Buy Odyssey PC545 Powersports Battery Now
I bought this battery to replace the Power-Wheels stock 12V one that was dead in my kids ride-on Tonka truck. To my surprise, it fit in the original battery holder, I just had to use some longer M5 bolts to use the stock battery hold-down. The kids have been using the truck for nearly a month now, i have not recharged it yet! Great battery.I bought an Odyssey PC545MJ in April, 2006 for $102 delivered. I have used it for three years in my F440 race cars. It is light weight and powerful and has been subject to heat and vibration in my application and was excellent until it failed recently. Please note that in order to get a metal jacket Odyssey, you must order model #PC545MJ, not PC545. I intend to buy another as a replacement.I purchased this for the Cold Cranking Amps to power my big bore Harley. I had it for 3 months before it died, then replaced it with the same model battery and it also lasted 3 months. Every time I started my bike it took to much power out of it and then took to long to recharge until they just wouldn't hold a charge anymore. For stock applications It would most likely work fine but it is billed as a heavy duty battery and it fails. You can actually measure the decrease in cold cranking amps after every start. Once a Week I would measure it and watched the life just tick awayTuesday, August 5, 2014

Allison 54-1400 Small Digital Clock, Stick-On
I needed it for my utility vehicle as I do not wear a watch doing ranch work. The clock was reasonably priced
but the shipping, in a padded envelope at nearly $7 was outrageous, and why I removed a star.
One additional feature this clock has, that none of the others I saw listed have, is that the lens over the
face is slightly magnified and makes reading the numbers easier. It is easy to set and so-far so good. We will see how it does in the cold.
UPDATE: Used it through the winter of 2010-11, down to -8. Clock held up, still using original battery. Use caution setting the buttons, they
are very sensitive and you can mess up the time easily and then you have to go through the program cycle again.I needed a small battery operated clock. I am very happy with this purchaase. Both the time and dates are easy to read.

We bought this clock to replace a different one we had in our car that died of heat. This one has survived all day inside a hot car and hasn't given out on us yet. It is way smaller than it looks in the photo, you can barely see the numbers and has gained 9 minutes time in the last month. The shipping cost was about as much as the clock itself. Definitely not worth it!Want Allison 54-1400 Small Digital Clock, Stick-On Discount?

Griffin RoadTrip FM Transmitter with SmartScan for iPod
- Compatibility: iPod touch, iPod nano 3rd generation, iPod classic, iPod with video,iPod nano 2nd generation
- Charge your player while listening to music through your car's stereo system
- SmartScan technology finds, memorizes, and selects the three clearest radio frequencies with the touch of a button
- The flexible steel neck and model-specific adapters create a custom-install look
- Built-in antenna and SmartSound Plus technology ensure clear sound
On the FM transmitter box, push the middle button (Function) and then press and hold the "Mode" button (the right one) for approximately 10 seconds. When you let go you will see a menu for "Us" "Eu" "Ja", select the middle button, "Eu". Let the device sit for a few seconds until it goes back to the main screen, then tune your radio and the transmitter to 87.7 87.9! Now you can use the device on the frequencies that will rarely give you interference (I have the best luck in St. Louis with 87.7).

