Bought this item June 19th 2012. Unit worked fine, as advertised for 1 week. Then it started giving a "Device not found" error. Called USA Spec, I was told that sometimes an overflow of data occurs, just needs to be unplugged so it resets. Did that a few times until it finally started to work again. After a few days, the same problem. Reset it again, worked fine for a few more days.

This time, while I was in the process of unplugging and plugging, it started to work. I discovered that the black plug going to the back of the radio was intermittent.

I got on the phone with USA Spec, VICTOR asked me all kind of questions about the failure and for the invoice of the product. I quickly emailed it to him while we were on the telephone. After he reviewed it he said that I had to pay $20.00 for the harness/cable, that I did not pay full retail value for the product and therefore it had no warranty.

This is the first time that I hear this. Furthermore, he said that the company that sold me the adaptor is not a distributor of their products. Like I am supposed to know. I purchased from AUDIOSAVINGS through AMAZON, no problems whatsoever with them, they shipped the item promptly.

This could not be easier to install. Once I got my Dash open,(The only challenging part.) It just clicked right in and was working right away. Sound is great and there are so many control options, you cant go wrong. My only gripe is you cant put your entire ipod on shuffle without putting it on direct play mode, and you cant see song info in this mode. Kind of a bummer.

installation was extremely easy and the product works as advertised. did not want to change the factory radio and this product supplied exactly what i was after.

I installed the unit into my 2008 F150 and it took me about 10 minutes. The hardest part was putting the trim back around the radio (pushing the tabs properly to lock them in). Otherwise it would have taken 5 minutes.

I was using my iPod plugged into the line-in above the stereo, but it sounded pretty bad. The first time I played a song through this unit, it almost brought tears to my eyes. The sound quality is superb for MP3/AAC.

I was dissapointed at first that you can't select genres from the iPod (I knew this when I bought it), but I figured I would give a shot at making a play list for each genre and just pop all the respective songs into those. This solution worked perfectly. Now I have my playlists each named with a number in front (1-, 2-, 3-, etc) with 1 being mine, and 2 being my wifes, and the rest are each genre.

This unit fits the bill perfectly, keeping the factory radio in place and allowing me to dump all my songs into one play list and then turn on random play and enjoy.

Only one complaint...it seems to react slowly accessing the info from the radio when you are searching through lists, such as artists or albums. This may be the radio, the unit, or the interaction between the radio/unit/ipod. It's not enough to take away a star.
