OK I finally was able to get out there and set these up with my solar battery maintainers only to find the polarity is BACKWARDS on theses from all my solar panels? I know I could just cut the wires and reverse the polarity but I should not have to. Guess I am eating ANOTHER shipping charge from Amazon when I return these and lose my super saver shipping

I'm using this with a 3 stage 1A smart charger that's usually connected to my motorcycle to maintain the battery of a late model car that's not driven very often. Much easier and safer than attaching directly to the battery.. or running a dedicated circuit for the charger.

I've compared this gauge to two others; a similar digital gauge and one I bought from Pepboys for $5. It appears this is the more accurate of the three gauges; the other digital gauge shows a higher psi than what it actually is. I'm glad I bought this gauge or else I wouldn't have known my other digital gauge was off.

The fit is amazing, and for the price, you cannot get better floor mats. You will spend close to this amount at your local big box store for mats that are not custom fit. I prefer these over Weathertech, as they have a tray that traps any water, dirt, or mud that you track in, while the Weathertech mats have channels that run under the doors. The black looks very nice, and matches the interior of the charcoal variety well.

We use this item in our R & D lab to keep multiple batteries topped up for use on our Marine Control test bench. I think the basic battery design is fine. However, mine arrived beaten up due to woefully inadequate packaging. The box seams were split in several places and the battery had 2 corners which were flattened from impacts. When I looked to return the damaged item a screen pops up saying that hazardous materials cannot be returned. If I had it to do over again I'd try to find a store where I could inspect and buy undamaged goods.

Panasonic makes great batteries. You can get engineering details of this unit on-line at their Panasonic web site. I had wanted a 22Ahr battery to replace my Craftsman "Portable Power 1150" all-in-one air compressor / jump starter / inverter's Die Hard battery. This one had the exact same size, features, and ratings only it was a slightly lower 20Ahr (acceptable the largest I could find on-line). The first unit was shipped UPS with one layer of mini bubble wrap. At 15 pounds, you can imagine what happened... It did not leak but the corners were crushed/fractured and one soft lead terminal smashed beyond usability. Bravo to Amazon for sending a free no-hassle replacement, which wasn't packed much better, but with some luck arrived in good condition. Great price and great battery with a 3-to-10 year life depending on how you use it. It fit perfectly and works great in my power station. Minus one star for continuing to inadequately protect it for shipping it needs more than an Amazon book box when handled by rough shippers even if just another few wrappings of cardboard and tape. It seemed unfair that Amazon had to absorb the replacement cost when UPS did the damage.

I've used this 20AH-battery for years in my mobility scooter, and it's a great battery. Thus the five stars. It has great capacity, probably just as rated, and it lasts for years. Expect it to arrive damaged, though, if you order it here, so don't think that you can wait to order it until you really need it. It ships in a standard, flimsy Amazon box, with air-pillow packing that bursts when whacked by a 15-pound battery. I bought one here, and it arrived with a smashed terminal. Amazon gladly sent me another one, which arrived today with a hole in the box and in the plastic shell. They have (once again, happily) agreed to send me a third battery. Odds say it should get here in good shape, but we'll see. I've filled out the packaging feedback form twice now, so maybe the packaging will improve, but I doubt it. Oh, one more thing -you can't return the battery, so the regular returns process doesn't help you if you get a bashed one. Use another contact option -phone, chat, or e-mail.

7/28/12 update:

Amazon did not have a second replacement battery in stock, so I purchased it (via Amazon Marketplace) from Portable Power. It was a buck or so cheaper, got here a day faster than the Amazon orders, and was expertly packed. Nice heavy box, all six seams taped with fiber-reinforced paper tape, and very securely padded on all sides with fitted, sturdy, closed-cell-foam packing. The way a battery should be packed. I ordered this battery for my '72 BMW R60/5. The price was right, shipping was timely, but the wrong model was sent. I received the model LC-X1220AP which is the same battery, but with 8mm threaded posts (nuts included,) rather than the "P" model with "nut and bolt" terminals as written in the product description.

I got it to work easily enough. I had to bend the negative lead to allow for attachment to the posts, and now I have to carry an 8mm wrench on the bike (the smallest toolkit wrench is a 10mm) but it seems to work just fine. Also, it was reading just a little over 12v as it came so I had to stick it on a charger to top it off before I put it on the bike (the /5 is pretty sensitive in that area...) Just got back from a spin and all seems well. Making what I got work was as I said easy enough, and certainly easier than returning and reordering, but if I purchase another I am going to double check that the terminals are the ones listed. Certainly better than receiving an "equivalent" battery model as many have reported.

