after replacing to a high output alt and a new battery 1st like u should next i added this to my kicker xs 50 600 watt amp i also stil have a 1 fared cap hooked up and i also upgraded all grounds under the hood but my lights dont dim now and i can play it with car turned off as well and not worry...they say you need to keep it close to the wattage of what you are running it on.so far no problems yet..i also added the clarion eq and crossver to my system and that really made a differance good luck to all

i think its a good idea to use a drycell upfront as well if possible