I know this type of device is known for having problems. Sometimes it's the product itself and sometimes it's the car you put it in. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the Griffin Roadtrip with Smartscan. I bought one for my wife. She uses it in a 2002 Nissan Altima with no complaint. On that basis I figured I would try it in my Dodge Dakota. Again, it works great. We live in the Atlanta area and I drive all over, north and east of the city. I am able to leave it set on one of the channels the device itself chose. 90% of the time I hear no interference. The rest of the time there is occasional hissing and, rarely, there is a big swoosh of noise, but only for a couple seconds. We are very satisfied with this product. We have tried some other brands and have not found one this good.Want Griffin RoadTrip FM Transmitter with SmartScan for iPod Discount?
I had been searching for a long time for a decent FM tuner that works with the iPhone 3G. I've tried numerous different products, but couldn't find one that provided a strong enough signal and managed to charge my iPhone 3G. It looks like this product does the trick. Well, it does the trick if you do the trick.First, before purchasing this product, make sure that your car stereo can tune to 87.7 or lower. The lower the better. Then, set the device to European mode: hit the "Function" button, then hold "Mode" for 10 seconds. Finally, select EU instead of US as the location. This allows you to set the device to transmit on frequencies like 87.7 which contain no radio stations in the United States. Now, plug your phone in, tune your radio to 87.7 and you should be jamming to tunes in no time. You'll only need to do this once.
One of the nicest features of this transmitter is that it has a semi-rigid arm for holding the iPhone/iPod, allowing you position it so you get optimal reception on your radio. Then it just stays there. Much better than other adapters that sit loose. Also, contrary to what I read before purchasing this, the transmitter does not shut off in EU mode when not in iPod mode. I had no problem listening to Pandora over 3G on a recent 150 mile drive. Although, you'll still get the periodic GSM "chirp/buzz", but that's an artifact of GSM and inherent to most GSM phones when not in airplane mode.
Of course, it's not all rosy with this device. It takes a second to start when the power is applied, so I get a brief moment of static on the radio when I first start my car. Secondly, the volume levels output are much lower than what we get over radio -on my Mazda 3 we can listen to normal radio at volume level 7, but for the transmitter we need volume level 13 or 14. Finally, the plate that holds the phone/ipod in place blocks part of the home button on the iPhone. Not a huge deal, but kinda annoying. Finally, expect to run into standard FM transmitter problems -your signal may go wacky in tunnels as a result of other signals bouncing around. In my experience this happens reliably in one major tunnel in Pittsburgh, but not in the other major tunnel.
In any case, I've tried out about seven or eight different FM transmitters and this is the first one that I've been happy with. If you don't want to open up your dash to add in an aux line for your iPhone/iPod, this is a good solution. To get nice and clear sound, switch the device into the European mode and tune it to 87.7. It works fine as long as you listen to your iTunes music. A problem appears when you try to listen Internet radios like Pandora. Some weird European regulation says that you can't transmit continuously while not playing music (iPhone doesn't think it's playing music when it's not in the iPod mode) and the device stops transmitting after approximately 20 seconds. Pain in the butt since it doesn't happen in the US mode.
Anyway RoadTrip is great for your iTunes music, just make sure it's in the EU mode and tune your radio to 87.7. Living in a big city (Houston, TX) I rarely get any interference.
Best transmitter for iPhone on the market for sure (tried a few returned all). Go for it.

