Keyless Entry Remote Fob Clicker for 2005 Toyota Corolla Matrix With Do-It-Yourself Programming

Keyless Entry Remote Fob Clicker for 2005 Toyota Corolla Matrix With Do-It-Yourself ProgrammingI was sure that if I was lucky enough to receive the remote, that I wouldn't be able to program it. In preparation for this scenario, I called the dealer I got my car from; they wanted over 250 dollars for the remote and the programming. 250??!! I figured that I'm a fool for thinking I could get the remote for less than $25, and expect it to work. I read some of the online forums regarding issues arising in an attempt to program their own fobs; I was doomed for failure. I'm not a typically pessimistic person, but I just figured if it's too good to be true it probably is. BUT IT'S NOT!!!! I ordered my fob late one night, and decided I'd give it a few days before I check to see if it has shipped yet or not. 2 days later, I arrived home from work thinking "I wonder if it's even being processed yet...", checked my mail in the usual fashion and lo and behold, what do I see? A small yellow envelope with the first keyless remote I have ever owned in it. :) I bought a used fob, but you wouldn't know by looking at it. It was in wonderful condition; spotless even. So I pulled out the the paper the directed me to the programming "how to", told my boyfriend that I'd be out for about 30 minutes and not to panic if he hears a car alarm (which I wasn't even completely convinced by car was equipped with). I followed the instructions step by step, and CLICK, a lock in unison. "No way", I think, "must have been a fluke". So I shut the door again and pushed the lock...CLICK....and the unlock...CLICK. It worked!!!!! Like a charm as a matter of fact :) I was back into my house in less than 5 minutes. So.....just for fun....I figured I should probably test the PANIC feature. Success, all the way around. Fast, cheap, quality product. I'm very, very pleased with this transaction! Thank you!!!!

I bought this product for my 2005 Toyota Matrix. When I bought it, it did not have a keyless entry remote. I was hesitant to buy but decided to try this product out. I received the item in two days!! The item was packaged nicely in bubble mailer with appropriate instructions. The setup was a bit confusing (at first) but I had it working and good to go within five minutes. I recommend this product for anybody that needs a keyless entry to your vehicle. You will not regret it!! Great seller and great product!!

The remote came in a timely manner. We follow the instructions...it is clearly explained (for a complicated procedure) One of us read it out and another one follow it. We were able to successfully program the remote in 2 try. I am happy with the product and especially the clear instruction sheet.

Magellan Meridian External Power Cable with Cigarette Lighter Adapter

Magellan Meridian External Power Cable with Cigarette Lighter Adapter
  • Use with the Meridian family of GPS devices
  • Power your GPS through your car cigarette lighter
  • Navigate with your Meridian GPS without worrying about failing batteries
  • For use in your car, boat, or truck

This power adapter does the job. It's neat because it can handle a wide range of voltage inputs. It has a small in-line power box that adjusts the input to fit the needs of the Meridian. The problem I had is that I bought it before realizing the power and the computer connection both use the same strange I/O connector. So if you use this adapter, you can't connect to your laptop. The solution is to buy the more expensive dual cable version that has both battery cord and serial cable attached.

-P-

Buy Magellan Meridian External Power Cable with Cigarette Lighter Adapter Now

I bought this with a Magellan sportrak pro GPS unit. I already knew about the connector being shared with the data port, but since I don't have a laptop, I didn't want to waste the extra money to get the dual cable.

This item does exactly what it is supposed to. It works great on long drives when I don't have to worry about draining the batteries down to a point where I can't use the GPS unit at the destination. Attaching and detaching the connector using the D-rings is a little more involved than something that can just be plugged into the GPS, but obviously, making the GPS submersible involved compromises like this. I can live with that.

I'm also a Geocacher, and I have to say this is a great product! I've been wasting money on rechargable batteries, but now I don't even have to worry about batteries at all. Good for long trips, too; because you don't even have to have batteries at all. A must-have for anyone owning a Meridian GPSr!

Want Magellan Meridian External Power Cable with Cigarette Lighter Adapter Discount?

