I received this as a gift a couple years ago, and it's going strong. I use it as a 12v source for special chargers that I use to charge the various types of batteries used in Radio Control airplanes and cars. I've used it in the sweltering heat of my garage in Central California, and in the cold of my garage in a much colder climate. I even dropped it once, and it's working great!

If I were to say there is a downside, it's that there's only one output pair. I rigged up a multiple output attachment that works fine for my needs. Two pairs of heavy duty binding posts and a project box from an electronic store plus some heavy wire and a couple banana plugs.

I am using this to power an aircraft instrument panel that I am building. It will eventually be installed into an airplane with great difficulty, so I want to get it right on the bench. And I need 20A of 12-14V.

This product fit the bill just fine.

I ordered on Sunday for two day delivery and expected it on Wednesday. It arrived Tuesday.

There isn't much to say about a power supply it is powerful, the ripple specs put it closer to a battery than an alternator powered aircraft or auto. (That's a good thing).

The only gripe is that the built in ammeter is a little on the cheap side. Digital would be great, but I didn't pay for digital. The needle is about 1/2 amp lower than the actual draw, as verified by a precision Fluke multimeter. I can live with that.

I have some great bench power supplies that cost several hundred dollars and have better features, but only put out 1/3 the power. So, all in all, this was a good fit for my application.

The Pyramid PS21kx is an excellent power supply. My wife is a HAM radio operator and I purchased the power supply so we could use her new Yeasu mobile 2 meter as a base station, and in this capacity, the Pyramid works very well. It's an extremely solid, hefty piece of equipment, and obviously very well consturcted. Haven't done any actual testing of the supply because I don't have the test equipment necessary, except to check the output voltage, which is spot on. I can tell you how it works in operation, though, and it has been flawless. Quiet, no noticiable humming noise as one often gets with less well made supplies. It handles the radio very well, even when she cranks the output power up to 75 watts. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone who needs a fairly heavy duty, 12 volt power supply. HAM radio operaters who often need 12 volt power to operate mobile radios ought to serious look at this unit. Very wel made.

Just got a chance to test this guy on a ~1,000 mile trip. Worked well, under varying temperature conditions. Like any inverter of this wattage it has a fan, and this one is loud, so I wouldn't recommend placing it too close to the front of the car.

I'm going to pick up a low-watt silent inverter to handle what I was using this for (laptop, cell charger), and move this guy to the back of the car. Still very glad I have it.

I've found CyberPower to be a solid manufacturer, used their support on a different item that was annihilated by UPS and they are US based (you're speaking to people who know the product, aren't just subcontracted phone support) and very helpful.

**Update a few years on. The contacts rusted rather quickly (I keep it inside the car, it must have gotten wet in the winter due to being stored near the snow-scraper). Recently this has started to wreak havoc on my car's electrical system and I have finally given up and stopped using it. Very disappointed. The unit works fine, but the fan noise... Loud is an understatement. The fan runs continuously, regardless if the unit is actually hot. How hard is it to make a fan for $0.25 more that is just a little quieter?

it serves the purpose, but the cord isnt long enough to reach from where i want my gps to hang from my windshield, so it not in my veiw while driving. i wished i knew how long it was before i purchased it. now i'll have to purchase a charger again and dang spend more money for longer charging cord. not to happy on length.

Well it's good other than the battery doesn't keep a charge. But as good picture if it had a longer charge it would be better.

This car video camera is a good "entry level device", if you are just getting into video recording in your car.

The Downside Potential: My expectations were apparently much higher than the functionality provided ih this device.

As I used it, I found myself creating a "Wish List" of Functionality, like "It would be nice if I did not have to push buttons while driving", etc. ie. (Voice Recognition commands would be nice, and probably much more expensive.) Another "Wish" which emerged, was... "How to capture in HD, tailgaters crawling up my trunk!". Some other car videos offer two lens, one facing front, and one facing rear. I am not sure how effective a rear-facing lens would work from the rear-view mirror over my dashboard. Many drivers in Russia and Japan are using these dash cam's to provide evidence in litigation involving accidents. So, this camera is better than nothing!

This is the second K5000 I've purchased from this seller. I own many inexpensive DVR's, 808's and Lighter cams made in China. First understand this is NOT 0/1 gauge. It is closer to 2 gauge. I'm using it to transfer power to the battery's in my trunk and it works perfect. If you try to use this as your main power I wouldn't recommend more than 1200 watts, it's just too much distance to risk running any more than that.

As it states, it is not copper wire. The only real problem with this wire is that you need to be very careful when cutting or striping it as the actual wire inside is very easy to break/cut through and the individual strands are very fine and you can actually break them off very easily.

