Nextbase CLICK9 9" Tablet Style DVD Player with Stanchion Mount, ALL-REGION, 100v - 240v, Play ANYW

Nextbase CLICK9 9' Tablet Style DVD Player with Stanchion Mount, ALL-REGION, 100v - 240v, Play ANYWHERE, Car Kits Included
  • Includes Stanchion Mount, proven to be the safest for in-car entertainment
  • Also includes Headrest Mount: one-click action to mount player on headrest
  • 9" 16:9 digital TFT with high resolution 800 x 480
  • Portable DVD player with top-load multi-region DVD player
  • Works with CLICK battery (sold separately)

I won't spend time praising the child-pacifying benefits of a car DVD system. That said, this piece does the job, accepting multiple formats and with good ease to set up. However, to pick on the absolute best (and what took me to choose this over other multiple options out there), I will say the stanchion mount lets me sleep in peace knowing if anything ever happened (aka car accident), the DVD will not end up as a projectile hitting someone in the car. Just look at these guys' crash test videos and that will give you some reassurance. The construction at first looke a little cheap on the outside, as it is to a great extent made of plastic (not metal), on the outside. However, to that same point, it looks quite durable and sturdy and "child proof" and although I am not willing to test this and would not recommend you do, I would expect it could take a few more hits than other competitor brands without any major damage. The connectivity for powersource is easy as the cigarette lighter cable goes straight to the mount, and you can just remove the player when you get out of the car (you don't have to spend time winding and unwinding cables every time). The screen has control buttons on the top (apart from a comprehensive remote conrtol), so controlling the unit from the front seat takes some time, but the LED screen does show an on-screen display mimmicking the buttons on top of the unit, so with just looking at the screen you can know where to find the buttons and what you are pressing. All in all, I think this is a great product and I would buy again. My only issue was that my Toyota Sienna had headrest stands which apparently were thiker than anticipated by the vendor, who supplied 16mm bolts (I think the size was M4 0.7 x 16) for securing the stanchion mount. The bolts were hence not long enough and the vendor gladly accepted to send longer ones, although what I got was a regular flat screw and not allen.. I do recognize the 20mm allen bolt wasn't available at the Depot, but I did find some on Amazon at a reasonable price. In any case, the bottom line is "first hand" the screws might end up a few millimiters too short and you might have to request from the vendor (or purchase) a pair of longer bolts. Again: I would not disrecommend the product just because of that (hence the 5 stars).

I own the 10' dual. The system works great. It is what I have been looking for. It is worth the money. I love the mounting brackets. You can take the dvds in and out with ease. You don't ever have to mesh with the cables or trying to remount them. Easy to use, my 5 yr old can work the remote control. I bought a seprate set of brackets and yo-yo cable so now we just unclick the dvds and easliy click them into the other car. They are ready to go. They can watch their own show or the same. you can even unclick one and bring it in the house, they have a built in battery and a DC plug. I love them and I would tell a friend.

**THIS IS A WARNING TO ANYONE IN AUSTRALIA OR THE WORLD CONSIDERING TO BUY NEXTBASE PRODUCTS DO NOT BUY OR WASTE YOUR MONEY**

I purchased the Nextbase Click9 Duo Deluxe Dual 9' Screen Portable DVD players in June 2011 from Nextbase USA. I bought this product hoping the ancap safety meant this product has been built like no other system and that i would be able to enjoy years of quality use. Nextbase even had on there website that they believe every customer is a customer for life. Boy did i get sucked in. They are very helpful and respond quickly to any sales enquiry but thats where it ends. I am really surprised Ford US has Nextbase a supplier.

[Product Fault]

DVD frequently stops and keeps going back to the screen saver screen (Nextbase) then starts up again and then a couple of seconds later it does the same thing and especially if the road is a little bumpy and will also do if on a smooth road as well.

[When Product Fault first occurred]

Approximately April/May 2012 (10/11 months old within 12 month warranty period).

Originally thought it may have been a dirty or scratched DVD.

We don't use the DVD players every time we drive so it had been a few weeks between each time we used it and to try and trouble shoot the issue ourselves.

I first emailed Nextbase 17th July 2012 (Just after the 12 month warranty). At the time of my first point of contact with Nextbase via email, my Brother in Law (29 years old) had just passed away and as a result my email was a short overview of the issue and later realized I didn't detail the trouble shooting period. After several emails from me, Nextbase eventually did send out new Stanchion Mounts hoping this would resolve the issue. After 5 months of originally notifying Nextbase of the issue and waiting weeks/months for them to respond, on 29th November 2012 (5 months after advising the issue), I was finally requested by Nexbase to send the items back for full replacement (At no time has Nextbase indicated that it was not covered under warranty nor that I would incur any cost for the replacement or shipping). The cost to ship from Australia to Nextbase in the USA was $126 AU and Nextbase received the items on 13th December 2012.

