2 Ton 12v Electric Scissor Car Jack 1/2" Impact Wrench

2 Ton 12v Electric Scissor Car Jack 1/2' Impact WrenchI just put the jack to work and it did great.

I did not test the Impact yet.

Now I can jack up a car without getting out of breath.

Jack works good impact worked but did not try to pull an lug nuts yet!

Came in a case (unexpected) 2 spare fuses were smashed when I recieved from shipper.

It's not yellow as pictured (gray) but I do not care as long as it works!! and it did!!! :)

Used the impact and it work very good!! It's not a constant impact but works well just the same...... happy?? .. YES!!

Buy 2 Ton 12v Electric Scissor Car Jack 1/2" Impact Wrench Now

The car was in the air with the touch of a button. Nice, compact size and it does exactly what it says. I don't like the fact the impact wrench is not in constant contact, the internal hammer spin and hit causing the lug nut to move. It works all the same

White Micro USB Cable + USB Car Charger + USB Wall Charger For Barnes & Noble Nook Touch

White Micro USB Cable + USB Car Charger + USB Wall Charger For Barnes & Noble Nook TouchThis charger fell apart the first time I used it. Charger would not work in my car. I do not recommend this item at all!

I bought this for my new Evo Shift. It works fine. I've had no problems. You get the car and wall charger. It's a 3rd of the price elsewhere. Great buy.

Buy White Micro USB Cable + USB Car Charger + USB Wall Charger For Barnes & Noble Nook Touch Now

I posted another review but it was mysteriously removed!

The truth is the truth.

The wall charger provided with the white cable provided locks your phone while it's being charged, the phone also gets over heated.

The car charger with the white cable provided worked for the first three days if you wrap the cord around the phone. After those 3 days it no longer worked.

I have a usb cable that came with the phone and it works well with the car charger, I haven't tried it with the wall portion.

When the seller read my first negative review, they immediately sent me a refund and asked me to remove my review. I didn't remove it. I'm guessing they took it upon themselves to remove it.

The refund a was a nice gesture, however it doesn't change the fact that this is not a quality product.

LG Solar-Powered Bluetooth Car Kit HFB-500

LG Solar-Powered Bluetooth Car Kit HFB-500
  • Lg Solar-powered Bluetooth Car Kit Hfb-500. Environmentally Friendly.
  • Solar-powered Bluetooth Car Kit Where 2 Hours Of Sunlight Equals 1 Hour Of Talk Time.
  • With Easy Pair, Redial, Call Reject, Echo Cancellation, And Multi Pair.
  • Compatible With Most Mobile Bluetooth Devices For Hands Free Calls
  • 1 Year Warranty From Lg Mobile

Excellent design. Easy to operate. Good call quality. Easy and reliable synching with two cellphones. Most functions controlled by a single large press switch (top 20% of device) whose function depends on call and power status, i.e. answer/end, redial, voice dial, manual sync, and audible power status with power-on and whether call is in-progress, and auto sync with power-off. Solar charging feature is outstanding, especially here in Florida. Device has remained fully charged without the need for the supplied car charging adapter. I previously owned the highly rated MOTOROKR T505 speakerphone which was a nuisance to use I threw it out. I purchased a second LG after two weeks of using the first unit.

This is not a bad product. It is very intuitive to use, in fact I didn't even have to look at the manual to set it up. If you live in a sunny state, then the possibility that you will have to use the car charge (cigarette) adapter to power up the headset is very low. Its main weakness is that the person on the other end of the line won't hear you very well, unless you scream your way through the conversation.

My office is my truck and my ability to conduct business on the phone is critical to my success. Also, much of my driving is on unpaved roads. I have never had to charge the devise outside of its solar charging feature. I have used this product for 3 months and have had no complaints from the other end of my phone calls. Even when I asked the person on the other end they said that they had no idea that I was using a speaker phone devise. I changed employers and now I'm buying another one. Good product.

Want LG Solar-Powered Bluetooth Car Kit HFB-500 Discount?