This "soft" wire is both good and bad. It makes it very easy to run the wire as it's very flexible, but once again you have to be a little more careful with it, unlike a thicker copper wire.

Used it to do the "Big 3" on one of my cars and seems to be working fine.

I bought this item because, at the time, it was advertised as shutting down when the charge was full. I see that this error has now been corrected on Amazon's web page. I wanted to use it to keep the battery on my tractor from discharging and freezing while the tractor was in the barn over the winter. However when I received it, the manual stated that it must be disconnected after full charge is done. If you can live with that, it should be fine. I never actually tried using it, as it didn't meet my requirements. Congrat's to Amazon for correcting the description.

This is a pretty simple trickle charger. It doesn't provide much feedback, other than when it is on and when it is off. I don't think there should be any worry of overcharging, as it was designed to provide a constant "trickle" of power to keep a battery at top charge. I have owned and used this unit for the past year without any problems. If you want more feedback, buy a unit with gauges. If you are just looking to keep your bike (or lawnmower) starting on demand and want to save a few bucks, this unit is very good.

I had a minor snafu (my fault) with it being shipped to the wrong address, but Amazon was amazing about helping me get it resolved and had it out to me just one day after the expected delivery date. So as far rapport goes, top notch.

As for the device itself...it's really, really basic, but it gets the job done. The clamps are smaller than those on your standard jumper cables, which is a boon in my case, because I couldn't fit normal sized cables into the tight area where my terminals are located. It charged faster than I expected and it kept my poor dying battery alive about a month until I could afford a replacement, so it was definitely worth the money in my book. Plus, it's small enough to carry under my seat if I plan to travel long distances and want it there just in case.

Unfortunately, I had to use a heavy duty extension cable with it because I have no exterior outlets, but if you can park even relatively close the cable is plenty long and sturdy to stretch across a car width or so.

I have not had an opportunity to fully test the lifting/pulling power of this winch, but I can report that the batteries do not retain a charge in storage, either in or out of the device. Upon receipt of the winch (with dead batteries) I charged both batteries for several hours, put one in the machine and tried it out briefly against arm strength. All the indicator lights came on to show a full charge. It is much more noisy than I expected, and the motor must run to pay out the cable, as well as to retrieve it. After charging, I put it in the trunk. Two weeks later, when moving it, I tried to test it again. Unfortunately, neither battery had enough energy remaining to power the winch for even a minute.

The product works as advertised. Battery life was ok. Having two batteries was nice. Seems to be fairly sturdy. Weight wise it not too heavy, considering you are carrying steel cable, motor and battery.

It can pull 1000 lbs ... but in my case that was not quite enough. Not surprising, the pull speed is slow, under load it gets much slower. You have to run the motor to payout cable, which really slows down the work rate. There also only a small amount of cable, so you pulls must be short.

I'll probably use it occasionally.... but I could live without it.

I ordered these to put into a second vehicle, and to charge my new GPS from wall outlets. Neither the car charger nor the wall charger would charge the GPS. The GPS reacted to being plugged in as if it were plugged into a USB cable to a computer, or cycled through an attempt to open maps.

The AC charger in this combination destroyed the battery in my new Garman. I thought the problem was the Garman itself. I was wrong. When I received the replacement Garman from Amazon I called the Garman help line. Under the guidance of the Garman representative I hooked up the AC charger to my replacement Garman. The displays I should have gotten in that charging situation did not occur. What I did experience during that charging raised concern with the representative. He told me to disconnect the AC charger immediately. He then instructed me to charge the unit using a usb connection to my computer. When I did that the charging procedure worked perfectly.

I returned the AC Charger to Amazon and was told I would get a full refund.

I ordered a new AC Charger directly from Garman. When I received that AC charger I immediately hooked it up to my Garman and it worked perfectly.

I'll most likely deal with Garman directly if I want to obtain any other additions to my new Garman.

The description says that programming instructions would be included. They were not. The piece of paper that came with the remote said that instructions could be found at the website (). The website is a disaster and the instructions are nowhere to be found. If you click "Resources" it has notes to or from the web designer left on the page that say:

1. Programming Instructions This is not a primary category to focus on, correct? You want users to buy the product and get the instructions as a value-add, correct? If our understanding of this is on track, then leave this out of the main navigation. Maybe you could add this to the resources section.

I called the number given at the website and got an answering service that then directed me to voice mail. I guess I have to use instructions found online and hope that they work. There are various conflicting procedures to choose from. As of now, I don't even know if this thing will work.

