This is actually the second red shift knob I have purchased. I got the first 1 at autozone and was exstatic to find it on amazon as autozone no longer carries it. I also have the blue version of the same shift knob. For those who think it's not bright enough try putting in a new battery. I have a red mitsubishi eclipse with red and black interior and the shifter looks great. Everyone who sees it is blown away. Not to mention it feels great in the palm of my hand. Couldn't be more pleased. And of course the service from amazon is always spectacular. I received the shift knob just a couple of days after ordering it. That's why I always come back to amazon for things I want. They never let me down.

does not look like the picture. a lil bit darker and it barely lights up. no instructions and the screws to hold it to the stick dnt stay in. after like a day of shifting they will wiggle lose and the knob will start to wiggle around which gets annoying. try finding something at ur local car places or something that matches your car right. i have a celica-gts 2000 but it looks good

Although the delivery on this was exceptionally prompt, the item was not as I expected. I'd searched for a PINK LED shift knob, and this item came up. It isn't pink, it's RED. The teeny tiny screws inside were loose and I mistook them for debris, so they went in the trash when I opened the pkg. No instructions came with it either so I guess I'll be winging the install. Amazon has the same item so the listing pics will either be changed, as seller requested, or left as is, with the pink photo appearing as the main photo. Seller did not offer refund, but was very helpful trying to figure out why there were no instructions or why this was not pink.

once i learned how to lock the keypad, i just love it! you only have to do this once and the keypad locks after a bit. it is awesome!

To lock the keypad please do the following:

1) press and hold the "F" button for 8 seconds or until the orange LED lights up solid at the top of the remote

2) press and hold the unlock button until the remote beeps two times

3) there should be multiple green LED's lit up on the side of the remote at this point

4) the LED next to the lock button should not be on

5) press the lock button one time and the green LED next to that button should illuminate

6) press the "F" button for 2 seconds and release

7) press the "F" button a 2nd time for 2 seconds and release

Your remote will now automatically lock 60 seconds after your last command is sent. To unlock the remote before each use simply press "F" then the unlock button.

While the car alarm/remote start system works well, I have had nothing but a bad experience from this remote.

Pros:

-The remote does have a feature that disables the 2-way communication and saves battery life

Cons:

-Every time I change the batteries, the back door breaks or the remote plastic breaks. I duct tape the back door back on, but it will buzz in your pocket every so often. My daughter calls it "angry keys."

-The remote battery life is around 2-3 months...have fun changing the batteries.

-I always find the remote accidentally activating something because the keys press extremely easily against my car key...the only other key on my key chain.

Recommendations:

-The Viper developer needs to make some type of case cover for this remote to prevent it from accidentally unlocking or starting the vehicle.

Update:

There is now an upgrade to this FOB: Essentials 7254V Directed Audio Essentials Viper Responder Le 2-way Led Remote. That FOB has resolved the battery issue as there is no more back panel but rather the face is removable. It may be more sturdy and I will provide a review over time. The buttons are also stiffer for the purpose to resolve the buttons being accidentally pushed. The replacement has better reviews and the battery life cannot be adjusted without a complete redesign, but the other flaws may have been resolved. I'm expecting a 4-5 star review on that FOB in about 4 months or so.

I had called Viper to get a replacement and they gave me 3 numbers of authorized dealers in my area. I called all three and they gave me a price of around $85 for the remote and then told me it would be $50 to $65 to program the remote, acting like this was some big deal. OK, first programming the remote is simple and takes less than 5 minutes to do. It is just opening a car door, turning on the ignition, pushing the button on the control center(the receiver in the corner of the windshield) one time and then pushing it again and holding it until the alarm horn sounds and the LED blinks on the control center. Then you follow the directions on pushing various buttons on the remote which put in in program mode and then set the lock button so the alarm reacts, then just a simple push of one or two more buttons on the remote to close the program mode and you are finished. It isn't brain surgery, or anything they should even charge for, the directions are right in the pack and easy to follow. I went almost five months with a dead alarm system because I thought the repair price was crazy, glad I looked on Amazon and found this replacement and did it myself.