With bluetooth devices I tend to charge them once, then once the battery dies, never again. It just never makes it back inside the house. Recharging once a week or whatever seems obnoxious.

Enter the self-charging LG bluetooth. It's stupid easy to use (two buttons), syncs up quickly, and never, ever, ever needs to be charged (after the first time). I put it on the window of my car and it's stayed charged for several months of light to moderate usage. Fantastic!

Now for the bad news--the speaker is crap. I've given up using this on the freeway at speed. Granted I drive fast and have a noisyish sports car, but I still have to wait until I hit one of LA's inevitable traffic jams to really make any important calls. I would give it 5 stars if I could hear things clearly, but as it is this unit earns 3.5 stars. (Cue Ed McMahon)

A solar-powered hands-free bluetooth speaker/mic for your car would be resistant to sun and heat. It is not. This unit worked very well for me from January through June. It never needed a charge despite many cloudy days mounted on the inside of the windshield as directed by the manufacturer. But one hot day in July, while I was at work, the unit overheated, swelled up, warped and ruined the power and answer/call buttons. It is fused into a single mass and literally bursting at its plastic seams.

This is a device DESIGNED to be installed in a hot, sunny windshield, and it was destroyed the first time the temperature exceeded 90 degrees outside. The temperature inside the car may have been 120 I don't know but still, extremely disappointing. And it's not like I live in Texas or Arizona. This was a sunny day in Oregon. Insert your own clouds-and-rain joke here.

I give two stars because the concept is excellent and the initial quality was decent. But buy this only if you want to install it in your car and then take it out every day and carry it around with your phone or misplace it. Lame.

DB Link RTG0 0-Gauge Gold Ring Terminal

DB Link RTG0 0-Gauge Gold Ring Terminal
  • Gold Ring Terminal
  • Clear, Heat-Resistant
  • Plastic Housing
  • 0 Gauge

I've purchased a few DB Link wiring products, and I've been happy with them all for the price. For these, I'm very happy. They fit some Monster single aught (1/0) cable perfectly. Well, mine had very thick insulation like 1/4 inch but the wire itself fits perfectly. I just had to trim the insulation down a little. Normal wire would probably fit very nicely (there's a little space at the end where the insulation will fit inside the connector for a clean look). The set screw uses a reasonably large allen wrench, so I felt confident that I was getting it cranked down solidly and making a good connection. These feel reasonably substantial, and the ring terminal is offset some on the body so it will work well with different clearance situations. I think the hole was .25", but now I don't remember if it was 5/16 or 1/4. I'll go measure it later and update the review. Maybe I'll take some pictures, too. :)

Otherwise, I feel that I should note that the ad doesn't make it clear if you get 1 or 2. You get two, one with black print and one with red. I only used one, and was happy with the price at that point; two is a pretty good bargain, I think. If I need more of these kinds of things, I'll definitely look to DB link as a viable option.

These ring terminals fit the 0 gauge wire great. The finish on them is nice lood just like the picture. My fuse holder had to be modified a little bit the cover would not snap into place all the way but it was worth it just for the look.

So I purchased 3 packs, so a total of 6 terminals. I used them to do the Big 3 Upgrade. They way you crimp the 1/0 Wire is easy to do and works very well. What I disliked was that if your using them to ground a wire you need to put 2 washers so that you can get the best contact possible. In my opinion that is a big flaw. The area were the bolt goes in the back part its not flush with the rest of the back of the terminal and that's why you need washers. Do I regret getting them no

BW Hard Shield Shell Cover Snap On Case for Verizon Samsung Brightside U380 + Car + Home Charger-Pu

BW Hard Shield Shell Cover Snap On Case for Verizon Samsung Brightside U380 + Car + Home Charger-PurpleThe case is a lot prettier once you get it. I bough it because it was the cheapest charger and I got a case and car charger too! I was nervous it wouldn't work for my phone but, both chargers did. FYI they are an off brand but, if I wanted to pay top dollar I would have bought the name brand elsewhere.