Delphi SA10101 SKYFi2 XM Satellite Radio Receiver and Remote Control
Pro's
Extended Titles-This is the only xm reciever to feature this but it will eventually be available in newer models too.XM is just starting to get into listing more than 16 characters for artist and song.
Brighter Light for viewing in bright sunlight. It doesn't get washed out.
Stock Tickers and Sports Scores Note you must go into the menu and pick your favorite stocks and sports teams.
Better Sound
Built In Fm Modulator and it lets you choose over 6 frequencies. Also although xm recommends you buy the new car cradle it works fine with the old car cradle.
30 Presets features A,B and C were you can put at least 10 channels on each.
Pause and Record Feature-The Skyfi 2 automatically starts to record when you cut it on.You don't have to do anything not even pause. If you want to hear a song again that you liked real good or missed when you was away from the reciever you can just hit the reverse arrow. It can hold up to 30 minutes of songs. You can also go foward by hitting the foward arrow. If you want to hear live programming what is playing now just hold the foward arrow it will then beep and display live on the top.Note once you cut it off all memory will be lost. When you cut it back on it starts to record again from the first song. This is a great feature to have if your reciever is in the house and you have to go outside for something. When you come back in you can just push the back arrow and go back to the songs. And the recorded songs sound live you can't tell a difference in sound quality. You can also pause the music if you want to.
The Skyfi 2 features a clock. You can either view it in 12 or 24 hr time.
The Skyfi 2 can also alert you when your favorite artist or song is on.For example if your favorite artist on Sunny channel 24 is Percy Faith if your on another channel you will hear a beep when they play Percy Faith. You can put at least 10 favorite artist or songs in.
The Skyfi 2 is lighter than the Skyfi 1.Even thou their the same size the Skyfi 2 isn't as heavy as the Skyfi 1.
The Skyfi 2 comes with a remote.Note the skyfi 1's remote will also work on the skyfi 2 if you want to cut up or down the volume, change channel or put in numbers. The sky 2's remote has additionel keys and different batteries.
Cons
It doesn't feature a variety of colors for your mood like the roady 2 does.
Even thou it says you can pick it up on any Fm radio inside the house you can't.The Fm mod only works on the car cradle. It's not in the menu when it's on the boombox.
The sky 2 remote is heavier and takes 2 aa battaries instead of a long life lithium like the sky 1 remote. Also the sky 2 remote is slightley larger than the sky 1.
The skyfi 2 is worth the extra money.I highley recommend it.
I also recommend the protective satellite radio reciever case which is cheap to keep this in.It will protect the lcd screen from scratches.
Also Xm has an emergency channel on 247 which monitors tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanos, floods, blizzards etc.It came in handy this past summer with the Florida Hurricanes and this Fall with the eruption of Mount Saint Helens. They give evacuation routes, watches, warnings, school and business closings and other info. This is yet another reason to get xm.Well what can I say, XM has done it again! If you're looking for a receiver which gives you the abilit to pause play, rewind or go forward (all up to 30 minutes) then this is the player for you! You know when you're listening to that one part of a song or news that's important and someone starts talking or the phone rings? Well with this receiver you'll never miss one second as you just hit the pause button and it'll pause the program until you return (just like TiVo or Recorder Box), and you can skip by the commercials (few there are) in playback until you get to the LIVE feed again.
The screen gives you two colors, black letters on white or white letters on black background. My opinion is that I liked the original SkyFi Amber color better than the Black/white or white/black. However many had a problem seeing it in the daylight (I personally did not).
There is a "ticker" at the bottom of the screen. Meaning you can program the receiver to scroll across the bottom of the screen current stock quotes, or sports scores and game times for all major teams and college. Even Golf!
There is clock in the upper right corner which allows regular or military time. All you do is set it to your time zone (Eastern, West, etc.) and if your area follows daylight savings, and then XM Satellites do the rest in adjusting the time! You'll always have the current time beamed down to your radio!
You can set it to broadcast to a nearby FM radio. Meaning you can have this receiver in your bedroom playing, and have it set to a frequency (there are many to choose from) on your FM radio so that you can hear it on your FM radio in the kitchen or other room! This litle box will actually broadcast to an FM radio!
And look at the prices! Amazon's are the lowest around! Look even closer and the this SkyFi2 is ten dollars more than the original SkyFi Amazon has. At these prices I don't see how Amazon makes any profit!