I've been using this remote for the past 2 years and love it. The only problem (which others have mentioned) is the sensitivity of the buttons. BUT, if you READ THE MANUAL you will find that you can lock the buttons so you don't accidentally start you car when you don't want to, among other things if you have additional modules installed.

My only complaint is the battery life is pretty low, around 3 5 months. I ended up buying 30 of the CR2016 batteries on amazon for about $5 and still have about 20 or so left over. (Uses 2 batteries at a time)

I really have to disagree with the previous post.

Pros:

Great design! This remote is easy to use and designed to fit comfortably in your hand. It's hard to believe that the battery life for this remote only lasted for 2-3 months for the first guy. I have been using my remote on a regular basis for little over a year now and have yet to replace the battery (my remote is still going strong BTW). On the topic of battery life, my signal is strong enough for me to still start my car up from a block away.

Cons:

The remote is hard to lock, and can occasionally start the car up from inside your pocket. This can be the only major problem for the remote. However, I am used to clipping my car keys to my belt, so I rarely experience this problem.

All in all this item is GREAT.

For $20, this EDUP streaming music device does a pretty good job. I'm using this to stream music from my iphone 5 to my car's stereo. My car has a 3.5mm auxilliary jack and I currently use a long cord to connect the phone to the stereo. It's cumbersome and the wire always gets in the way.

Here's what the EDUP does well: (1) Easy to pair with my iphone 5 (just push the button for about 7 seconds until the lights flash and it's done). (2) Easy to turn on (just hold the button for about 3 seconds until the light flashes and the audio indicator plays over the car's speakers to let you know it's on). (3) Easy to turn off (just push the button for about 5 seconds until the light flashes and the audio tone tells you it's off). (4) Sounds just as good as plugging my phone directly into the auxilliary audio port in my car. (5) Can play and charge at the same time via the 12V power outlet in my car -I leave it plugged in all the time. (6) Falls asleep to conserve power when not used for about 20 minutes. (7) When a call comes in, I am able to turn on my bluetooth earpiece and the audio switches from the EDUP to my earpiece appropriately. (8) Comes with a short male 3.5mm to male 3.5mm jack (shown in the picture), a male 3.5mm to male 3.5 cable in case the little jack won't physically fit in your car (I prefer the cable because the auxilliary port is in the bottom of the center console of my car, which is tough to reach with all my junk in there -the cable allows me to put the EDUP on top of the stuff in the center console which is easier to reach), and a short micro USB charging cable.

Here's what could be improved: (1) While the on/off function isn't horrible, it could be easier... maybe toggle between on/off without having to count 3 or 5 seconds depending on which operation you want (seems like the device could figure out that if "I'm currently on and the user is pressing the button, the user wants to me to turn off now")... maybe separate buttons... maybe move the light indicator so it isn't directly on the button (which ends up being under the finger that is pressing the buttons). (2) I'd love it if this would automatically wake up when I turn on the car... maybe it could recognize that power from the 12V outlet is off and go to sleep and then when the power is restored, it could wake up. I realize the EDUP also runs on battery power, so this may not be technically feasible given that it will "always" have some form of power. (3) When I hang-up the bluetooth earpiece after taking a call, it would be awesome if the EDUP would resume playing music. As it is now, the music pauses when I switch over to the earpiece and I have to actually press the "play" button on the phone to get the music to resume after I hang up the earpiece. I think this is probably a function of the phone, not the EDUP, though.

If the EDUP could do #1 on the things on the "to be improved" list, I would have given it 5 stars. If it could everything on my "to be improved" list, I would have given it 5 stars AND I would have been willing to pay an additional $10 or $20 for the device. Other than that, it's a great little device and does what I had hoped it would do.

UPDATED: I started to get really irritated with the "hold the button for 3 seconds to turn on and 5 seconds to turn off" functionality. It seems that I could never get the hang of what 3/5 seconds felt like and it constantly took me 2 or 3 tries to get this thing to turn on/off. I purchased a different bluetooth receiver that doesn't have a battery. With the new receiver, when there's power, it's on. When there's no power, it's off. No on/off switch to deal with. I like it much better for my particular application.

