When I'm in the car, I need the ability to charge my Blackberry. That's what i got this piece of junk for. I got this thing pretty cheaply (I believe the shipping cost more $ than the kit itself), but I guess you get what you pay for. Car charging plug is STONE COLD DEAD. And I've only used it maybe once before. Turned the key in the ignition, and to my utter chagrin, NO RED LIGHT *gulp* Taken aback, I incredulously played with the cord, poked at the plug, etc-hoping that it was just a faulty connection-but NO. Dead. No power. This really screwed me over, too, because I was in a remote location-out for the day-and SORELY needed to charge my dead phone. Couldn't do it-for want of a part that i paid to get and was supposed to have the use of. As I mentioned, I've only used this charger perhaps once before. Ugh, ugh. Conveniently, the guarantee is long gone. Back to Amazon to find a replacement kit that's a LITTLE better.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $ ON THIS. If I had 3 or 4 thumbs, I'd give it 4 thumbs down.

Bosch C3 Fully Automatic 4-Mode 6/12V Smart Battery Charger and Maintainer (3.8 Amps)

The Bosch C3 battery charger is a "smart" charger, which detects the voltage of your battery and decides if it is 6V or 12V, and then charges accordingly. However, there is a very serious flaw here. What if your 12V car battery is heavily discharged to a voltage less than 6V?

Answer: the charger fails, it will NOT recharge your battery back to 12 Volts.

If your battery currently is discharged to less than 6 volts the C3 "smart" chip presumes that your battery is therefore only a 6V battery, and will charge it only to 6 Volts, not the 12 Volts which you need. There is NOTHING you can do to get it to charge to 12V if the charge has drained briefly to less than 6V, regardless of the age or quality of your battery. You are out of luck.

So, a great battery charger if you only need to "top it off", but it will fail you completly if you left your dome light on while away on vacation and then need to recharge back to 12V. That is what happened to me, and I had to go out and buy a different brand battery charger to recover the 12V charge in my perfectly good car battery.

Not worth it.

Chargers have come a long way since I was a new driver back in the 60's. The boxy chargers have been replaced with this modern device. They are no longer a shock hazard and much safer. No metal cabinet to rust. This unit is small and computer controlled with obvious advantages for both. It looks like it will last a lifetime with normal care. This sure makes the task of keeping you batteries in shape a simple task. I feel very safe using this over the old lead acid rechargers I grew up with. I still would use it with a ground fault protector just to be safe on wet floors or humid conditions, but it just looks and feels safer to me. I am happy to have this fine product from a great name, Bosch.

I've had this charger for almost 2 years. At first I was quite impressed with the design and seemingly high quality. It did a good job charging a riding mower battery and car batteries. However, I quickly began to miss my old analog battery charger that was over 30 years old and had a quick charge function.

The "smart" functions interfere with some of the things I needed to do--charge a really drained 12V battery (it couldn't accurately determine whether it was a 6V or 12V), or charge a battery pack that was neither 6V nor 12V. Yes, I realize this a safety feature but I'm smart enough to know how to charge a battery correctly manually.

I've grumbled and put up with it (especially when it would go off when the power was cut and then not come on automatically), but I recently discovered it is no longer responding to the push button. I have to spend 5 minutes squishing or rubbing it in every direction before it apparently makes contact inside and changes the mode. Very very frustrating.

Here's the kicker: Although it has a 2-warranty, Bosch states, "The limited warranty further excludes normal wear and tear on parts and damage to fragile components (e.g. switches)." Seriously??? The ONLY moving part on this unit and it's fragile? Not worth the money if it's going to fail before 2 years.

Upon unboxing the Bosch Model C3 6.3/12.6 VDC Battery Charger, it is immediately evident that this is a high quality product characteristic of the Bosch name. The C3 is very compact compared to the old car battery chargers of the past. The charger is constructed of a high impact plastic and therefore not susceptible to rusting as were the old metal box chargers. All mode and status displays are on the front of the charger, as well as the single mode select button. The C3 is equipped with a heavy duty 120 VAC power cord as well as a durable DC charging cable. As expected, the C3 immediately switched to pulse charging, remaining in the pulse mode for approximately 7 hours before reverting to a trickle charge mode.The Bosch C3 battery charger performed flawlessly.

