My original key fob broke down by the key ring. This is an empty shell. You'll have to open the original key fob to remove the circuitry and install it into this one. There are only 6 pieces

This is one of the best deals on Amazon, considering it cost $150 for a replacement remote at a dealer. It may take all of 5 minutes to open the case of the old shell on top where its indented to open, remove the circuit board (don't shock the board via a static charge) the battery and battery contact and reinstall in the new shells in reverse order. This case is exactly like my old remote. I only gave it 3 stars because I had difficulty with the spring that came with it that holds the battery since it wasn't as sturdy as my old one. I had to use the spring from my old remote case. I found that it was easier to progam one that came with the electronics.