This case is very nice. The color is not true to the picture. It is a hard case with a light gel finish. It snaps to the back and front and provides a tight fit. For the price, it is excellent because you get the chargers as an extra bonus. My phone did not come with a car charger, which is very handy when you are traveling long distance.

You will not be dissapointed with this product. Thanks again!

Miccus Mini-jack TX: Bluetooth Music Transmitter pair it with Headphones, Speakers, Helmets and Blu

Miccus Mini-jack TX: Bluetooth Music Transmitter pair it with Headphones, Speakers, Helmets and Bluetooth Receivers.
  • Simple- Use with PCs, GPS, game consoles, CD/DVD players, MP3 players, laptops etc.
  • Compatible - works with any playback device that has a standard headphone jack (1/8" or 3.5mm).
  • Listen to music on any Bluetooth compatible headphone, hearing aid, speaker or more.
  • The 90 Degrees headphone jack swivels allowing for easy storage, portability and hard-to-reach connections.
  • Operating times - Up to 7 hours playback using internal Lithium-Ion battery or continuous with USB.

I purchased both the Belkin Bluetooth Reciever Belkin Bluetooth Music Receiver and the BluBridge Receiver from two different locations and was going to return the one that I liked the least. So here is a very quick comparison. In the testing I also had one of my friends give his opinion as well. Here is what we both thought:

Belkin Bluetooth Reciever

Sound Quality: Amazing/Excellent 10/10sounds just as good if not better than standard wired 3.5mm audio connection

Range: 8/10 Line of sight maybe 20-25ft, although I hear that this also depends on your transmitter, I was using Lenovo s10-3t netbook integrated bluetooth and Iphone 3GS integrated bluetooth as source.

Connectability Ease: 10/10, once you have paired it, it stays plugged in to the wall next to your stereo. Example: I turned off my Lenovo s10-3t netbook, the blue light went out on the belkin receiver showing disconnect, I turned the netbook on a day later, immediately I notice the belkin blue light come back on the belkin receiver, and the connect is so fast that the windows 7 startup sound/chime came in through my stereo. Obviously if you connect your computer to a different bluetooth audio device, you will have to later tell it to reconnect to the belkin. But the whole process is super smooth.

Portability: NOT PORTABLE, stays plugged in to wall, this is also a PLUS, because it always stays very ready for easy connect.

BluBridge 3.5mm Mini-Jack Rx Receiver

Sound Quality: Excellent 9.8/10, wired and the belkin bluetooth sound were slightly better, it was more of a slightly fuller/richer, slightly louder sound with the belkin or wired connection. Note: it is only very slightly better sound. My friend and I could only tell the difference when we used the same song, same sound source connecting back and forth very quickly. In the BluBridge's defence it produces 9.8/10 sound whether on battery power or connected to usb charging.

Range: 9/10 Line of sight maybe 25-30ft, basically I got an additional 5ft of range from the same bluetooth transmitters. The signal did seem stronger, when I would start to reach the max, the signal would break and then regain clear again for 3-4 more feet if the transmitter was stable. With the belkin as soon as the signal started to break, the signal was gone.

Connectability Ease: 8/10, this is mainly because the unit has a battery power saver that shuts off the device when not in use. So you have to hold down the button on the unit for 7 seconds, then connect with your device (Iphone 3GS or Lenovo s10-3t netbook)

Portability: Extremely and Easily Portable 10/10. I use it off of battery power mostly, I have it plugged into my Harman Kardon Go + Play High-Performance Portable Loudspeaker System with Dock for iPod (Newest Model) which can also operate off of battery power (8-D-cell batteries). Makes for a excellent portable sound source.