The 36 page Bosch C3 instruction manual is very well written and printed in 3 languages, English, French and Spanish. Bosch strongly emphasizes operating safety. The manual clearly addresses the potential for charging wet cell batteries to "off gas", thereby creating an explosive atmosphere. Therefore, the charger should never be connected or disconnected from the battery while the battery is charging. Bosch also cautions the user from operating the charger in wet conditions.

Bosch emphasizes that this charger is only designed to charge 6.3 or 12.6 VDC wet cell or gel cell rechargeable batteries. It is not designed to charge dry cell batteries.

The Bosch C3 Automatic Battery Charger is packaged with the C3 automatic charger, a battery charging cable equipped with a disconnect and an inline 10 A automotive fuse, red and black insulated heavy duty alligator clamps, a removable hanger and an operating manual. I'm very pleased with this Bosch C3 Battery Charger, it's not your basic car battery charger because it's a "Smart Charger" it's computer controlled meaning it adjusts to the needs of the battery that's being charged. You do need to select the type of battery being charged, car, motorcycle or AGM but after that this charger takes control. If the charger senses a 12 volt battery is between 8 and 10.5 volts it automatically switches to pulse charging, this allows the battery to recover the best possible way enhancing the charging process for such a low condition. This is just one of the many computer controlled advantages of this type of battery charger.

I added the optional Bosch C35AC0 Quick Connect Cable Harness for C3 Battery Charger, it's a direct connect harness you can connect to your car or whatever battery that's installed. You simply plug the charger into the end of the harness, I have one in my sports car that's stored Winters, it makes it very simple to just leave the charger connected, once the battery is fully charged the Bosch C3 charger switches over to a trickle, when I want to use the car I just unplug the harness and drive away. I can't say enough about this great charger, buy one and you won't regret it!

Update: I found that chargers made by NOCO use the same plug and make many options for connecting to different application at a lower price. I'm guessing NOCO makes chargers for Bosch and use the same quick plugs. Wow this came quick via USPS! This is one tough mount! It is far from flimsy and quite stiff. All a pleasant surprise. My 'naked' Evo LTE fits perfectly. The bottom 'fingers' are spring loaded for a secure fit. I'm a little concerned that the 'fingers' seem flimsy, but so far so good. Installation on the passenger front seat bolt was a piece of cake and took under five minutes. I highly recommend and plan on buying a second one for my wife.

These fit absolutely perfectly in my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I've purchased other brands with some curling/warping of the edges but not these.

I bought a pair of the Husky Front Floor liners for my 1999 Jeep Cherokee. For other vehicles I have Weathertech Floor liners, but I had read a lot of positives feedback about the Husky liners in 4x4 mags so I thought that I would try them out. They do fit well, but do not offer as much coverage as Weather Tech liners. The spikes on the bottom will definitly keep the mats in place, for sure. The Weather Tech liners are thicker and feel like they have more quality. My Weather techs have certainly held up to years of abuse, and I am not wholly confident that Husky liners will do the same. Of course, the Weather Techs cost more than the Husky Liners too. Basically, it comes down to this, if you want a serious heavy duty mat that offers serious protection from mud and liquids, pony up the extra cash for the Weather Tech liners. If you just want better coverage from the elements or spilled food/drinks, etc Husky Liners will do you just fine and are much better than you will find in a regular automotive or box store for the money. Since I wanted something for wheelin and to protect the vehicle against life on a ranch, I would have sent this back asap if it were not for a stiff restocking fee.

These are very cheap products, but do what they're supposed to. I have not yet been able to figure out the belt clip, but doubt I would use it anyways.

If you want an additional Sync Cable and the Charging equipment then this might be a good purchase. The case, armband and belt clip are horrible in my opinion. The case is not configured to the buttons of the player and I had to cut a hole for the earplugs connection because the hole is located on the top of the case instead of the bottom like it is on the player.

Pretty decent products and do what they are supposed to do. I am glad I looked around before getting the same stuff from Sony which could have set me back more than $100 easy. I have taken them around on a few business trips and haven't had a problem. If I had more disposable income, I would probably buy the official accessories with nice design and logo, but for now these do the trick.

