d1spec voltage stabilizer...

ok so i got this because my car starting idling fairly high.. and it says it helps rough idle and such...

i have a 1989 mustang lx with 86k miles

i had already bought the 3M kit and it actually raised my idle even more -_from 1500 average to 3000...

so i cant tell if the 3M kit helped or made it worse...save your money..NO 3M kit...

so i hooked this VOLTAGE STABILIZER up to my battery..+ to + and to -...it wouldnt turn on..plus there was things the instructions say NOTHING about..ill get to that later....

PRO's:

-can see the numbers fine, bright leds..

-starting the car sounded much more....smooth?

-stereo does sound a bit cleaner but it makes the radio staticy..but the bass is more....i wanna say "clear"

(i am running pioneer 1300deh deck with 1000 watt eclipse amp and 1200watt max kenwood sub)

-BETTER RESPONSE to brakes..(since my car started idling high it was hard to stop the car with brakes...this fixed that problem ENTIRELY!)

-after my car started idling high i lost acceleration...i put this on and i could peelout out of my driveway..

-car idles at about 1500 still until i press the gas then it goes to about 1000! woohoo.

-my AC seems to work better! it blows ALITTLE more but its MUCH colder!

-comes with sticky pad for stick adhesion rather than screwing it in

-has switch to turn screen off while trunk is down so it doesnt drain the battery

-easy to install if you know how

cons:

-soooo annoying to install if you dont know how

install:

1.unplug battery terminals..

2.put the + and from the VS to the battery terminals

3.plug the other 3 wires to the chassis,engine block and valve covers

4.^^^^ dont know where those are? then go chassis all the way..

5.there is a little antenna looking piece that come with the VS...hook the DC power cord to it..use of of the 3 ground cables and connect it to the antenna looking thing...its actually the hood switch for the LED to turn off once the hood is closed...then instal it wherever..

6.use zip ties to secure wires

7. put battery terminals back on battery and there you go!

overall id say well worth it...for 80$?? really? this is worth it...made my old car feel new...ish..

makes it feel lighter too..

Came as described in images. The only problem is ths instructions are translated from Japanese horribly. There's allot of other pieces and things the instructions don't mention. The instructions just tell you what not to do to avoid damaging it or shocking yourself. If you buy it make sure you know what your doing.

when i received it and installed, it showed the correct voltage for about 2minutes then went dead!!!its been off ever since and a total waste of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
