Gorilla Automotive 8007 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote Transmitter

Gorilla Automotive 8007 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote TransmitterI did a lot of research before buying an alarm for my second bike, searching reviews on MC web sites.

I wanted a quality made product, easy to install in cramped motorcycle spaces, and one that had tilt, shock, and electrical circuit change alarm triggering features. I was NOT interested in gimicky pager features, either one way or two way, and wanted to avoid any form of bulky transmitter gear to put in my motorcycle clothing pockets.

This alarm is made in Japan, has excellent ENGLISH documentation, an excellent warranty, and real human beings on the customer support line that are experts. I spoke with these folks with some questions before purchasing this alarm, getting right through on the telephone with no voice menus. I got good, informed answers from a real expert.

Packaging is excellent, and Amazon had it to me in two days. The installation was extremely simple, with only two wires to connect to the battery terminals, and lots of length to all quality connections and wiring. The compact size of the alarm made for easy location under the seat, and I put the LED warning light at the rear of the bike, although for the installation challenged the LED does NOT have to be installed for the alarm to function.

I was surprised in completing installation in less than 20 minutes, and then it was time to test and configure the alarm according to the included manual. That was a simple 5 minute process, and the test of the single chirp (warning, don't touch me), the shock alarm, and the tilt alarm (for when a thief moves the bike upright from the side stand) all worked flawlessly.

I can't recommend this alarm enough. If you later decide you want to add a pager feature, you simply purchase that device and plug it in to "upgrade" your alarm.

I decide to bought this alarm for my Honda Stunner 125, the idea was to have an alarm that protect my motorcycle when left alone, I didn't want one alarm that stop the motorcycle if someone try steal it when I'm riding on it since sometimes thiefs return and kill you (better my bike than my life).

The installations was easy really easy, except for the part of the sensor that detects if someone pulled upright your motorcycle, the other thing somewhat dificult to install was the led warning because I put it on the handlebar. I place the alarm unit and other components under the sit really easy.

One thing you must be very careful is if you don't use your motorcycle on a daily basic, the alarm will drain your battery, to avoid this I decide to disconect the fuse, so I turn it on connecting the alarm fuse, the only problem will be that you will have to program the remote transmitter when you connect it (no big deal).

I have had this item for a month now and it works fine, took about 10 minutes to install and the remote and tilt sensor work perfectly. The alarm itself is very loud but when I put on the seat (i keep it under the seat) its not THAT loud, I am thinking of repositioning it but it defiantly works as advertised. As for vibration, mine is strapped down pretty good and my bike doesn't really vibrate much so I dont see vibration destroying it. I have had it for about 2000 miles now and its still like new.

This alarm is great, its easy to install. Took me 15 minutes to install, with taking off panels on my moped, and doing a clean job.Very loud. And has a pretty long range, at least 100 feet,is when I disarm it when I come out of my condo door.Mount the led lite where it can be seen,I mounted mine above the key switch. The only thing I wish that they would add is a silent arming feature,I knew that it did not state it had silent arming, but you cant have everything. For the money its a simple, but solid alarm, not like the cheap ones for 40 bucks that has remote start and all the things that you dont really need on a motor cycle or a moped for that matter.I will buy another one for my next bike for sure.Hope this helps you Make your mind up on a alarm system.Ps try and beat the price on Amazon, good luck!