Due to the continued lack of communication/nil follow up by Nextbase, I emailed a request for my complaint to elevated to a manager/director of Nextbase. On 27th December 2012 the Sales Manager from Nextbase emailed to advise that he has reviewed my complaint and that they have repaired the DVD player and have decided they will not replace the items or reimburse the cost of shipping or accept this under warranty and that it will cost me $60 US for the items to be shipped back to Australia.

On 28th December 2012 I have since emailed Nexbase disputing their decision to not cover under warranty and it is now the 1st February 2013 and i still have no response or resolution. 6 MONTHS WITHOUT ANY USE OF THE DVD PLAYER OR RESOLUTION IS APPALLING.

There is no after sales service and from my experience Nextbase is the most unreliable and dishonest company i have ever dealt with. Its a real shame as i really thought i was paying for a quality product backed by quality service

I hope this review saves you the pain i have and am currently experiencing.

eForCity EN-EL12 Lithium-Ion Battery + Battery Charger + USB Data Cable with Car Adapter Compatible

eForCity EN-EL12 Lithium-Ion Battery + Battery Charger + USB Data Cable with Car Adapter Compatible with Nikon CoolPix S1000pj / S620 / S630 / S640 / S70 / S710 Digital CameraEven though these products are generic, they work fine. I lost the charger to my coolpix camera, and this came with a new battery, a car/wall charger, and a data cable. All for less than it would be to buy an OEM charger.

I was not expecting much because of the low price, but the battery charges fine, and it charges my OEM battery too. It does exactly what I bought it for. I would highly recommend this product.

I didn't expect much from this, especially due to the low price. However, for less than the price of the USB cable at my local camera shop, I got the cable, a spare battery and a battery charger (plus a car adapter that I will never use). Everything works as advertised and I'm happy I took the chance. A pleasant surprise. (|:{>

I love the convenience of the travel charger and how quickly the battery charges. The generic battery works just as well as the Nikon battery and the two cables that are included are a great bonus. This package is a great deal at a great price :)

I was looking to purchase a battery. Having a two chargers included in the price made this a fantastic value.

This is a great value and the quality was better than I expected. The battery capacity is higher than the standard Nikon EN-EL12 battery. The charger was able to charge all of my batteries (I have three OEM Nikon EN-EL12 batteries) quickly and without problems.

Equus 3300 Hands-free Digital Multimeter

Equus 3300 Hands-free Digital Multimeterexcellent bang for your buck. has lots of features, instructions that help you figure out how to use the functions, an elastic band on the curved back to you can strap it to your wrist, and the clips that hold the leads are very smart. definitely recommended.

This multimeter is very easy to use. I really only needed it for basic electrical needs around the house so it has all the settings I use. It has also been very helpful installing new stereos in my truck and car. The quality seems to be good as well. I'd recommend it to any homeowner who doesn't have a multimeter and wants good quality, simple operation, and basic functions.

It has no sound for detecting continuity, which means you have to be able to see the screen when you test.

Nicely designed for probe protection. Worth the price but not for the serious user.

I bought this to use with my Arduino projects and I can't believe that I had lived without it before. The readout display seems accurate and the unit itself, while light, does not feel shoddily made. I ended up using electric tape to fasten two Breadboard jumper wire 70pcs pack to the two electrodes for easy use.

I recommend this product to any Arduino enthusiast as it easily handles any of the Voltage/current requirements for any project I have come across. The only thing to watch out for is the current limits this can take, you can't measure anything above 200 mA for more than 15 seconds. (please correct me if I'm wrong, as I haven't gotten anywhere near this limit)

Cobra XRS-9930 12-Band Radar/Laser Detector

Cobra XRS-9930 12-Band Radar/Laser Detector
  • Sensitive to Ku wavelength band recently approved for use in the United States
  • Detects 6 Radar signals, 4 Laser signals and 2 Safety systems
  • Eliminates false alerts with Cobra's exclusive IntelliMute feature
  • Includes 8-point electronic compass
  • Includes battery voltage display and auto shutdown when ignition is turned off

purchased this detector for 12 hour drives through 4 states I make about 5 times a year. Amazon's price was great and I did not expect this unit to compete with others costing 3x or 4x more. When mounted high on the front windshield, it has "OK" range not great but OK. It receives all the most common law enforcement radars in use today, but when it sounds off the transmitter is not all that far away trust it and slow down for anything other than an "X Band" alert (I will probably turn that off in the menu ) I really like the auto volume control where it will turn down the alert volume after the first alarm you don't need to listen to the beeping alarm at full volume. The voice announce of the type of radar is good also, you don't even need to look at the unit display to know what type of radar is being used. I hate the short curley power cord....made my own out of straight wire (Cobra sells one, but I'm too cheap). Good unit for the price !