And it keeps going and going with no problems. Meaning, when I first got this from Amazon, the following day I came down with the Flu. I had it playing soft/easy music in my bedroom for well over 48 hours while I layed in bed with the flu. Non stop for over 2 days and at no time did the screen get "hot" and have problems nor did the radio turn itself off from overheating.
Plus you get a nifty remote that's a bit larger and more comfortable in the hand than the original SkyFi. And there's a metal clip you can attach to clip onto your pants/belt. Remote has good range, comes in handy when you don't want to get up to adjust the volume (included) or do just about anything other than menu functions (changing color, ticker, etc.). Two AAA batteries are included with the remote.
What you will need with this (just like the original SkyFi) is with the homekit (to hook to your stereo) or boombox (has antenna, and all). Just make sure when you order them that it's for XM radio as the Sirius Satellite parts will not work with XM.
If you're looking for a XM Receiver with lots of "toys" to play around with, adjusting it to see various things, then this one is for you. You'll spend hours customizing the screen to your exact color, darkness, brightness, contrast, selection of ticker stock quotes or sports teams, etc.
When I first read about Satellite Radio I said to myself "why would anyone pay for something that's free on the radio," but trust me there is a BIG difference! Sond quality is much better, there are little to no commercials (commercials are on the Old Time Radio and Sonic but are few) and you can zero in to listen to the exact type of music you want to. Not listen to your radio for hours upon hours for the genre songs you like. And if talk radio is your thing, especially LIVE shows, then Satellite is what you want. Especially if you live in parts of the country where you have one or no talk stations. XM gives you 5 talk stations. With G Gordon Liddy and Dr. Laura coming in Feb. 2005. And if baseball (Major) is your thing, well XM has an 11 year contract with MLB to carry each and every game starting with spring training to the world series! And with no additional cost to the $9.99 fee!
Buy Delphi SA10101 SKYFi2 XM Satellite Radio Receiver and Remote Control Now
I bought this unit on-line literally within minutes of hearing about it. TiVo does that to people; you begin to expect to be able to pause or rewind just about anything around you. Now, if it could only pause and fast-forward live people talking...click, click. This reciever answers that need for satellite radio...almost. Sadly, it does not contain or allow an external hard drive chip to record songs permanently when your 30 minutes are up or the unit is shut off, the songs stored in memory are gone forever. Also, the forward and reverse buttons can only skip one song at a time to get to the front or back of the ever changing 30 minute memory, you must push the desired direction button many times to skip through all the songs.
The unit does have a built in FM transmitter, but it only works while installed on the home or auto cradle, NOT the boombox. Since the manual fails to mention this, and it being entirely illogical as to why they would remove this function only for the boombox, I wound up having to find this out from their technical help line.
Until music and electronics manufacturers eventually stumble upon the concept of a magic 'BUY' button, which would record (or instantly download) the song playing to a removable hard drive or chip, along with relevant title and artist info, we are destined to be satisfied for now with small incremental steps in that direction that receivers like this bring. This unit is a rather significant and appreciated step to that end, nonetheless.
Also not published in any of the manuals is a diagnostic mode for the receiver that can be a great aid in aiming the antenna. Briefly, to enter the diagnostic mode:
Make sure your receiver is off.
Press these keys in order: 2 0 7 XM (button in the middle of the wheel on the SkyFi)
Press Display 3 times to cycle through the normal displays to the first Diagnostic screen.
SkyFi Screen 1
SAT1: East Satellite at 85 degrees west longitude.
SAT2: West Satellite at 115 degrees west longitude.
TERR: Terrestrial Repeater signal
DEMOD: A check mark means you have demodulator lock. This means the receiver is locked on the signal from that source.
TDM: A check mark means you are synchronized with the Time Division Multiplexed signal from that source.
BER %: Percentage Bit Error Rate. This is the percentage of received data bits in error. For satellite this value should be less than 3% for error free audio. For terrestrial, it should be below 6%.
AGC: Automatic Gain Control Level. This is an indication of the amount of internal gain needed to recover the signal. The more negative, the higher the signal being received.
SkyFi Screen 2
BER: Raw Bit Error Rate. This is the number of received data bits in error. This value divided by the maximum number of errors in a measurement interval is the BER % on Screen 1. Max number for SAT1 and SAT2 is 5440. Max for TERR is 6800.
AGC: Same as on Screen 1.
C/N: Signal to Noise Ratio measured as Carrier Power divided by Noise Power. For SATs, this value needs to be greater than 7. It does not apply for TERR. This is a good satellite antenna pointing indicator.
RSBK and RSBY: Reed Solomon Block and Byte Errors. They should be 0.

