Ballistic EVO2 50 Dry LiFePO4 Motorcycle Battery 80CCAInstalled the 16 cell unit to replace a conventional lead acid battery in our vintage race car. Double the CCA with a 16 lb reduction in weight. Unfortunately it didn't even last 1 hour. It failed completely, going from 13.2 v to.6 v in a heart beat.

There are not instructions about having to mount it to protect from vibrations and I have never had to do so to any battery over 40 years of running race cars. So far my email to Ballistic has gone unanswered concerning the warranty and why it should fail from vibration.

I purchased a spare so I will install it for the next test day and see if it lasts any longer. I will follow up after the test day. But for me the jury is out.