I love Sony Products and I will purchase Sony Products again. The player conked out

on me after two weeks of use while it was playing I heard this loud popping sound

and the player never played again.

I never saw the screen because it was just a faint picture , since I had it for the

music to aid me in my walking I could pass on that. The sound was beautiful and I

I purchased this new Terra 45 Winch from Amazon for an unbeleivable $211.99 and it has far exceeded my expectations. I am using it as a utility winch on my car trailer to haul Jeeps and other vehicles. The motor sounds great, and the construction is much more rugged than the entry level Chinese winches (which this is replacing). It has plenty of power and the release mechanism is easy to operate.

I am also using this winch at the front of a car hauler to pull disabled vehicles onto the trailer. It was either a Chinese 10K pound winch or this one. From the research I did, this will pull the same and last longer, so it was an easy choice. It is very well built compared to the Warn I had on my ATV, the motor sounds great the gears are pretty quiet and the kit comes very complete. The only thing I needed to purchase was a snatch block which effectively doubles the weight it can pull. More importantly I feel that taking the extra few minutes to use a snatch block will increase the life of the winch dramatically as it doesn't have to work as hard. Having the remote is very handy when loading a car and the handlebar switch works well mounted to the winch. I am using it with a 2" hitch winch mount and a custom receiver at the front of the trailer so I don't have to leave it out in the weather and also so I can use it on my truck and ATV's. A very versatile tool for all sorts of uses.

I bought this winch for my car and equipment trailer and find this product to exceed expectations in every way.

Top quality components with all wiring and instructions included. I mounted the winch inside my trailer mounted tool box

to keep it out of the weather and out of sight. I mounted the roller fair lead on the wall of the tool box facing the trailer deck

and use the UTV handlebar control switch to operate the winch when I am standing alongside the tool box. I lengthened the wired remote

control harness to reach behind my trailer so I can steer the vehicle I am loading .

As soon as I recieved this by UPS I put it to work pulling

down a large ash tree. It had plenty of power to pull the tree

in the direction I wanted & to also pull the limbs from the

trees that it fell onto. It took a while to wire it as it is

designed mainly for mounting to a vehicle. But I built a box

out of a plastic tool box to hold all the wiring components

so now I can just take that, a 12 volt battery and the winch

anywhere it is needed in the woods. I did use the hitch mount

to do the job and that worked ok but I will build a custom

bracket to fasten to trees to keep the winch upright. I like

the ease that you can spool out the cable by turning the large

knob on the side. Everything is color coded with a diagram so

its not that big a deal to wire up.

I purchased this along with the Komodo portable winch mount from Amazon.com.

So far, I've used the winch on the mounting plate attached to the hitch receiver on my pick-up truck to pull up small trees. I don't know exactly how powerful the winch is but, attached to one larger tree, it pulled my GMC Canyon pick-up with the parking brakes applied without sounding strained.

Since I'm not using this on an ATV/UTV I had to do some modifications to the wiring. I attached the small red wires together that would normally go to the ignition and simply attached them to the positive pole of the battery along with the battery positive battery cable. I have a 700 amp car battery and a deep cycle marine battery that I use with the winch.

The Komodo portable winch mount required some modifications for the Terra 4500. It has eyes welded on for winches with a narrower fairlead than the 4500 has. I cut these completely off including the welds with a grinder and cut out a slot where the mount has a front lip so the fairlead could be mounted flush on the base. Unfortunately, I cut the slot in the centerline and couldn't use the cage on the mount. If the slot in the front lip is cut approximately 1/2 to 1 inch to the right of the centerline of the mounting plate (looking at the plate from the hitch side), the cage for the mount should fit.

To summarize, this is a powerful little winch,has met all my expectations and, along with the Komodo portable mount and some high amp batteries, is extremely versatile.

This was an awesome idea as I always have a charger whether I'm in my car or once I leave my car I even have a wall charger all in one. I only wish I would have kept up with the blue-tooth as long as I kept up with the charger also because it has the interchangeable tip I'm going on the hunt for the tip for my latest blue-tooth accessory. Also the cord is pretty long so if your in the backseat and your plugged in in the front of the car you can still reach you device.