This was a surprisingly good product! I was originally going to buy the HTC version, but that was about $50 dollars. This "generic" version worked just as well. I charged it overnight, popped it into the aux jack in my car, and had my phone connect to it, and BAM. Quality music was able to play for about 6-8 hours straight. The device also turns off automatically once you leave the car for a short period of time. So if you take your phone with you the device is smart enough to just power off. My only gripe is that you have to turn it on every time you get in the car. No problem though, just a short 2 second press on the button. Flashing Blue light means streaming. Flashing Red/Blue light means pairing mode.

I use this in the Aux port on my Harley so that I don't have more wires strung to my phone for music. Works great, sounds great! Has a decent battery lifestarts beeping over the system when it's about to die. A little confusing to power up/pair/power off, but not too complex. Great especially for the price!

Received the item very quickly in the mail (as the seller I had bought from promised)... Used it for 4-1/2 hours straight with no charge and the quality was superb!... I bought this to use with my Sony SRS-P7 passive speakers while in my house and i had ordered one of those Eco Extreme Waterproof Speaker Cases (from Grace Digital) to become my designated outdoor speaker (that i can't wait to get and try out, especially for the beach / river)... Solid Brass Battery Terminal Heavy Duty

I really do like these brass terminals. I have been using them for connectors to a couple of deep cycle AGM 55AH 12 volt batteries I set up along with some solar panels, a regulator, etc. etc. that I am working on as a "pet project" of mine.

They fit the terminal posts on both the deep cycle batteries, and one AC Delco old car battery I had that I "brought back to life" that I had never used but had been sitting around dead for five years just taking up space.

Of course you don't try to combine a car battery with a deep cycle battery. The results will be disastereous. I worked on the Delco separately. My point being that the battery posts on my deep cycle batteries are not the standard rounded terminal poles that are on an average car battery. They are flat and have a hole through the middle of each pole.

These brass terminals fit perfectly with both types of battery posts, and they are very easy to work with. Ya can connect them up from a few different points on each terminal, so I consider them very user friendly.

They have a fairly good heft to them. Solidly built, good metal, and they feel very "right." I highly recommend them!

And I liked them so much compared to some others I tried that I have kept ordering more of them. I must be using four or five sets now, and have a spare for my next battery. And this may be a trivial point to make but the "brass" finish on them has not faded the slightest bit. Even after a half year of constant use.

So I ordered the wrong type of bulbs and they took them right back and worked with me on getting the right ones and they sent me the right size... but when put one in, it looked just like the 5000k I had on the other lamp.

I called them up and explained how I know that they are not 4300k. and wanted to send them back to get 4300k. well they called me back the next day and explained to me that when someone orders 4300k they send out 5000k because they are the same.

well if ther were the same they would both be called 5000k. PEOPLE, they are NOT the same one burns at 4300k temp and the other at 5000k temp. 4300k looking super OEM, what I call crystal white and 5000k leaning toward blue with a light blue hue.

This capacitor worked great with my Rockford Fosgate Punch Amp (200 RMS x 2) & Stage 2 Subs. It fixed the light-flickering problem in my car and you could feel, as well as hear the difference in the hard-hitting bass that came out of the subs! I am no car stereo enthusiast or expert, but I know enough to say that this is a very reasonable price and a good performing capacitor. Easy to install, comes with screws (4) for mounting. I would recommend getting some large ring terminals for your wires. I measured the posts @ 9/16", so not sure what the closest size it. I got some that were a bit too small and filed them down. Great product at an excellent price. Highly recommend!

I received PowerGen wall charger for testing from the manufacturer to write an honest and unbiased review and you will find both pluses and minuses of my experience in this review.