As they say, "a little bit of knowledge goes a long way..." If you live in or near a big city, this scanner will do absolutely no good because large metropolitan police forces use a trunk communication system due to the large number of units at work at one time. These systems aren't actually scrambled, but due to high volume of calls, it would be hard of a single scanner unit to keep track of them so while you might be able to hear one end of the converstaion, you won't necessarily be able to hear the other.

This unit is perfect for smaller cities which use frequencies betweem 153.0000 and 169.0000 for their police communications. The unit is also good for tracking airport traffic and, as you know by now, NASCAR events. The best thing to do when scanning for new frequencies is to have access to a code book for your area so you'll know what you're listening to at the time.

If you're technologically-challenged in any way, you're better off letting someone who knows what they're doing program the basic channels for you. I like the fact that's it's a lot smaller and not as heavy as its predecesors. It's a conspicuous as a mobile phone and a lot easier to carry on your belt without it getting in the way.

My #1 use for this scanner is for public safety scanning I have family in law enforcement & we like to listen in.

I own a Uniden BC248CLT, & for years I owned a BC80XLT handheld. My BC80XLT was recently damaged & needed replaced. I ordered this BC72XLT, & am ready to return it also. It is not anywhere near the quality my prior Uniden handheld was. My 80 picked up as well or better than my 248 does here at home. This 72 picks up maybe 50% of the traffic of my others--whether in the house, outside, or even right in town. The buttons on this are awful, too. I have to go through multiple steps to do things that took only 1 button press on the 80. The reception, though, is my biggest concern AND complaint. I never had to purchase any extra antenna or such for my other Uniden handheld to get the better reception. Also, the volume, even at max output, is only "normal" listening level--so if I am in a noisy environment, I cannot turn it up to hear it better. My old BC80XLT had much better volume.

An additional warning Uniden's Support has gone down the toilet. I thought Uniden was a company that would at least *acknowledge* my complaint, and maybe even have some suggestions of a better product all I got was an auto reply that I should hear from Customer Service in 2-3 business days--and then I never heard a thing. I checked my support question on their site, and it was marked "closed." Good luck!

This scanner is everything that I expected it to be. It's small and compact, it's easy to hear, it's easy to program, and it's very useful. The price was very reasonable and it was well worth the money. I don't go a day without listening to it and it goes everywhere with me. The only negative thing about it is the batteries don't last long and when I have it in the car, the signal isn't very strong. If you purchase it, make sure you use rechargeable batteries with it, or if you are home, just keep it plugged in using the adapter that comes with it. Other than that, I highly recommend this scanner to everyone.

When I saw the listing for this product, I was a little skeptical. A FM transmitter/charger, for this price? Whatever. I purchased this to use on a road trip and had mixed results. I'm giving it 3 stars becuase it really only half works. The fm transmitter worked fine. In fact, it had the best sound quality of any transmitter I've tried. The charging portion of this was crap. The first time I hooked it up, I thought it was great. It charged the phone fast. After that first time though, it never worked right again. The best I can get from the charger is that it maintains the battery level on the phone wherever it is at when you plug it in, but it does not charge the phone at all. I thought maybe my cigarette lighter was failing but my gps and other phone chargers all worked without a hitch, so it has to be a failure by this unit.

This is awesome because I drive an 02 Protege which doesn't have auxiliary (such an uncool chic lol)But now I can easily hook-up my Virgin Mobile Triumph and music plays clear and loud.

When I charge my phone it seems to charge fairly quickly :)(a twenty minute drive gives me half a battery charge).

I don't charge and listen to music simultaneously though unfortunately, because as I accelerate in my stick shift the faster I drive the louder a high pitch hum continuously sounds.

It's maybe an inch taller than the Westco battery or OEM Panasonic battery, so I had to extend the threaded rod that holds the top bracket, but otherwise it went in easily and the polarity was correct. I bought this battery for my 2006 Acura TSX in July 2010 based on the rave reviews. It lasted 1 year and 10 months and that "wonderful" three month warranty is useless when purchased from Amazon (not Amazon's fault, but Optima's as they make you deal with the seller for replacement and you can't ship a battery back to them). When I took the battery in to Autozone to have it tested they said they see more dead Optima batteries than any other brand. They actually had two dead ones sitting behind the counter. I now have a new Duralast from them with 36 month free replacement warranty that I can actually use (walk in with the battery, walk out with the new one), an 8 year limited warranty, AND it was CHEAPER! Long story short, save your money and stay away from this "premium" battery. You aren't getting what you pay for.

The description of this battery stated that it was made to fit Honda Civics specifically, which is the application that I wanted it for. The only problem is that the top is contoured in such a way that the top mounting bracket does not fit properly and a shim must be made so that the clamp will clamp and not slide back and forth and side to side.