Testing: Used the Belkin RockStar 5-Way 3.5-mm Headphone Splitter (White) with Harmon Kardon Go and Play, 2 computer inputs, Belkin bluetooth input, and BluBridge bluetooth input, and Logitech Z-2300 THX-Certified 2.1 Speaker System with Subwoofer. Everything was connected at once and audio was crystal clear, from anysource, this really speaks volumes for the Belkin rockstar. And if your wondering, yes I did play the movie "Gone in 60 seconds" from my HTPC throught the belkin rockstar outputing to both the Logitech z-2300 speakers and the Harmon Kardon Go and PLay at the same time, sounded really good.

Before Very Close scrutinizing side by side testing, I thought I was going to be returning the Belkin, because the range was about 5ft less, and it wasn't portable. And playing with them separately 20min apart I nor my friend could tell a difference in the sound Quality, so it is very slight. But I ended up keeping them both. I recomend the Belkin if you have a stationary high end stereo system and have no need for bluetooth portability with your stereo system. Other wise I recomend the BluBridge 3.5mm receiver if you think you might ever want to hook it up to portable stereo. The Ease of connectiblity at the end of the day with the belkin is what made me keep it.

They are both EXCELLENT PRODUCTS, read details so see which fits your need better, I found a need for both.

PS: at the end of the testing my friend said he is going to buy the BluBridge bluetooth receiver, he like it because the sound quality was still excellent, it was portable, and he liked the look of it.

I ordered this item because I wanted to be able to watch TV in bed while my wife slept. Its great product but not for watching TV or video. There is a delay in the sound, it's like watching an old Godzilla movie, the people's mouth move and then you hear their voices. I tried it on three other TVs my laptop and my Zen video player and got the same results. I guess this is why they call it a Bluetooth Music Transmitter.

Set up : HTC EVO 4G in Car. Used this device to feed my stereo AUX input to avoid having to connect a 3.5mm jack to my EVO everytime I got into the car

Sound Quality : 5/5. Did some tests with this and a direct connection (with a friend connecting either one way or the other while I had my eyes closed) and I couldn't tell the difference.

Initial Pairing with Phone : 5/5 Very easy as the passcode is 0000, which the phone always tries as a default code, so I didn't even have to type it in.

Connection and Reconnection : 2/5 This is the biggest let down. Once the phone and the device lose contact (ie if you get out of the car to go into a shop, etc) they do not automatically reconnect. Instead you have to press the button on the unit, and also tell the EVO to reconnect. Manageable, but not as slick as my Parrot car kit, which reconnects automatically with no inputs from me.

Device Design : 3/5 Would have been nicer if the 2 wires you need to connect (power/charge and output to AUX) were on the same side of the device. This would have made it easier to mount it in the car

One other issue I had, which is nothing to do with this device itself, and has more to do with your cars electrical wiring, is that I was getting alternator whine through the stereo if I was charging at the same time as playing music. This is a well known phenomenon in car audio and is caused by a ground loop being created between your stereo and the input device. There are multiple correct ways to fix this properly, but I took a short cut and installed a ground loop isolator http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RNNWHC which cured the ground loop and the whining noise

PROS:

I've used several bluetooth transmitters and receivers over the past few years (including equipment made by some famous brand names like Sony and Blackberry) and this is the first tool which really has the solid range which I need. The specs for the range which are listed in the literature for this device are conservative, I believe. The range will always depend on the sensitivity of the bluetooth receiver, plus the power of the transmitter. In this case, Miccus has made sure that you get 200 feet of transmission range and 45 feet of receiving range when it is paired the weakest A2DP devices out there, and factoring in a wall/floor or two. You do not need to be in the line of sight with the device.

The Blubridge Home has a suave design. Those three circles you see on the front are buttons. You press and hold the middle button for three seconds to turn the tool on or off. Once it is on, you can press and hold either the Tx button (left) or Rx button (right) to pair with a foreign bluetooth device. It uses standard bluetooth blink colors (flashes blue and red when pairing, solid blue when connected and receiving, solid red when connected for transmission, flashing red or flashing blue when it is searching for its connection). The lights are in a line inside the case and shine through subtly through the holes and jacks in the back, and the pair of slits along the middle edge of the front.