Buy Cobra XRS-9930 12-Band Radar/Laser Detector Now

I got this today and couldn't wait to try it out. So i drove around the Bay Area and had a good experience. I drove from Emeryville into the city, then hop onto 280 south down to redwood city, swing back onto San Mateo bridge and then up 880 north.

First, the X band went off a lot in emeryville, which was okay to me since X band is known to have false alarms. But it didn't go off much at all when i was on the freeway.

On 19th ave, there's a digital posting of your speed and so i know for sure there's a radar there. The speed sign is 1 block from golden gate park. I got a K1 alert as i exit the park and i never got anything else after i passed it.

The next exciting road was the San Mateo bridge. It has a sign saying "Radar enforced". So i was wondering where the radar is. I entered the bridge and soon after i get a K1 alert. It lasted for maybe 20 seconds, then i get about 5 seonds of K2, and then 1 second of K3. So it seems to me that if I see K1, Ka1, or Ku1, I better slow down because if i see K3, I would be passing the cop.

Two days later, i went on east bound bay bridge. And as i approach, i get a K1 for a very long time. Then as i enter the new section of the bay bridge still under construction, K2, and then K3 for about 20 seconds, then I saw from afar a speed post with speed limit at 35mph and a digital readout of car speeds. I got closer, it becomes K4, and then K5. I pass it, then it gradually went to K4, K3, K2, K1, then nothing. Few seconds later, I got another K1, then K2, K3, K4, then I see yet another digitial speed sign, and then K5. I also got a pop detection about 45 seconds later, I didn't see a cop tho.

I should point out that on the same night, I went on the Dumbarton bridge where there is a "Radar Enforced" sign, but the 9930 did not went off at all. Also I passed by 2 parked cop cars without the detector going off. This shows that the detector only help you in certain situation. You still need to WATCH for cops.

As for features, I really like the intelliMute, it's very accurate. I drive a stick shift so i'm very aware of my RPM. The display looks great, but it's a bit too bright at night. I didn't bother with the compass because i already have a build-in navigator. the setup was extremely easy and user friendly.

I was originally going to buy an escort x50 used for $200, but amazon is selling this for $122 new. It make sense for me to get this. I don't normally speed. But i plan to drive to LA every month for the next year, and so there is no way i can stay below 70mph all the time. Highway 5 is mostly desert and farm land, so if i see a K1 alert, i'm going to slow down.

I would recommend this model because it works and it's well designed. I had an older model of Cobra a few years ago and it was dead weight. This one is different. Not great, but good for the price

Now the bad stuff:

the powercord is sooo short, no one can use it without an extension. I found one in bestbuy for $8.

The suction cup doesn't suck. I'm trying to use the velcro, but it doesn't seem to stick either. I'm thinking of getting one of those rubber mat for ppl to put cell phones on their dashboard.

The sensitivity is not as great as an escort, but if you don't ignore the level 1 alerts, you should be okay.

I would actually rate this 2 1/2 stars (2 was just too harsh). I recently had my Passport 8500 stolen, and just couldn't bring myself to plunking down another $300. On physical appearance between the two, the Cobra wins hands down. Unfortunately, that's as far as it goes. Protection seems OK, but it goes off so much in the city, it's hard to take it seriously. Unless I'm mistaken, turning off the POP protection needs to be done every time it is plugged in (major inconvenience, as it regularly gives off false alerts in the city). Passport kept its settings when unplugged. Mute button is on the detector itself (inconvenient to reach) whereas the Passport's is on the plug, which is much easier to reach. This is very minor, but the suction cups for the mounting bracket are so stiff that it is hard to get them to take on the windshield...especially if it's cold at all. I spent a ridiculous amount of time and effort just to get them to stick to the windshield. Hot water is your friend when mounting the Cobra. Also, the cord is short. Don't expect to mount this anywhere but straight up from your plug and at the very bottom of the windshield. Even at that, the cord will be stretched out, and flush against your dash. Don't understand the thought behind the cord, but luckily it works in my case.