Note that some early versions of this plug had quality control issues. My plugs did not have any issues, but some of the early testers reported problems. PowerGen notified all testers and made the plugs unavailable until the problem has been resolved. I received a notification that the problem has been resolved, and the new stock does not have the issue. Symptoms of the problem: Due to a poor connection inside the plug, the status light goes on when the plug is plugged in, but then goes out a few seconds later.

I am attaching two collages with 8 photos (each collage has 4) labelled with numbers 1-1 through 1-4 and 2-1 through 2-4 under customer photos that I will be referencing in this review.

The first thing I noticed that the charger has re-tractable prongs which is very handy for travel. Photo #1-1 shows the black plug with prongs retracted, and the white plug with progs extended.

Photos #1-3 and #1-4 show this plug on a power strip. This is where the only negative thing I have to say about this plug comes in. The position of the prongs is such that this plug takes up two slots and a bit of third slot. As you see not only does each plug cover two outlets, I also could put two of these plugs next to each even on the short side. The prongs are not polarized as you can see on photo #1-1. The plug itself is very slim, if the prongs could have been oriented differently, the plug would only take 1 slot.

The plug has two ports labelled "A" and "NA" which stands for Apple and Non-Apple devices (see photo 1-2). I own all Android devices but I tested both ports to see their behavior with my devices. The charger comes without a USB cord, so tested it with the USB cords that came with my devices.

I used Battery App by Elvison to determine how each device recognized the charging source. 'AC' status means the charging is at full charging rate. 'USB' status indicates charging at a lower charging rate. 'Discharging' status means that the charging rate is below the power that the device is consuming so it slows down the discharge rate but does not re-charge.

The key findings:

(1) Excellent results on both ports for Nexus Phone and Nexus 7 Tablet

(2) Samsung Galaxy 7.7 can be charged on NA port

The table below summarizes my findings:

The behavior of both Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus plugged in at the same time was the same as when they were plugged in individually. This means if you can charge them both together at the same time. If you need to charge Samsung Galaxy tablet and one of the Nexus devices you would need to put the Galaxy tab on the NA port.

The MP3 player worked in both ports. I was able to charge and listen to the MP3 player at the same time.

To summarize:

I liked:

I compared this plug to PowerGen Dual Port USB 2.1A 10W AC. And before I upgraded my Nexus devices to JellyBean 4.21 this plug gave a better performance on A port. However, when I recently retested 10W plug with Android's Jelly Bean 4.21 the difference became less significant. Nexus 7 shows the same behavior on both plug (both ports charge at AC rate), Samsung Galaxy Nexus Phone still does better with this plug on A port (AC rate vs USB rate).

I received two of these chargers from the company to test and review. Of them one worked perfectly, but the other unit was finicky and had to be jiggled to maintain power, which was a little disconcerting.

The charger that worked did a great job charging an iPhone 4, an iPhone 4S, an iPhone 5, and a Sony CyberShot TX10 digital camera. One of the two USB ports, one is supposed to be tailored to Apple devices and offer a faster charge time, but I didn't notice a difference. While charging the unit emits a slight humming noise.

The charger is decently constructed and finished in a rubberized texture. The power prongs fold up into the charger for portability, and seem well made. There is a blue LED power indicator light on the front of the unit.

All in all...if you get one that works well, you'll be very pleased.

01/03/2013 Update: I let my co-worker charge her Blackberry Torch on this charger from time to time and she says it takes longer than the Blackberry charger, and the battery seems to drain more quickly as well.

I was tired of having multiple USB wall charges for my many mobile devices. I want one charger that can charge them all and so far this items is doing just that. It works on my new Google Nexus 10 tablet, my old Samsung Alas 2 phone, and Plantronics Voyager BT Headset.

I love the hard rubbery feels of this black version as it feels very sturdy and rugged compared to the white one where it's smooth and glossy.

I will updated this review later on if I encounter any other problems.

I noticed something odd in the design of this charger. The metal prongs that plug into the wall outlet is a separate piece that can be disconnect from the body. I'm assuming it's designed like this is because they also sell international plugs for this charger. It takes very little effort to disconnect the plug from the body as all you do is push upward and it slides right out. With the way it's designed one would plug it into a wall outlet in the upward position however, that would force it's own weight downward along with gravity so there might be a chance for the plug to separate from the body. I have yet to have it separate on me while using it, but I just find it rather oddly designed.