I have the SKYFI2 hooked up to my home stereo and am impressed with how easy it was to get it working. While the sound isn't CD quality I wasn't expecting it to be. It's on a par with FM but the music choices are 1000x better. XM has great music channels and I haven't listened to the radio at home since I bought this. I like the display and the artist and song titles. The remote works great and the FM modulation works well even in the crowded Washington DC airwaves. If you're interested in XM you can't go wrong with the SKYFI2.Want Delphi SA10101 SKYFi2 XM Satellite Radio Receiver and Remote Control Discount?
I ordered the radio specifically to use for a road trip to Phoenix which has in the past required three changes of radio stations and the playing of two CDs to travel through a 'no airwaves' zone. What a pleasure to listen to quality radio for the entire 450 miles. The vehicle hook-up was very easy, and I just placed the antenna on the dashboard near the front window and had absolutely no interferance. Moving the setup from car to car has been extremely easy so if you travel a lot, you can set it up in a rental car in minutes and never miss a beat.

Black & Decker 300 Amp Low-Profile Jump Starter
Buy Black & Decker 300 Amp Low-Profile Jump Starter Now
I purchased this item because of the product name Black & Decker which has a reputation to make quality tools that perform well. After fully charging the unit I attempted to start my Craftsman garden tractor whose battery was weak. Well to my dissatisfaction after connecting the B&D Jump Pack to the battery had little or no effect on the performance of the cranking of the engine which I couldn't get started. Feeling that there may be a problem with the garden tractor I attempted to jump start my Sonoma P/U with a 6 cyl engine which was totally dead and after connecting the B&D battery pack again it had no effect whatsoever and wouldn't even crank the engine. I had purchased this unit as a replacement for my Husky Jump Pack which I had received about 3 years ago as a gift. The Husky outperformed this unit by leaps and bounds it would crank the P/U with a dead battery and had no problems starting my garden tractor. This B&D unit is a waste of money and I wouldn't recommend buying one if you are looking for a reliable jump pack for emergencies. Steer clear of this one. Stick with the Husky brand I give it a F-Read Best Reviews of Black & Decker 300 Amp Low-Profile Jump Starter Here

This Black and Decker jump starter is conveinent and works great at first. If you keep this in your car (like most common-sensed Americans would) it will loose it's charge after about 2 months. Okay, no big deal, it's to be expected that these batteries need some maintenance. Unfortunately, when I went to recharge the battery, it wouldn't hold a charge! What's that I hear? Griffin PowerBlock Dual Universal Charger for MP3 Players and USB Devices (Black)
- Charge two USB devices at the same time from the same wall outlet
- Charges Sansa, Creative, Zune, Samsung, iPod, iPhone, and most other MP3 players and devices that charge via USB
- LED glows green to show PowerBlock is ready to charge
- Non-polarized blades fold flat for storage
- Works with AC outlets from 100V to 240V
Some folks here have found this charger doesn't put out enough power for particular devices. Before purchasing this charger, it's a good idea to compare the power requirements for your device with the power this charger puts out.
The charger puts out 5.2 volts, and 500mA per USB port.
The charger also includes over-voltage protection and short circuit protection.
For more tech specs, see p.4 of the manual:

Buy Griffin PowerBlock Dual Universal Charger for MP3 Players and USB Devices (Black) Now
Works as advertised for low-end devices. If your device charges _normally_ off of a computer's USB port (without a special driver), it should charge off of this. USB spec is up to 500mA per port (see wikipedia) so this product seems to be built to USB specs. However, newer and power hungry devices require more. In the case of the iPad (1st generation), it does charge off the computer, but very slowly. The iPad works best when using a 2100mA (2.1A) or greater charger.(this only charged my motorola W376G tracfone when used with a special charge-only cable, which was included with the Belkin Dual USB and AC Wall Charger)This thing DOES work with the ipod touch 2G,
which isn't true about all chargers.
But it doesn't charge my Motorola cell phone.
Go figure...
Want Griffin PowerBlock Dual Universal Charger for MP3 Players and USB Devices (Black) Discount?
So far this has been an excellent charger. For those who care, essentially no power is consumed when the charger is plugged in but not charging. I tested it against my amp meter: 0.000 amps when not charging but green light showing, and around 0.0650 amps when charging my iPod. So you can leave this plugged in and not worry about consuming power when idling. My PowerBlock was used infrequently (once a month or so) and lasted just over a year. The plastic holding the metal prongs/plugs cracked and one of the metal plugs no longer stays in... Griffen indicated that they could not help as the product was outside the warranty period. I can understand that, but I expected more from a lightly used product.Saturday, July 20, 2013