It is powered by USB. It has a mini-usb jack for that purpose in the housing just below the antenna.

Included in the package are an AC adapter which delivers power to a standard USB jack, a cable which goes from two RCA plugs to one 1/8th inch audio plug, and a male to male 1/8th inch audio cord about a foot long. I have yet to figure out what they intend that last item to be used for (it would have been more useful, if they had included a female to female 1/8th inch audio adapter).

The antenna can be unscrewed and replaced with a larger one if you know where to buy one.

________

CONS:

Only one device can be paired at a time. It cannot transmit and receive at the same time.

There is definitely a pulsing background sound which happens if you adjust the volume on the device wrongly.

Connected as a transmitter, it will never disconnect from the bluetooth receiver. So if you leave it on after going to sleep, for example, it'll stay on all night long. The upshot of this is that the batteries in the receiver can really get worn out quickly.

____________

OTHER THOUGHTS:

Be aware that this is an A2DP (stereo audio) device ONLY. First generation bluetooth devices used a low quality monaural handshake protocol called HSP (or HFP)... and this is not supported hence the one or two complaints you see in the reviews here.

In addition, be mindful that the output of audio equipment which is designed to send a feed to amplified equipment can be a bit grainy. That sounds good when booming out of speakers (it gives a "breathiness" to the sound which adds a sense of heightened emotion). However, it will sound awful with earbuds or headphones. If you're having this problem, it may help to turn down the volume of the origin of the sound before you transmit it with the Miccus Blubridge Home. This effect can't be said to be the fault of the Miccus device.

This tool is supposed to reconnect with the device it has been paired with automatically when it comes into range. I haven't tested this fully because I'm always changing bluetooth devices and needing to re-pair.

I've been reading reviews of Miccus bluetooth devices for about a year now, and given the unqualified enthusiasm people seem to have for the company's products, I have faith that this device will serve me well in the coming years.

This is my second try at a bluetooth transmiter from a 3.5 audio jack. Compared to the first attempt, the Blubridge was a dream come true. I was able to pair to my Plantronics Voyager 855 Stereo Bluetooth Headset with no problem. The first device that I plugged it into after charging via the micro ubs charger was my ipod. The sound was loud and clear. I then plugged it into my netbook and watched some streaming video, no problems. I also have been using it at work with my work PC to listen to streaming audio while I move wirelessly around the office. I do start loosing connectivity after about 15-20 ft, but I only need it to work within that range for my needs. My favorite feature is that I can use it while I have it charging via the usb connection. You just need to turn it back on after you plug it in, as it turns off when it connections to the charger. Another weakness is the user manual is pretty brief. I have serveral questions about why the light blinks the way it does, but it works great. So with few complaints I give this device 4 stars with a strong recommendation.

Viair 00073 70P Heavy Duty Portable Compressor

Viair 00073 70P Heavy Duty Portable CompressorThis is an excellent 12 Volt compressor for light to medium duty inflation jobs. It's small and packs neatly inside the included bag. I keep mine in the trunk for roadside emergencies or even just the occasional pressure adjustment. It also makes light work of inflating bicycle and lawn equipment tires.

I also own a Craftsman, Campbell Hausfeld, & a Superflow HV35 from Q Industries(see the review). I have tested all the units on time to inflate a 215-70R14 from zero to 32lbs. In terms of speed to inflate the Viair 70p and Superflow HV35 blow away the lesser units from Craftsman and C.H.

It takes 15+ minutes to inflate with either of the lesser models. The 70p can handle the task in around 4.5 minutes where the HV35 was closer to 4 minutes flat. In addition to the speed advantages both higher end units do their job in a much smoother and quieter manner.

The 70p's advantages over the HV35 are: Build quality, lower sound output and lower running temperatures. It also seems to draw less current making it less likely to blow your accessory port fuse.

With it's sturdy construction, smooth, quiet, & cool operation, I have little doubt that this compressor will be there when I need it. For the $40 price tag it is a hight value per dollar when compared to lesser makes.

