R310 2.7-inch 140 degrees Dual Lens dash board camera car dvr black box video recorder + gps logger

R310 2.7-inch 140 degrees Dual Lens dash board camera car dvr black box video recorder + gps logger
  • Dual Lens,Front lens: 140 wide-degree,Back lens: 120 wide-degree
  • Video resolution 640*480 30fps
  • GPS Module,Gravity Sensor
  • Adjust the position of the lens: its front/back lens can be rotated for 270 degree to the front or back

After having HD 720P 2.5-inch LCD Monitor CAR Dash Dashboard CAMERA Cam VEHICLE VIDEO Accident RECORDER DVR Support SD/MMC Memory Card : Up to 64GB about a year, and caught some good videos, I decide to get more car DVR for all my cars. Found this one, but I can not find any video from anywhere, so I decide to take my chance getting one to see how good the video quality is.

The setup is easy, video is excellent comparing to my previous car DVR, the GPS sensor is very sensitive, GPS function is very useful when you reviewing the video, it tell you exactly where your car was at exact time, 6 minutes video clip took about 360 MB, you will need large micro SD card for it.

I only gave four star because of the User Manual is really really bad, so far I only test single lens mode at day time, I did not test the other lens and night time yet, I will update my review after I done those.

I just notice Amazon change the product I wrote review on to another one, Amazon keep the same title, the product review I wrote was a football shape, totally different one, I do not own the current one, I do not know anything about the current one.

just found Amazon change the product picture back to the one I own and I wrote the review.

Buy R310 2.7-inch 140 degrees Dual Lens dash board camera car dvr black box video recorder + gps logger Now

I picked it up from the post office Friday (it came with postage due?) I had a chance to skim through the booklet Friday night and then put it in the car Saturday before heading out on some errands. It went up very easily and staying put. My unit came up in English so there was no fumbling through another language to set it up. I was able to finish the set up without looking back at the manual. My only set up issue was confusing the front and back cameras. This was quickly noticed in the screen when everyting was upside down and quickly fixed.

After a lot of driving on Saturday I finally had a chance to pull the SD card and watch some of the video on Sunday. The required video player isn't the best but it works fine. It provides options to view either camera by itself or both at the same time. It lets you switch between MPH and KPH. It let's you turn on or off the mapping feature. Most importantly though it lets you save the file to your computer so that you can use it with other programs if you decide you want to and can use the AVI format it's in.

My experience was that the video was good. Not good enough to read road signs or liscense plate numbers, but otherwise clear. It is important to keep your windshield clean or glare will affect the image. I thought the rear-facing camera provided a good image as well. I'd prefer a camera with a zoom lens to provide a better view out of the rear window as opposed to inside the car, but it's still a good image. I haven't played with the volume a lot, but my first few attempts had very low audio.

The GPS and Google map feature worked very well. It provided accurate location and speed information. I can't imagine needing more mapping information than it provides. If you intend to use this as evidence in case of an accident, keep in mind that if you use the GPS feature it will capture your speed. As long as you're not speeding at the time of the accident the video will help you. If you like to speed though you might want to think about not capturing the GPS information.

It looks like it creates a fairly large file size. I'm using a 32GB class 6 card. The video recording smoothly and without any choppiness. It's very easy to start a new file while driving to make it easier to identify important files you wish to keep and to reduce file size. As long as you lock important video files before it over-rights them a 32GB card should cover a lot of driving.

The only thing that bothers me a little is that I drive more than one vehicle. If the camera is installed nicely with the wires run out of the way and out of site it's not quick or easy to switch it from one vehicle to another. But then again, at this price it's probably cheaper to buy a second kit than to try to track down a second GPS and Power cord that could be left in the second vehicle.

Overall, after one weekend with the product I'm very happy with what the product does and how it does it for the money.

You're not going to find a better dashboard camera for this price anywhere. The picture quality is excellent, similar to the video posted in the other review. I am amazed at the features packed into this product, particularly considering the price: dual lens camera, gps tracking and g-force sensor. The application used to view back the videos is easy to use and links to google maps to sync the video to your location. The rear-facing lens has some kind of light sensors, or something, that provide a night-vision effect for the video inside the vehicle.

My only two minor cons on this product are: First, as others have noted, the instruction manual is obviously translated from Chinese so it takes a little bit of effort to figure out what some of the instructions mean. Not a big deal, just requires a little playing around with it and you can figure it out. Second, getting the micro SD card out could be easier; it basically requires a pair of tweezers. But, even considering these two minor issues I would still give this 5 stars based on all of the features you get for this great price.

Want R310 2.7-inch 140 degrees Dual Lens dash board camera car dvr black box video recorder + gps logger Discount?

