As soon as I plugged the in wallcharger, my phone started freezing and launching random applications. I've noticed my phone acting a bit weird now, even after a restart. It appears like my phone is damaged, and damage from crappy third party chargers are not covered under warranty. I am absolutely furious, the wasted money on the chargers pales in comparison to the damage done to my phone. Didn't try the car charger because I don't want my car to erupt in flames from these faulty products. After four 1-star reviews I can't believe this company is still selling people these and letting them ruin their phone. Shame shame.

The car charged works just fine. So the car charger for the price is not bad. The wall charger has too much voltage for the droid 2. It causes the droid to become unstable and generates random inputs to the touch screen. This may likely cause damage to the unit.

Used the wall charger for both my Droid and my wifes Droid2, during charging the device is almost unusable! My phone and hers kept on randomly opening programs, the screen jittered constantly and eventually we had to unplug the charger and reboot the phone to get it to function.

I hope the charger didn't do any permenant damage as my wifes Droid2 is now acting quite strange (tried calling her after this and she couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her). After ANOTHER reboot of the phone it could make and recieve calls correctly but as I said has been acting a little strange (could just be motorola bugs..but you never know)

Havent tried the car charger yet and am not sure we are even going to try it out for fear it will do the same thing.

This item is basically worthless. Pieces of junk literally. The wall charger worked for about 2 minutes. The car charger worked but only charged 5 percent in an hour, but when I took it out of the port in the car it fell apart.

I was skeptical about this item because it's so inexpensive that I thought, how good can it be? Well, it's marvelous. I ordered one about a year ago and it has worked wonders in my car, where I use my phone as a GPS. It lasted very well until my 4 year old nephew got hold of it and twisted it using the plastic part, which separated, so it could no longer be used (not his fault, he was just trying to look closely at it) so I ordered another one and it's still just as wonderful. In fact, I'm going to get another one for my husband, whether he likes it or not :-) It will fit just about any phone from an iPhone to a Galaxy Epic Touch, to an Evo it just expands to fit any phone. It used to be mounted on my windshield, but I've now put it on my dashboard. There are more expensive items out there, yes, but I can't see how they'd do a better job. One of the best buys I've made. Please be aware though that not all the car mounts you buy from this particular product link are like the one in the photo. I just ordered one from this site and it was the same KIND of thing, i.e. it was a car mount, but it was NOT the same one in the photo, and this arrived broken, poorly packed so make sure you examine the one you get. The arm on this one is shorter, so even if it wasn't broken, I still wouldn't want it. The one I originally got was from Boho Tronics and that one has quite a long arm so you can move the phone wherever you want. In my opinion, make sure you get from Boho Tronics as you can trust them that they'll send you this exact product. It's a really great accessory if you use your phone as a GPS.

UPDATE: One of our employees liked it so much we got him one and I'm ordering yet another one or two for our company vehicles and I'm getting my husband one too. LOVE IT! And Boho Tronics is the best place to get this from cheapest and most reliable.

I ordered this item before me and my husband go on vacation...lots and lots of driving. We needed something to hold our phones for our long trip. When I opened this item and started putting it together it is loose. I added some super glue to the back of the phone holder and now it is in place and I have no worries this will get the job done. If I didn't add the glue I'm sure our phones would be falling off the entire trip. You get what you pay for, and this is what I was looking for.

Well, I will give it one star because I have to and one more because it worked great for a week then started to get loider. I bought it off Woot for $8 + shipping and could not get them to replace it. I guess it has a manufacturer Warranty but have not tried that yet. The problem it that it made a rattling noise and sounds as if something is stuck in it. Then it starts to smell as if it is about to catch on fire. Great, that is the last thing I needmy truck to burn down. I will not use it if I am not with it.

Other downsides. The charging port is on the same side as the power cord that you plug in. This is awkward. You can only charge one at a time or it gets loud. Never tried it on an airplane but I guess that would be one place that the amount of noise it makes would not matter. Mine did not come with it's little cary case as it was supposed to.

I just used the cable that came with it and gave my phone an IV. Even when you are alone, two is good.

This dual charger has two 1 amp ports that are sufficient for slow charging of iPods and iPhones, and not the more powerful 2.1 amp ports that many car chargers are starting to adopt. But my biggest problem with this product is that it does not have an indicator light to show that it is powered up. When I move my chargers to different cars, I want to know whether the charger socket in the car is always on, or if it's only on when the key is in the ignition. Each car handles this differently. Also without an indicator light, I don't know if a charger socket has a blown fuse or not. I just rented a car recently and it had a blown fuse, and I was able to figure this out quickly because my charger had an indicator light. Belkin stripped off a vital feature in this very basic charger.

On a recent trip to the shore, we tried out this charger and it is was especially handy since it has the two USB ports. I have another brand of dual USB charger for the car, but it is almost twice as long -sticking out of the lighter quite far. This, by contrast, is such a nice small size, fitting much cleaner. It was able to charge both my iPhone 4 and my wife's 4S. I even plugged in the iPad 2 for a while, which actually did slowly charge (the iPad OEM charger puts out about twice as many amps). The cable that comes with it seems to be high quality and sturdy. The connector fits snug and doesn't easily fall out like many other non-Apple connectors.