I cannot believe how good this thing is!

I've spent some time doing research and happy i got this particular item

I have BMW with 19 inch sport wheels and low profile tires

This compressor is a part of my road side emergency kit

I have tire plugger and jack in addition to compressor as whole setup to fix my tire if i catch screw or nail while on the road

I have not had any issues in that regard yet, but i did use the comressor to inflate my tire.

It was a bit under spec, so i had to add some air

This little beast did the job within less than 30 second

Yes, not minutes, seconds!

It went from 34psi to 38psi in just a matter of seconds

It was done without any sweat either

Very little noise, very little vibration

Key things i like (also main reasons i bought it):

1. very small/compact compressor

2. powerfull enough to inflate even sport tires

3. super fast

4. built quality is very good

5. inflates other stuff (beach toys, sport equipment)

Buy Viair 00073 70P Heavy Duty Portable Compressor Now

Great little compressor and built very well. Used this at the track to add air to the tires, the fastest cig lighter air compressor I ever used. I had many 20, 25 dollars air compressor and they all break within a year. The size is comparable to the other cheaper compressor not too big, which is nice. The pressure gauge on the compressor is good enough to help you fill your flat tire, just read it when the compressor is off.

updateAlmost 3 years later, still runs like a champ. I don't really know what to say anymore cause its still working great. Would buy an other one if I lose it, cause this thing is not gonna break.

Read Best Reviews of Viair 00073 70P Heavy Duty Portable Compressor Here

I bought this to use on a motorcycle. The pump's size is remarkably small for its output and the carrying case makes it perfect to carry on a motorcycle. However, the built-in gauge for the pump shows 50 pounds when the tires only have 40. That's far too inaccurate to be safe. I compared the pump's built-in gauge against a digital pressure gauge (which is accurate to 0.5 psi) and against the motorcycle's onboard internal gauge (accurate to within 1 psi). Both the external and internal digital readings were identical, but 10 pounds under the pump's readings. A 25% error bar is intolerable.

The pump itself worked well until about 18 months later when it started making noise and about a week later it died. I have another cheaper machine by another brand that I kept in my car which lasted 10 years. The failure of this Viair pump so soon after I bought it makes the rating much lower.

Want Viair 00073 70P Heavy Duty Portable Compressor Discount?

This pump measures up to what everyone has been saying about it. Great quality, compact size, VERY quiet for an air compressor, and it works fast, too. I like the carrying bag. I give it four stars because the cigarette lighter plug is designed for deep cigarette lighter outlets. I have a '94 Nissan Altima, and no matter what, the plug keeps popping out of the outlet. I have to either ask someone to hold the plug in while I use the pump or wedge a clip by my ashtray to keep it in. I really like the pump, so I'm going to keep it and shop for some kind of adapter. One more thing is that it would be nice if the bag had some kind of pocket to hold tip adapters (for pumping up sports balls, etc.... I don't really want to those to rattle around loose in the bag).

Added comment 6/2/09 -One reviewer mentioned that the screw-on attachment causes some air pressure to be lost from the tire after you fill it up. Although this attachment is very secure, I agree that it's a setback. However, I found the perfect solution: the Topeak Pressure-Rite Anit-Air Loss Connector. This thing is AWESOME. I got it for my bike tires, and it works great on car tires, too, which have identical valves. I highly recommend both the air pump and the pressure-rite adapter.

Also, in response to a couple of reviews, the gauge on my compressor works great.

Added comment 7/14/10 -Some people seem to be having trouble using the Topeak Pressure-Rite adapter with the Viair 70P because the threading on the adapter and the pump don't seem to match very well. Mine seems to work fine, although you do need to be a little careful when screwing it on. After attaching the Pressure-Rite adapter to the pump, I don't even bother removing it. It could be that the threading on one is metric and the other English, in which case a screw adapter would be ideal. I haven't checked the actual threading sizes, but I'll post an update if I find out. Also, it could be that not every individual product is the same, and some people could have better luck than others.