I narrowed my car cam to 3 choices available on amazon. I purchased this first because it was the cheapest with the most features. I liked that it had dual (front and rear) cameras, GPS speed and location tracking, G-force sensors, automatic on-off, and built-in screen for real-time monitoring or reviewing previous recordings. After using this for 3 days, here is what I found out:

Pros:

1. Suction cup works in freezing temperatures. Just make sure it's clean before installing.

2. Once set up, car cam is easy to use. If plugged into the car accessory outlet, it can automatically turn itself on and off when the car turns on and off.

3. Video is as clear as a Non-HD camera will give you. Because it gives a nice Wide-field view, it will not allow details such as license plate numbers.

4. After formatting a micro-SD card, the unit will auto copy the required JPlayer onto the card. After inserting into your computer, double click the JPlayer.exe file on the card (or copy it to your desktop) It works on my Win7 computer. Use of the JPlayer is mostly intuitive.

5. The unit is smaller than I expected (similar size to a toilet paper roll).

6. Sound is as clear as I expected considering background radio and road noises.

7. Can record Front or Rear Only, or both at the same time. Recording can be turned on/off manually if needed.

8. GPS (when it works) gives helpful info about speed, location and tracking on a mini Google map in the player.

9. G-Sensor is interesting but not that helpful unless in a crash or high speed turns, etc.

10. Built-in monitor screen is needed for setup, but I prefer it off during use so not to distract when driving. This could be helpful to review a recording if needed on site of an accident. I prefer to view on the computer.

Cons:

1. User Manual is difficult to understand. You need to read the entire 7 pages before attempting to use this item.

2. Unit is made in China, but comes in Russian as default language. Following manual will allow you to press the appropriate buttons blindly until the language is changed to english. Then all menu items will be obvious.

3. Screen default is to time-out around 10 seconds. This makes it difficult to play with when new. You can change this in the menu to stay on. After you know how to work the unit, you can change it back to screen saver.

4. GPS features give very helpful information such as location, speed, and tracking on a map. But it takes up to 30 seconds to work, or sometimes not at all (at night for me). The speed is about 5 seconds delayed from what the video is showing, so it is not exactly real-time.

5. JPlayer but could be designed better. The "Large size display" button makes it 50% larger for me, not full screen as I would expect. This may also depend upon your monitor screen resolution.

6. JPlayer shows a map of a chinese city as default if your GPS did not work during the video recording.

7. Time zone is incorrect, no option to change it.

8. My video played well, but takes a long time (~30sec) to manually jump to another file on the card. I hope this is because I did not use the recommended class 6 card speed. I ordered a new ($23) 32gb class 10 card to hopefully fix this.

9. Four LED Infrared lighting for the rear camera is focused into a narrow spot in the center, about 1/10 of screen area. This allows a night view inside the car, but could be much better if spread out more (poor design).

Overall I like this and plan to purchase another one for my other car. I give it 5 stars for overall value, minus 1 star for poor manual and requiring a special JPlayer to view videos.

3/21/2013 Update

Using a 32gb class 10 card made all the difference. No more delays jumping from one video to another during viewing.

I forgot to mention that you can export the video and snap a photo, but it takes a long time for the video and does not show extra features like GPS or speed info.

This is a good little camera for the price, but I have had the GPS go out on me and I agree with everyone else about the instructions being ridiculously bad.

I would buy it again for the camera alone. The GPS function shouldn't be counted on.

This item worked for about 2 months, then self destructed. So if you want to contribute to global clutter in the trash bin buy it, toss it, buy another!

UPDATE: From 4 stars down to 2.

I bought a second one of these 8 months after the first one. Neither looks like the photo, nor do they look like each other. The first one charged my Garmin exactly as expected however, the one I just received puts the GPS into USB mode. So it seems like luck of the draw which kind you'll get.

See my comment on this review for a possible solution to forcing the Garmin out of USB mode.

Original review:

I bought this for my Nuvi 650. I was a bit nervous since the reviews of other cheap chargers said they put the GPS in USB mode and made it unusable while charging, but I had no such problem. It is a bit tight in the 12V outlet like another reviewer mentioned. Part of the cord is coiled, so be aware if your outlet is exceptionally far from your dashboard. I just had to stretch mine out a few times to loosen it up.

This lasted 8 months before the metal connector plugged into the side of the GPS snapped away from the wire casing after it fell to the floor one too many times. (Those beanbag friction mounts are pretty decent, but make sure to either dust off your dash first or exercise your lightning-fast reflexes if you've got sharp turns coming up.)

It works great. The only problem is the part that fits into the cigarette lighter is way too tight. It feels like I will tear the lighter out if I am not careful.