The Apple product USB slot can charge my Samsung Alias 2 phone and also my Voyager headset, but it does charge at a slower rated compared to the non Apple product slot. I have yet to try my other non Apple products on the Apple USB slot. This is really nice as I can possibly charge multiple things at once even though its slower.

Well I accident broke my charger when I accidentally stepped on it when I dropped it. Oops! I found the weakest link on the charger and it's the detachable wall outlet plug as the entire casing cracked cleanly off the plug itself. The whole thing was just hanging on to each other by the two power wires, but luckily since it was a very clean crack of the casing I was able to use some super glue to put it back together without much scaring to the casings finished look. It still works after 2 days when I glued it back together.

I just bought a Kindle HD and found out it did not come with a charger and worse, it would not charge worth beans if plugged into a computer port! Remember when devices came with a charger that was sized to work with the unit? Oh well, no sense dwelling on the past. So, I needed a power source that would provide at least 1.8Amps (that is the rating on the charger that Amazon sells for the Kindle HD). While I was at it, it would be nice to have one unit that would also charge my phone, my extended battery packs, my IPod, and my IPAD. If you have ever tried using a charger that was not designed for an Apple product, you have probably seen the dreaded "this product is not compatible with your power source" message.

So, when I received this unit I was more than happy to check it out and see how it handled all of my devices. Having two charging ports (one for Apple products and one for everything else) made it possible now to charge multiple items at the same time! This is a really nice feature if you spend a lot of time traveling and you are lucky if you remember to charge one item each night. Being able to connect two at a time is a great feature. You just have to keep in mind that the maximum current that the charger can support is 3.5 Amps TOTAL! So, you get one port at 2.5 and one port at 1.0 or any other combination as long as it does not exceed 3.5Amps.

Many chargers are designed with prongs that do not retract and are long and/or bulky. The design on this charger is such that the prongs retract making for a much easier time packing this item. It is still a bit bulky, but not by much. The only design flaw (to me) is the fact that the labeling for which port is Apple and which port is Non-Apple is VERY difficult to read due to small print.

I used this charger for several days charging up my battery packs, my IPOD, my IPAD, my Kindle HD, and my phone and I have not had a single issue. The unit performs well, stays cool, and packs up easily. It also looks kind of cool with the dark blue band (actually, that is the point where the swivel prongs separate from the charger and it has a blue led light that indicates that the unit is receiving power (nice when you are under a desk in a hotel trying to find the plug that is not switched). It would appear that the unit can support International connections, but there is nothing that I can find about that on Amazon. I will have to write to the company to see if they sell just the prongs or if it is a feature for them to make it easier to produce for multiple countries.

Bottom line, this is a well made product that does what it is supposed to do and looks cool at the same time. In case Black is not your color, they also sell the same unit in White.

This is a good product if you dont have a case for your phone. it gets a little old having to remove my case every time i want to place it into the navigation mount. The other thing i am not happy with is the fact my carryer wants me to pay for their GPS service monthly. I just downloaded a differt app and that solved that problem. All in all it stays on the winodow nicely and I like the fact that it goes into "car mode" the second I place it into the unit. It makes taking calls eaiser as well. you may get annoyed with not having a cord to charge it while in the unit. i am in the process of looking for one now.