I chose this battery over the Odyssey which had better cca for pole orientation. Optima kept the terminals on top so that my stock connectors could be used, with the Odyssey they would have to be modified.

I got this extra charger. The only thing that worked is the wall adapter itself. The USB retractable cable did not work! I also tried with different computers, laptops USB ports and different locations for outlet (home, work, hotel) and the same message: "device not supported" came up. Purchased this along with the Nitecore MH 40 (nice light). Found the charger to be defective right out of the box. Worked on DC power but not when plugged into AC. Returning was easy and fast thru Amazon. Exchanging wasn't an option available, but am going to try purchasing another one since I can use the included batteries in other devices

So far so good. I am using a Sure Fire E2D LED DEFENDER and an M4 Scirrako Extreme Beam tactical light and this charger and battery say they are the best choice I could have made for a charger plus batteries. These are serving us well.

The CR123As are 3.7v and do not seem to present a problem with either tac light at this point. The larger batteries have a bigger diameter and do not fit in my Sure Fire, unfortunately. However, the larger batteries DO fit my Extreme Beam Scirrako quite comfortably and give well over 3 hours continuous run time. The CR123As fit mu Sure Fire nicely and function well enough with well over 2 hours of run time. These seem to work as well as the normal lithium batteries with no noticeable drawbacks which is unusual for rechargeables.

The other thing is the intelligent charger. It is not a 15 minute rapid charge so expect 3 hrs for a good deep charge. The fact that it is "smart" enough to determine the chemical makeup of the batteries and then choose the best charge "patterns" for optimal charging and longest battery life is a remarkable feature to say the least. It will also charge any AA or AAA batteries in any combination as the slots function independently of each other. I have owned many different hobby and utility chargers and battery types over the duration of many years and this is hands down by far the best charger I have ever owned and even the best price. I just wish we could charge C, D, 9v, etc.

Initially I bought Winch-in-a-bag for my Elk hunt to Colorado. After recieving it this past Saturday I wondered how I could try it out. Well today my better half ran the riding mower in the creek beside the property. Using it just as the instructions state it pulled the tractor out no problem. With this being the first winch I ever used the only thing I didn't like was how the cable doesn't wind evenly.

I used this product in the process of cutting down 16 trees to help guide the tree in the proper direction. It functioned in this application. However, the cable tends to track into the sharp edge of the Hause or cable lead hole. This action quickly wears the TPO block and results in cable damage against the sharp edge of the metal hause. The TPO block is not available as a service part. Additionally, on my unit, the "spring steel cable tensioner" proved defective. It cracked apart and was also scraping on the cable. Based on the tracking design issue, I would not recommend this winch for anything more than a once or twice in a lifetime use in a pinch. I am guessing the tensioner issue was a quality defect.

Good for small jobs but lacks power. I bought it to use on a 63 foot Rohn fold over radio tower but it had insufficient power to raise it.

Read the reviews before I bought this and was apprised at the vat differences in them. I needed a winch for some light lifting and to move a truck around my yard. It functioned flawlessly. I think that if it is used as designed it does what it is supposed to at a very reasonable price. If you are stupid enough to think this can be used like a piece of heavy industrial equipment then you will be disappointed. If you want something to throw in your trunk as insurance to drag yourself out of a ditch it will work perfectly. I would recommend getting some sort of snatch block so you can double it's load pulling capability.

Product is fine for light work ---I live in Alaska and used the winch to pull my snowmachine out of deep snow -the winch worked fine but the yellow cover over the terminals came apart and the engage/disengage knob broke after the second use --outside temp. was plus 20 above this knob is made of plastic and does not hold up after minumal use. The bag the winch comes in--is way to small and also does not hold up well-maybe this item should be called a throw-away winch.

I bought these in tan color, but the gray is the same product. I bought a new Chevy traverse and wanted a dual dvd player package and this one is perfect, works great, my 5 year old knows how to run them already, easy to use great picture nice and they fold up real easy. The sound is very good too. The headphones it comes with work great my son loves them. If you are thinking about this one, buy it you won't be disappointed.

O M G, this is the coolest little thing. It works just fine, picks up the sounds very nicely on my fm station. Very good sound quality. It plays the best on my fm 88.1 station and that works fine for me. Under $10., go figure. Every once in a while, it picks up a little static, I change it's position, and I am good to go. I don't drive a lot. I use it to go to and from work which is about 3 miles, I also use it when I am driving around running errands. I am very pleased with it. I do recommend it. It did not come with instructions, but was too easy to figure out.