Peak PKC0CU 4/12/25 Amp Intelligent Battery Charger

Peak PKC0CU 4/12/25 Amp Intelligent Battery ChargerBought this charger to charge my rv deep cycle batteries. Charger is light weight compared to my other chargers. Convenient storage compartment for cables. Worked just great. Would recommend to anyone.

Like other customers, I experience a stalled charger, exhibiting an F05 error, which means the battery is bad. However . . . there's nothing wrong with this new battery. The problem is the charger. It works fine for a day or two, then gets stuck with an F05 error. People not keeping an eye on the chargers will find themselves with a dead battery at the end of winter. Only way it works is to 1) unplug it, then plug it back in so it starts over, or 2) return it for a different brand that actually works. I'm going with #2.

Black & Decker CP120B 20-Watt Power Backup Battery Pack

Black & Decker CP120B 20-Watt Power Backup Battery PackOk, I give it 5 stars although out of four I bought, two would not charge properly, but at 3.99 it was worth the extra effort to get them going. Here is the problem with some of these, the batteries have been sitting a while, so after you charge it for a few minutes, some of these may show they are charged, even though they are not. The batteries need to be cycled in these and all of mine have come back to life. Here is what you can do to help bring them back...

1) Charge unit until LED goes green (with a battery that needs to be cycled, it may show its charged after a few minutes. With battery that is in good shape and being dead, it should take around 4 hours to charge)

2) Unplug charger and turn on unit. It may go dead after a few minutes, thats OK. After it shuts itself off, wait 10 minutes.

Repeat the steps above and it should come back to life. The most I repeated the above steps were 4 times before it accepted a full charge, and all mine work now. Hope this helps someone if theirs does not take a proper charge...

Two weeks ago I purchased this Black and Decker product from my local CVS store in California. Brand-new, out of the package it wouldn't work. I felt reassured that at least it had a two year warranty, and was a "name brand" of Black and Decker. I was shocked when I phoned the Black and Decker service center in Texas, the 800-544-6986 that was included with the warranty info, ...and they told me that since the item had been manufactured three years earlier (there was a 2007 date-sticker on product), and since this product had been discontinued by Black and Decker, they could not honor the warranty for repair or replacement.

I informed the Black and Decker service-center manager [Anita] that it was not legal for Black and Decker to claim "no responsibility" for their warranty, and they couldn't refuse to honor their warranty just because they discontinued the item, (particularly because I had just purchased it two weeks prior, & had my receipt). She then gave me a local Black and Decker service-center phone number in California, where the representative ("Dave") informed me that because the item was discontinued by Black and Decker, "I was out of luck", and there was nothing they could do. It was just suggested I return the item to the store.

Beware consumers! Black and Decker is setting new precedents in skirting their legal responsibilities regarding honoring their product-warranties. It seems that since the volume of complaints are so high regarding Black and Decker products, not much attention is being paid to this negligence on Black and Decker's part, (and who has the time and money to bring a "breach of warranty" case to court, for a $50. item?)

After this experience I will never again have confidence in the Black and Decker name, and I urge you to consider researching consumer-complaints about this company's customer-service, before purchasing Black and Decker products.

I, too, think this battery pack works GREAT! I tried it for my Blackberry (I let it run down as low as it would go without it shutting off) and it charged my Blackberry enough for a whole day's use, and then some. A week went by without my charging up the B&D Pocket Power before I used it again, this time on my iPod. It was still able to charge my 80GB iPod. I use my iPod for music AND videos and, with the charge from Pocket Power, I even had enough battery power to watch my videos, which is energy-intensive. I have even tried charging my Canon EOS camera battery and it extended my use of the camera. I am buying another one for my trips to Europe -not every hotel room there is equipped with as many outlets as we enjoy here and a travelling family can only stay up so long in the evenings vying for outlets to charge their electronics. It's not that heavy or bulky to take. However, despite all my accolades, remember that the sole function of this is as a BACK-UP (note the emphasis on back-up!); you should keep it fully charged when you have the opportunity to (because it does take many hours to charge) for those times in a pinch when you need it to charge something else that you forgot or didn't have the opportunity to. Hey, life's a juggling act -it would be remiss of me to say that a little 5x3x1 box will end all our electronics charging woes!