If you own a cell phone and like to use it in the car, this is a must have. i've heard nothing but good things about optima batteries, but mine must've been a fluke, 'cuz it died after just 6 months. a battery test showed that it was indeed bad. but it has a 3-year warrant. HOWEVER, amazon does not accept returns for batteries, 'cuz it's hazmat. instead, it just tells me to recycle it at my authorized local recycling dealer. i called optima, and they told me that amazon is NOT an authorized online dealer, but fortunately they were able to find a servicer locally that i can go to, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed. the moral of the story? optima batteries are great, but do not buy them from amazon! in the unlikely even that your battery fails prematurely, amazon does not take care of you. spend a little bit more money and get them form a local store or someone who's authorized. that probably goes for any electronic things and amazon. don't get me wrong. i love amazon, but i probably would only buy books and such from them from now on

Fits nicely in my 2004 Mini Cooper S. Only thing to look out for is you need to manually spread the clamp for the positive terminal. Will not slide on without doing so. And of course bend the extra wire up and out of the way as the terminal is farther in on the battery than it is on the stock oem battery but that information I found all over the net. I have only had it in for a couple weeks so I cannot speak to its longevity. Does seem to turn the car over a little easier/quicker, but I could be imagining that.

Bought this in October of 2010, battery got weaker & weaker within 3 months, finally crapped out by June. Had it on a recommended trickle charger & disconnected when not in use. Vehicles charging system was confirmed as being fine. Contacted seller at Bluegrass & they were very helpful but Optima demands that I spend $50 to ship back to seller when there is a local dealer near my house. I complained to Optima, they suggested I do a 10A fast charge to resucitate , which I did, & the case split within 15 minutes even though the battery never got hot. Then they have the gall to say that a split case is not covered under warranty. The el cheepo Walmart battery I'm using as a replacement has already outperformed the Optima piece of junk. Amazon is being very dishonest by selling this battery knowing there is NO warranty. Mine died after two years (into the three year replacement warranty) and Amazon will not do a single thing to stand behind the purchase. What else on this site isn't Amazon telling you doesn't have a warranty? I have been a loyal Amazon/Prime customer for years, but not after getting off the phone with Amazon about this battery. Follow up August 23rd, 2010:

Generac finally replaced my leaking unit. Hours of work on my part. The new unit idles quite different. On normal mode it idles significantly lower and flucuates up and down. In the economy mode, it simply idles even lower. The first unit seemed to idle normal (who knows) or high. In economy mode it flucuated up and down as stated in the manual. The electrical outlets are different. The first unit had commercial 120v outlets one plug vertical, one horizontal. I spent $50 for a commercial extension cord. The new unit has regular (parallel) plugs. Therefore I'll need to buy an adaptor. Unbelievable. If there are any more problems I simply will pay someone who knows what they are doing (Generac's service people do not) or throw the unit out. Stay away from this unit. And stay away from Generac.

June, 2010 Unit was defective out of box. Significant oil leak from engine even when not running. Took to 2 authorized Generac service shops. Still leaks. Leak is where 2 aluminum machine surfaces come together. Still trying to get resolution. Generac customer service fair at best. Takes considerable time to reach a human being. The unit already looks 2 years old due to the handling by the repair people and I've never used it. Generac has still not offered to replace. They "don't make the motors". A great excuse. I will contact Amazon corporate office if necessary to tell them not to sell this company's products and file in small claims court if necessary against Generac. Please consider other manufacturers' if you are looking for a small generator. I may be contacted at nfre at comcast dot net for photos of leak. Thank you.

I bought the generator to use on my boat to occasounally keep the batteries up when camped away from the marina. I was very disappointed in the loud noise level. It is advertised and also marked on the box as "ultra quiet"; well it is as loud as a lawn mower under load, and I wouldn't want to listen to that noise for hours at a time, nor subject that to fellow boaters nearby. I had expected maybe something that wouldn't be a nuissance and may be nearly as quiet as a Honda. No way, this is unacceptable to have to listen to.

I never got it to run for even 10 minutes, when I took it to the factory authorized repair depot they said it had water in the gas, they told Me this before working on it? The tank I fill My equipment with is used on 7 engines none of which had problems. The so called repair I had to pay for and accomplisehed nothing, I still cannot use the generator, and the factory refuses to warranty it. I have two other generators a 6 kw and a 1 kw both constant speed type one of which cost 99 dollars and puts this one to shame. Very poor showing and no warranty beware.

Next day it would not hold voltage. took to authorized dealer. 4 weeks later told me the carborator was dirty and not covered by warranty. male bovineshit! the nit needed adjusting. a warranty charge. but why wait for the manufacture to come up with the payment when you can hit the owner with a $75 "clean carburetor" charge. I would NOT recommend these.