UPDATE: It worked. I used these instructions:

Bring all remotes into the car with you. You will be programming all remotes with a new code. With the doors locked and seatbelt fastened, turn the ignition from OFF to ON (when dash lights come on) 4 times within 6 seconds. Turn the ignition OFF. The system will chime to confirm programming mode. Within 20 seconds, press any button on first keyless remote. The system will chime once to confirm programming. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. System will chime once to confirm programming. Turn ignition to RUN or wait at least 10 seconds to exit programming mode.

I picked this up for my 2001 Taurus and it worked great. Programming it yourself is super easy and it worked like a charm.

I bought a 2001 Ford Focus ZTS last week and it only came with 1 key and no remote. Since then I have had another key made, but I decided I wanted a remote first. Most places were charging around $50 for a remote, so I decided to check amazon out.

I got this remote for $20 shipped, the seller got it to me in 4 days. This remote can not get better. I took it out of the package and went out to my car, I turned to car from OFF to RUN 4 times in under 6 seconds and then when I turned it to OFF, the car beeped. At this point you press any button on the remote and the car will beep again. Then you turn it to RUN again and then shut it off, the remote is now programmed.

It took me a max of 30 seconds to program the remote, and it works great. It locks, unlocks, pops the trunk, and sets off the alarm. What more can you ask for?

No complaints nothing special It's just a little plastic clock with a piece of velcro on the back. I bought it to mount on the front fork of my motorcycle so I could check the time while riding to and from work. It's working great so far. Made in China, but the instructions for setting the time were clear. The clock shipped with a piece of plastic blocking the battery contact inside, so the battery should be relatively fresh.

Note: I bought something similar to stick on the dash of my car a few years back when the clock on my radio quit working. That was a problem in TN on hot sunny days the inside of the car would get too warm and the velcro would fall off the dashboard (adhesive got too warm and slid off).

At half the size of comparable step-down/step-up transormers, this is an excellent piece of kit that auto-senses what voltage it is connected to and provides the alternate output. Following the guidance of having approximately twice the power capacity of your intended equipment, this 500Watt unit does not hum or buzz, has no excessive heat and is currently running my 240V UK Hi-Fi (Amp, CD and turntable) at 300Watts from a US 110V supply without any drama. I have also used it to run my wife's 240V sowing machine without any problems. It's small size helps to hide it away behind furniture, but if you can't hide it, its not obtrusive. Its power cable came with a moulded euro 2-pin plug fitted, which I replaced with a standard US plug.

I bought this item for some friends visiting from Europe who had brought a number of devices with them from Europe. Most of the converters/adapters are one way hence if you try to find an adapter in the US most will be for 110 to 220. also most have very low power amp ratings. Worse then useless for a Euopean who needs one after they get here. This device works in both directions! It automatically adjusts the out put voltage/current based on what you plug it into. If you use this in the US it will convert 110 to 220. If you are in Europe it will convert 220 to 110. How great is that? Whats more it can do more then just power your camera or IPOD. You can plug Laptops, hair dyers, electric shavers you name it into it. Most units that do this are very large comercial units that are hard to find and cost an arm a and a leg etc. This unit is true universal adapter. It is small works both ways and has a high power rating. Its not expensive! Dont try to use your arc welder with it but for most everyday hand appliances and electronics this device just Rocks.

I bought this to use on an overseas preamp from Germany and it works great! The automatic voltage feature is cool it looks at the incoming voltage and based off of that converts to the other voltage 110v goes to 220v and vice versa.

This makes no noise, it doesn't run hot, and it doesn't introduce noise into a very high end audio system.

The only thing to be aware of is that the plug it comes with is for Europe you need to order a plug adaptor to use it here in the US. Buy one on Amazon and save a lot vs. having to run elsewhere and paying way too much!

Great product! Light: 1.9 kg and very small (compared to the competition), and you don't have to worry about nothing: if detects the voltage of the outlet your are plugin it to and automatically converts to the opposite voltage, like 220 --> 110 or 110 --> 220. But the best part is that you don't need to change fuses as this one comes with a thermal fuse, meaning: if you over connect appliances to the converter if will automatically go off and the you just need to hit the RESET button. That simple.

Customer service is great. My fist device was not working properly. 15 minutes after submitting my Return request, the seller called me (!), asking me details of the problem with the item. They promised me they will send a new one with priority mail without having to return the broken one! Amazing!

Two days later I got the second device and this one is great.

I purchased this transformer along with a compact 4 plug extension cable. My wife and I charged two laptop computers, two i-Phones, an i-Pad, and electric razor with it. Usually most if not all items at the same time over night without any trouble. It did not get hot, turn off, or come loose from wall plug. I highly recommend it to anyone needing a transformer for electronics. Keep in mind that I also purchased a multi-plug extension cord knowing I would be charging more than one item at a time since this as with most transformers only have one outlet.
