I've finally gotten round to installing it in my Daihatsu Sirion 2007 instead of an old JVC unit that was in there.

Installation locally took about 30mins or so and it worked like a charm. The package had everything i needed, more or less,

and aside from the fact FM radio reception won't work very well here until it is calibrated to our local frequencies,

the BT audio/phone connection works very well with my Galaxy Nexus and provides all that i needed from the unit.

I'll be testing the USB and AUX interfaces as well, But i'm already well pleased from this unit.

After not having the capability of listening to anything but local radio or a CD in the car. This opened up the possibility of AUX, USB and Bluetooth for music with the bonus of hands free calling via Bluetooth. Great product, works great, good price, would buy again. Only regret not getting this car audio upgrade sooner.

This stereo is fantastic. Great sound, and fantastic features.

I hook up my Droid via Bluetooth, and can then talk to people over the car's speakers.

It also has a USB hookup which could charge that same Droid, or hookup an Ipod.

Excellent get one before supplies run out, as this stereo is no longer being manufactured

I was upgrading from another Sony stereo that I installed about 5 years ago, so the very first bonus was that the main wiring plug that was connected to the old stereo was wired the same as the new one. Thank you, Sony for consistency over time. No rewiring for the new plug, just unplugged the old stereo, slid it out of the dash, slid the new one in and plugged everything back in.

This stereo has all the granularity of control I could ask for, as far as configuring sound, and a new (at least to me) "position" configuration to optimize the sound for the occupants in the car. Since I normally drive alone in my car, I set it for "front/left" position and it does make a difference. I like options.

One small "con" is that the "Dimmer" function only dims the LCD display screen, not the (really bright) blue LED lights on the front of the stereo. I could change their color to red at night to alleviate this, but the rest of my interior lights are blue, so I don't want to do so. It would have been nice if they would have dimmed as well as the screen.

The remote is easy to use as well, and button placement was well thought out.