Kicker 09ZCK4 Z-Series 4AWG Amplifier Kit with 2-Channel Interconnects ROHS Compliant

Kicker 09ZCK4 Z-Series 4AWG Amplifier Kit with 2-Channel Interconnects ROHS Compliant
  • Complete kits with Direct-Control components
  • Comes with Signal cables and 16 AWG Super Twist Speaker Wire

Great amp kit. Love this wiring kit so much I bought two of them. Instead of using cheap copper clad aluminum wire like most kits are using now this kit does not. Kicker doesn't cheap out and that's why this kit is more expensive. I wish that it would be mentioned in the product description. Kicker uses silver tinned pure copper wire that's 100% oxygen free. So not only does the silver prevent oxidation on the copper wire it increases the conductivity and lowers the resistance even more allowing more power to flow and more bass!! Have this hooked up to my zx1000.1 powering my solo baric L7. So loud you cant even breath inside the car.

Stanley GBCPRO Golf Cart & Vehicle Battery Charger

Stanley GBCPRO Golf Cart & Vehicle Battery ChargerI have a Club Car golf cart and wanted a backup battery charger for it in case the original charger had any problems. The fact that the GBCPRO is advertised as being able to charge golf carts as well as other lower voltage applications including common 12v batteries, I ordered one.

The package arrived in good condition. I unpacked the GBCPRO and was immediately impressed with the different adapter plugs and leads that came with it. I read through the manual then decided to charge a deep cycle 12v marine battery I have. The battery charged fine in about 8 hours and the GBCPRO switched to maintenance mode as the manual stated. So far so good.

The problems started when I tried charging my 48v Club Car golf cart. I installed the three prong round adapter plug appropriate for the Club Car's charge receptacle, plugged in the power cord for the GBCPRO, then plugged the charge cord into the golf cart. The GBCPRO successfully detected the 48v battery system in the cart, I switched the charger to wet cell mode, then pressed the charge button. After about 20 seconds the GBCPRO indicated the golf cart had a full charge which I know it did not. I double-checked the golf cart's batteries with my Fluke digital multimeter and the batteries were only at 45v. I tried several more times with the same results. When I used the voltage button on the GBCPRO, it said my golf cart batteries were at 56.5v which they were not.

I then tried the ring terminal adapter cable to connect the GBCPRO directly to the golf cart batteries without using the round golf cart plug adapter. The GBCPRO did detetct the 48v battery system, charged for about 30 minutes, then indicated a full charge. However the cart's batteries were still only at 45v.

I figured the GBCPRO wasn't going to help me with my golf cart but I was still satisfied as it did a fine job with the 12v deep cycle battery I had charged earlier. Unfortunately about two weeks later when I tried charging the same 12v deep cycle battery again, the GBCPRO made a loud pop sound after only about 30 seconds of charging and I could smell an electrical burning smell emitting from the GBCPRO.

The GBCPRO is back on its way to Amazon for a refund. Since purchasing it I've also read a few other's experiences with the GBCPRO on a golf cart message forum that were similar to mine. I guess that is the reason they seem to be priced for clearance. I tried calling the support number included in the manual several times but all I got was a message that they were closed for the holiday though there has been no common holiday for several weeks.

I had an industrial battery charger go bad on my boom lift. Every replacement I could find was at least $300 many were $400. Additionally, many of them were rated for a lower amperage. The Stanley charger does a great job charging my 4 6v deep cycles. It was about the same price as many other 12v chargers but with the flexibility to charge almost system. The only draw back to this charger is that I have to set the battery type and tell it to perform a fast charge every time I plug it in. This is only a drawback because I use it for work almost every day but I still think it is not worth four time the money just so that I wouldn't have to press the buttons every time.

If you need a charger for atvs, golf carts, cars or industrial equipment I would definitely recommend this one.

Samsung Infuse 4G Combo Rapid Car Charger + Home Wall Charger + USB Data Charge Sync Cable for Sams

Samsung Infuse 4G Combo Rapid Car Charger + Home Wall Charger + USB Data Charge Sync Cable for Samsung Infuse 4GThis supplier really impressed me. When I first got the order neither AC charger worked. So I just trashed them and left a one star review. I figured for the price it was not worth the effort to complain or seek a refund.

Now here comes the impressive part!

Not 30 minutes after my one star review did my phone ring and it was customer service from Lower Price USA. They offered to either replace the defective chargers or refund my money and I did not even have to return the defective units. I opted to have the chargers replaced. They mailed the replacements out that same day and 2 days latter I had my new chargers. Both work perfectly.

In this day and age of the "buyer beware" all the time it is such a pleasure to find a company who actually cares. Well done Lower Price USA! You have a customer for life now.

The charger just freezes up my home screen. You can not operate the phone at all with the charger plugged in. It makes my phone home screen bounce around as if the phone was being damaged. Do not buy this!

