Clifford Matrix 1x 2-Way Security Alarm System

This alarm is perfect if your looking for solid security on somewhat of a budget.

Pros:

2-way LCD (shows you if your car is locked/unlocked on the remote, shows you which areas are tampered with and beeps when alarm is set off loud enough to wake you up)

Great Range Uses Clifford's new XR+ Extreme Range superheterodyne reciever for better range and better reliability on signals. Works about a 1/4 mile when there's not much blocking it, about 400 feet maybe when there is something blocking (like a building) but this is actually better then most other 2-way pagers.

Starter Kill Disables your starter in the event the alarm is triggered so vehicle won't start.

Blue LED Let's them know your car is armed

Extra remote comes with an extra 4 button 1 way remote just in case

Loud siren Really loud. Louder then my Honda factory alarm for sure and louder then most car horns

Adjustable sensor Shock sensor is adjustable so you can set how sensitive your car is to being knocked

Dome light supervision interior dome light (if equipped) can be wired to the alarm lock/unlock.

Audible & Visable Confirmation beeps when armed or disarmed, and flashes parking lights, also beeps on 2-way remote

Life-time Warranty DEI backs a lifetime warranty on their alarms & Clifford is no exception

Cons:

Not as many add-on outputs as other alarms (but this doesn't matter unless you want to add a lot of things like automatic window roll up, back up battery, etc)

Nothing else negative!

I LOVE this alarm, its great and really does its job. I'm no longer worried about my car wherever it may be parked and i'm not worried about anyone coming to mess with it when its parked on my drive way or on the street because its in close enough of a range to page me.

You can't beat any alarm made by DEI (Directed Electronics Inc.)

I bought this brand Clifford, which installed by professional. For first 3 months, all my electronic system went banana and of course it was out of order. I took back to the dealer. They re-installed and re-set everything. This time after only a month, all my light panel went banana again. All of them, system, SRS, signal, engine and oil warning lid up. I brought back to the deal, who was nice enough to rip off the whole thing and install a new one.

After 6 months, it happened again. I got sick of it. I deactivated system myself and promised never buy Clifford again. I advise you not too.

A painful experience: money and time and headache.

PS: The dealer was very good. I don't think the installer got to do with this problem. They installed my friend car with Viper without any problem.