In case it doesn't say elsewhere, it provides 5 volts with 1 amp to each USB port, so any other devices you have will work with this, too, as long as it doesn't need more than 1 amp. For those giving lower rating on this "iPod Touch charger" because it won't charge their Android phone or some other device, that is unfair. This will give 1 amp of current -check your device's requirements before expecting this to do more than advertised.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the design and quality and it will have a happy home in our cars for years to come.

I'm somewhat baffled that someone hasn't thought of this before (maybe they have, and I just haven't noticed though). This is a great idea, especially for long trips in the car. We've got an iPad and several iPhones, and often find ourselves in need of having multiple devices charged at once. The included 3 feet cable is a decent size cable, and feels well made for a cable. The connector for the iPhone/iPod/iPad seems to be a big longer than I'm used to for my standard charger I got from Apple, but in some ways that makes it easier to pull out of the device.

The many times I've used this charger I've found it to work as expected. Even when two devices are plugged into the USB ports, they seem to charge just fine. All in all, it works as expected. Is a solid cable, nice to have two ports instead of one, and does the job it's meant to. Pricing is a little on the high side, but that is somewhat expected with a name brand like Belkin. You can't go wrong otherwise.

I've already found this Belkin dual USB car charger to be very handy and not just for i-stuff. So many items charge via USB these days so that stuff can be plugged into this outlet as well though I've found the charging times are not as consistent compared to the apple products. In addition to Apple products I've charged Android phones and a Kindle Fire alot of my non-apple charges devices already have cords that can be removed from their electric outlet charge plug and simply be plugged into this belkin car plug.

So really, anyone that has USB-charging devices might as well get this type of car plug and skip buying a collection of dedicated car charging devices save yourself from accumulating too many cords strewn around your house and garage.

My one gripe would be that at $25 this is a bit pricey compared to several other car usb plugs I have purchased (you can search them on amazon). All in all a good product and I give it 4 stars out of 5 in consideration of price/ value.

I bought this product on E-Bay for $40. I already had another Valet brand keyless entry system installed in my Ford but wanted the remote start after seeing a friend with one installed. I like the idea of being able to start your car ahead of time to let it warm up (in the winter) and letting the heat clear up the windows or get the A/C going ahead of time (in the summer). I had the first system "professionally installed" at Circuit City before they all went out of business and was not too impressedthey neglected to do a lot of things such as put the blinking light on the dash and left me without the valet button and others. They also took forever to do the job. I decided to do the install myself as a challenge because I was tired of the "professionals" always saying to leave it to them because us common folk could not do it.

Install was pretty basic but will vary from car to car. Remember I already had a previous system in my car so it sped up installation somewhatnot a whole lot, but somewhat yes. As with any system like this, install is not for the novice or faint of heart. It took me several hours of hard labor in dark cramped places to get this right. If you have a bad back or neck do not attempt to do this kind of thing. I would also say preparation is key. Go online to sites like and get a wiring schematic for your car so you know what wires are what colors, etc. I also taped little tape notes to the wires to tell me where each one went and then cut short the wires that I did not need.

Also make sure you have the right equipment with you. You will need wire strippers, good quality electrical tape, a sharp knife, wire cutters and probably a few automotive relays which can also be bought on Amazon for way cheaper than all the stores I called locally. Kragens had one and they wanted for it. Radio Shack didn't even have the right type.

The options you can set on this thing are very impressive and there are several safety features. Unlike my last system, this unit comes with a nice antenna so the range is very good. I can start/ lock/ unlock from my house and even a couple of hundred feet away as long as I can see my car (clear line of sight). The only downside is that this system only comes with one remote although I'm sure you can buy more which you then have to program to the system.

Overall this product does what it advertises. This is the same company that makes several other well known quality brands of similar products so don't be scared off by the little known brand name Valet.

This is simply the best product made for a BASIC remote start application. There are products with more features but across the board this brands quality is second to none period. I have sold directed products for nearly 15 years and it is a very rare occasion that a unit is bad out of the box. 99% of the time failure of this product comes down to INSTALLER ERROR not a bad unit. Every year more and more cars can not have a remote start installed in them. Thank the Car manufacturer for that. This product is intended for PROFESSIONAL install I strongly recommend that or you will end up frustrated and giving a great product a bad review.

You might have to cut a hole in the battery box to get it to lay flat but I suppose you could skip that step and things would work out alright. When its zero F the top of the battery is comfortably warm to the touch and the sides of the battery near the bottom feel like a warm coffee cup. Car cranks like a summer day.

I would have to rate the item poor. I was only able to use it once. It overheated and shorted out. The weight of a battery was too much foor it. It was lucky that there wasn't any fire from using it. I would not recomend this style any one. I ended up purchasing a wrap around style and it seem to work fine with no over heating.

I bought this and it did not have the power needed to do the job. I took it off and put a Proheat on and it worked excellent, much easier to put on also. Just peel and stick. I would not recommend the Kats heater for even marginal cold weather. I do recommend the Proheat as it did a great job on my truck down to -35F

I have a 26Hp Briggs engine, garden tractor, 2qt of oil, stored in a small shed. The engine is the most, cold natured engine ever. I have struggled with it in the winter (actually anytime it's < 50 degrees) for six years! I stumbled upon this Kats heater, bought it and the 1" x 5" heater pad for the oil and have been in love ever since. It used have to go out and plug in two space heaters and a battery charger for 2 3 hours to get my tractor started to plow snow. Now I walk out and start the tractor right up anytime I want!