AmazonBasics Hard Carrying Case for 5-Inch GPS -Black
- Hard Carrying Case for 5" GPS Devices
- Ships in Certified Frustration-Free Packaging
Enter this zippered "hard" case by Amazon. Honestly, I can't imagine that any branded product sold by or for GPS makers could be any better suited to comfortably holding your 5" GPS unit. The interior is clean and simple, with a mesh pouch built into one side, and an entirely open side for the other half of the clamshell-style case. The sides are attached with short but wide elastic strips that prevent the case from opening too far, and the interior is lined with a flocked, pumpkin-colored fabric.
My only slight qualm with this case is its page declaration that it's a "hard" case. As my subject heading says, it's more along the lines of a "firm" case, IMHO. The sides are clearly formed of some sort of reinforced cardboard-weight substance, but I'm not even sure that that's made of plastic pieces, because of the give from it when I poke a side. So, while this case DOES give my GPS better protection than my old modular PSU cable pouch did, I can't say that I really consider it to be a hard case. I can easily see the sides giving in if this case were to get squished in my purse (of course, considering all the crap I tend to carry in my oversized purses at any given time, that's not really a big surprise in MY case).
So, overall, I'm glad I've got this case for my GPS. It DOES provide more protection than my old method did, and the Amazon-branded product is just as good as anything else out there, but it's not truly a hard case in my opinion. It's spacious enough to hold the GPS unit within the pouch, with no loose rattling around of it in there, while also holding the power cable in the open side, but my suction cup windshield mount does NOT fit in the case with everything else in there. Does the job at a reasonable price, and well, so if this case is cheaper than the others you're considering for protecting your GPS, I give it a hearty thumbs-up, but if you see something else offered at a lower price, I would be hard-pressed to say that this item would do a better job of protecting it than any other "hard" GPS case.
Go with the cheapest option, be it this case, or another. I would expect the level of protection to be the same, either way.

The case is large enough to store the car adaptor cord and the 5" system. It is sturdy enough to withstand bumps.Read Best Reviews of AmazonBasics Hard Carrying Case for 5-Inch GPS -Black Here
I was sent an Amazon Basics Hard Carrying Case for a 5" GPS from Amazon Vine. Here's my take on it.This is a hard carrying case in black nylon with EVA padding. A nylon zipper opens three sides and two stretchy bands keep the top from opening completely. A stretchy pocket in the lid holds the power cable. Outside dimensions are approximately 6 ½ inches by 5 inches by 2 inches deep. My Tom Tom 1505 GPS device fits inside perfectly, although there isn't room to accommodate the car charger. Still, the sleek design protects the GPS unit from bumps or scratches and is ideal for travel or storage. Had the case accommodated the car charger, I would have given it a five-star rating.

Overall this is a great case to give your gps good protection. The case is more of a stiff case rather than a hard case, but still better than a soft case.PROS
-looks great and feels well made
-space for the gps and car charger (even with the traffic receiver being built in to the charger)
THINGS I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO SEE
-better divider/gps slot
-----I wish the little slab that held the gps was thicker and higher, thicker so that there was more protection from the charger scratching the screen and taller so it covered the whole screen. I have the screen facing the outside of the case to avoid this, but i would prefer to have the screen facing the inside.
-padding
-----There is really no padding in this case besides the case itself. The case feels tough enough while still having flex to absorb shock, but i would have liked to have seen some padding
Overall a great case, and even though i think some things could be better, for the price its an amazing case that offers good protection for your gps.Bought for my TomTom XXL 540TM 5-Inch Widescreen GPS. The clamshell is asymmetric; 1/3 thickness side has an interior mesh pocket that's stretchy enough to hold the TomTom with its standard windshield suction mount attached, but also snug enough to hold the TomTom without the suction mount attached. I store it with the screen facing the orange lining. The 2/3 thickness side is just roomy enough to stuff the car charger in fairly easily after folding up the cable. Zipper holds it shut securely. Elastics allow the clamshell to open just wide enough (I think I would have liked it a tiny bit wider). Orange lining is a nice touch that makes it easy to see inside.
As other reviewers have said "hard" doesn't mean designed for stepping on. Rather it protects the GPS screen from being scratched and it's rigid enough to hold its shape, presenting a nice neat package that's easy to pack and carry. Pleased with this purchase.
