Not long after buying these I had to use them to jump my sons car. They worked fine. Even though they are one of the cheaper sets on here the quality seems pretty good.

Of course I mean hot LITERALLY, the cables are too small and they heat up like crazy when used. Get a bigger gauge wire.

12-ft isn't LOOONG..Think about it. A car's length (including side-mirrors) would be about 6ft to 7ft. One needs to have the 'helper' car parked next to ''needed' car. Otherwise, this cable length is useless. No problem with the quality. It's just that, since you do not buy this often (like groceries), buy a longer one (20ft is better)