Keep in mind that the two products are made by different companies and were not specifically designed to be used together. However, I've been using them regularly to fill my bike and car tires for over a year now. When I screw the adapter onto the tire valve before turning the pump on, the pump will show zero pressure (note that this is with the adapter attached). When I turn the pump on, the pressure climbs quickly to the current pressure of the tire and then stabilizes. Then it climbs as the tire is being filled. The pressure that is displayed while it's filling is a little higher than the actual pressure. After I turn the pump off, I wait for the pressure to go down slightly to know what the actual pressure is.

When I unscrew the adapter from the tire valve, I can hear air leaking out. HOWEVER, this air does NOT appear to be coming from the tire, but it seems to be excess air coming out of the pump. I know this because when I check the tire pressure, it's what I expect it to be. Also, if I remove the adapter quickly enough, I can still hear air coming out even though the adapter is completely removed from the tire (which means that it's coming from the pump and not the tire). Like I said, I regularly use this to fill bike tires up to 100-120 psi. I go on numerous rides that are 50+ miles at 16+ mph. After learning how to use the pump properly (after just 1 or 2 tries), the only flat I ever got was when I was going through gravel in a bike lane. If there was a lot of air leaking out when I removed the adapter from the tire, the tire pressure would go down significantly, the tire itself would feel squishy and not rock solid, and I would get a lot more flats. This adapter is pretty much the only reason that I'm even capable of using the Viair 70P with bike tires because otherwise the screw-on attachment (without the adapter) would leak too much air when I removed it due to the high pressure in the tires. For car tires, though, it's probably not that big of a deal because they're only about 30 psi instead of 120 psi.

So in summary, the Topeak Pressure-Rite adapter is great addition to the Viair 70P, but it might take a little bit of getting used to.

Also, for the deep cigarette outlet issue, I found this adapter which works pretty well: Multi-Use Vehicle Charger with Dual USB Ports and Dual 12 Volt Sockets Magnadyne

K6000 Vehicle DVR Car Recorder DVR Road Dash Video Camera Recorder Traffic Dashboard with 2.7 Inch

K6000 Vehicle DVR Car Recorder DVR Road Dash Video Camera Recorder Traffic Dashboard with 2.7 Inch LPS Screen Full HD 1080P Night Vision 140 Degree A+ Wide Angle
  • High-definition, high -definition video
  • HOLD function
  • Supports high capacity TF card
  • Motion Detection
  • support auto ignition boot, turn off shutdown

[Edit: Warning. Other uses report getting either a perfect unit or a scratched, used one. First, verify there isn't a thin protective plastic that can be removed! Second, you might need to roll the dice and do an Amazon exchange if you get a bad one. IMO it's worth it for the low price. If you get a bad unit, make sure to post a negative review for the seller as well.]

Pros:

Very low price.

Has just the right set of features. Auto-power starts it recording, does automatic file rotation, visible timestamp, etc.

Reliably records without driver needing to worry about it. (Using it for a week now.)

Power cord is thin and long enough to make installation easy. The cord is 150 inches long. Thin is also important so it slides under car's interior trim. I installed without needing to remove any trim.

Fits *securely* behind mirror on my Mini Cooper using included suction cup. Driving a Mini in SF can be very jarring because of the roads and firm mini suspension; however, it hasn't fallen off.

"Low profile" device. Meaning it doesn't attract attention so your car gets broken into.

Customization is fairly easy and manual is close enough to native English to figure out. (First test is setting the day/time.)

Decent field-of-view without too much fisheye. See my posted video stills.

Can easily swap out microsd card without removing unit.

Timer to turn off LED screen so video doesn't show while driving.

No GPS nonsense. Why is this a feature? GPS isn't reliable without antenna AND consume more power.

Supports large, 32gb MicroSD card.

Cons:

Power plug is very large. This is the biggest issue for me. (See product photos)

It is NOT a night cam! You can see things in the car's headlights, but that's about it.