Although the package arrived quickly, 2 items don't work at all. The car charger doesn't charge (no charging sign on my Infuse4G); the wall charger freezes the smartphone screen and randomly launches various apps. Yamaha 13-Inch ATV Remote Control

Yamaha 13-Inch ATV Remote ControlI knew that this was the right toy for my grandkids when they ran it down a full flight of stairs on its maiden voyage---it survived with flying colors! This thing is indestructible, and has survived dozens and dozens of crashes and still runs perfectly!

Don't expect things like incremental steering and variable throttle for 20 dollars. The throttle is essentially an on/off switch, so one must "bump" the throttle to control the speed in forward and reverse. Same with the steering: it's either full left or full right, with a detent to keep it going straight. The details and scale of the toy is quite remarkable. The driver is easily removed from the ATV and can be dressed in 1:6 doll clothes if you desire. The 4 AAA batteries last for quite some time. I also appreciate the fact that the 4 rubber tires hit the furniture before the body parts, saving both the ATV and the furniture from damage.

I can't believe the two other reviewers: One complains that it's too slow, and the other that they paid too much! (As if the latter has anything to do with quality.) This toy is 20 bucks at Wal-Mart; did you expect a high-end gas-powered RC car?

All in all, this is an excellent choice for a child's RC car: durable, reliable, sturdy, and attractive.

We got this for my 4-year-old for Christmas and so far its been great. Its not too fast for him and not to slow. The plastic piece that holds the antenna did break off at the fender, but we just bent it forward under the handlebar on one side and it still gets a great signal. Have not tried it outside yet, but it works great in the house and the r/c control is just the right size for his little hands.

Delphi SA10101 SKYFi2 XM Satellite Radio Receiver and Remote ControlI was lucky I found the skyfi 2 this past weekend at a local store. The Skyfi 2 is an improvement in the Skyfi 1 in many ways. The Skyfi 2 has better sound and can be played in your existing car and home boombox cradle. From the beginning you will notice the sound is louder on this one than it is on the skyfi 1.I don't have to cut the volume up as loud now on my boombox as I did with my skyfi 1.The Skyfi 2 also comes with a brighter light for viewing during sunny weather.I can actually see this now when the sun is bright in my car I can still read it.The skyfi 2 has a choice of 2 colors.Black on White which is recommended when driving in bright sunlight or White On Black which looks kind of blue and not as bright but you can still adjust the brightness on both colors in the menu screen. This thing is really bright at night unless you lower the brightness. The Skyfi 2 also has a sport and stock ticker. You can see sports scores or stocks scrolling under the artist and song info.I'm hoping Delphi will add weather as well to this. The skyfi 2 is the first reciever to feature extended titles. If you have the scroll on which is in the menu the song will start out at 16 characters but go to 30 something depending on song.Note the scroll for extended titles isn't the same thing as having the artist and song scroll across in big letters. The scroll for extended titles is in the menu you can cut it on or off it just scrolls the longer titles to extended ones. The song artist big letter scroll is in the display mode you can pick between this and other ways to see the song artist info. This makes the reciever look better similar to Sirius reciever. The skyfi 2 also has a unique feature. It has an Fm modulator inside the unit. When you put it in your car cradle it will turn on.You can cut it off in the menu if you want to but this thing has over 6-12 frequencies. It features the lower frequencies 88-89 and the higher ones 106-107.This thing sounds much better than my wired mod in my car. Also this unit features a record feature. You do nothing it automatically records from the time you cut it on.This is a first for an xmreciever. Also you could put 20 favorite stations in the skyfi 1 you can put 30 in this one. Here is a summery of this unit. Also you can view info 4 ways on the reciever. You can still activate it to scroll in big letters if your at a distance. You can have just the song and artist like the skyfi 1 featured,You can have artist, song and stocks or you can choose artist, song and sports.

Pro's

Extended Titles-This is the only xm reciever to feature this but it will eventually be available in newer models too.XM is just starting to get into listing more than 16 characters for artist and song.

Brighter Light for viewing in bright sunlight. It doesn't get washed out.

Stock Tickers and Sports Scores Note you must go into the menu and pick your favorite stocks and sports teams.

Better Sound

Built In Fm Modulator and it lets you choose over 6 frequencies. Also although xm recommends you buy the new car cradle it works fine with the old car cradle.

30 Presets features A,B and C were you can put at least 10 channels on each.

Pause and Record Feature-The Skyfi 2 automatically starts to record when you cut it on.You don't have to do anything not even pause. If you want to hear a song again that you liked real good or missed when you was away from the reciever you can just hit the reverse arrow. It can hold up to 30 minutes of songs. You can also go foward by hitting the foward arrow. If you want to hear live programming what is playing now just hold the foward arrow it will then beep and display live on the top.Note once you cut it off all memory will be lost. When you cut it back on it starts to record again from the first song. This is a great feature to have if your reciever is in the house and you have to go outside for something. When you come back in you can just push the back arrow and go back to the songs. And the recorded songs sound live you can't tell a difference in sound quality. You can also pause the music if you want to.