With 900 amps, I expected a lot more. Wouldn't even start a garden tractor in 20 degree temps. I hooked my AC charger up and it started right away. The air compressor is slow, as well. I bought it to use on my outdoor power equipment which sits for a long time and often needs air in the tires and occasionally a jump start. This thing just doesn't cut it.

I invested many hours charging this several times but it did not work. Returned in weeks ago after receiving Amazon pre-authorization but haven't received a refund. Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry disappointing experience overall.

I have had to use it twice since my June, 2010, purchase. So far, so good. Just make sure you adhere to instructions, always and it will work out just fine. Don't be haphazard with it and it will take care of you. I used it for my riding mower, it was just fine. I used it on a girlfriend's car tire that was extremely flat and in a matter of minutes, it inflated her tire. Wonderful for women to have. I did quite a bit of reading of the many reviews of this type of product. I wanted a quality unit and I finally selected this one. I really liked the fact that it has a replaceable auto fuse. I felt that if the company went to the expense of adding that feature then it may well be a safe (won't burn up) and dependable device. It fits snugly in the outlet so it will stay put while driving. It folds to take up less room in a glove box when not in use. The indicator light clearly shows that proper contact is made, yet is not distracting. The folding feature gives you some choice on how to ''angle'' the device in the car. Finally it will power and charge an iPad 3. Delivery was quick and packaging was good. I plan on ordering additional ones for other vehicles. I hope this review helps others who are considering an outlet adapter.

I am rating this product 3 stars. My experience with this product was not one of disappointment but from an engineering or design aspect, one where a good product could be a great product, except for one small detail. I would recommend this product to others with one caveat: Before you use the product, unscrew the nose cap (pointed end) off of the plug, add some super glue to the threaded portion and re-attach the nose. Let it cure for a bit before you ever insert it into your car outlet jack. I am an engineer and I notice things from an engineering perspective. This product failed the first time I used it. It is mostly well designed and I love the fact that it is fused to protect your car's electrical system from an overload and I also liked the locking feature in the plug whereby you can lock the angle of the plug in a certain position. All of that works well. The one thing that I would consider a design flaw is the spring pushing the positive electrode outward is way too strong. The threads for the tip are very fine and the spring ( at least in my experience) causes the nose portion to strip out of the threads and in my case, break off the threaded portion, rendering the device useless. Oh, I have ordered another one, but next time I'll make this one modification. I hope the manufacturer takes note of this flaw and redesigns with a less aggressive spring. Then this might be a 4-star product.

So far, so good...it works like a champ out of the box. I haven't loaded up all 4 ports yet, but it handles the two cigarette-type plugs fine. Nice blue LED lets you know it's working, and I like having the circuit breaker there to protect my devices in case of a surge. The swivel adapter has a lot of intermediate settings the picture doesn't show, so you can position it where you like. nice compact design made of nylon and plasic. bonded tray to boat deck with pl premium construction adhesive. lenght of hold down rods are barely long enough for a walmart deep cycle battery, but for other brands of battery hold down fits fine.

Good plastic tray that provides the security for my bank of batteries. The simple plastic secure down plastic pieces work well and when turned and tightened properly, are less likely to snag any wires. With plastic, I won't have to remove the trays due to corrosion from salt water. Lastly, shipping was QUICK. Ordered two trays and had both delivered in 4 days at the same time. This was great.

Bought this larger tray for an upgraded battery. Previous tray was the smaller Attwood. New larger tray installed in same mounting holes, old tray still in excellent shape after 12 years.

It works great. I think I read a review that said they stripped the threads on the top hold downs and I have to say that's a monkey with a hammer. You can feel confident once you tighten them down and the base has plenty of holes to screw to wherever your mounting it. I used it on a series 27 marine battery from Advanced. No problems with this one!

I bought this product for my Ford Focus, because the car had only one 12V socket. I had my iPod and GPS, so I needed a splitter. I bought this product and it worked for about two months. It then began loosing the connection as it would slightly slide out of the 12V socket and disconnect. I took the unit apart to see what was wrong and it is a terrible design. The inside is cheaply made and not designed to last. The spring that allows the end plug to touch the outlet broke off and the would not allow a connection. I repaired the unit, but it broke again shortly their after. It is now not repairable and I am going to buy a differnt product. This product looks nice but is a waste of money. Get another splitter for your car.