The den of horrors that is the Magellan car bracket requires you to have this power cord. If you don't then you will be fighting to change batteries and remount your GPS and that is no fun at all.

I have used mine for over six months and it works without a hitch. A nice improvement would be a retractable cord facility so that you don't have excess cordage lying around your dashboard. Right now I loop the excess around the steering wheel but then again I never change the adjustment on the steering wheel so no problem with the wire getting caught up in the adjusting mechanism. Others may run into this problem. The alternative is a shorter wire but then it would make the power unit useless for some vehicles. A minor hitch but not earthshaking.

A God send for me! Thank goodness I bought this before I almost got lost in the ocean in the fog. (Without AA batteries!!)

A totally necessary purchase for anyone who boats at night in unfamiliar territory. Easy to attach to unit and works great!

eForCity EN-EL12 Lithium-Ion Battery + Battery Charger + USB Data Cable with Car Adapter Compatible

eForCity EN-EL12 Lithium-Ion Battery + Battery Charger + USB Data Cable with Car Adapter Compatible with Nikon CoolPix S1000pj / S620 / S630 / S640 / S70 / S710 Digital CameraEven though these products are generic, they work fine. I lost the charger to my coolpix camera, and this came with a new battery, a car/wall charger, and a data cable. All for less than it would be to buy an OEM charger.

I was not expecting much because of the low price, but the battery charges fine, and it charges my OEM battery too. It does exactly what I bought it for. I would highly recommend this product.

I didn't expect much from this, especially due to the low price. However, for less than the price of the USB cable at my local camera shop, I got the cable, a spare battery and a battery charger (plus a car adapter that I will never use). Everything works as advertised and I'm happy I took the chance. A pleasant surprise. (|:{>

Husky Liners Custom Fit Second Seat Floor Liner for Select Nissan/Infiniti Models (Black)

Husky Liners Custom Fit Second Seat Floor Liner for Select Nissan/Infiniti ModelsInstalled these in a 2008 Nissan Aramada. These have the same issue that the front liners have, namely Husky didn't do their homework. On the Armada the door sills are actually a little below the carpet level, so when you install these you are left with a raised edge that sticks up to catch the feet of anyone entering the truck. Add in the fact that the raised edge has these super sharped nubs (intended to keep them from sliding around) and you have the potential for some serious damage to kids feet. The Twee One has already caught her feet a couple of times getting into the truck. Seriously NOT RECOMMENDED for Armada owners. If you take a look at the stock photo real close (use the larger image) you can actually see the raised nubs sticking out.

I bought these after my brother got weather tech mats for his vehicle and they kind of slid around a little. Not these they stay put and do everything you would want them to do. I will be buying these for all my vehicles. A must have. Don't ruin your car floor mats !!!!

Powerline By Original Power 0900-78 140/200-Watt Pivoting Inverter with USB Charging Port

Powerline By Original Power 0900-78 140/200-Watt Pivoting Inverter with USB Charging PortI purchased this item at Wal-mart while on a business trip. I left my charger for my GPS at home and the GPS uses a mini-usb charging port. It worked perfectly for the GPS which draws a very small amount of power. I then used it with my laptop which uses a 70 watt adapter, well below the rated 140 watts. The unit fried in less than an hour. It burned out two fuses in my car. I foolishly tried it in a second cigarette outlet after it blew the fuse in the first one.

The unit smelled of burned electrical circuitry. I thought that perhaps I just got a defective unit until I read a review on Amazon about another Powerline brand inverter where the customer had the same experience with two units.

The unit is very compact and light. It easily fits into my computer bag and is 1/3 or less the weight of the typical converter. In that respect the unit is perfect but don't expect it to last long running a laptop. If they make it more durable for a laptop or any device pulling over 50 watts, this would be a great item.

I bought it from Walmart. I was playing music in my car for about 2 hours with the engine off. I then decided to plug the inverter into the cigarette lighter to charge my iPhone. When I connected the iPhone via the USB port, I could smell the unit burning and it blew the 20 amp fuse for the cigarette lighter/radio.