The Skyfi 2 features a clock. You can either view it in 12 or 24 hr time.

The Skyfi 2 can also alert you when your favorite artist or song is on.For example if your favorite artist on Sunny channel 24 is Percy Faith if your on another channel you will hear a beep when they play Percy Faith. You can put at least 10 favorite artist or songs in.

The Skyfi 2 is lighter than the Skyfi 1.Even thou their the same size the Skyfi 2 isn't as heavy as the Skyfi 1.

The Skyfi 2 comes with a remote.Note the skyfi 1's remote will also work on the skyfi 2 if you want to cut up or down the volume, change channel or put in numbers. The sky 2's remote has additionel keys and different batteries.

Cons

It doesn't feature a variety of colors for your mood like the roady 2 does.

Even thou it says you can pick it up on any Fm radio inside the house you can't.The Fm mod only works on the car cradle. It's not in the menu when it's on the boombox.

The sky 2 remote is heavier and takes 2 aa battaries instead of a long life lithium like the sky 1 remote. Also the sky 2 remote is slightley larger than the sky 1.

The skyfi 2 is worth the extra money.I highley recommend it.

I also recommend the protective satellite radio reciever case which is cheap to keep this in.It will protect the lcd screen from scratches.

Also Xm has an emergency channel on 247 which monitors tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanos, floods, blizzards etc.It came in handy this past summer with the Florida Hurricanes and this Fall with the eruption of Mount Saint Helens. They give evacuation routes, watches, warnings, school and business closings and other info. This is yet another reason to get xm.

Well what can I say, XM has done it again! If you're looking for a receiver which gives you the abilit to pause play, rewind or go forward (all up to 30 minutes) then this is the player for you! You know when you're listening to that one part of a song or news that's important and someone starts talking or the phone rings? Well with this receiver you'll never miss one second as you just hit the pause button and it'll pause the program until you return (just like TiVo or Recorder Box), and you can skip by the commercials (few there are) in playback until you get to the LIVE feed again.

The screen gives you two colors, black letters on white or white letters on black background. My opinion is that I liked the original SkyFi Amber color better than the Black/white or white/black. However many had a problem seeing it in the daylight (I personally did not).

There is a "ticker" at the bottom of the screen. Meaning you can program the receiver to scroll across the bottom of the screen current stock quotes, or sports scores and game times for all major teams and college. Even Golf!

There is clock in the upper right corner which allows regular or military time. All you do is set it to your time zone (Eastern, West, etc.) and if your area follows daylight savings, and then XM Satellites do the rest in adjusting the time! You'll always have the current time beamed down to your radio!

You can set it to broadcast to a nearby FM radio. Meaning you can have this receiver in your bedroom playing, and have it set to a frequency (there are many to choose from) on your FM radio so that you can hear it on your FM radio in the kitchen or other room! This litle box will actually broadcast to an FM radio!

And look at the prices! Amazon's are the lowest around! Look even closer and the this SkyFi2 is ten dollars more than the original SkyFi Amazon has. At these prices I don't see how Amazon makes any profit!

And it keeps going and going with no problems. Meaning, when I first got this from Amazon, the following day I came down with the Flu. I had it playing soft/easy music in my bedroom for well over 48 hours while I layed in bed with the flu. Non stop for over 2 days and at no time did the screen get "hot" and have problems nor did the radio turn itself off from overheating.

Plus you get a nifty remote that's a bit larger and more comfortable in the hand than the original SkyFi. And there's a metal clip you can attach to clip onto your pants/belt. Remote has good range, comes in handy when you don't want to get up to adjust the volume (included) or do just about anything other than menu functions (changing color, ticker, etc.). Two AAA batteries are included with the remote.

What you will need with this (just like the original SkyFi) is with the homekit (to hook to your stereo) or boombox (has antenna, and all). Just make sure when you order them that it's for XM radio as the Sirius Satellite parts will not work with XM.

If you're looking for a XM Receiver with lots of "toys" to play around with, adjusting it to see various things, then this one is for you. You'll spend hours customizing the screen to your exact color, darkness, brightness, contrast, selection of ticker stock quotes or sports teams, etc.

