For years I believed my dealer's service manager when he said, "Oh, we'll have to order a new fob for $85 and charge $50 to program it." NEVER AGAIN!!! It's a simple matter of the conductive paint inside the fob wearing off of the push-buttons. Buy this product, put the printed circuit board from your old fob into this new one and you'll have a fully functioning key fob again. Absolutely perfect! The original fob for my buick, stopped working after about three years, the conductive paint wears off the inside of the pad and will not make contact with the electronics inside, so the fob will not work or work only if excessive pressure is placed on button. The new pad solved the problem and saved me alot money, needed to buy the fob and electronics from the dealer. Thanks I am very pleased. The soft rubber buttons on my old fob wore out so I ordered this as a replacement. The hard plastic shell of the new fob didn't fit together real well so I just used the soft rubber buttons and put them in my old fob unit. Works great. It looks just like my factory key fob and it fixed the unlock button that was not working. I had no idea it was so cheap and easy to fix my clicker! The factory replacement price is unbelievably high and this case was 6$ with the shipping. Totally worth it as they shipped fast via the US post office I had it in 2 days after ordering. (I hate Fedex smartpost, the rest of my order shipped the same day and is still being held at the hub a 4-5 hour drive away. It MIGHT be here in a week or 10 days after the clicker arrived according to the tracking site.) I used my old case with mother board and the new button pad. It looks and acts like a brand new key fob. The new case is comparable to the factory case but I just decided to use the old case instead as it was a bit lighter in color. (probably just faded.) But the product color and style is very close to the factory orginal case.I like it fine except the front of the case should be a little thicker to give it greater button depth. The buttons are too flush with the case and they are often accidentally pushed and engaged by the objects in my pocket.