A few days later I opened the unit and I could see some type of white frothing that looked like whip cream but it was hard. I could not tell if this occured when the unit was frying since the smell was gone. The unit has a 25 amp fuse which was still intact which explains why the current by passed it and blew my car's 20 amp cigarette lighter fuse.

I think the amps on this should be less than that of cigarette lighters so that the unit should burn out first. I am no electrician but I believe this could start a fire starting at the unit.

Works great, powers whatever. The fan built-in keeps it cool and working strong. The fan noise can get a little high when drawing power from both ports, but it's worth it!

Optima Batteries 8010-044 6V RedTop Starting Battery

Optima Batteries 8010-044 6V RedTop Starting BatteryThis battery is expensive. I could have bought 3 normal!? lead acid batteries for the price that I paid for only one Optima battery. Why did I do that? I have a 1951 Ford that had a 6 volt system when it was new. I restored it and left it as original as possible. My current lead acid battery is 5 years old. It was leaking and causing corrosion on both battery terminals as well as eating the paint off my battery holder. I participate in a few old car restoration chats. Many, many of the other folks that have tried the 6 volt Optima assured me that I would not be sorry that I spent 3 times more money and I should go ahead a purchase this battery.

I bit the bullet, so to speak, and ordered the battery. I had already cleaned my cables and repainted my battery holder while waiting for the battery to arrive. I strapped it in with bungie cords and turned the key. I spins the engine as fast as a 12 volt. The car had been setting long enough for some of the gasoline to evaporate out of the carburator. With the old battery, I normally squirted some starter fluid down the carb before even attempting to start it. I just wanted to see if this battery is a great as I have been told.

The only thing that I can find to complain about is the size of the battery. I had to make a holddown for it. I cut up some sheet metal, bent it and welded it together in about an hour. I am now a happy owner of a battery that I think that I can trust. I'm also told that it will never leak and ruin my cables or battery holder.

Ron

The Optima battery is a great product. No review necessary of the product quality, it's a good brand and delivers great performance. But the way it was shipped was really surprising. There was no box, nothing. The shipping labels were just slapped on the plastic housing of the battery and the insulating caps were taped down with clear packaging tape. It arrived, but was showing obvious abrasion to the plastic, and I had to use Goop Off to get the glue from the various labels removed. This battery is destined for a classic car. It is visible when you open the hood, so looks count. I was really surprised that Amazon's supplier of these did such a PATHETICALLY POOR JOB of packaging it for shipment!

Bought 2 of these 6 volt for our antique cars in May, 2010. In October the first one would not hold a charge. Took it to the local Optima distributor and they verified it would not hold a charge. The second one failed in March, 2011 and Amazon said it was not their responsibility since it was over 30 days. A good deal is only a good deal when it works. This is not a good deal. Please consider buying from a local distributor that will stand behind their product. I've learned my lesson.

I purchased this battery for an antique automobile I own that sits for long periods of time. A regular acid battery requires periodic charging if left unattended but the optima batteries I've owned in the past have performed well for me even after sitting for over six months at a time. Another feature I like about optimas are they can be mounted in ANY position without leaking. I have been very satisfied with my purchases from amazon and the delivery times have been excellent.

Want Optima Batteries 8010-044 6V RedTop Starting Battery Discount?

Do not buy this battery as the warranty does not take affect unless you buy it from a authorized retailer which is not Amazon. I bought this battery and it arrived dead on arrival (after messing around with this for 2 weeks I figured it out to my shock). It being dead was not the big issue until I called Optima and they said there was nothing they could do because it was bought through Amazon. A 20 day old battery is worthless because Amazon will not take it back because batterys are not allowed to be returned. Looks like $122 has been thrown down the toilet save yourself this headache.

Griffin Technology BlueTrip Wireless Bluetooth Audio for iPod

Griffin Technology BlueTrip Wireless Bluetooth Audio for iPod
  • Bluetooth stereo audio kit combines a wireless transmitter with a stereo audio receiver that connects to your home A/V system
  • Transmit up to 30 feet away from your stereo
  • Connects to stereo via RCA cables
  • Nicely balanced audio without compromising on bass
  • Compatibility: iPod nano (1G and 2G), iPod mini, 3G iPod, 4G iPod with click wheel, iPod Color, iPod Video

OVERVIEW:

First of all, it has awesome sound quality, it blows away any FM transmitter that I've heard of. It sounds better than any FM receiver also.