Product Improvement: I'd like it better if it was a standard USB plug and included a low profile cigarette lighter adaptor!

Slight buzz (bizt-bitz-bitz) in audio (as it writes to internal memory?) Not huge deal, might be related to MicroSD Card speed or the long power cable.

It has bright-white LED lighting option and I have no idea why. Seems useless. Just increases cost of unit.

It needs a plastic polarizing filter on the front of lens that can be rotated to remove window glare.

Power plug only fits into cigarette lighter.

Recommendations:

Buy a fast 32gb micro usb drive with this unit. Files are 1.25GB per 10min of HD footage. I purchased this one and it works:

SanDisk Ultra 32 GB microSDHC Class 10

User should increase clip size in settings so it saves 14 minutes at a time.

Firstly; this is not an HD dashcam! It's native resolution is 640x480, and it's interpolated (up-scaled) to HD.

Which means, if you look at the resulting video in a 640x480 frame, it looks great! If you look at it in full-screen (1080p), it looks quite poor.

If you want a good, basic dashcam to record everyday driving, this is it. But if you want something that can read license plates and produce true HD, then the DOD LS400 at about $150 is what you want.

I got this because there seems to be NO app for Android (even the one I paid for) that can give me good video, cycle over on top of the files and basically work right.

So I bought this, and it does seem to be good. Now it does not have GPS (which is good because it can stay on and not consume a lot of power when I have left it plugged in and parked and left my truck).

It does save in either 1 min, 2 min or 3 min or continuous video. They are all .AVI, so I have a mac and just select them all and open with VLC, which will keep playing them in the order of the file name. It does seem good.

There is only like .25 of a second when it goes to the next file name.

This is a lot for the little bit of money. Now don't EVER thing that a dash cam, with "infrared" LED lights could EVER show the outside in a good picture. It is impossible. You would need to have the IR LED's outside and way more than 2 or 4 or even 10 of them. Inside they would reflect of the windshield anyway.

This is a good deal for the money. Now at night, it will do so-so, not nearly as much resolution and very limited to what's in front of your vehicle by the head lights (say 20-30 feet), but on lighted streets the picture is ok. NOT crystal clear, as I could not make out my face when I got out of my truck and left it recording and it was night time. Think VGA 1M pixel resolution.

Daytime, as you can see, was ok. It is just as a 3rd party witness if anything (accident) was to happen.

Want K6000 Vehicle DVR Car Recorder DVR Road Dash Video Camera Recorder Traffic Dashboard with 2.7 Inch Discount?

This is a standard Chinese made dash cam. My first impressions when taking it out of the box was how light it was but I was expecting this considering the price. It works as expected, daytime quality is fine and so far after using it for about a month it still works.

A couple of cons however,

1) the battery out of the box I charged it until the little red charging indicator turned off indicating a full charge. I unplug it from the USB charge plug and turn on the camera. The little battery icon shows full charge at 3 bars. After 30 seconds, it suddenly goes to 1 bar and 30 seconds after that to 0 bars. Shortly afterwards, "Low battery" flashes across the screen and thats it. I got about 2 minutes of runtime off of the battery. Its probably faulty, but since this will be in my car plugged in all the time, its not a dealbreaker for me.

2) construction this thing feels cheap, but i'm able to forgive it if it does what its supposed to do. However after about 2 weeks of usage, the black front panel comes off. Turns out that the panel is glued on to the body of the camera and possibly it being warm in the car loosened the glue. My car is garaged and not left to bake in the sun so to me this is slightly unacceptable. However, the camera still works, for now.

Overall, for what I paid and compared to the nicer cameras out there, it's ok. No way am I expecting it to last for the lifetime of the car but If this thing gives me a year or two of service then I'll be satisfied. In this case you get what you pay for.

I'm not happy with this purchase, a first bad charger USB header communicates, the second does not work night mode. I don't know maybe I had gotten defective recorder or could all of this quality. I havent been able to send the product back.
