The price on this item was great, but while the GPS is charging, you cannot view the screen. So if you need the GPS for a long trip, you would need to charge it up before, as you will not be able to view the screen.

this product did not even work, everytime i tried to plug it in, it acted like it was connected to a computer and would not even allow the garmin to come on.

I really appreciate the efforts of people who make better quality goods for best price. Though my GPS finds it as a charging cable at times, till today I am able to use my GPS without any problem. I sincerely recommend this prodect.