The hardware is stylish and the base is removable.

It comes with gold plated audio cables to connect to your stereo system.

It pretty much just works, out of the box.

You just turn on the receiver, and plug the transmitter into your iPod, when a connection is established, you iPod will start playing!

MY USE OF THE PRODUCT:

I keep my iPod on my body, that way I can't leave it anywhere.

I really got tired of the wire that connects my iPod to the car stereo.

I selected this model because it runs on 12 volts for my car.

I purchased a separate 12 volt adaptor from Radio Shack

MY ONLY RANT:

The only problem is that the transmitter unit must be removed, in order to use your iPod normally, when it is out of range of the receiver. This is a hassle for me because I just want to pop in my earbuds in, and walk away from the car. However the stupid code in the thing does not allow the iPod to continue to play. Please keep in mind that most people would not encounter this problem, that's why the rating is still 5 stars.

COMPATIBILITY NOTES:

Also the Dock Connector unit only works with click-wheel based iPods (personally tested with iPod Mini, 5.5G & 3G iPods.) It failed on the 3G unit, if you have a 3G iPod, you must get the model that plugs into the top!

There are cheaper solutions, but for my car's safety, I will never dock an iPod in a car because of the chance that I may leave it there, and walk away.

A friend of mine was playing music from his iphone thru this and I thought it was great. I have one now and do the same thing, I love it! I can go anywhere in the house and control the music and volume from my iphone. Very easy to set up, literally a minute or two and your connected!

Read Best Reviews of Griffin Technology BlueTrip Wireless Bluetooth Audio for iPod Here

A few comments, there are two (2) versions, one that connects to the top, and one that connects to the bottom (dock).

The bottom connection does work with 3gen units, I have one and tried, works just the same as the top connector however the top connect seems more convienent because you can charge via the bottom connector plus you cn control the variable volume from the iPod 9headphone jack vs the line out via the Dock connector).

Sound quality, well the reviewer above is correct its better than FM but not by much, I can on occasion depending upon the song (all are orginal import in AAC format) hear a little distortion, but you really have to listen closely inorder to critique this. Just a note if your picky you may not be happy about this.

The convience, this is how it should be all along, it is ashame that with advance technology, even 3rd party accesories can not get this right. As far as design this one is as close to perfect as they come.

BUT...

Having tried two (2) units I get the same behavior/problem. Turning the iPod unit OFF, the blue tooth reciever does not return to standby mode (blinking blue light, which another reviewer was correct, it can be very annoying at night if trying to watch a movie, etc. one needs to consider placement or turn the switch off on the back), anyways, inorder to resych the blue tooth the next time you have to power cycle the blue tooth reciever to get it back into standby/searching mode. Sometimes it works and returns to standby/search mode as it should by itself when the iPod is turned off. At the very least there should be integrated simple programing rules to allow to resume the last connection or override and allow a new connection, with MAC addressing this should be very easily done. Otherwise my BlueTrip is trying to conenct to the reciever but the reciever is stuck looking for the old connection. Why it does not recognise a new connection, it would be simple to program :-(

Additionally, very stangely if the iPod is sitting in its dock with the BlueTrip connector via the top, the iPod which is OFF, it will automaticlly turn on by itself and begin transmiting.

As far range, 30 feet is exactly that. Suffices for my needs. It would be nice if it could reach farther.

In the end dispite the problems it does accomplish alot, its just sad to see that the product was not fully thought out in design. Its still a keeper, is it worth $100 retail, meh thats a reach, if it did not have issues , then YES. Otherwise look for bargins can be had less than $50.