When I first read about Satellite Radio I said to myself "why would anyone pay for something that's free on the radio," but trust me there is a BIG difference! Sond quality is much better, there are little to no commercials (commercials are on the Old Time Radio and Sonic but are few) and you can zero in to listen to the exact type of music you want to. Not listen to your radio for hours upon hours for the genre songs you like. And if talk radio is your thing, especially LIVE shows, then Satellite is what you want. Especially if you live in parts of the country where you have one or no talk stations. XM gives you 5 talk stations. With G Gordon Liddy and Dr. Laura coming in Feb. 2005. And if baseball (Major) is your thing, well XM has an 11 year contract with MLB to carry each and every game starting with spring training to the world series! And with no additional cost to the $9.99 fee!

I bought this unit on-line literally within minutes of hearing about it. TiVo does that to people; you begin to expect to be able to pause or rewind just about anything around you. Now, if it could only pause and fast-forward live people talking...click, click.

This reciever answers that need for satellite radio...almost. Sadly, it does not contain or allow an external hard drive chip to record songs permanently when your 30 minutes are up or the unit is shut off, the songs stored in memory are gone forever. Also, the forward and reverse buttons can only skip one song at a time to get to the front or back of the ever changing 30 minute memory, you must push the desired direction button many times to skip through all the songs.

The unit does have a built in FM transmitter, but it only works while installed on the home or auto cradle, NOT the boombox. Since the manual fails to mention this, and it being entirely illogical as to why they would remove this function only for the boombox, I wound up having to find this out from their technical help line.

Until music and electronics manufacturers eventually stumble upon the concept of a magic 'BUY' button, which would record (or instantly download) the song playing to a removable hard drive or chip, along with relevant title and artist info, we are destined to be satisfied for now with small incremental steps in that direction that receivers like this bring. This unit is a rather significant and appreciated step to that end, nonetheless.

Also not published in any of the manuals is a diagnostic mode for the receiver that can be a great aid in aiming the antenna. Briefly, to enter the diagnostic mode:

Make sure your receiver is off.

Press these keys in order: 2 0 7 XM (button in the middle of the wheel on the SkyFi)

Press Display 3 times to cycle through the normal displays to the first Diagnostic screen.

SkyFi Screen 1

SAT1: East Satellite at 85 degrees west longitude.

SAT2: West Satellite at 115 degrees west longitude.

TERR: Terrestrial Repeater signal

DEMOD: A check mark means you have demodulator lock. This means the receiver is locked on the signal from that source.

TDM: A check mark means you are synchronized with the Time Division Multiplexed signal from that source.

BER %: Percentage Bit Error Rate. This is the percentage of received data bits in error. For satellite this value should be less than 3% for error free audio. For terrestrial, it should be below 6%.

AGC: Automatic Gain Control Level. This is an indication of the amount of internal gain needed to recover the signal. The more negative, the higher the signal being received.

SkyFi Screen 2

BER: Raw Bit Error Rate. This is the number of received data bits in error. This value divided by the maximum number of errors in a measurement interval is the BER % on Screen 1. Max number for SAT1 and SAT2 is 5440. Max for TERR is 6800.

AGC: Same as on Screen 1.

C/N: Signal to Noise Ratio measured as Carrier Power divided by Noise Power. For SATs, this value needs to be greater than 7. It does not apply for TERR. This is a good satellite antenna pointing indicator.

RSBK and RSBY: Reed Solomon Block and Byte Errors. They should be 0.

I have the SKYFI2 hooked up to my home stereo and am impressed with how easy it was to get it working. While the sound isn't CD quality I wasn't expecting it to be. It's on a par with FM but the music choices are 1000x better. XM has great music channels and I haven't listened to the radio at home since I bought this. I like the display and the artist and song titles. The remote works great and the FM modulation works well even in the crowded Washington DC airwaves. If you're interested in XM you can't go wrong with the SKYFI2.

I ordered the radio specifically to use for a road trip to Phoenix which has in the past required three changes of radio stations and the playing of two CDs to travel through a 'no airwaves' zone. What a pleasure to listen to quality radio for the entire 450 miles.

The vehicle hook-up was very easy, and I just placed the antenna on the dashboard near the front window and had absolutely no interferance. Moving the setup from car to car has been extremely easy so if you travel a lot, you can set it up in a rental car in minutes and never miss a beat.