When using either the car adapter or outlet charger you cannot use the phone while charging. I used the micro USB cable to charge my phone via the HTC wall charger and it took over 12 hours to fully charge. I was at a conference when I discovered this and had to be very careful how much I used my phone. I returned home and when I used the micro USB cable the phone came with it was 2 hours.

Go with the OEM items as they will work better. These cheap items will only cause you more aggravation.

For the $4 I think I spent, I would absolutely recommend as a cheap alternative, even if I need to end up getting another soon. I would buy this again, and may buy another to have backups for when I go on vacations.

Using this for my G2 (which I got about a year ago) about two weeks, so I can't say anything about longevity.

Notes about the cords/chargers:

-The micro USB fits snugly within the G2 socket; I can hang and shake the phone holding only the charger cord, and it stays on with each cord/charger. This is especially useful when driving and it falls off the console due to a sharp turn, where you can easily pull it back by the cord.

-I was able to use my phone with each charger (text, call, web, etc) without it going into car mode in both 2G and 4G environments.

-I've had no problems with charging times (all normal).

-The cords and connections all seem pretty much the same in terms of quality with respect to OEM products, though the connection part that you hold with your thumb is considerably larger. This is good because it's easier to hold and (dis)connect, but can get in the way while using the keyboard depending on how you hold the phone.

Campbell Hausfeld RP1200 12-Volt Compact Inflator

I have owned other Campbell-Hausfeld products that worked well, but this one was the exception. There does not appear to be any warranty, and even if there was one, it would not be worth the shipping charges to send it in for repair/replacement.

I used this thing once to inflate a basketball and it immediately blew a fuse. The unit does NOT indicate how much power it needs and I assumed that the standard 10 amp fuse on the cigarette lighter should be enough. Replaced fuse and then it worked on the basketball, but then a few months later it was blowing fuses again. I went to a 15-amp fuse, which did not blow, but the compressor would chug a couple of times and then stopped. Apparently its life was over! Now it's just an ugly paperweight!

I have this inflator for one year; I had to use it quite often having problems with one tire, then with another... Good inflator / good deal.

If your looking for a motorcycle pump for travel, this is a good one. Strip it all apart. Remove the plastic casing and trash it, pull out the guts, tape the start button to the motor, add alligator clips to end of wires, and you have a compact motorcycle travel pump just in case of a flat.

Wagan 2016-6 700W Continuous Power Inverter

It's a cheap 700W inverter, but definitely works well enough. I haven't measured the true power output, but it cranks out 300W all day with no problems. The waveform generator isn't the best in world (to be expected at this price point) so some of my AC-DC inverters (for example, my laptop's) emit a bit of a hum, but the waveform is sinusoidal enough to run them without problem and I don't have any worries about damaging them.

It has an low-battery shutoff, an over-volatage detector, and its own fuses so it should be able to protect itself, your electronics, and your vehicle's battery without problem.

My only real gripe is that even at this price point, the provided cables should be twice as long. However, longer ones are available for not much coin.

Just as a note for people in the market for inverters, any inverter over 200W needs to be directly connected to the battery, regardless of what the manufacturer claims. This inverter will NOT plug into your lighter or accessory socket and nor should you try it, unless you like blowing fuses.

I gave this product 3 stars because it didn't come with an adapter for the cigarette lighter. It would've helped to include that with the description. I wanted more power available for plugging in items in the car. I returned this to Amazon for a refund.

Apparently, 400 watts is the max for a car to supply. I have the 400 watt inverter and it works well.

I wasn't paying attention when I bought this unit (700 watt) and assumed it had a cig adapter that I could simply plug in. It doesn't (and yes, I see from the description that it never said that it did). That said, it's super-easy to clamp on to the car battery and it worked really well. I did not hard-wire it in to use while the vehicle was moving-just while stopped.

Takeawaygood unit, but don't buy if you need the cig adapter.