Portable 12V Electric Air Pump for Inflatable Boat, Digital Control Double Stage: High Volume Fan & High Pressure Cylinder, Achilles Zodiac Mercury Compatible, Free HR Valve Adaptor & Carry Bag Only by SeamaxIf you are using a foot pump to inflate your inflatable boat toss it out! This is so much better than the foot pump, it inflates very fast and stops at the exact pressure needed. This unit reads KPA units, its easy to convert with numerous online charts. It comes preset at 25kpa which is 3.6 psi, and that is what most inflatable tubes need. The keel should be inflated to 60kpa which equals 5psi. Worth every penny, especially when its hot out and you want to get that boat inflated quickly, and get out on the water. :)

No really. I literally have a box of old battery terminals that i have scrapped over the years. Tsunami, Monster, Schoshe, DBlink, Stinger and this is without a doubt the most well thought out best looking battery terminal i have ever seen. It comes apart and allows for customized use and there isnt metal showing to rust or erode. There is an abundance of add ons to choose from on how to configure it. My ONLY complaint is that the plastic piece that covers the screw that secured the second cover came apart after about 10 instal/uninstalls. the screw is fine i jsut need a screw driver to do it now instead of my fingers. a MUST for a serious car audio system.

Since I couldn't find many 0 gauge battery connectors I went with this. It comes with waterproof grommets and a ton of hardware to fit any application I can think of. Had no issue fitting 0 gauge into it, and 3 terminals this block could power a house. Just wish my car didn't have a very awkward fuze bank right after the battery connection, made it impossible to install in + without cutting and extending 4 wires. Just use it for a ground to battery, 2,000W, headlights, all interior lights on, and stock alternator and no dim/voltage drop.

Arkon GPS-NHWC Mini-USB Hard-Wire GPS Cable-Black

Arkon GPS-NHWC Mini-USB Hard-Wire GPS Cable-Black
  • Input: 12-24V
  • Output: 5V at 1A
  • Features built-in power converter and overcharging protection circuit
  • Compatible with most Garmin, TomTom, Magellan, and Mio GPS that use the Mini USB Power Connector

I hard wired several of these cables to my street and dirt bikes (BMW 800 GS, KTM 530, Husqvarna 310) for use with a Garmin Nuvi 550 and Oregon 450 T. They work well but prior units have failed. I traced the failure to breakage of the small internal wires due to shock and vibration. Riding aggressively off road creates quite a bit of shock and vibration. I suggest that if you use any of these small usb cable units on a motorcycle that prior to use, remove the box cover (2 small screws) and apply clear silicone sealant to the tiny wires and other internal pieces to secure them. Let dry, then reinstall the cover and you are ready to go. An added benefit to the silicone treatment is that it resists water which can also cause failure. Since going to this bit of extra effort i have had no problems and my GPS units work well. I would have rated 5 stars if the usb came pre-sealed and treated but then it probably would cost more. Overall these work great and the price is very reasonable.

Requires a little bit of wire stripping and soldering, as should be expected with a hardwire install. Works great with a Garmin Nüvi 1490T. Unlike some vehicle power solutions, it doesn't send the Nüvi into USB mode. The toroid makes it a little difficult to snake the cable through your vehicle, but it's not too bad. It would be nice if the plug was a right-angle.

Good solution for those who want to hard wire a charger (without using an accessory/cigarette lighter plug). I would have rated it 5 stars if the box that contains the circuitry had been a little smaller.

Want Arkon GPS-NHWC Mini-USB Hard-Wire GPS Cable-Black Discount?

I bought this to hardwire my dashcam, which uses a USB mini port for power.

It worked right off the bat after install.

Cord was long enough to install in my 2012 F150 from center dash through the dash conduit to passenger feet area.

The box made it a bit difficult to feed the wire through the conduit, but it eventually went through.

Word to the wise though you should really own proper wire strippers. There is a very short amount of bare wire by default. I tried to strip these with a knife and I made a mess of the ends.

I wired this into my motorcycle to power my Garmin and it worked well for about 6 hours. After that, my Garmin Nuvi 765T started reporting "Accessory connected to wrong port" every few minutes and stopped charging. I ended up ripping out this charger and replacing it with the OEM Garmin charger http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0086CTL5Y/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_5 with leads soldered right to contacts and then wrapped in electrical tape. The OEM charger works much better.
