JL Audio 250/1v2 250W RMS, Slash Version 2 Series Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier (250/1 v2)

JL Audio 250/1v2 250W RMS, Slash Version 2 Series Class D Monoblock Car AmplifierI've had this amp for a couple of years now and am completely sold. I have it running a 12" JL Audio W3 in a slot vented box. It slams hard, especially for just being a single sub. Also, I've hooked it up to my buddies pair of Kicker CVR 12's and it had them slumping hard. He had some cheap POS amp, supposedly 800-1000 watts, and my little JL blew it out of the water all around, pushing his speakers or mine. It's installed in my Suburban, and you can definitely feel the bass and people know that I'm coming when I have it turned up. My buddies that are real audiophiles have a lot more power in their ridiculous systems, but I have kids and a wife that I drive with and the truth is, it gets way too loud for them when I turn it up. However, people that don't know about stereo systems extensively doubt me when I tell them I have only one 12" sub making all that nice clean bass, and then they see how small the amp is and are really blown away. Don't let this little amp fool you. It's a BEAST for its size as are all the amps in JL slash series. You can't go wrong with this line of amps so long as you are running quality components with it.

I have this on a boat running an kicker comp 10 inch infinite baffle. It plays loud and clean with plenty of control. One of the best class D sub amps I have used. Not as good sounding as an old school AB design (ORION, PPI). It runs for days without shutting down and won't kill your battery in 10 minutes.