NEW Remote Control Car Vehicle camera DVR 8 LED night vision Dashboard Camera DVR With motion detection S186
  • Portable Mini Car DVR with 2.5" TFT LCD Screen; 8 LED IR night
  • motion detection;with Remote Control can power off and power on,recoder.menu operate
  • Image sensor: 3 million pixel color CMOS Sensor; Recording resolution:640*480/320*240/1280*960 pixels ( can set 1280*960,but it is not Full HD.Recommend 640*480)
  • Video Format: AVI file format 30fps;Support SD/HC Cards: Up to 32GB
  • Visual angle: 120-degree wide-angle;

when i first got this camera(shipped to USA) it was set to Portuguese, why Portuguese? after having to google what the Portuguese word for 'language' is, i was finally able to get the menu to be in English. there is an HDMI-shaped hole in the body of the camera allowing dirt to get inside the device. it occasionally flickers from over-exposed to under-exposed at about 2Hz for no apparent reason. inferior video quality, you can't even make a guess at a license plate even if you're inches away from it. nearly impossible to get the SD card in and out of the slot, you need to take a penny or something and push it so the card can pop out. you lose about 6 seconds of possibly vital footage between each file.

worst of all, IT TURNS OFF FOR NO REASON WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING, imagine how much it would suck if you get in an accident that's not you're fault and then realize your camera decided to turn off 5 minutes before.

Gorilla Automotive 8007 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote Transmitter

Gorilla Automotive 8007 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote TransmitterI did a lot of research before buying an alarm for my second bike, searching reviews on MC web sites.

I wanted a quality made product, easy to install in cramped motorcycle spaces, and one that had tilt, shock, and electrical circuit change alarm triggering features. I was NOT interested in gimicky pager features, either one way or two way, and wanted to avoid any form of bulky transmitter gear to put in my motorcycle clothing pockets.

This alarm is made in Japan, has excellent ENGLISH documentation, an excellent warranty, and real human beings on the customer support line that are experts. I spoke with these folks with some questions before purchasing this alarm, getting right through on the telephone with no voice menus. I got good, informed answers from a real expert.

Packaging is excellent, and Amazon had it to me in two days. The installation was extremely simple, with only two wires to connect to the battery terminals, and lots of length to all quality connections and wiring. The compact size of the alarm made for easy location under the seat, and I put the LED warning light at the rear of the bike, although for the installation challenged the LED does NOT have to be installed for the alarm to function.

I was surprised in completing installation in less than 20 minutes, and then it was time to test and configure the alarm according to the included manual. That was a simple 5 minute process, and the test of the single chirp (warning, don't touch me), the shock alarm, and the tilt alarm (for when a thief moves the bike upright from the side stand) all worked flawlessly.

I can't recommend this alarm enough. If you later decide you want to add a pager feature, you simply purchase that device and plug it in to "upgrade" your alarm.

I decide to bought this alarm for my Honda Stunner 125, the idea was to have an alarm that protect my motorcycle when left alone, I didn't want one alarm that stop the motorcycle if someone try steal it when I'm riding on it since sometimes thiefs return and kill you (better my bike than my life).

The installations was easy really easy, except for the part of the sensor that detects if someone pulled upright your motorcycle, the other thing somewhat dificult to install was the led warning because I put it on the handlebar. I place the alarm unit and other components under the sit really easy.

One thing you must be very careful is if you don't use your motorcycle on a daily basic, the alarm will drain your battery, to avoid this I decide to disconect the fuse, so I turn it on connecting the alarm fuse, the only problem will be that you will have to program the remote transmitter when you connect it (no big deal).

Features

* Powerful five-tone, adjustable 120db Piezo siren

* 3-button remote transmitter operation (just one, this is really sad)

* 3 sensors included tilt, shock and current sensors

* Adjustable shock sensor with seven levels of sensitivity to match your surroundings

* Programmable five-tone siren allows you to pick the siren tone you want

* Warn away mode sounds warning prior to full alarm activation (nice to save your battery)

* Panic feature enables you to activate the alarm siren from up to 100 ft away

* LED warning light for system status and theft deterrent

* Two-way pager system compatible (sold separately saddly, but nice to know you can improve your alarm)

I have had this item for a month now and it works fine, took about 10 minutes to install and the remote and tilt sensor work perfectly. The alarm itself is very loud but when I put on the seat (i keep it under the seat) its not THAT loud, I am thinking of repositioning it but it defiantly works as advertised. As for vibration, mine is strapped down pretty good and my bike doesn't really vibrate much so I dont see vibration destroying it. I have had it for about 2000 miles now and its still like new.

This alarm is great, its easy to install. Took me 15 minutes to install, with taking off panels on my moped, and doing a clean job.Very loud. And has a pretty long range, at least 100 feet,is when I disarm it when I come out of my condo door.Mount the led lite where it can be seen,I mounted mine above the key switch. The only thing I wish that they would add is a silent arming feature,I knew that it did not state it had silent arming, but you cant have everything. For the money its a simple, but solid alarm, not like the cheap ones for 40 bucks that has remote start and all the things that you dont really need on a motor cycle or a moped for that matter.I will buy another one for my next bike for sure.Hope this helps you Make your mind up on a alarm system.Ps try and beat the price on Amazon, good luck!
