I was gifted my first car in May 2012 as a graduation gift which is a 2003 Mazda 6 (the v6) and the remote that came from the dealer went out literally a few hours after it was purchased. I ordered this on July 27th, 2012 which was a Friday and it shipped on Monday July 30th and was at my door on Wednesday August 1st, 2012. (I got standard shipping aka the cheapest) I was hoping it would work on my 2003 since it is advertised for a 2004 but it works perfectly and is identical to the original key fob.I'm very happy with this remote because it gets really annoying having to manually unlock the doors/trunk and not being able to set the alarm. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I'd like to thank the sellers for the very fast shipping and saving me from having to spend a fortune at the Mazda dealer.Between my husband and myself, we tried to program the key fob 10 times. We followed the instructions that were included, but it never worked. We finally ended up searching online for better directions and it worked on the fist try. We followed these instructions that we found online and these worked for our 2004 Mazda 6 wagon:
Step 1: Open drivers door and leave open.
Step 2: Lock and unlock the drivers door using the power door lock switch on the door.
Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.
Step 4: Turn key to on position and return to off position. (IMPORTANT use ON position NOT ACC position). Do this 3 times within 10 seconds. Leave key in the ignition.
Step 5: Open and close the drivers door 3 times. (Door should be left open after this step).
Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors.
Step 7: Press the unlock button on remote twice. (This is different than other posts that say you can push any button. Our experience is that it has to be the unlock button.)
Step 8: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done!
We would've given them 5 stars for price and very prompt shipping, but the inaccurate/incomplete instructions and typos brought our review down a star.

Worked perfectly for my 2005 Mazda 6, programmed in under a minute. Mine did NOT come with instructions; however, instructions can found through a quick Google search. I followed the instructions here: Arrived Promptly. It works on my 2005 Mazda 6. Both original Fobs went dead (new battery didn't help). This one works great, and I'm so happy to not have to stick the key in the door, or reach in to pop the trunk.