I have not yet been on a road trip with the Cobra, and I suspect I would have fewer issues with it. I do trust the protection, but don't care for all of the other nuances when driving in town. I find myself driving with it unplugged in the city more often than not. I didn't really expect to get Passport quality for this price, but I did have hope. Good protection for the dollar, but I should have bit the bullet and bought the Passport. Oh well.

Want Cobra XRS-9930 12-Band Radar/Laser Detector Discount?

The Cobra XRS 9930 is a good detector for the price. Now that it retails on here in the low $100s, it's not a bad deal. It's not the king of the road for detectors but for this price point, it's great and dare I say it, has great features. The screen seems little but is packed with info. The compass and volt meter are a great touch. The audio is very attention getting unless you have the stereo up loud... There is the option to plug in an external speaker from a 3rd party if you have to have it.

If you turn off the unnecessary detection features like SWS, Ku, POP, VG2, and Spectre, you'll have a decent detector that doesn't false much. Just don't wait for alerts to ramp up to level 5. Be on the lookout as soon as you start to get an alert that you know isn't where you normally get a false alarm. I've passed cops and never had mine go above level 1. But it DID alert.

True radar detector fanatics don't like Cobra because their circuitry causes false alerts on nearby radar detectors and their marketed to sound waay better than they are. But if all you care about is a decent detector for the price, this one will do. The only alternative in this price range with better performance is the Whistler XTR-690. It's a great detector that runs even with the XRS 9930 in some forms of detection and bests it in others. But if you have your heart set on this detector, it won't be a bad buy for the budget.

Make sure you manually turn on all the radar detecting features. The unit comes with only X and K bands features on.

Black & Decker BM3B 6V and 12V Battery Charger / Maintainer

Black & Decker BM3B 6V and 12V Battery Charger / MaintainerThis was the least expensive battery maintainer I was able to find. It comes with a variety of connection options, just like the more expensive maintainers do. It is switchable between 6V and 12V. Most battery maintainers either only support 12V or require a different model to maintain a 6V battery.

On the negative side, the 6V/12V selector feels cheap and each time you switch it, you wonder if it's going to break. It might actually be solid, but it sure doesn't feel that way.

Also, unlike other chargers like the Battery Tender Jr., this one will severely overheat very small batteries. I can't find any specifications for the minimum battery size, but I would assume that anything that can't safely be charged at 1.2A should not be connected to this device.

Lastly, it doesn't seem to support AGM batteries. Newer motorcycle and PWC batteries are of this type. So this is the most serious limitation. The current Battery Tender Junior model does.

If you need a charger that can support both 6V and 12V or know you will never need to maintain an AGM or very small battery, this is a very low cost charger that works perfectly for those applications. It's perfect for traditional sealed lead acid or wet cell batteries used in many PWCs, motorcycles, cars, golf carts, electric toy cars.

I bought this from Home Depot for about $20.00 and use it to maintain my motorcycle battery. Compact, LED indicators and all the connectors you would need. I plug mine directly into the cigarette lighter socket on my bike which is connected straight to the battery. Worth every penny!!

I bought this from Amazon to use on my BMW sports car to maintain the car battery during winter storage. The charger is compact, has LED indicators and all the connectors you would need. Mine is plugged directly into the battery post cables using one of the many supplied connectors which is connected straight to the battery. That leaves both the clips and cigarette lighter ones available for other uses. Worth every penny!!

I had no idea a maintainer could be this cheap, but I took the chance. Now that I have it (been using the cigarette lighter option), I can't imagine why you would pay more. It is so sensitive that with it fully charged, if you open the door it will sense the load and start working again to freshen up the battery. Great item!

Lisle 11120 Battery Brush

Lisle 11120 Battery BrushThe side for the battery post works great. The bristle side crushed downward after cleaning one set of connectors, similar to what a wire brush looks like when it's been used for a really long time. I twisted the bristles in both directions and saw no difference. I took a wire brush and brushed the bristles back to their original position. Besides that, it's a pretty good product.

Note: Don't turn the post cleaning side counterclockwise, it will not work and may break.

The only battery brush i could find that was made in America. It cost more but its worth it and has outlasted all the other

junk brushes I have found at the local hardware stores and auto parts places. It doesn't cost much more so I don't understand

why these brushes are so hard to find.

Buy Lisle 11120 Battery Brush Now

I love buying products made in the USA and this one is, so that gets points right away, but the plastic body is fairly cheaply molded. But in my experience these brushes don't really last forever anyway. The good news is that this is a little tool WELL worth owning, I noticed when I took my battery terminals off, my + was very corroded underneath so I was happy to have cleaned them both up for the winter, then I sprayed the terminals with marine corrosion block. If you are buying a brush buy this one over the cheap import and at least you are showing extra support for the USA