Sockets are very loose. I have a goose neck FM transmitter to hold my I-phone. Phone kept on falling, screen has a scratch now.

I drive an automatic '09 Toyota Matrix and the car may be the actual problem, but this adapter doesn't work in this car. The console and emergency brake handle are too crowded for a "straight run" or a simple upward tilt. I frequently lost power and had to hold pressure on the adapter in order for it to make proper contact. I bought a pig tail type adapter and it works fine.

Saved a tone of money with this. I'll be honest and I am sorry for this, but I do speed on freeways in America. Sorry, but in my opinion speed limits are way too low here. It's hard to drive on Autobahns with no speed limits one day, and then the next thing you know, you live in America and you have to live with 55/65 mph. So to cut the chase, I've purchased this unit to avoid tickets and to replace my previous lower end Cobra that had a lot of false alarms.

Summary:

Detects highway patrol/cops from far far away, including their most advanced guns, thus saving you a fortune.

Beware some officers know their job well: Will not protect you from those smart officers, who know how to ticket you by tailgating you. No detector will help you against that one. Trust me I got ticket that way.

Checked legality with friend of mine who is an Officer and found out that these are not illegal in California. BUT:Keep on mind that seeing one in your car will certainly NOT make Officer happy, and it WILL put you in A bad light.

To conclude: Well paid off investment. I was supposed to be ticketed dozen of times w/out this. At least I am honest and hope that helps. But don't be me. I still don't encourage you to you to speed and drive unsafely. Be smart, at the end of the day all that speeding, will save you only 2-3 minutes. I promise to change, too.

I can't justify paying more than $100 dollars for a RADAR detector. This one does the job fine. All RADAR detectors will give false alarms for door openers, etc., since they use the same frequencies. Also, officers have to have their RADAR on for your detector to work. Some of the reviews on here whined about police officers being right next to them and it not going off.

For a cheap RADAR/LIDAR detector, the Cobras work just like they should. They cannot do magic, and neither can the $400 ones. The only advantage to the more expensive ones are if they come with remote mounted (front and rear) sensors. Otherwise, it's the same technology for 4x times the price.

I recently took a 400 mile round trip with my Cobra and I was very pleased in fact it saved me twice from getting a $180 ticket so it more than paid for it self two times over. False alerts are very rare and it's very obvious by the strength that it's from a store. On a straight run on the highway I get about a two mile or more warning. On hills and curves that is cut down quite a bit but still enough time to slow down. I love the extra features like the compass and intellimute. The usb port for the gps module is great to have if I ever want red light camera capability. The size is a little longer that other radar detectors but the suction cup mount seems stronger that the $350 Escort I had and the unit does not shake like the Escort did. The coiled cord is nice and is a perfect length for my car. A long straight cord is available if anyone needs that.

Overall I'm very happy with the Cobra. It looks great and works great. What more can you ask for? Buy it. You'll like it.

After enjoying the XRS 9945 for a couple of weeks I decided to get the red light gps module. Although I haven't taken any trips yet that encounter red light cameras, I really like being able to put in my own user alerts (up to 1000) and having my speed and more accurate compass available. I feel I have the complete package now.

I don't know why people are bashing Cobra radar detectors. The XRS 9945 has worked as well as an Escort 8500 I had a while back plus it has tons of useful features. I read about a $500 Bell and how it knows the difference between non police signals and police radar (different freq's). My Cobra does that at one quarter the price. I had a low end Cobra from Walmart and a mid range Whistler and they were both junk. The only time they would alert to a police radar is when you were withing 100 ft. However they alerted to everything else. The Cobra XRS 9945 is not in that class at all. It is so quiet sometimes I think it's not working. It seems the way I have it configured, the only time it alerts is when it's a cop. Isn't that what we want from a detector? It is a quality, reliable product with tons of features for a great price.

I have been using this product for well over 3 months already n at first it was not senstive bit when I started to play around with the setting I found it to be very senstive... When I first got it had a hard time picking up the ka band. But since now I have set it up the right way. I usually pick up the ka band from 2 to 3 miles away. And the laser from a cop about a mile away. It's a really good radar detector and I recommend you to get it but I will say you have to play with the settings before you use it. If anyone has any questions just as me I'll glady help you out...
