TYC 2-07776 Ford Crown Victoria Replacement Alternator

TYC 2-07776 Ford Crown Victoria Replacement AlternatorAlthough it's marked as for "Crown Victoria", this brand-new TYC Alternator is a perfect replacement alternator for many years, makes, and models of FORD vehicles with V-8 engines -from the Lincoln Town Car to the F-150 Harley-Davidson Lightning, and 140 vehicles altogether !! Check before ordering.

With a strong 130-Amp, 2100-Watt rating, there's a plenty of power to keep your battery fully charged and provide ample capacity to run all the new lights, horns, bells, whistles, and cameras that we seem to need more of every day. This is the exact replacement for such high-demand vehicles as the Ford Police Interceptor and the 5,000-lb. Tow Package, so you KNOW it'll handle whatever you throw at it!!

Also in the box is the Factory Test read-out, complete with test results and a performance graph.

The alternator is really easy to install -But FIRST you must disconnect the NEGATIVE (-) Battery Cable !! This is the PERFECT time to check the water level in the battery, clean the battery area with baking soda, and charge the battery completely.

A half-inch Breaker Bar to loosen the serpentine belt, a 10 mm x 3/8 socket and a 3-inch extension will get all 3 bolts and the red cable terminal. An ice-pick will help the snap-in connectors come loose.

When installing the new unit, put a small dab of PermaTex Electical Grease on the end of each pin of the connectors and on the female side, too. The connections will be sealed against moisture and corrosion when they're plugged together.

When you're finished, carefully line up the serpentine belt -re-connect the Negative (-) Battery Cable, and crank it up !! Let it idle for 10-15 minutes and use a VOM to check the voltage between the battery terminals with engine idling -13.5 to 14.5 volts is ideal. Good Luck !!
