The mini crowbar broke almost immediately, good thing it had two sides to it. Had the hardest time removing the old battery, TomTom sure knows how to glue things down.Realized there was no double tape included in the kit and I didn't have any at home, had to salvage little pieces of adhesive from the old battery.
All in all with a little determination everything worked out. When your TomTom Go 930 won't hold a charge, TomTom support offers a too bad so sad recommendation. The TomTom support team tells you that there is no way to change the battery; not so fast. This product is for the handy gadgeteer. The DVD included with the product clearly explains the process of changing out the battery. They supply the tools, you supply some dexterity and perhaps a hair dryer to loosen the glue that holds the original battery in place. You will need a well lit work space and perhaps a small tweezers to help replace screws on the motherboard. Be patient, especially if you have to use the hair dryer for a few minutes too loosen the old glue.Overall this product is great. However the very detailed disassembly instructions were not detailed enough as I almost broke my GPS because of the SD card. You must remove any SD card you have installed or the dummy one that comes installed from the factory. Be careful removing the old battery as it is glued in well; take your time and be patient.Great product. Super instructions that were easy to follow using the included dvd and my Tom Tom works like new again.Cannot install this battery without destroying the circuit board that it is glued to. Called tomtom and they inform you that your GPS is basically a throw away unit. Will NEVER purchase a tomtom product again!!
