Bought three of these and they work as advertized. The male terminal is not standard size and is quite a bit undersized. I wanted to attach neg battery cable to it but had to squeeze it down too much. The material appears to be a cast metal and the first one broke trying to attach cable. Be careful how you hold it for this operation. Was more careful with the second one and it is attached on my boat and appears to work fine. Also a good theft prevention gadget.The problem is the stem on the device sticks out too far and is impossible to connect to your existing cable. Room in the battery box is usually limited so it needs to be revised accordingly.
