They were easy to use and made a good connection, that part was great.
I bet these cost pennies to make.
If you need a lot of these it can add up.

I wanted to hook up a converter in a car. Bought one and some 8 ga wire. When these showed they were surprisingly tough. It would take a vice of a real good size pair of pliers to crimp these. I just stuck the wire in and filled with solder. VERY solid connection. I did find my battery terminals use a 3/8 " bolt though. So on two of them I had to ream the hole out a little but it was easy to do and they are working great. These are not some flimsy thing you can easily bend, they are well made.Read Best Reviews of Monster 200 Crimpable Ring Terminals (8-gauge, 5/16" stud) Here
I can't really imagine better quality materials for a ring terminal. I can say that the design isn't quite perfect though.Regarding their "rating" or durability: they're more than adequate for the rated gauge wire. The simple fact that they are so thick you have to labor to pinch them tight is a testament to their build. I cannot imagine these not being up to the task for any reason.
Now, the one negative to me is the design, and essentially their are two choices for this type of connector: open and closed (this product).
I prefer the ones with the open end that the tip of the wire protrudes through. That type allows me to crimp half of the connector at a time and leaves the wire in a more round shape vs this closed type that flattens completely leaving a little metal on each side of the wire. Shrink wrap improves the finished appearance significantly, but overall, the open looks better and is slightly easier to use.
If you don't have access to the open ended terminal connectors, I still highly recommend these.

I ordered numerous of these items of different gauges and it appeared they put more money into the package to look flashy vs. the quality of the terminals. They were very light weight and by no means were they rated for the gauge wire which they were sold. I'm using these in non-car audio applications, but regardless of the application, none of the monster terminals were rated at what they were sold for. I ended up buying some non-monster terminals and have since thrown these away. They were useless.Coreydont be fooled by the # 200 thats not the number of ring terminals you get, you only get 2...very disappointed.
