Accessory Bundle Kit: USB Car Charger + USB Travel Charger + USB Data Sync Cable for Microsoft Zune 4GB, 8GB, 80GB and 120GB modelsThe data sync cable does not workthe pins are simply not there to sync data at all; if you are looking for a replacement for your Zune cable do not use this. the pins are there for power, so if you're just looking for a wall charger, this'd probably work. I guess you get what you pay fornow I have to go and get an actual data sync cable. woot.

Also, apparently this company sucks as far as returning products if you look at their ratingsI'm in the process of trying to get a refund, I'll edit if/when I get a response.

Edit: see my comments on this post, but I just got a refund processed, decent response time-

This is a great product for a charge, but unfortunately the actual plug in wire backed out on me only a couple weeks in. I would recommend getting a quality fire wire for your Zune device.

I was originally stoked about this purchase, but I find that that has come to an end. The charger for the house first stopped locking once you pulled the cord and then it stopped charging my Zune entirely. Have not even had it long enough for it to mess up, but unfortunately it has.

The car charger is too big for my 120GB Zune. Ripoff. If you want your cable to fit, buy from Zune, as bad as I hate to say it. I was toodling along in my car, went to charge, and the cable doesn't fit.

2007-2008 Infiniti G35 Smart Key Keyless Entry Remote (DEALER PROGRAM ONLY) w/ WWR Program Guide

2007-2008 Infiniti G35 Smart Key Keyless Entry Remote w/ WWR Program GuideAfter buying a 2008 G35 I was dissapointed that the car only came with one key, and the Infiniti dealer I bought it from would not help me out at all (even a programming discount) to get me a second key! I purchased this and took it to another dealer and had it programmed and cut. All together for the key and programming $170 vs $300+ from Infiniti

So I bought this about a year ago and attempted many times to program the key. I could never get it to work so I finally took it to a dealer to get programmed. Turns out the fob wont take a program from the dealer either.

Not sure if it was just bad from the get go or not but I wont ever buy a used FOB again.

So now Im going to the dealer and blowing over 150 bucks on a new one.

I will say it shipped quickly and the instructions for very clear. So i will give this 3 stars that that part.

The remote is great and looks good! My only issue was that they sent it to me with a weak battery. I had to go get a new battery put in it (free of charge) but just the fact of sending me a new remote with a dead battery. Not very good for business!

I only have one issue to talk about.

The front of this looks exactly like the original the dealer gave me with my car when I bought it,

When I turn the smart key (back side) I saw a little gap between where the hardkey slide in and the back plastic is, jusy meybe 0.040" not a big deal. the key work like the original and the dealer accept it to made a duplicate smartkey

Good job

I was able to take this key fob to a locksmith and they programmed and cut the key for $45, so I saved a bunch of money over going to the dealer for this item. I bought this for my 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe. All functionality works great. The car recognizes the key for starting, for using the door lock buttons on the outsides of the door and the trunk button.

I can see a couple of differences from my existing key (assume its from Infiniti, but i bought the car used, so can't confirm).

The head of the key blade seems a slightly cheaper finish. My old key was a smoother silver finish, the key from Amazon is silver, but looking at it closely the finish is rougher. In my opinion it looks slightly cheaper.

The key blade is tough to remove from the key fob. I need to put something into the loop to pull the key out where as the old key comes out very easily. If you have the key on a key ring, this may not be an issue. I don't use a key ring. I can probably find some time to identify the rubbing points and fix this.

There is a screw that holds the key blade to the blade head. On the Amazon key, its a brass colored key that contrasts with the key head. Whereas the old key used a black screw that is better camouflaged on the key blade.

I dont regret this purchase as I saved a bunch of money and this is my backup key, but I did take off a star for some of the above cosmetic issues.
